Cons: "Luthsansa sent the reminder 30 prior the flight that was a delay on the flight operated by United. I called customer service they do don’t helped and hanged up twice. Finally after waiting for an hour on the airport the same flight was change 4 times more. A manager in United got us in a different flight but we arrived 40 minutes later to Madrid and missed our connection to our other flight. I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"

Cons: "The flight was delayed due to weather, which is fine, the delay was 45 minutes, not a big deal....Here's the but...when it came to boarding time, they announced that it was not going to be boarding by zones and that everyone should just get on the plane. On top of what appeared to be a mass exodus, or perhaps something you'd see in a third world country, those people who paid more $$ to have carry on bags, in zone 1 and be able to board first were most certainly not feeling the value. The gate experience was not well organized or orchestrated. After getting off the plane, our daughter realized once in baggage claim that she left her backpack on the plane. Not being experienced in this area, we asked for help. A police officer told my wife to go to Frontier office, where there was no one in the office, someone else said have them paged. There was no white courtesy phone in the area that was operating, so she went to Southwest and asked if they could page someone to come to the Frontier office and they said no, walked to next terminal to find a working courtesy phone, paged someone to Frontier and within 5 minutes ,10 people showed up. Asked if someone could help. They radioed to the gate that a passenger left their bag. What the rep should have said was that they called the gate, hopefully someone locates and if they do, they will bring it here and we will check on it in a few minutes. The person didn't say a word, 5 minutes later my wife asked what happens now. After a nice sigh and eye roll, the Frontier rep says if they found, they bring it. My wife asked would it be possible to see if they found it instead of just waiting around here for bodies to appear. The bag was eventually found and returned but the experience was just now a good one to say the least."

Mine was a little bigger but because i had my chemo medication in it they did not charge me. When i was returning from Charlotte they charged us for both bags. I told her they didn't in phili and she said every airline does it. So maybe something should be written in ur policy. What is the sence of taking a carry on when you are going to pay $90.00 round trip. Makes no sence to me. I hope u do reply back. Other than that everything was good."

Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."

Cons: "After being delayed on the first leg of my trip, we arrived in Denver being told to go to a particular gate. Once there we were told it was moved to another gate. This happened a total of 4 times! Again the flight was delayed. The pilot/co pilot made a negative comment on the PA about the airline after apologizing for the confusion. I was not given the opportunity to choose my seat. When I checked in, I asked to change from the middle seat I was assigned to, to a aisle seat to accommodate my long legs and severe knee arthritis. The attendant at the desk looked at my boarding pass and exclaimed "well, your flying ECONOMY so I guess you'll just have to deal with it". Drinks that are complimentary on Alaska (soft drinks, juice , water etc.) were charged for. The attendants completely skipped my row and we were not offered anything. The attendant did provide me a diet cola at no cost when I brought it to her attention. All in all a miserable trip home, in such contrast to our flight there on Alaska Airlines at the same cost."

Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"

The flight was not cancelled, even when the plane was towed to the hangar. Finally, after six hours, Frontier offered a refund--as they had no interest in placing us on another airline that was going to the same destination. I rented a car and drove from Charlotte to Philadelphia to retrieve my own car from the airport so I could arrive home 15 hours after my scheduled arrival. Frontier couldn't care less. NEVER again."

The worst part was after I saw how much they charged me for a checked bag and a carry on, it came out to be as much as the American Airline flight that I hadn't booked in order to save money."

I didn't really feel like tipping a Flight Attendant for handing me a soda and two mini bottles, but they're staring right at you, so you kind of feel obliged. :-( Seats have less padding, but okay for a short flight."

It's a good thing I went online 24 hours before my flight or I would have been very upset to get to the gate and have had to pay $60 for my bag. There seems to be an up charge for everything after the ticket is paid for, including food and drink. The seats in the airplane felt like glorified plastic lawn chairs."

After waiting for 1.5 hours on the tarmac, we were 1.5 hours late to our destination. The seat were very small and not very comfortable and did not recline. We were told when checking-in online that we would have to pay $16 - $50 to guarantee that we would sit next to each other (only 2 people). Also there was a steep charge for checking and even carry-on luggage! The airline also lost one of our bags on the return trip. Pretty terrible experience overall."

I cannot believe that the airline is charging $40 bags for a carry on!!!!!! Also I had to pay an additional $27 each so my husband and I could sit together. Shame on you frontier. Of given the choice I will NEVER fly with this airline again. Everyone I tell about my experience has their own negative story to tell about Frontier. I suggest you change your practice before you go out of business. My final cost was double the original price of my original ticket. Just price the ticket as it should be."
Cons: "My flight was delayed by more than 3 hours. The representative at check-in told me that the flight was coming from LaGuardia airport and was delayed due to bad weather (which I can still believe to be true despite any evidence of severe weather when I checked online). No one (from the check-in desk to the boarding gate) had any information about the delay and we were sitting clueless at the gate as the departure time kept changing frequently. No frontier crew was present at the gate to answer our queries or to provide reasonable respite in terms of water or meal vouchers at a very cold airport (heating wasnt working for some reason). This was aggravated by the fact that there are no complimentary drinks/meals on the flight. I would also like to point out a cheap trick that the airline tries to fool passengers with. They try to charge you for your seat when you check-in online. You have to skip seat selection to avail a seat at no extra cost. This on top of carry on baggage fees. It doesnt sound like a budget airline to me. A cheap one, for sure."

Cons: "You are not adequately made aware that you will be charged for carry on unlike other airlines. And in doing so, the price of the ticket goes from being impressively cheap to being more than a flight from another airline that has more included amenities, like actual refreshements and free carry-ons. You also get charged for just selecting a seat, not a special seat, but ANY SEAT AT ALL. So the price you initially see when searching for flights is quite misleading. In reality, you should ad at least 50 bucks to any frontier ticket to get a truer picture of what the price would be for a normal passenger with a single carry-on that wants a particular seat."

Cons: "I realize I should have researched prior, but I was extremely disappointed and shocked when I realized that I had to buy my ticket, THEN buy my seat, THEN also pay for a carry-on bag! My carry-on cost more than had I checked a bag. With any other airline, the carry-on is always the best way to go... but not with Frontier. Then, we did not even take off for over an hour due to 'wrong paperwork.' The plane seats were paper thin uncomfortable, the tray that folds down wasn't even large enough to hold my laptop. Finally, I've never been on a flight that doesn't offer a complimentary beverage. I found it very rude that after the charges left and right that you aren't willing to give passengers a water. I will never fly Frontier again and I've told all my friends and family to do the same."

I flew from Philadelphia & had left my car at Philadelphia airport! Since I had no choice, as I could not miss work, I had to take that flight. Needless to say -arriving at midnight on a different airport & then go back to the airport I flew from , to pick my car, is another story !!"

Cons: "Spirit is a terrible airline and got charged +$80 to check my bags (after already paying for bags) because they were over 40lbs. Usually weight limit is 50lbs. so didn’t save much money using kayak overall. Will never fly spirit again."

When we started our descent with about 45 minutes left they again turned the lights up to blaring. The best part of the flight was when it was over. Never again. Only Southwest from now on.. Crooks"

It was as though they covered the seat with material over a wood box, the seats have no recline and no leg room! 5 hour flight across country and it was so uncomfortable it was a joke. I had not printed my boarding pass on my return, when I checked in they told me it would be a $10.00 fee for them to print it for me, you must be kidding! I asked for water on board the flight and they told me they have no drinking water in flight unless you pay for it! Im not usually a complainer but this was the worst carrier EVER! The planes are full ( with first time Spirit passengers) you are packed in like sardines and I can tell you most passengers were saying " you would only book with Spirit once! Never again""

(too much). Cons: "It was very difficult to pay a full fare of $340.00 and then to pay for my small carry on. Even to have water in flight you have to pay. Yes, I understand that for a cheap ticket it would be expected but my ticket was not that cheap. The rude man that checked my baggage at the door in Detroit, after MCO allowed us to take our carry-on, spoke to me very condescending. Stating that "we in Detroit take baggage seriously" and even further taunt us that he would happily wave a booking fee and put us on a flight the next day when we get the baggage money. He spoke loudly in front of other passengers. It was an awful experience for my first time traveling with spirit. I traveled a lot and was never treated so rudely or without compassion as it was 4 people traveling together including a small child."

Also when looking for a phone umber on the web site and you hit contact us it sends you to the help and doesn't not show a phone number to talk to a person. The flight was good. I don't think that you should have to pay extra to make sure you are next to your family when traveling"

Cons: "Fare cheap but all the 'musts'made it more than any other airline: $9 Online fee; $25 kiosk fee (which didn't work and had to pay $50 fee to check in with clerk; had to check bag approved for under seat/carry on (12"c12") and since kiosk didn't work, charged $60 for 1st bag, even though I paid $60 for a 'first checked bag' and 2nd bag should hAve been cheaper. It was TSA agent who told me I would be required to check the bag by Spirit as it didn't meet carry on criteria and if I didn't check now, would be $100 at gate. I told her that I was traveling back with same TSA approved (and Spirit online rules) and she became rude and rejected my bag (and did a complete body search) so, I was forced to check the bag or miss my flight. I asked her and the Spirit clerk (3) if this was a TSA/ Spirit racket with kickbacks for TSA and/or Spirit and NOT on of them laughed, smiled, or denied this question. Mever again will I fly Spirit airlines or recommend to anyone!"

Cons: "This flight was over 4 hours, and they didn't even offer a cup of water, much less other beverage options and food. I didn't expect the caliber of entertainment you'd find on a larger airline like United or Southwest, but this flight didn't even offer wi-fi. I'm rating the crew mediocre mostly because of the lack of food/beverage, which I'm not entirely sure whether or not they have control over. Also, I heard more than one guest ask a flight attendant how much time we had left, and her response was typically pretty condescending about how we've "only been in the air for x amount of time." Truly, I'll never fly Spirit again. They try to make it look less expensive than other flights until you're smacked with a $40 fee for a standard carry-on, which brings it right up to the price of everything else. I can only hope they improve with their growth as a company."

You pay for your seat and you pay for your luggage. $46 to carry on and $42 to check luggage. Seats are anywhere from $10-$50. I don't feel I saved money by flying spirit."

Since flight was late, we had to seat in airplane for 2 additional hours , In Spain pilot in similar situation offered free Champlain, Spirit did not offer even water."

I was seated next to someone that was probably close to 400 pounds. He spent most of the time in my seat. Now I am sympathetic to obese people but Spirit should have placed him in one of the two seater rows or something like that. It was an absolute miserable experience."

Cons: "My flight to LA was delayed by a systems crash, we spent 2-1/2 hours at the gate before departing. My return flight wagon time and I was looking forward to a relatively comfortable flight home, as i'd paid extra for an exit row seat on the aisle. instead, the person who sat next to me man-spreaded into my personal/seat space, shoving his shoulders into my ribs and making the 7 hour cross-country flight, exceedingly uncomfortable. When i voiced my complaints to him, he replied in an entitled and indignant fashion and redoubled his effort to invade my personal space. What's worse, is that this man was wearing a Spirit Airlines uniform and presumably, did not pay for his seat. I will never fly Spirit again."
