When I arrived at the gate for our flight we were told Alaska had a new policy that started 6/4 (we were flying on 6/7) that only allowed a much smaller size carry-on. If suitcases didn’t fit the new smaller size rules one had to pay $25 and check it. We have three people flying round trip - that would add $150 to our total. I shopped carefully for low fares. Many people on the flight had to pay at the gate. Not cool Alaska."

Cons: "Curbside needs to stop chasing cash tips and do their jobs. If they focused on that tips would be easy to come by. The curbside attendant that took my bag didn’t even bother to check my id. He asked me my name and asked where my destination was. I told him Cincinnati as a layover then LaGuardia where he said that was wrong. He then proceeded to print a boarding pass that wasn’t mine and load my bag into the conveyor. Not 5 mins go by when I realize what happened I wound up having to go to special services to rectify the situation. Which ultimately consisted of me waiting another hour in LaGuardia to get my bag. Please delta have these curbside handlers actually want to do their job and stop chasing cash tips."

Had a problem and when i asked for their assistance was given the Delta 800 number and told to call and they walked off. When i called it was a 2 hour wait for an agent. Thank goodness for their app as i was able to.change my flight with the My Delta app. Also they had overbooked the flight and rather than giving assurance to people just told us to wait and "line up orderly"."

Instead of waiting for 22 hours for the next available flight, or driving for 7 hours from Atlanta to Cincinnati, we had to fly into another city and drive to Cincinnati from there AT OUR OWN EXPENSE. It was a rebooking nightmare."

"Because of a mechanical problem, we were deplaned and placed on a new plane. The new plane then had to be refueled while we sat in the plane. In these situations, where refueling was entirely predictable, given the new plane, we should’ve been left in the terminal longer to enjoy its comfort rather than “sardined“ in the plane for a longer unnecessary wait."

"Worst experience ever. My carry on was checked in and I had to carry all my electronics (laptop, etc) as if I was lost. No food. No proper AC. It was clearly stated that I have a carry on that I could bring with me and I wasn't allowed a carry on upon boarding. I flew many airlines (International and domestic airlines) and this by far is the worst experience I've had."

The screen said carousel 12 and confirmed it with local reps and then after waiting for a while some passenger says "if you're coming from Charlotte the bags are at 11, that's where I found mine". The miracle of flight is a miracle. I rarely complain but more often than not when flying domestically I realize how stretched the airlines are."

Cons: "The Overnight flight I had was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Too uncomfortable to even sleep at all. The seating is so tight, I could barely move my legs when the seat in front of me was reclined (and I am tiny!) I landed after my connecting flight was already boarded, causing an employee from the airline to announce my name over the intercom on the plane and tell the passengers to "clear a lane for me." I ran with my suitcase over my head, bumping into people and making it to my next gate...where I was told there was ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM for my carry on...which was also, very tiny. I specifically did not want to check my bag because I needed to immediately hop off the plane to make it to work on time. Another customer was VERY upset about having to check his bag and was pulled aside. I finally was told I needed to check my bag at the gate to get on. So i did. As I entered the plane, about half of it was COMPLETELY empty with PLENTY of room. I was floored. About 10 minutes later, the very angry man happily entered with his carry on and stored it easily in the overhead bin. My frustration was at a peak. But I said nothing. When I arrived to Newark, I rushed to baggage claim and guess what? After 30 minutes of waiting, my bag never showed up. I had to check in with information and finally found it. But this caused to me to be late for work. I have usually had a great experience with United. But this experience has changed my mind completely and am very upset."

Cons: "The plane was a small plane and we had to disembark on the tarmac. There were two attendants with wheelchairs but they didn't have my name so I walked on. The flight attendant called to me and said to wait. One of the attendants came up with a wheelchair and said he would take me. Unfortunately, a steep ramp had to be used to get into the airport building. He asked another worker to help him and all the way up the ramp I had to listen to comments about "good thing they had eaten their Wheaties" and "they were getting a good workout." I know that I am not a small person, but these ongoing comments were rude and insulting. When we got into the gate the attendant told me that he didn't have my name on his list and had to call for permission to take me through the airport. I waited and he came back and said he couldn't take me, but if I could wait someone else could come for me. I had waited enough already and suffered their rude comments, so I said no thanks and walked slowly through the airport. This experience has left me with a bad feeling for the airline and its personnel. I believe their staff could use sensitivity training at the very least!"

I live in NYC so can get myself around, but kayaks pushes were infuriating as I am traveling with a wheelchair guest and your System is sending out the INCORRCT information. On a red eye they turned the lights back on to sell is credit cards which felt disruptive of the possibility of sleep and the stewardesses were quite sharp with their directions for the patroness. Trenton put passengers in and they sat on the tarmac back the APU was broke (essentially plane's starter). Then people finally were able to get off the plane. Meanwhile, our flight to Cincy couldn't leave because the airport wouldn't let us use a different gate! Apparently, Frontier wasn't paying what the City wanted so we sat there waiting for over 6 hours though our plane was at a different part of the airport waiting on is, we couldn't board and leave!!!"

Pros: "After reading a number of the negative responses posted by of other travelers I went back and looked at the initial booking: dates, times, upgrades and fares for our two round trip tickets. I can only explain the difference in our positive experience and their bad ones in that by making my initial choices on those specific dates and times and that by choosing to purchase the upgrade we had a good outcome. It’s the business model, if you use a site like Kayak use the filters. If you choose the lowest price as your default you get what you pay. Actually, about a week prior to our round trip my wife had flown to San Diego one-way and that one-way ticket actually cost her about $3 more on a different carrier than both of our two round trip tickets combined (before the upgrades) on Frontier. Had I been stuck in the back of the plane, in a middle seat, without priority “zone 1” boarding and had I been surprised with having to pay extra for both our checked and carry-on baggage at the counter I would not have been a happy camper either. I guess if you start out the process by only looking for the (best/ lowest?) price, then it comes down to this; what is more painful, paying for the upgrades or the hell of the cattle car."

With bus delays, I walked up to the ticket counter at 9:24pm to retrieve my ticket. Flight leaves at 10:00pm. The attendant tells me I missed my flight by 9min because you have to check in at least 45min early and that there was no way I could board. I asked if the plane had already left, he said that it had not. No good answer as to why I couldn't be accommodated. I explained my qualms about the online check-in but it was pointless. I had to fly with another airline which costs me $367.00 to book. Terrible customer service and no leeway or understanding whatsoever."

I had just moved down here and the whole trip was for me to be able to visit my kids. Never again will i book a flight with this shitty airline"

Pros: "It's pretty difficult to pick out what I liked about the airline, other than the originally "cheap" flight costs – but those increased by $55 by the time I actually took off from the airport."
Cons: "The policies for this airline aren't well known at all, and it's ridiculous they would think I'd be aware that they charge for a carry-on bag, charge to move seats up front the ridiculous back seats they slot you, and there is no wifi! I even had to pay $3 for a small can of Seltzer Water! I will never ever fly this airline again. Also, the seats were incredible uncomfortable and the tray isn't an actual tray you can utilize, so I sat with my computer in my lap (uncomfortably) the entire time. Everything was sticky and smelled bad, from the tray to the seats to the seat belts. Again – never flying Frontier again!"

I had a job interview the next day and grad school starting the day afterward, so I had to spend $500 to book a flight on a different airline in order to get back in time. Worst travel experience ever. I will never fly Frontier again and will encourage all of my contacts to never use them."

Cons: "Three days before christmas on 12-22-16, Frontier cancelled our flight last minute from Phoenix to Cincinnati. I was traveling with two small children. The only option we had to get home was to pay $2200 for 3 one-way Delta tickets. Now I'm in the process of trying to get $1800 dollars back. Frontier initially told me those who bought tickets from another airline could get $600 for every ticket purchased. I have submitted everything requested and now am receiving emails that there is no guarantee I will be reimbursed. Frontier better do what is right and reputable. Customers don't deserve to be treated this way."

Now I know the hub is in Denver so why wouldn't they have a crew on hand? The pilot was there because he would come in and out of the plane area to the waiting area. So they blamed it on the stewardess. When we finally got to go on board we were not moving. Bags not on board, no fuel, weight not right. It was one thing after another. Cons: "My flight was a very early morning flight scheduled to depart at 6:25AM. After parking my car in the long term place, the driver was a bit slow and I arrived at the counter at 5:45AM. There was a line of people for the next flight. So I went straight to the lady at the counter and said my flight would leave shortly. Can you please take care of my check in. Her name is Carol. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She basically brushed me off by saying you are too late for your flight. I said I still have 40 minutes and if you can check me in I can still avail my flight. She didn't even bother to listen to me and asked me to stand on the side and when she would be done with other passengers then she would listen to me. I couldn't wait because my brother was having a surgery the same day in LA for which I was flying and my brother was alone. Unless I arrived on time, they wouldn't even do the surgery and he would then suffer more. So I rushed to the Delta counter and found a flight that would allow me to arrive in LA on time. I had to pay full price to Delta to buy a complete new ticket and thus I availed my journey to LA from Cincinnati. I couldn't use Frontier flight. I used it only when I was returning from LA and didn't use the Delta flight for my return journey. It ended up wasting so much extra money that I wish I didn't have to. After buying ticket from Delta I once again returned to Frontier counter since I had time available now. By this time the Frontier counter was empty. Another lady who was at the counter, she actually witnessed what just happened a few minutes ago with me and she said she was sorry. She said Carol could have easily accommodated me. She gave me a piece of printed information that says "To File a compliment or Complaint". I called that number but that was an invalid number though it redirected me to the correct number. The person who took the call, listened but did nothing. I am totally upset with your handling. And oh yes, during my return I noticed so many fellow passengers were being harassed in a similar way at the LA airport. There is price they were being asked to pay for everything including a particular seat of their choice. How ridiculous. I will never avail Frontier service in the future again unless my issue is paid proper attention to and resolved satisfactorily."

Like: Welcome passengers. estimated time in flight, crusing altitude, estimated arrival time, weather at destination, starting decent, etc. Of course, as an ex-military and corporate aviation pilot, the more I know the more comfortable and connected I feel."

Cons: "5 days before my flight I went on Frontiers website to buy a seat. I had picked 3A because it allowed me more leg room and a reclining seat. I stand 6' tall! I was gladly to pay the extra cost for the extra comfort. I was having trouble with their website so I ended up calling customer service to complete my transaction. The customer service person said he completed my transaction and seat assignment and would send me a confirmation, soon. The night before my flight, my confirmation finally arrived with the wrong seat. My seat had been changed to the bulkhead with no leg room at all. My original set was sold to someone else. I feel this was very unfair and I should receive a refund. I ended up moving into a row that didn't recline but it had and area under the seat in front of me to at least stretch out a little. Those seats were less expensive. I should have received what I paid for and nothing less!!!!!!"

Cons: "But most are surprised that all bags are charged a fee, carry-ons as well. For a flight for two, the additional $70-80 USD PLUS fees for food and huge fees to change balance out the fares. You just can't calculate these costs at the TIME OF DECISION. So then you are left with sub-par service and the same net costs as with a major airline. Also, luggage took over an hour to show p in Denver from Cincy. When trying to take a personal trip this time costs your satisfaction. A pain to fl both directions."

Cons: "The line at the airport to drop off my luggage (which was prepaid) was crazy long as most people had not prepaid and some were trying to pay with cash (which Frontier does not accept). Even tho I had my boarding pass printed and luggage paid for I waited almost an hour in this line - and I arrived 2 hours 1/2 early. After arriving in Cincinnati the luggage took at least 40 minutes to arrive at the pick up point. On my outward bound trip to Orlando the luggage took over an hour to arrive at the luggage carousel. It seems that Frontier does not have a good rapport with the baggage handlers at the airports."

On the return flight we ended up having to wait over an hour to get our baggage at an airport that was significantly smaller that the one we had flown into before."

So we flew back to Denver an hour and 20 mins to sit at the Denver airport for 2 hours before they could get us another flight. She plane is cramped and seats uncomfortable so finally we make it to CVG around noon eastern time when we was supposed to be there at 6am eastern time. I call frontier airlines and all they was to do is give me a $50 dollar credit twards another flight with them and I never want to fly though this airline again. I won't recommend anyone to them. And just an FYI to frontier we don't want you to try and get us to apply for a credit card when we finally arrive at our destination we want off the plane please find a different way to promote your airline/credit cards. I would suggest improving customer service and everything though I say that would help you a lot"

Cons: "At no time when I was pricing out best price flights did Frontier let me know that my bags, my seat and my soft drink would cost extra. Seats were barely padded and mine at least did not recline. It took over 45 minutes for baggage to arrive at the claim area which was maddening since I would have preferred to do what I've done on just about every flight for years - carry on my bag at no cost. Because the cost was just as expensive to carry on and the flight was clearly full (since I did not learn until just days before boarding that I had to purchase a seat), I was concerned about my bag being somewhere else on the plane AFTER I paid to have it with me. Pros: "Pretty much nothing."
Cons: "The fact that you have to pay for a seat - any seat - and carry on, and water, for God's sake. Unreal. Rude flight crew ("take your body parts out of the aisles"), incompetent and rude boarding crew (completely ignoring boarding order, except to make one elderly Asian man leave the line - while clearly letting everyone else board in whatever order they pleased.) Horrible plane - ridiculously uncomfortable seats, no legroom at all. I am 5'10", healthy and middle-aged, and sat with my legs crunched for 4 1/2 hours, leaving me almost unable to walk after the flight. I will never ever fly Frontier again if I can help it. And I will absolutely tell everyone I can not to either. Awful experience."

Pros: "The original ticket price was great, but that's because they charge you for your carry-on, seat, and refreshments."
Cons: "Frontier has found a way to turn something barely tolerable into something laughably inadequate. The seats were narrow, plastic, and uncomfortable. They did not recline, include a tray table (the flight attendant referred to it as a "tray tablet"), or have any form of entertainment on or in the seat back. Common customer courtesies such as beverage services and snacks were not complimentary, leaving many passengers on my 5 hour flight with a dry mouth. The flight attendants, though able to find a way to channel their obvious frustrations into humor, were clearly not enjoying their jobs. Customers were not snapped at, but were oftentimes spoken to in a short manner. I'm assuming they're thinking they could be better compensated with a rival airline, instead of one that charges for soda."

Pros: "Crew members were very sweet and helpful."
Cons: "The seats dont recline and there is minimal knee room, especially if you are taller than 5'. On a longer flight, this can get really uncomfortable. The food selections (which you have to pay for) are not good - either super sweet or super salty. You do have to pay for Carry on, but they should advise you of that when you buy the ticket. Its on their website, but by then its too late if you have purchased tix thu an outside website."

Cons: "We were 5 minutes late to the airport due to heavy traffic on the initial flight, and they already had closed the gate. No one really wanted to help, and when they tried to re-book us for the next day, they flights were full. No real help from the airport crew. Another traveler who was there just when they closed the counter, also got turned away."

Cons: "Flight attendants tried to get passengers to sign up for a credit card. It was a little pushy and not in good taste."
