Pros: "The flights seemed to go fast once we were in the air and it was nice the pilot was trying to get us there earlier because we had taken off late."
Cons: "I upgraded to 1st class for both flights but the plane seating was very dismal and hadn't been upgraded in either of these planes for a long time. After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule."

Boarding pass didn't have my TSA FTN so had to go back. Could not check luggage curbside. Got seat in last row when I noticed boarding pass had no seat assignment. They lost my luggage at SFO. We were delayed to board, then once we were boarded, we sat on a cold airplane for over 30 minutes in sub-zero temperatures in Chicago. Maintenance was called to start the engines externally but the starter machine wouldn't work. Finally, we were made to de-plane. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting on information. Never received meal vouchers. No snacks or water was given during the wait. The steward was very nice and helpful but the gate agent was horrible. She seemed "inconvenienced" when you went to ask her questions."

The screens and tiny pockets were only accessible over another passenger. The seat stuck out into the aisle so I was bumped by 200 other passengers at least once - not to mention the flight crew. Finally I had my emotional support dog with me and the crew told me I should. It be in that seat - the seat was assigned by the United Accessibikity Desk as a good one for a service animal - and I had zero choice in the matter. Baggage claim at SFO took over 45 minutes to start -I was home in San Francisco in only 20 minutes after getting my bag."

Upon boarding there was plenty of room in the bins. The waiting at the end of each flight made the gateway crowded and replanting inefficient. Either have all bags checked upon check in with stricter guidelines or put overhead items into a lottery system."

Luckily we were able to get onto a different airline who helped us out. United dropped the ball big time."

The pilots landing there and back were like we landed on clouds - not a single bump or jolt. The flights left on time and arrived early. The staff at gate and plane were so helpful and happy and knew how to do their jobs and not opposed to doing it with a smile. I have flown over the world and these two flights on united were the best."
