When I boarded my return fligh, the flight attendant that was supposed to be creating us was scrolling through her phone didn’t even make eye contact. When I was getting off of the plane. That same flight attendant was sitting in a first class seat scrolling through her phone again, she did look up to thank us though. Overall the plane was nice, but the I wasn’t disappointed with the flight attendants service"

Cons: "We arrived at the airport 5 minutes (NO more than that) after the one hour check in time to fly international going to Mexico. We were told we had to wait in line to speak with someone to print a boarding pass. There was an extremely long line with only two employees helping. We then asked if we could get our money back being that if someone has specially helped us with our case only being 5 minutes late to check in, but they declined. We had to book an entirely different flight and still have not gotten our money back. It was very stressful and unprofessional and had someone actually helped us, we would’ve arrived at our destination at the proper time we worked so hard for. I know my boyfriend and I weren’t the only people with his problem because two other families ran into the exact same avoidable problem. It felt very unprofessional. It ruined a familys vacation and caused the poor children to cry because of the lack of accommodation. We would love our money back but not sure you guys will even do so. Very disappointing."
Cons: "I didn't make it because the flight to LAX was late and despite being told by an Avianca employee there was a later flight from LAX to PDX (at 11:45 on AlaskaAir) which I would be put on, once I arrived I was told I was on a 6 AM on Delta with no arrangement to get me a hotel or anything. I bought a separate ticket on that 11:45 flight on Alaska Air to PDX instead. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never again use it. I will also tell everyone in my social circles, in person and online, to stop using it."
Pros: "Flying Alaska airlines is always something I have a bittersweet relationship. I love almost everything that Alaska does to improve their airline. Their wifi is some of the best in the US and its very affordable. Their "picnic box" snacks are awesome and unique, better than what you will find elsewhere, they have USB and full AC outlets at every seat, and their rewards program is the best in the business. By all accounts, AlaskaAir would be my favorite airline out there. But the staff that Alaska hires is just so terrible. Everytime I fly with them, they have simply the worst staff. Pair this with some of the best features of any airline and it leaves me scratching my head on whether or not I want to fly with them or to fly with an airline like Delta which might have fewer frills, but offers much better staff to help you."

Cons: "They changed my seats without telling me, even the day before my itinerary said I was in the first row of First Class by the window with my partner's seat right beside me and they switched it because of some policy that forbids dogs yet couldn't let me know that in July when I booked this and spoke to a representative on the phone to confirm I was even allowed to bring a dog on board. And even then they made me feel like it was not possible and had to stow my dog below in cargo because only one dog could be in the First Class section, and again I was never told that in that moment I couldn't have my dog in the first row. Also, the representative was very clear I had to have a health certificate for my dog to fly and not only did that cost me a large deal of money and time at the veterinarian's office, but no one ever even inquired to see it. I wasted time and money for no reason other than the incompetence exhibited by Alaskan Airlines, and it's surprising to have such consistent subpar service. Especially when you're paying for First Class. Also, your food on flight had several allergens in them. Even your choice of cookie for passengers had two different types of soy. This is a common food allergy. Needless to say, I'll be flying with another airline for my trips to Alaska, as this is not my only one planned."

Cons: "Only one thing: when using the kiosk to get my boarding pass and upgrade, it doesn't specifically state to insert and quickly remove my credit card, so I'm waiting waiting waiting and nothing is happening and I start over and still nothing, so I go wait in line at the desk that solves problems only to learn that small detail and then the clerk said he couldn't take care of it for me and sent me back to the kiosk! What a pain! I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. How hard is it to put clear instructions on the screen? please and thank you!"

Cons: "My flight back my cab driver was late. I got there at 530 first of all the baggage drop lady was rude and looked me up and down before choosing to talk to me. I was told they didn't have bags for my car seat and that I missed my flight. By the time I scheudled a new flight and made it through security to wait for my 9 am instead of 6 am flight the flight I was suppsosed to be on was boarding. Also when I checked my bags after being told I had to call the 1800# instead of use the customer service desk I was told that I had to pay for my pack n play. When it was not charged on the way up."
Pros: "Alaska Airlines continues to do it rite! To my surprise, while checking in my 60 lb bag of surfboards, I was only charged $25, not the already low price of $75 I am usually charged. This new discounted price enabled me to save $100 round trip on board charges. Unlike other airlines that charge $100 Per surfboard, Alaska Airlines has implemented a program that serves the sports enthusiasts. From surfers, golfers, hunters, fisherman, and so on. Our gear goes with us for a fantastic price. Also, the food is actually pretty tasty too & the flight attendants treat you well."

Cons: "Seat, despite being first class, was not comfortable I asked for a blanket before takeoff and was told there aren't any on board. No blankets for an 8 hr red eye??? No pillow either. Flight attendants never asked if I wanted another beverage after initial service. It was an 8 hr flight. The first class meal was a tiny cheese plate. I was starving. For a $900 1 way ticket, I expect more of this airline Flight attendants seemed like they didn't want to be there. Wasn't feeling the love. it was a 12:30am flight. We are all tired, but c'mon. Smile a little."
Cons: "The website wouldn't complete online check in so I arrived early (0415 for a 0600 flight). The kiosks were mobbed and several were not functioning. Only one poor staff member was there to assist literally hundreds of irate passengers. The line for check in at the desk with live assistants was also several hundred people long. I finally got my boarding pass and bag tags at 0517. Then the bag drop off was broken. One poor staff member with an I pad was trying to scan all the checked luggage. I was directed to leave my bags against a wall and hope that they would make my final destination. Obviously people were anticipating not having luggage at their destinations and were opening bags to remove a few items of clothing. I finally got to the tsa check point at 0533 and begged my way to the head of the line (thank god for global entry and tsa precheck! And a thank you to all the people at lax that let me jump the queue) The flight itself was lovely. I slept until landing. Alaska airlines, please hire more staff."

Cons: "Flying with my husband and daughter. All of our seats were split apart even after calling to fix the issue. When I went up to the counter, the lady told me too bad, she couldn't ask someone in an isle seat to switch, but I could do it myself if I wanted. My daughter is 2, can't exactly sit by herself. Food service didn't begin until almost 2 hours into a 3 hour flight but it was in no way due to turbulence. After food service, no trash service came around until about a half hour before landing. Slowest moving crew I have ever seen in my life. Also, the bathrooms were beyond disgusting. I will never fly Alaska again."

Pros: "This was our first time using Alaska Airlines and they were great! Checking in online was easy. Flight attendants and other staff were friendly and seemed to have your best interest in mind. My husband and I had a 20 hour layover in LA coming back from Costa Rica and we asked if we would have to pay another fee to recheck our bag for the second flight. They were very understanding and waived the fee since our overnight stay in LA was technically a layover and we had previously made the whole reservation for both flights at once using their company. Overall we liked our experience with Alaska and would definitely use them again!"

Cons: "They have a 20 minute policy for baggage claim. At the 19 minute mark they sent up about 20 bags and stoped. It took them another 30 minutes to start sending more bags. One of the airline attendants spelt a fruit package on the floor in front of me. The juice from the package got all over my bag below the seat in front of me, getting important military paperwork damaged and she didn't even apologize."

Cons: "The heat was high, we asked the male steward many times to request the heat turned down, people were removing as much clothing as possible. It was very hot and sticky and smelly. The descent to landing was to fast when near the runway, and we crashed hard like a carrier landing. I would inspect the gear and wing spats for cracks. The fuselage bowed like a banana, it was evident looking down the tube sitting the back. How about a breathalyzer or something, everybody knows the drunken pilots, the can't be fired and they know it, so it takes years to sober them up at our expense. The pilots who've been caught drinking are not trying to get better, they just whine that the others who haven't been caught yet are even worse drunks. Everybody who flys on Alaska has heard it from the same old Alaska born drunken pilots. How about less drunken bush piloting and get your drunken pilots who've been busted in the last few years to shut up and stop telling everyone that all Alaska pilots are drunks as defense of there drunkeness."
Cons: "There was a 20 minute flight delay before we boarded. They announced there were mechanical difficulties, which took further time. After we left the gate, we were told that our pilots had timed out and we would need to return to the gate to get a new crew. We taxied for a long time back to the gate, then there were further delays while they added the gas they had used in taxiing. In the end, we arrived more than 2 hours late. It is hard to understand why they didn't anticipate this and replace our pilots before we left the gate. This was the return part of a round trip ticket; there was also a more than 2 hour delay on our earlier flight due to mechanical difficulties."

I made the flight but was given a middle seat. Since I have clostrophobia I began to panic. My brother sacrificed his exit row seat for me. He had booked through Delta. I wondered if he got better treatment because of that"

Out of tissue , paper towels , and tissue one hour into the flight . What in the Hell is going on with this airline ? Won’t fly with them again ."

This was my single major complaint. The food was not great but typical of an American Carrier. The foreign airlines do better on food. The last time I went to Europe I took WOW, the cheapest budget Airline and the leg room was MUCH better. You would think Delta could do better."

I was informed from Tripit that the flight was delayed, not by Delta. Reservation personnel took logical course of action to find new flight for connection that we could make because of delayed initial flight. I would recommend that they first see if there is an earlier initial flight that the customer could make, then look at finding later connecting flights. We found out about delay 8 hours prior, so we had plenty of time to get to the airport earlier. Total delay required me to take additional day off of work."

The plane we were on had more leg room than your average flight. Also the backs of the chair were very tall, leaving even mpre head room perfect for tall people . I fly a lot and sometimes my knees hit the seat in front of me or when they recline it shoves the tray to close to you. Not on this flight there was enough room for me to lay back in the seat had the adjustable headrest that went up and down and also curved in to hold your head from falling on your neighbor next to you. Love the fact they had the USB plug-in in front of you. And the crew constantly kept coming through to empty trash and offer beverages. The plane was clean bathrooms in front and back of the airplane. Over all quiet engine and we were above the wings. Temperature good."
Cons: "The crew member that was checking in people at the gate would talk so fast we could barely understand what he was saying on the overhead announcement. I was traveling with someone who was hearing impaired so we were unaware of that they were getting ready to board. The electronic TV monitor wasn't updating to say boarding to notify people that would be helpful for the hearing impaired. Or--if a crew member is muffled on the announcement or talks too fast you can't understand or know what's going on. The most frustrating thing for me and my daughter we were both expecting to use Delta online entertainment. There are no monitor screens in the seats in front of us on this plane. So we were able to use our phones, but it would not download and once It finally downloaded we couldn't upload any of the movies. Connection speed way too slow. The warning said there were too many people on it at that time. Also I like it when they offer free headphones for people that don't have them. An example that would benefit people that don't want to listen to loud people on the plane or babies that are crying."
Pros: "Over all was okay, but when we all boarded the plane, they last minute said the pilot would be late, and delayed our flight for almost 2 hours. We were almost late to our next flight in Minneapolis to Raleigh which was also pretty upsetting. But, the service was decent, we didn't order any food besides the free complimentary drink & snack and the entertainment was very good. There was a wide range of films, shows, and podcasts to watch."

We atrempted to change our seats online at KLM (not possible), online at Delta (didn't recognize our KLM purchased flight), in person at KLM counter in SVG, in person with THE Delta rep at the check-in gate in AMS...no one could help us due to different systems used for seating for each company that the other one doesn't have access to. Flights booked by one company and operated by another seem common enough that this system needs to be improved. - Silver KLM travelers Also WAY too hot on plane."

The boarding process required me to walk past everyone as my chair was in the back and I was last group to board (unlike other airlines that have switched to back to front boarding to reduce people coming in contact with each other) As I walked down the PACKED plane mot people had masks on incorrectly (hanging off one ear, down around their chin, nose out, etc.) some people had no mask at all and the flight attendants did nothing. It seems like they were doing nothing to keep passengers safe from COVID-19 spread. Compared to Delta, American Airlines was terrifying to fly, I find not feel safe at all."

We were informed as we were boarding and had to scramble to remove the laptop from our carry-on and help up passengers behind us from boarding. A totally unnecessary stressful situation created by the gate agents for failing to share information. Once we got onboard we saw carry-ons larger then what we were forced to check-in. Evidently, enforcement of standards is at the gate agents' discretion."
Pros: "The connecting BA flight from Houston to LHR was an old 747 and my broken window blind didn’t go down. The worst part was I paid for a bulkhead seat and once we got on the plane it turned out the configuration was different and the seat was not bulkhead."

I had to book a hotel nearby LAX just so I could somewhere to sleep for the night. My luggage made it to Chicago safely, but I didn’t at least not with American Airlines. It took them an hour to tell us that they reassigned the pilot to another flight, not only that when it was delayed the first initial time (40 minute delay) about ten minutes before we were supposed to board they tell us that the flight attendant crew is going to take 30 minutes to get to the gate. Not only but those poor airline service staff were completely unaware of all these changes! They had to find out from the passengers what was going on. Honestly I will never fly with American Airlines ever again!!!"
Pros: "I took two connecting flights on American Airlines between Los Angeles and Lisbon period on the website American claims to have charging and or electrical ports in every row. There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid."

The pilot on the first delayed flight (new airplane) was clueless, his exact words "... our analysis team from midwest needs an hour to figure out whether we can fly or not" This is after we have boarded the flight. Then after about an hour of sitting in the plane, he says "rumor has it that a new plane will be towed in..." What? Why didn't they stop boarding and just get the new plane in. And I don't appreciate the emails saying flight is delayed without giving any reason for it. AA could have certainly done a better job of communicating the issue. Further the flight crew including the pilot were acting like victims. If it were an Asian carrier like Singapore Airlines, the crew would be smiling and providing assitance courteously since they represent the airlines. Not flying them again."

For example, the recently released film 'Coco' was listed as PG-13 and not included in the "Disney" category. "Justice League" was listed as R. There are several other examples of misinformation in their movie listings. For parents who use the ratings as one piece of information to guide their children, it would be nice to have correct information when making selections. this problem is not new; it's been this way for over a year now. I hoped that over time they would get it right, but alas, it remains inconsistent at best."

Cons: "I will never fly American Airlines again. From the moment I checked in with the ticket agent to getting off the plane it was a disaster. The ticket agent was rude, hostile, and dismissive. Employees walked through the line at security forcing everyone to consolidate their belongings to one bag. I had a large wallet in my hand and was told I had to step out of line to put it in my backpack. They only allow you one bag to carry on without paying extra. At the time of boarding they announced that the overhead storage was full so even those that paid extra were still forced to check their bags. The plane was dirty, the service was slow, overall just gross. They don’t have WiFi or in flight entertainment so I paid the $20 to purchase the WiFi. It was worthless. I couldn’t stream anything, even music kept stopping to buffer. I understand it will be slower then on ground WiFi, but it was impossible to watch anything and a complete waste of money."
Cons: "American Airlines won't let you buy emergency row exit seats (or bulk head) because the 'code share' prevents them from advance seat sales. I was told I could do it at check in in Los Angeles. But those seats were sold out long before we even got to LA! I contacted American Airlines Customer Relations about 1 month prior to my flight. I completed their online form detailing the problem and asked if there is any way I could buy extra leg room seats. But they never even bothered to respond. I got the automated email acknowledging receipt of my complaint and assuring me I would be contacted soon. NOT!!"

The amount of re direction to get to the final terminal was absurd .. that's just my venting My real problem is that then "crew" or team that represent s the American Airlines / compass part was just useless. When you check in they take your cell phone "in case " well no call no txt no nothing. It was a joke the level of service No apologies or anything just a group of any tired patrons getting the worst customer experience. I'll never EVER book a flight that has anything to do with American Airlines or its partners"
Cons: "AA gate crew checked my bag at the gate, but to the wrong person!! I missed my flight because I had to go find it in baggage claim, take a taxi to another terminal, hoof it across the terminal to TSA pre-check which was 45 people deep and slow as a snail, then run to the gate (which was at the ooooother end I originally entered through). I missed my flight literally by 3 minutes. There was no one at the gate to help me, AA staff kept telling me to go to different places, getting a new flight was INSANE. The whole experience was a pure nightmare."

AA online check-in didn't work, There's always a 45+ minute wait by phone to get AA to answer.. Then the customer service line of Airlines @ LAX had 70+ people needing help, but only one person working. So it was an hour long wait, only to be told 'No' you can't fly. Yet once I walked over to British Airways, they found a way to get me to my destination. Airlines just does not have enough employees and doesn't care."
Pros: "Boarding was quick and easy, no problems or hassles. Seat reclined and was reasonably comfortable. Left early, arrived even earlier."
Cons: "Crew was more robotic than human, which is bexoming a trend on AA. No smiles, no acknowledgment, just doing the job of handing out food and picking up trash. No personal touch whatsoever. Food was subpar for an AA flight, especially international. Entertainment system has many defects and problems, for example "search" is useless. Uninspiring and forgettable film choices as well. The knob to control air flow was broken which made it chilly. To finish as I started, a more engaged and pleasant crew could have made all the other things more palpable and acceptable. They were just too cold, like the temperature in the cabin and distant."

The check in process was a stressful mess: we were forced to stand in long customer service lines both on our first flight from LAX to Chicago and again during our very short layover in Chicago to Dublin to ensure that our bags were checked all the way to our final destination. Very stressful, and it didn't help that the gate crew was extremely rude and unprofessional. It is very inconvenient that we could not choose our seats beforehand."
Pros: "Why would a jet this size wobble all the way across the Atlantic! The pretzels were even stale, and they served a "pizza" that was a stale mini loaf with sauce and a little mozzarella. People were starving when breakfast was served. The thermostat fluctuated from horribly hot to freeing - for 14 hrs. The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."
Cons: "Food, attitude of flight attendants, comfort of cabin. Pilot took charge of thermostat issue and kept us informed in a friendly manner regarding the status of our take off and flight progress."
Cons: "Couldn't check in on line. Flight was delayed. Boarding was hectic and disorganized. Everybody ran for the gate. Crew was prompt and not friendly. Upon arriving they announced that they did not have the Hawai'i agricultural forms, so we would have to wait until the "agent" cam on the plane with the forms, fill out the forms, and then disembark. The crew was not organized, so it took about 10-15 minutes to get off after we arrived in the gate (late) because they could not get people sit down and fill out the forms. Chaotic. I plan NOT to fly American again. Ever."

Pros: "The "very" new 777-200 was very comfortable, well-laid out. I usually skip or leave half of the in-flight food served, but this rates as one of the best meals, I've had in an airplane outside of business class. The in-flight entertainment/information service was decent, but perhaps because the plane was still in new condition."
Cons: "On this entire business trip, I booked with other companies, but ended up 5 flights operated by American Airlines. One cancellation, 4 delayed, 3 late arrivals. The last one was the most annoying. I will be avoiding AA in the future. The domestic crews are generally brusque and miserable. The international flight crews were more accommodating and pleasant, but most of them also seemed annoyed at passenger presence. Also, having to pay for a preferred seat on a half-empty airplane is simply unfair. By 24hrs before the flight, AA must have known there were plenty of empty seats."
Pros: "Boarding was a mess - there were no announcements about boarding and the gate agent did nothing to promote order in the gate area. Thank goodness for the new planes on this route - the old planes with the blue "leather" seats were so overdue to be retired. Onboard entertainment was great and every seat had a USB port and AC outlet. Smoothest landing ever, I couldn't even tell when the wheels hit the pavement! It was also the first time I recall a female captain on American - maybe the smooth landing wasn't such a coincidence :)"

On the flight from Mex City to LAX the bathroom facilities were so limited that some Economy class passengers had to try to use the business class or first class facilities' An FA then came on the intercom and said Economy class must only use their own facilities and this is according to an FAA regulation. THat is a straight out lie. If you eliminate bathrooms from Economy class to squeeze in more seats this problem will persist. American Airlines should be ashamed of itself."

Cons: "It cost me $86 dollars to supposedly upgrade my seat to an exit row with tons of leg room. Granted there was plenty of leg room but the seat was extra narrow to give room for an emergency exit if necessary. I'm not huge but I barely fit in the seat. It was an uncomfortable squeeze which of course got worse as the flight continued. I complained to an attendant that the seat was too small and he had no remedy. If I was a few pounds heavier it would have been impossible. You'd think they would warn a customer of the narrower seat. It's so obvious that it's all about profit for the airlines which sickens me."
Cons: "ORD -> LAX We sat on the Tarmac for 45 mins without any communication. We ended up landing on time, but I was connecting to an international flight, so this naturally caused me and my companion a great deal of unnecessary stress. LAX -> ORD I arrived at the gate prior to the 10 minute before take off deadline and the gate attendant said I couldn't board and walked away. I sat and waited several minutes until a gate attendant returned where they proceeded to call stand by passengers. I was checked in and present, but not allowed to board. So I approached a different attendant, explained and he looked surprised that I wasn't boarded. He then without asking me any questions or checking with me typed on his computer and then handed me a new boarding pass for a new flight 1:25 later. I boarded that plane and sat for over an hour. The pilot had no updates for us other than the delay was a maintenance issue, saying repeatedly that he would check again in 15 mins. Finally after wasting more time we had to deplane and wait for a new one. Ultimately I was not allowed to board my original flight without explanation, which then caused me to have over 3:30 in delays. This is all after I had arrived from an international destination, which made the ordeal very miserable. This type of awful experience is a pattern with American Air - rarely are my flights on time and I've had more cancellations with American than any competitor airline. Anything but A full refund would not be acceptable. Thank you, Randi"
"An airplane that still has screens (which I appreciated!) but every time there was a PA announcement the sound would cut out for a good 10 minutes AFTER the announcement was over. Eventually I stopped trying to watch a movie because I was missing so much. Also, I really wish they wouldn't rush to get everyone on a plane when the crew is delayed and doesn't get onboard until 5 minutes before they're scheduled to leave. You know that then we're going to sit there for 30 minutes waiting for them to get ready and find us a new takeoff slot, so why didn't you just delay the boarding too? United's Basic Economy is also a scam, but at least I got a window seat. And we all know there are worse options (Spirit)."

Not only was the flight delayed for over 2 hours. We were not informed that we could not bring a carry on even when we were at the main entrance with an agent for over 30 mins when you entered the airport. All their staff needs new training everyone kept on giving us a different answer. We asked because of this delayed will our room be comp due to the fact we will be missing our connected flight. On the phone the agent said yes. When we got to the airport that agent said no. When we got on the plane that agent said no. When we landed in Denver that agent comp our room. We ended up booking a room making sure we had a place to stay at night. It created more work for us because we were trying to cancel our room took even more time. Definitely wanted to give United the benefit of the doubt that they were at least at the level of American Airlines. The last time we flew United it was delayed for 8 hours they ended up canceling the flight. When we called they said it was the weather and we told that agent it's mechanical issue because we are watching someone remove the engine. We will stick to American Airlines. Free entertainment."

Crew member let us know that united was aware of our delay ed take of 4:05 rather than 1:00pm several hours before yet, We were only informed through notifications in increments of 30 minutes. be transparent with your customers, the delay would have been much less frustrating had we known. Instead notifications every 30mins were teasing us that we're about to leave but it's clear united had not intention of taking off. Also crew member on board serving beverages "I need your money" is an extremely unprofessional and inappropriate way to ask for a card."

I ended up getting a new flight and was never informed that my return flight was cancelled there for when I got to the airport to return home I had to buy another $600 ticket. After buying a new ticket when I missed my first flight (my fault, I know) but I really think I should be compensated for this inconvenience and the lack of notifying me whatsoever."
Cons: "We were in first class first row, the crew kept talking and laughing during the entire flight (this is a 5 hours flight and we landed at 5am). Loud and banging the trolleys (why, everyone is trying to sleep!). We asked them to not speak as loud, but to no avail.... asking for a glass a water was a no no, you could clearly see they were not there to help you... The entertainment system was a vintage tiny TV which did not work well anyway (loss of image...). The seat was half broken. Not sure where the first class experience was. United please do something... Start first with your employees. Send them to Southwest for training..."

Seems as though the seats have also been redone and made thinner - assuming to fit more rows in which results in more uncomfortable seats and far less room. Other than the entertainment on the flight - this was very reminiscent of a Frontier or Spirit airplane ride."

Canadair aircraft was much nicer and quieter that was used from SFO to Santa Ana."

Pros: "United delivered us to Anchorage so late that we missed the very last flight out of Anchorage to Homer. We had to pay for a hotel room and full price tickets to fly the very next morning. Because United delivered us to Anchorage so late, we had to spend so much money on the hotel and next day flights. Until this point I have always been happy with United but I don't think we can go with United anymore after this."

They kept passengers on the plane for 3 hours and 45 minutes, which is prohibited by federa law. They failed to provide additional snacks when the passengers were on the plane for over 7.5 hours, and made it seem like it was such a nuisance when we asked for water. They were able to pass out one cookie by hour 6 but the flight attendant made it VERY clear that they had to do "so much paperwork" to get it approved. The flight attendants were rude, inconsiderate, and when asked what the game plan was after our 4 hour delay, their response was, ""not sure, not my department." If they didn't have answers, that's fine, but the manner and careless tone in which they replied was inconsiderate and insincere. When we finally landed at our half way destination in Houston, the flight attendant made a comment about how she can't get home due to all of the delays without considering that half of the passengers had the same dilemma and paid hundreds of dollars for their flights! The flight attendant had no empathy or respect and I would NEVER take this airline again. We spent the night at the airport and are still trying to find a flight to our destinatiom in New York :("

"The flight, crew and cleanliness was good, my main complaint is that they tried to charge for ANY and EVERY BAG bag, whether checked or carry on. So you think you are getting a good deal for flight tickets, but that cost does NOT include ANY bags. The very nice gentleman who checked us in ended up only charging us for 2 of our 6 bags. We had 1 checked bag and 5 carry on (1 for each of us traveling). So he charged for our 1 big checked bag and 1 carry on and then waived the fees for all our other carry on bags. This helped tremendously and was very much appreciated. Although, since we now know Frontier does charge for all bag types, we will probably avoid using them again."

Pros: "This was our first time using Frontier and we were skeptical because of the low fares. At each step along the way we were glancing at each other and waiting for the other shoe to drop, but were very pleasantly surprised by the end of the trip to have found nothing wrong or hidden. As a person who has flown regularly for over 40 years on both budget and full service carriers, and had always enjoyed it up until the late 90’s, at which time I really began to dread going through the entire process; this was a really pleasant surprise. On our way home in the car after our return, both my wife and I agreed that this was the first time in years that we didn’t have any complains about the experience and that we actually had mildly enjoyed it. Maybe that was just a lack of pain. At least on this first time using Frontier we got more than we expected. I think if you take the time to understand the business model the first time you book and you follow the booking process; the seat and baggage selection choices and the check-in procedures, you will get a good bang for your buck. We did upgrade some selections but even with that, we were still way under the next carriers fare price point. Maybe if we had not taken the opportunity to upgrade during the online booking process it might have been a different experience. This flight was two round trip tickets from Cincinnati to San Diego. The first part was a non-stop and the return was a one-stop in Denver. All three legs were on an Airbus 320’s. On all three legs we had isle seats in the first 6 rows (2C/ 2D, 3C/ 3D and 6C/ 6D). We don’t care about, nor expect frills; we only want to get there and back comfortably with good value fares; and that’s what we got."
Cons: "They take nickel and diming you to the extreme. Buyer beware, absolutely everything is an add on, from carry on luggage, to picking a seat, to soda served on the plane. By the time you add it all up it's more expensive that the other airlines. And what's terrible is that they aren't upfront about all the extra fees and so for someone who hasn't flown them before it's an up charge every step of the way. If you are going to nickel and dime customers at least make that clear at the beginning."
Cons: "Due to understaffed check in counter, didn't quite make the 45 minute cut-off to check my luggage. Girl at the counter was super rude. Said I had to fly with my bags and proceeded to book me and my son on the next flight out... 8 hours later. Long story short, my bags were on the original flight but we were not. Great way to spend Mother's Day."
Cons: "Seats did not recline. I had to pay extra to make sure I sat with my children which is absolutely rediculous. Did I mention the seats did not recline. Also On literall all four flights we sat near the back since they offered one seat that was 0$ the others were $9 each flight. On all the flights the staff joked loudly talking about their weekend or what they were going to do. I understand being social but keep it down. We are traveling and exhausted. They kept waking my children up with laughter. On top of this. They misplaced our baggage for 24 hours. Ok yeah not such a big deal except when you were going to drive two hours away and going to need bathing suits and things in your bag. They ended up refunding the $50 luggage charge but did not refund anything I had to purchase ....."

Cons: "- When I arrived at the check in counter at least an hour before my flight, there was one employee working the check in counter talking to a family ahead of me who were clearly agitated. As their very loud and public confrontation continued, I learned that the employee was trying to get them to pay for their clearly over-sized "personal items" and they vehemently disagreed. The employee did nothing to diffuse the situation and just engaged in arguing with them back and forth. They argued for almost 30 minutes while I stood waiting, worrying that I was going to miss my flight through no fault of my own. - When the angry family finally left, the employee called someone on a cell phone and a few minutes later a second employee arrived. The first employee began furiously typing and working on his computer and ignored the now long line of customers in front of him. The second employee began helping the rest of us but was also much less than enthusiastic. He asked me to put my small, overhead bin sized bag on the scale and I did so. He then told me there would be a $40 charge for the bag which I was surprised by because I thought the charge for a carry-on bag was $25. He told me that "the prices went up a few days ago." I was already so delayed that I told him to just charge the $40 so I could make my flight. He processed and then he took my bag. When I asked why he was taking it, he said, "Oh, you checked it," which I had absolutely not agreed to do. Seeing the line behind me and the very few minutes I had left to actually board my plane, I just let him take and check my bag. - At no point was I offered an apology for the altercation that nearly ruined my travel plans. (I have many many years of customer service experience and it is my firm belief that while that family WAS in the wrong and very difficult, the employee could have handled that altercation MUCH better.) - At no point was I able to choose or change my automatically assigned seat, so I ended up very uncomfortable in an aisle seat next to a baby in lap. I chose a red-eye flight so I could sleep overnight and I ended up getting NO rest because I was so bothered"

Cons: "I am a frequent flyer -not without frontier but with other airlines-and this aircraft has by far the worst seat. It does not recline At all and its hard. My whole body was aching after the 4.5 hour flight. The flight attendants had no proper attire I could not even recognize who was a crew member and who wasn't unless I looked really hard at their badge hanging around their neck. They did not treat us professionally as well, complete lack of respect . This does not cost money to the company to improve."

Pros: "I am disabled so i get wheelchair service, door to plane. The people who wheel me around are polite and the young lady who got me to baggage and to the pickup at the door was so kind. I am 200lbs and she was a petite lil thing. She stayed with me till hubby pulled up to make sure i was safe in my car. The flight attendants are always courteous and help put my cane above in compartment. I cant reach over my head, nerve damage...have flown frontier 2-3times a year for 5 plus years and have had only one incident..."

Cons: "We booked our flight to san diego with a short layover in denver. 2 days later they canceled our original flight and put us on a slightly later flight, which would make us miss our connecting flight in denver, so then they gave us a 7 hour layover in denver, we had planned on having dinner in San diego, but ended up getting to our hotel at 3 AM. They would not let us cancel our reservation and they promised us a $50 voucher, that never came. very subpar, and with the state of air travel these days that's saying a lot."
Cons: "Flight delayed 2 hours for mechanical issues, flight delayed 39 minutes on the runway after landing. Flight staff treated customers extremely poorly and we're very rude in general dealings with customers."
Pros: "The desk agents at San Diego airport were helpful, poor people. I can only imagine the headaches they get from trying to fix Frontier's issues satisfactorily. That is about the only positive thing. Frontier's help phone line was ridiculous and when I finally got a person they were non sympathetic to my issues and completely not helpful."
Cons: "Fair warning: never fly Frontier. My flight from San Diego to Denver and then on to Atlanta was bumped the first day because the plane "broke", which would cause me to miss my connector. The airline put me in a hotel, which was fine (even though I had to pay a $200 security deposit that actually accidentally ended up being $400 and I didn't get back for 4 days). That next morning, I got a text saying my 6:15am flight was delayed by more than an hour, so I called Frontier and asked about my connector times. They told me I would have 10 minutes to disembark the plane and make it to the next gate and, if I did not, I would be stuck in the Denver airport for 12 hours. I asked if that was the case would they put me in a hotel.....they said no. I asked if I changed my flight to the next day would they put me in a hotel....they said no because it was my choice to change the flight (as if that is a choice). Thankfully, I know people in San Diego, so I stayed with them that night. Next morning I take an Uber at 4:30am (at the cost of $30+ dollars) to the airport only to find out that the flight was severely delayed again (no text notice this time from the airline). When I say severely, I mean my 6:15am flight was rescheduled to leave at 10:45am. That would, once again, put me missing my connector. I waited in the line with the 50 other passengers to talk to the desk agent for quite a long time. At first, the agent told me that I would have to wait until the next morning again. I then told him my plight and the events I had already been through. He found a route that would take me at 11:35am from San Diego to Denver then have a 2 hour layover, then fly to San Antonio, then finally get to Atlanta at 12:20am. So, that is me arriving at the airport at 5:00am Sunday morning and getting into Atlanta at 12:20am Monday morning.....over 16 hours with the time change. So, I had to take it. Frontiers way of making up for all of this nonsense? They gave me a $100 voucher to use towards future flights. Basically a worthless piece of paper I will never use."

The Frontier person had absolutely no intention in helping and could really care less. Ended up going to the South West counter and the people were great. Frontier should take a lesson form Frontier about customer service. When I book my next flight I will have to be very desperate to use Frontier because of the way I was treated."

Frontier's excuse was that they usually have 8 people to unload the plane, that day they only had one. Frontier is too cheap to hire people and expects customers to tolerate their operational inefficiency. No one at Frontier showed any form of customer service skills and refused to grant any concessions to delayed, angry customers. In fact, the luggage supervisor called security because she angered the customers so much. To sum up, f*** Frontier and I cannot wait for their inevitable chapter 11 filing."

The armrests were also super uncomfortable, but when you try to move them back, they still straight up so you can't be comfortable. The crew wasn't very personable like more famous airlines. Everyone seemed pretty unhappy to be there and talked minimally. You have to pay for your bags, food, and drink. No entertainment available to judge."
