We booked exit rows seats and were moved by Delta to non-exit row seats we paid for. No mention of a refund or credit. Very disappointed.

We left the gat late, then pilot said we would still be arriving half an hour early. We arrived about 45 minutes late, and that was a problem because our connecting flight was due to depart now in 15 minutes. Lightning forced the airport to shutdown, which was great, we had a chance to catch our flight, but we were stuck in the airplane, and we couldn't get to our gate until the all-clear. I know this is not Delta's fault, but they did arrive quite late on a flight that, according to them, would be early. They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp. Lightning hit again, and they shutdown the airport once again, so the airplane was still at the gate for about an hour, and they did not allow the 20+ passengers to board that plane, which was right there. So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal."

Also, there was no distancing IN the airport during boarding. It's NOT DIFFICULT to put tape marks on the ground to ensure physical distancing. It is THEIR responsibility to make sure the process is safe, since half of the people seem to not care about distancing (or mask wearing). I'm incredibly disappointed and I will be flying Southwest for the time being: I hear they're better at enforcing distancing."

After the passengers got off the plane, the man at the counter came on the P.A and said it’ll be a few minutes, they’re catering the plane now from the back to the front. The flight crew still needed to get on a preform safety checks. He apologized again. Then it was 8:40, time to take off and we’re still waiting to even board. The man at the counter said again, thank you for your patience and relayed the same message, only this time the flight attendants were walking away from the gate. Around 9 some lady higher up told the man to announce that the flight crew had timed out and stand by crew was on the way to the gate, said sorry again. A little later the man says sorry, there’s a gate change. You’re going to K6 now. When we get to the new gate it’s almost 9:30pm and while we were all gathered at the gate, the flight crew that supposedly “timed out” showed up and proceeded to get on the plane. Passengers started getting mad and saying we were lied to and to just tell us the truth. Chicago PD started showing up. We finally got on the plane but it would be another 30 minutes before we moved because of issues getting our bags off the original plane. We ended up being almost 2 hours delayed."

Cons: "I was apparently "flagged" by British Airways for extra security checks. As I understood it in London, I was randomly selected for this security check. This then apparently meant that I was to be flagged for all subsequent flights. This meant that in Chicago, after going through two other security checks that day (Zurich and London) and completing customs, I had to engage in a full Homeland security check. This involved removing protective covers from my laptop and phone that were hard to get off (not meant to be taken off regularly) and a full body search that I did not have to do in London. After many hours of traveling, this was very a frustrating experience."

Cons: "On my first flight from SLC to ORD I asked 3 different American Airlines employees if I needed to pay for my carryon before I got on the plane. They all said no. I got on the plane, put my carryon under the seat in front of me and everything was great. I landed in Chicago, got to my gate, went to board and this very rude employee stopped me after I scanned my ticket and told me I couldn’t board with my bag. The EXACT bag I had boarded with in SLC. After harshly grabbing my bag and putting it in the carryon basket to check for size, she wouldn’t let me pass by her into the boarding bridge and told me I was going to have to pay. I tried explaining that I had asked I’m SLC if I needed to check it and they had all said no and that it fit under my seat. She said, “I don’t care what they said in SL, this is what I’m saying here.” And directed me to the front desk where I had to pay $50!! $50 for a carryon backpack that fit under my seat comfortably 20 minutes before!! Without saying a word (cause I didn’t want to yell at the poor girl behind the desk) I paid the $50 and proceeded to enter the bridge but before I passed through, the rude woman said, “have a nice flight ma’am” and scoffed!! An audible scoff. So I’m short, I hate American Airlines and I will do my BEST to not have to fly with them in the future."

The staff members were not smart in appearance, some with long untidy hair, and did not interact with passengers except to hand out food. The food was reasonable. We disembarked feeling like wrecks. Cons: "The seats we had were exit seats right next to the bathroom and it was a night time flight. So 8 hours overnight of constant commotion and people walking by. The flight attendants were blatantly rude and would sit right in front of us and openly talk badly about the passengers. One of the flight attendants walked by and literally just grabbed my drink out of my hand and took it. There was only one flight attendant who was actually pleasant and polite to everyone and her name was Kate. The other flight attendants were just rude and abrasive to everyone and basically would mock people who did not speak English as their primary language. We were both treated okay but I was truly appalled with the way they spoke to some of the other passengers."

Cons: "The one carry-on policy was silly and included personal items. I was told to repack my purse into my backpack which was already full. The boarding staff stood over me and told me to throw stuff away in my backpack and asked why I had packed certain things. I am in the process of moving back to the US from Korea after two years so everything I had was everything I owned in the world - which included some sentimental things like a stuffed animal from my mother who passed away when I was three years old. The most infuriating part of this however was realizing that there was one other bag in my overhead bin. In fact most of the overhead bins had one to two bags and plenty of room. My repacking and humiliation was unnecessary and it was only for the morbid satisfaction of the lady at boarding demanding it. At one point I heard her talking with her coworkers about “why couldn’t they freaking listen. We announced it three times.” Well I had approached the counter prior to arrival and they told me to get back in line when I tried to ask about my purse and backpack. In additional to the frustration of all of that, I received my checked in luggage with a wheel missing. I had just bought it and now I have to ship a wheel from the vendor in South Korea or buy new luggage. Thank you guys so much for letting me know which airline to never fly with again."

When the gate agent arrived, we asked and were moved to seats next to each other right away. The ticket agent at initial check in was very abrasive and non-solution oriented. if what she was saying was true— that we only paid for tickets and had to pay extra for boarding passes together— that was never made clear during the booking process. It’s unlikely I’ll use kayak again unless I know for sure what I’m buying."
Cons: "I chose a package on the cheap flights that has a left hand side for choosing number of baggage which invariably inreases fare depending on the number of baggage and i choose 2 and paid for 2 baggage but the ticket came with 1 baggage and i contacted both by phone call, email and your website but did not get any fsvourable response. Had to pay again at the airport for the extra bag. This is highly unfair."

Cons: "The first plane was broken and the pilot kept coming to brief the passwngers that it was broken but it may be fixed and so on, it would have been better if he had just let the counter clerk say the plane is delayed due to maintenance. As a customer, i dont need all the rambling explanation every ten minutes about the issue. I was told that we could board another flight leaving in 30 minutes, so i went to that gate, crew was not there and we boarded the plane. We had to de- board and wait for the crew. After the crew showed up, the rest of the flight was pretty standard."

Cons: "Mixed feelings about the entertainment app, I was pleased that something was available at all, however had the person sitting next to me not mentioned I needed an app to watch the in flight entertainment moments before it would have been too late to use the internet to download it, I would not have been able to use it, unless paying for a limited time package from AA to use the internet to download the app. A better job of advertising of the gogo app is needed more than the booklet in the seat pocket. Also I was only able to watch one movie, after that the system kicked me out saying high usage was making it not work for me. The gate changed a couple of times which had me trawling up and down the H and K concourses, could have done without that after the 9 hour journey I had already taken."

Cons: "The aircraft was downgraded, so there were 12 "overbooked" seats. The flight was delayed several times, with each new delay only being acknowledged after the previous departure time had already passed. Eventually, the flight was "delayed" to 3:15, but then it was bumped BACK to 2:45, so one woman ended up missing the flight because she had gone to the lounge based on the 3:15 departure. I accepted a voucher, but as the original flight kept getting delayed and I couldn't receive the voucher until the doors closed, I almost missed the flight I was rebooked on. If airlines would just communicate better (e.g., tell us there's a delay *before the departure time has passed*), people would be much more willing to deal with the hassle."

Cons: "The airline "randomly" selected me for extra security. Even though I have TSA pre-check I was jostled around, sent to multiple security lines without any reasoning and the local Chicago TSA and airport staff didn't seem to know what to do. Once it was figured out I was subjected to what was essentially a cavity search. Again I HAVE TSA-pre-check but apparently that means nothing if an airline flags you. It was an extremely upsetting experience but you were in a situation of either agree to the invasive search or get stranded over 1000 miles from home. I will NEVER fly Iberia again after a cancelled flight and being stranded in the wrong country on the way to my vacation and the horrible security experience on the way back. I seriously may never go to Chicago either after seeing the complete lack of organization and traumatizing personal invasion. I fly a lot for work and have never had such a horrible experience. I would really like to know how many terrorists are caught with these invasive searches and would love to know the justification for sticking your hands inside someone's pants and grabbing their privates after they have already gone through a metal detector AND the body scanner. Especially for someone who has already passed a federal background check to obtain pre-check status. Absolutely ridiculous."

Cons: "The seats were incredibly uncomfortable. There was no leg room and 122 of the space below the seat in front of me was taken up by a metal box attached to the seat. I couldn't put both feet under the seat in front of me. The food was bad tasting and overly processed. We were fed a lean cuisine. The entertainment was from mounted tv's in the aisle. At this point, all planes crossing the ocean should have individual tvs for a customer to watch. They had this 15 years ago, how do they not have it now."

Cons: "I booked with British Airways and later noticed the plane was operated for American Airlines. The seats were cramped and the online entertainment was terrible. On an overseas flight, I expect in 2017 that there will be on-screen entertainment on the back of the seat in front of me. Instead, the movie was projected on a screen in the middle seats on an overhead that was about 10 rows away. Plus, you didn't get to pick your movie. You were stuck with the selections provided by the airline. I would have brought along my DVD player or laptop had I know this was going to happen. American flight crews are not as friendly and accommodating as European flight crews, which is why I try not to select an American carrier. Seats are less comfortable on American carriers also."

We were all taking layer of off cloths as it was so hot. Seems the first class attendants were not monitoring the temps which regulars the temps just behind first class. Told the flight attendant who also acknowledged it but the first class attendants did not make the change Many were angry. We were on the Tarmac for almost 1.5 hours waiting for the plane to be de-iced. No AC during the process."

Cons: "Due to two flight delays, I traveled an additional 24 hours, on top of my 20 hour original flight. Albuquerque Airline staff were rude, dismissive, incompetent, and each individual I spoke with gave me wildly differing information. The two delays (leading to approximately 48 hours of travel) would have been stressful enough, but the callous, ignorant and unprofessional attitudes of American Airlines staff (and staff in general at Chicago O'Hare Airport) really disappointed me. This was even more striking compared with the professional service I received from British Airways (from whom I purchased the tickets). I was ashamed that my country could lag so far behind in terms of basic customer service and problem solving."

Cons: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Cons: "Would be nice to have more modern aircraft amenities, like power outlets for device charging, and display screens with at least some complimentary entertainment, or at least flight path tracking. Boarding counter lady was obnoxiously strict about not letting our carry-on bags to be carry-on. She made us test them in the size device and said they were too big, even though they could easy be pushed into the space, and regardless of the fact that we just flew on an American Airlines flight with them as carry-on and were only on a layover with them! Regarding the previous AA agent who let them be carry-on, she said "shame on them." Complete opposite of the positive experience we had with her counterpart in Phoenix. ಠ_ಠ"

Cons: "It was over crowded, the person in front of me spilt their entire coffee on my bag and with everyone wearing masks no one can hear you. He didn’t apologize and it was a mess. When I went to get my luggage they just tossed it and then entire bag opened up. My luggage was not over stuffed nor was it even close to the weight limit. Everything flew out of the bag when it came down the carousel. There was also no option to upgrade or even pay for a first class ticket- looks like I’ll go back to flying American."
Cons: "Engine was super loud on takeoff - to the point where passengers were looking around worried that something wasn't right. Eventually it seemed to be switched off once we hit the clouds and we seemed to sort of coast quietly for a minute or so - also alarming to everyone judging by the non-verbal behavior that suddenly everyone was exhibiting. Then it came back on again but only at half the volume. Nothing was mentioned about it by the captain or crew so I spent the rest of the flight wondering if the engine was going to give out part way through the flight."

Cons: "Kayak sent me a message that our connecting flight out of O'Hare was boarding at gate B5. However, checking the monitors in the terminal showed the correct gate was B21, which is on the opposite end of the terminal. I don't know why Kayak had the wrong information on this. We barely made our connecting flight because our starting flight was over 30 minutes late, which was United's fault. This made rushing to the correct gate for our connecting flight all the more stressful. No time to stop at the bathrooms or pick up something to eat. Both United and Kayak let me down on getting back to Hartford. We arrived at the end of boarding with no room left for our bags in the overheads so we had to check them and pick them up at the carousel. A totally BAD flight experience."
Cons: "Placed in middle seat with no options for isle or window due to my ticket. No problem with that if the people next to me were not so big. Young woman to my left by window was tall and broad and slept but took up all elbow and shoulder space. Guy to my right was very obese, sweaty so kept wiping his neck, head, and face with a cloth. Also had terrible body odor. I spent the entire flight in a narrow middle seat, hunching my shoulders due to lack of space. Both people taking up some of what little room I had."
Pros: "United Airlines Flight 202 Left on time. It was a Boeing 777 so it had a lot of room."
Cons: "The flight attendants seemed focused only on the small First Class section and rushed through everything in the Economy Class. They rushed through the "Food Service" and didn't want to answer questions about what is on their menu. The menu was removed from the magazines in our row. Fortunately, we brought our own snacks. The Economy CLass cabin had a terrible odor. It really smelled. Maybe they should clean the plane once in a while. United Airlines ALWAYS has issues with entertainment. You MUST download their App to your cell phone. Then, they allow you to connect to their entertainment system. If you don't, you cannot access WiFi without paying $26 for the flight ... the WiFi access is inconsistent and limiting and doesn't always work so the download doesn't always complete. This was a nine hour flight from Hell. I think I prefer Frontier Airlines. Although the airlines make you pay for everything now, at least you expect some attention and food options and a plane that doesn't smell. It was nauseating. Don't even ask me about the "Miles" that they keep screwing up ... RAY HANANIA"

Pros: "Captain and crew were brilliant, kept passengers informed throughout as to the delays, as a result all passengers were patient and understanding. Not much more could have been done to improve the experience as the snow and conditions at Dublin airport were out of their hands."
Cons: "I was exiting your airplane bathroom and my wife was entering when the flight attendant placed her arm in front of my wife and said, “I’m sorry but I’m working so that means I have dibs on this bathroom.” She then entered the bathroom and shut the door on my wife’s face. I was furious and speechless to witness such frank rude behavior and horrible customer service. I would like to think that United Airlines prides itself on better customer service than this. My wife and I have other choices when we fly and we will certainly think twice before we fly United Airlines again."
Pros: "I liked that I knew in advance to download the United app so I could actually watch a movie!! This was the second leg of the trip, and I didn’t know this the first flight and couldn’t use the United entertainment."
Cons: "An hour and half layover is fine, but add an3 hour delay on top of that, Kinda stunk. But hey, me and all my bags made it this trip!"
Cons: "The flight from Chicago to Moline was delayed over 3 hours due to an engine issue. We were delayed to board, then once we were boarded, we sat on a cold airplane for over 30 minutes in sub-zero temperatures in Chicago. Maintenance was called to start the engines externally but the starter machine wouldn't work. Finally, we were made to de-plane. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting on information. Never received meal vouchers. No snacks or water was given during the wait. The steward was very nice and helpful but the gate agent was horrible. She seemed "inconvenienced" when you went to ask her questions."
Cons: "The flight staff was rude, the wrong gas was put in the plane causing a delay, I missed my connection because of this where they wrote it was delayed because "it was snowing in Savannah" which was a blatant lie, but made it so they did not have to help me in any way since their delay was "weather" related. They could not get my to my destination until noon the next day which forced me to buy a new flight on Alaska air. My flight on Alaska was absolutely fantastic and I regret ever buying any United flight and will not in the future."
Cons: "Our plane was defective so had to be replaced. This is fine, I certainly am willing to wait for a new plane if it means not blowing up over the ocean. The problem was how little the attendants at the gate communicated the situation to us. What should have been a brief layover became a 12 hour nightmare. The gate attendants did finally issue meal vouchers but they waited until 10 minutes before all the restaurants closed and only issued $10 a person. This is enough to buy a hot dog at an airport... We were told there wouldn't be any rescheduling of missed connections until we were "airborne". This resulted in mass panic and confusion upon reaching our destination. We were told to go to the service desk, half an airport away, but once the entire passenger contents of the plane arrived at that far flung service desk, we were mostly turned away to seek help at individual gates. This lack of communication meant I missed the next next available connecting flight and now have a further six hour layover. I understand accidents happen and planes can break down but the nearly complete lack of care and customer attention is, frankly, disappointing. I've now had nearly an entire day added to my travel time. If I'd been willing to loose that time I would have paid $600 less for my ticket. United finally offered a token of their appreciation : a $100 e-voucher. I have spent more than that on food and coffee in airports for the past two days while trying to survive until my next connections."
Pros: "My television screen in front did not work. There were no images and the sound was very bad. So I could not listen to music either."

Pros: "The flight from Frankfurt to Chicago arrived late, had to collect bags and clear customs which delayed transfer, had to go from one end of the airport to the other on a train which operated very slow which delayed transfer, had to then clear TSA security checks which were very slow and again delayed transfer. Moving at the max speed we were capable of, we arrived at the opposite end of the airport too late to board and were left behind. United was not very sympathetic, although provided ticket for next morning flight. The entire experience was very disappointing following what was a decent tour of Italy."
Pros: "The only reason they have two stars instead of one is that the flight crew was good, and flight in general was ok. Also United service counter went above and beyond to help me with my situation, and I am grateful that they were able to rebook me on a new flight and check in my luggage without issues."
Cons: "There was no one at SAS service counter... I had to Google my flight number to find out that I actually had to check in with United since it was actually a United operated flight. Why was I not informed beforehand?? My itinerary said that this is SAS flight, how was I supposed to know that i was supposed to go to United?? Because there was no one at SAS counter, I had no one to ask, I ended up waiting for the counter to open for an hour. When I found out I had to go to United, it was already too late for me to check in so I ended up missing my flight. Thank god for the agent at United however, who helped me rebook my flight and check in my luggage."
Pros: "Economy Basic check-in was easier than I'd expected it to be, security was quick and seamless. Once on board the aircraft, the flight crew kept us informed about possible weather issues (e.g. turbulence), including the approximate time to expect it, how long it might last, and that it would probably preclude in-flight beverage service. Flight attendants offered to provide one-at-a-time beverage service to those "really in need of a drink." I thought that was pretty gracious under the circumstances, and was happy to see that passengers didn't take advantage of the option :-). Looks like United is doing its best to counteract its recent negative publicity. Well done!"

Cons: "The room and the food was horrible. Seems like every time I take a flight people get stuffed into planes like sardines. Also the food selection was nonexistent. There was not enough qty for each person on the flight and the food choices are subpar and very expensive. If u ask me with the exorbant cost of flight to include now the cost to bring luggage is horrible. What happened to the days when airlines actually cared for their customers. I guess those days are long gone. I have been in he military over 17 years and not once have I received a courtesy upgrade to 1st class and I have flew over the world. Guess it's all about the money. And have to pay for entertainment....go figure and why isn't there outlets on every seta in every row. Is that too much to ask!"

Cons: "I was not informed about the delay until after I checked my bag, otherwise I might have chosen another flight. I was informed that though I could possibly change flights, my bag might not. I have the UA app, and did not receive timely notification. Free WIFI would have been nice as a compensation. A 4 hour delay means I miss my bus and extends my travel time significantly, one more night away from home. You did offer $50 of mt next UA flight for the next year, but I don't fly that often. Considering the reason for the delay was they were waiting for a plane was frustrating."
Pros: "The fact that we got there safely."
Cons: "Took them 90 minutes to fix a seat belt because they kept bringing the wrong part. They got it right the third try. The cabin crew sat in the back and chatted for an hour while we sat at gate. Not even a glass of water offered. Then we were diverted to Pittsburg because of weather and sat for an hour. Again no water offered. So on 5 plus hour flight crew went around once. The final straw was they blamed weather for the delay when in fact it was not being able to find the correct seat belt in due time."
Pros: "The flight crew seemed worn and a bit surly. They ran out of two of the meals and the one I got was oddly seasoned but it was warm. We sat on the ground quite a while while they fixed the PA system with no water then there was a women they'd let on the flight even though she had a different destination - supposedly they spent an hour looking for her bag on the plane. Do you hold up a whole plane load of people that got on the right plane for the woman that didn't and how come when they checked her ticket - no one noticed?"
Pros: "Staff at airport and cabin crew were mostly nice. At airport, the ticket agent helped correct a mistake and was very helpful."
Cons: "There are TVs on the backs of chairs where they advertise that you can pay to watch shows or movies and play the safety video. That would be fine if you could just turn it off once that's done. But it was too hard to turn off, and after the safety video, they played three ads (you couldn't turn the ads off). At the end of the flight the tvs camenon again. It was also a night time flight - how can you sleep with the screen on. Also, the seat space seemed smaller than usual so the screen was in my face. I hated this flight."

Pros: "The crew was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Water and drinks were offered regularly. For those who had the app there was inflight entertainment. We paid for plus size seats and had enough leg room."
Cons: "I believe that on the long flights built in entertainment screens should be standard. Most people did not have the app and many spent 8.5 hours without anything to do. Food is not offered on this long flight unless you pay for it. You must walk to the very back of the plane where the food is in warmers. I got a hamburger and it was a bit dried out. Could have been worse...just hard to handle since tomato, lettuce and condiments were on the side. A larger person sat next to me and took use of the armrest between us which made me feel like I lost 4 inches of my personal space."

Cons: "I'm not a pilot but I've flown enough to know what turbulence is. I was one of the first to board and asked the flight attendant if there was food for purchase or any type of snack as my blood sugar was so low. I was also in pain and needed to take my medication. It was a 40+ minute flight however when one is handicapped you are at the mercy of the person taking you to the gate it's not like you can stop and look for a place to eat. It wasn't until we were almost at the destination we received a plastic cup and offered a sip of water. I sat right in front of the flight attendant and she could see my discomfort yet didn't offer a bag of peanuts or a drink"
Pros: "The older planes of United Airlines could use some remodeling. The entertainment system with controls in the middle of the arm rest where the elbow rests is such a bad idea, didn't even bother with this crappy unintuitive system. It was annoying and flashy with bright advertisements or something popping up on a night time flight just sooooooo annoying, turning it off was not intuitive and had to ask the flight attendants how to turn it off during their very busy work of handing out packages with five miniature pretzels and drinks to the passengers, was happy to get a whole cab of juice to myself though."

Pros: "Other then they got me there safe, I dont think there is anything I liked about this flight. Pilot did a decent job, there was lots of turbulance so nothing they could do about it and I made it safe."
Cons: "Plane from Chicago to Savannah was small. I was all the way in the seat not slouching and my knees were crammed in the set infront of me. The arm rests were digging into my thighs as well. Im used to not much leg room but this was a first for how crammed in I was into a seat, Im 6'3" & 270lbs. Ive probably been on 50 different planes over the years to give you some perspective of my experience flying when I say this was a first and a very uncomfortable plane. The plane to take us to Savannah arrived so late it pushed my flight back by like an 1.5 hours from what it was supposed to be."
Pros: "The crew did what they could and we're professional and curious, but there wasn't a ton to like about this flight"
Cons: "The flight was delayed. Ok, that happens sometimes and it annoying but part of air travel. The real kicker was that once we were on the airplane, they announced that seatback entertainment and wifi were not working, so there was no entertainment on the 4hr+ flight. Additionally, because the seatback entertainment wasn't working, the ability to control your own reading light was disabled, so the cabin lights were left on the entire late-night flight, making sleeping quite difficult. I understand that sometimes these things happen, but there are ways to mitigate- the gate agent could've told us that there would be no seat back entertainment while we were waiting at the gate delayed so we could've downloaded something, but they chose not to for reasons I can only hypothesize. Combine all this with the terrible 3-4-3 seat configuration and you're left with a terrible experience. Will never take this particular flight from Chicago again. It was cramped and one of the worst flights I've taken in recent memory."
Pros: "I loved how easy it was to book the flight."
Cons: "I cancelled my flight within 24hrs and received no refund because I booked through priceline. However, there was no restriction or clause listed on the ticket stating that I had to cancel through priceline also. It really should not matter who I cancelled through, if I canceled within 24hrs the refund should be given. Also, the debits from my account said United as well as priceline taking me to United's web page to make the purchase. So of course one would think cancelling through United's site is appropriate. I'm very disappointed in United and will consider all other options (Airlines) before booking with them again. PS - United customer gave me the run around for 3 days knowing that it was their policy and they were the company who's keeping my money. Absolutely ridiculous."

Cons: "This airline is so beyond awful. American has the most janky planes, uncomfortable seats, and worst service on the plane. I had to beg the flight attendant to get me a wine because I was asleep when they came by and missed them by not even a half hour... She acted like it was so hard and it took asking 4 times and finally just asking another person. I was so annoyed. They also have shitty food selections per usual. Who chooses those snack items?! They clearly have no taste. I was miserable the whole flight. I usually am not a miserable traveler so this isn't just me being negative, I seriously may write one review every few months, only if something is really good or really bad. The fact that I'm even taking the time to write this says a lot!!!"
Cons: "I had a flight from Los Angeles to Cleveland with a stop in Chicago on December 29, 2016; however, both flights were delayed. I am contacting customer care for compensation due to a severe delay for the departure and arrival for my flight from Chicago to Cleveland (Flight 786). I also wanted to report a very disappointing experience with the representatives at 1-800-864-8331. I was supposed to arrive at Cleveland, OH (CLE) on December 29, 2016 by 7:30 PM. However, it was closer to 11:20 PM when we finally arrived. The flight was delayed over an hour for departure when they announced the plane was not even ready and present at the gate. Due to this delay, we were not able to land on Cleveland, OH (CLE) because of snow on the runway. We circled Cleveland for roughly 40 minutes and then got redirected to the Detroit. We would've avoided the snow if the flight departed on time since the snow did not hit Cleveland until the delayed flight was airborne. We then landed in Detroit and spent another hour and a half in Detroit. At this time, I called the representatives at United and requested a refund. The representative completely understood my situation and said I would be refunded the full amount to my original payment method. She also assured me that I did not need a case number and that other representatives would be able to look up this information through my confirmation number. This was not the case when I contacted United again to see the progress on the refund. They said there were no annotations and that they could not provide a refund. They advised me that the previous representative had lied to me. While the flight experience caused me to miss the rehearsal dinner and bachelor party for a close friend I served with in the Army and almost caused me to miss the wedding, I feel very cheated and trashed for being lied to by your employees regarding my refund and its validity. This experience has left a very bad taste regarding United Airline's integrity and values."
Cons: "My flight was delayed by an hour and a half. That's the amount of time I could have spent to drive home to Milwaukee. I stuck around because there was no indication of a flight cancellation. I would rather hop on a 15-30min flight than go through the hassle of renting a car. BUT the flight did get canceled, the next flight was completely booked and the next flight out after that was at NIGHT. I arrived in Chicago in the morning. The gate agent told us all to head to United customer service. There I received RUDE, poor excuse of a "service" only to be told they don't give refunds at the counter as we were told by the gate agent. So do that on your own time. THEN I had to buy my bus ticket and spend 1.5-2hrs on top of already waiting 1.5hrs for the flight that got canceled. HORRIBLE. Will never fly United again. Did i mention upon my arrival home I found out American was WIDE open seat wise to chicago?? And no one checked for me!"

Cons: "-Free Soda but charged for water -Had confirmed seats but then our party with 2 toddlers got split up -Semi convenient( rather small could hardly fit a 1 year old) changing table but then flight attendants threw a fit when a stinky diaper was changed in there. -Had to have special programs on device to even play anything, thought I had everything on for return flight to watch movies but nope still needed something extra Wifi only works for United App and Website -Waiting in the shorter line to preboard with our 2 toddlers only to be cut off by a Global Travel Program(?) family with 15+ people"

Cons: "Our gate was changed multiple times with absolutely terrible communication. The computer system had gone yet and everything seems extremely disorganized. There were even flyers getting on the plane to TX when they were traveling to other destinations because of the lack of communication and the crew not throughly checking. The seating was the smallest space in all of the other airlines I have flown. The crew was less than friendly and yelling down the aisle about buying snacks and other drinks although it was a late night flight and many people were sleeping. Overall, it was an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. Luckily the flight crew had a smooth flight and got us safely to San Antonio. Only positive about the experience with United. This was all taking place along with our flight being delayed with out the monitors at the airport being updated and no notification via text or the United app."
Cons: "The difference in entertainment options between different United flights is frustrating. Unlike some flights, which offer a bunch of free movies and shows you can watch on your phone or tablet, this flight offered a small selection of movies I could pay $8 for access to, which started at pre-determined times so you might pay for them and not even be able to catch the movie from the beginning. My original flight offered an outlet to charge my phone and a fairly large selection of free movies, so I watched 3 movies and the time went by quickly. My return flight did have an outlet, but I didn't want to pay for a bad selection of movies that I couldn't pause or start from the beginning, so it felt like a much longer flight."
Pros: "Captain had apologized many times about the delay. I appreciated that. . Crew attitude towards customers were way better than my first leg.( Beijing to Chicago). I wonder why. Boarding took long time. Many people had no overhead bin for their carry on. I don't have one so I Just watched them. They serviced water and a tiny snack. One man asked if they have something to eat. He was given a bigger bag of snack, free, usually he had to pay. I guess its due to the delay. Waited a little longer for luggages. But I was happy I arrived Boston safe before midnight."
Pros: "I like that we finally made it!! 130a.m."
Cons: "This by far is the worst flight I have ever been on! It's starts off delayed... Fine! They get us on board the plane and we sit and sit without much info being given to ppl on flight! Then we are told there are mechanical issues and it won't b long before we leave... Half hrs goes by and they tell us it will be longer so for us to exit the plane.... Which turned into a 45min wait to finally tell us that we were waiting now on a new pilot to fly in from where ever he was to finally take over our flight , which didn't leave ORD till 1230.... Which was supposed to had left ORD at 930.... We finally get to PHX at 130 a.m. When were supposed to originally land n PHX at 930 mountain time! After all of this confusion and just bad manangement of time... We didn't get any apologies any kinda of compensation for time lost... Just a have a gud day! I'm pissed will Never fly with United Airlines and will tell others to also not fly United!"
Cons: "My boarding pass was not scanning which was holding up the line. A second person came over to approve me getting on the plane. That person made me check the size of my carry on bag, which had gotten bigger from some things I purchased in the airport but was just a touch too large for their sizer. She attempted to check the bag meaning I wouldn't have it until my final destination, which I was NOT ok with for two reasons. One was i had a 3 hour layover after this flight and needed work materials inside. The second was i was on a time crunch to get my ride at my final destination and was only traveling with carry on. She was very rude and insitant on it fitting inside the sizer as she stood over me with the tag to check my bag. I managed to take some things out that I moved into my backpack, which meant I had to awkwardly carry my blanket and travel pillow onto the plane. The most frustrating part was when I got on the plane, it was oversized top carryon bins, so the extra inch my bag grew would have been fine. Because of the time it took me to rearrange, i was the last one on the plane and all the bins had been filled with tiny second bags, but a few people on the plane had seen what happened and they rearranged a space for me. Also my video screen was broken and everyone else's worked. And there were two screaming babies around me the whole flight, but that is no one's fault."
Pros: "The flight itself and the crew were fine."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by weather but still on time for us to make our connection. But boarding was delayed. Finally, the gate agent announced that they were repairing an overhead bin door. This took approximately twice the announced estimated time. Even so, we arrived at the gate with enough time to make the connection, which was 4 gates away. Did the crew ask people to let those with close connections get out first? No. Did the crew or gate agent communicate to other gates that we had arrived? No. We got to our connecting gate 6 minutes before the scheduled departure. They had closed the door and would not board us. Two people from our plane made it to the connection, so they knew we were coming. But 5 of us who were seated a little further back arrived minutes later. We made it onto a later flight. We also adopted an elderly passenger in a wheelchair, who would have been left by himself at the next gate for 3 hours by United if we had not taken him with us. We all got on the next flight, but only with some work."
Cons: "Departure was delayed for five hours. Gate changes 4 different times to opposite sides of the terminal. Weren't told honest reason of the delay until two hours in. They boarded half of the plane and stopped when the pilots radioed in that there was a severe hydraulic fluid leak. Updates were supposed to happen every thirty minutes but more than three times they were longer than thirty minute intervals and at one point more than ninety minutes without an update. The representatives at the Chicago gate told us we were all set then the rest of the passengers boarded the plane. The pilot said they were waiting on maintenance paperwork to print off but then we waited an extra hour at the gate on board while we could still hear very loud tests of the hydraulic system. Once we finally left the gate and headed out on the runway for takeoff we stopped just before takeoff and the pilot said we were waiting on PAPERWORK AGAIN! This was another 30 minute delay and we finally took off. We were supposed to arrive home at 10:00pm and instead arrived at 3:00am..."
Pros: "Seating was very nice in Delta select, lots of leg room!!!"
Cons: "There were 3 flight attendants on this flight and two of the three were great. One however was the rudest woman I've ever met. Her favorite word was "no" and she talked down to everyone, including her fellow flight attendants. I really wish I had gotten her name but when I asked her, her response was, "why?" I was so fed yo with her I just said forget it and avoided her. I understand people have bad days but I have a feeling this was more of a personality issue. She acted better than everyone else. It really only takes one person to ruin the whole flight"
Cons: "They held us on the plane from Indy to Chicago for so long that most of us knew we were going to miss our flights. I ran all the way to my gate to discover that the plane took off 10 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. I was told there were no other flights to LA and I would have to get a hotel until tomorrow. I was only going to be in California for 2 days so every second counts, so when I became upset the man checked again and found me a seat on a plane that took off in an hour. I was grateful but at the same time I was kind of displeased that he didn't offer that to me originally."
Cons: "- Horrible food; - Very old airplane. The oldest I ever flew; - The entertainment system was horrible and not worked. We came the whole flight without having access to anything, neither the map of the flight."
Cons: "I am almost always cold. Not so on this flight. The temperature on the plane was so miserably hot that I had sweat pouring down my face. Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."
Pros: "We got lucky and there were two empty seats across the aisle, which happened to have extra leg room, and the one gentleman sitting there, graciously offered to move to the window seat so my husband could sit in the aisle seat. My husband was quite happy that he was able to move just across the aisle from me and have the extra leg room."
Cons: "My husband's original seat had a broken jack for headphones and the only thing they could offer was to switch seats with someone that wasn't going to use theirs. Luckily, the man sitting across the aisle heard what was going on and offered his seat to my husband and the gentleman just moved to the window seat. Paying an extra $118 for basically nothing; it's not very clear before you buy it, what exactly your paying the extra money for. On our return flight, we flew American, and the same thing would have only cost us an extra $42. We had to wait in a ridiculously long security line in Chicago and by the time we got to our terminal, 90% of the passengers were already on the flight or in line to enter the plane and that's what we found out we had paid the extra $118 for."
