Pros: "The boarding, comfort and crew were excellent. Everything is very organized and professional."
Cons: "I had a 12 hour layover in Istanbul. The hotel was great and I appreciated the good food and rest. However, it took nearly an hour each way to the hotel. I think it would be great if Istanbul airways cooperated with the Yotel so transit passengers could stay in the airport. They helped me to get a visa and they say it will be reimbursed, but all of those things took time when I was so exhausted after a long flight. Overall, it was wonderful to have that opportunity to rest and shower on a long wait, but it would be even better if it was closer and it was clear ahead of time that a visa would be needed."

Cons: "This was the worst airline I have flown with. I booked my tickets last minute, it was for me and my 4 month old son. I had 3 suitcases a stroller and 2 carryons. I had paid for the suitcases, but because I was traveling alone I went there with my husband and he politely asked if they could please take the carryons on the plane because she can’t carry everything by herself. The manager came out and said that we have to pay. I said I already paid extra for my suitcases please help us because my wife is carrying our son, the diaper bag and 2 carryons. He was rude stating that we have to pay each carryon. We didn’t have the extra money and my wife took everything with her. If that’s how Turkish Airline treats their customers, they shouldn’t be operating. It was the last time I use this airline. No dignity or humanity, it’s all only about the money. And when I took the stroller with my son. They made me package the stroller by myself looking that I had my son on me crying and when I asked for help they said that they can’t help me... unbelievable... they see me with 2 carryons a stroller and a baby and they can’t help me."

Cons: "Poor Boarding In Chicago, no lines were formed to let people board in an organized fashion. Insufficien/inappropriate food ( BEEF Prevented choices ) - Eliminate beef from your food choices. Many people like me can eat Non vegetarian meals like chicken, fish , EXCEPT BEEF Ran out of the Salmon fish dish. I was given a snacking cheese sandwich instead! This would not have happened if you had selected other than a beef dish! Cramped seating. The airlines greed shows in picking out the seat placement design. The plane had extremely limited knee room. I'm five foot five inches tall and my knees were almost touching the seat in front."

Cons: "We had a 80 minute layover in Frankfurt. Turkish Airlines should make note that this is not sufficient for making a connection. 1. The terminals require extensive walking. Not a problem except for time. 2. Security entering the terminal was seriously understaffed. There were a hundred security personnel, but thousands of passengers. The line stretched for half a mile. 3. Cutting, disorganization, mismanagement, lack of organization, and airport layout all contributed to making this a very stressful hour for us."

Cons: "Hi, The flight was great. However my layover at airport lounge was long. I didn't like their (Turkish Business lounge)policy for not letting me have the room to sleep as the layover was more than 7hrs. I was told to ask for a hotel at reception. When i did, they said that they dont have any hotel inside and cant take me to ourside hotel too. The staff at reception of lounge was not courteous either. I only needed the room to sleep for 3 or 4 hrs. Anyway, the flight itself was great, no complaints"

Pros: "I sat in coach but was treated like I was in first class. Hot towels. Entrees were very excellent. The food was above what I expected coach meals to be from my experiences flying different carriers to over 8 different countries. The customer service was amazing! The lady flight attendant for my section was very attentive and friendly. When I came out of the bathroom, I accidentally interrupted one male flight attendant from doing his job, he politely gestured which reassured me that he would be right with me when he was done with what he was doing. I asked him if they had any heartburn or antiacids available which they didn't. These 2 interactions with the flight attendants made the flight very enjoyable."
Cons: "I was in couch and in the middle seat. I usually get the aisle or window so it was a hard adjustment to sleep in the middle seat because I didn't have leg room and couldn't lean my body against anything so I had to shift often to avoid my bottom from feeling numb."

One of the crew members gave me a hard time for having my purse out for 1 minute while I was taking my prenatal vitamin even though we were sitting on the runway for over an hour at this point and the man in front of me had his chair fully reclined so I wasn't able to get to it under my seat.. Even though as she said, we were about to take off, but she didn't say anything to the man in front of me. This was my second time flying with them and the first experience was much better."

Pros: "First of all, the food is fantastic is you are not a meat and potatos (or big mac) kind of person. My original flight left late due to a hold up in security in Chicago. Turkish Air was very responsive and easy to work with when I missed my connector in Istanbul. Friendly crew. Clean jet. Will definitely use them agian."

Turkish Airline changed my connection time without notifying me such that I had 5 min left for my cooection in stambul. They gave me no other option and blamed this on Kayak and kayak blamed it on the Airline leaving me with no options. I had to stay in Birlin at my own expense. Complaint filed with Turkish airline resulted in nothing. I made several calls for update and only repose I got was we will send an email to the complaint dept. and you will here in 24 hours. This has been going on for over 5 days with no contect, update or resolution. Once back in the US, I plane to file a formal complaint with FAA and more. DO NOT take this airline. They are worst airline I have ever used and will never use it again."

Pros: "I was very pleased with the overall service and comfort on my flight. Boarding went smoothly, and crew were friendly and helpful. Cabin service included Turkish delight, hot towel, an amenities bag, hot dinner, hot breakfast, and snacks available thought the flight in the galley. Entertainment was on demand and included a wide selection. Seats were comfortable with reasonable distance between rows for coach (better than on many U.S. carriers). They have ample restrooms and they are split throughout the coach cabin, which made lines for the restroom almost nonexistent. Restroom amenities include hand lotion and refreshing spray - very nice."

"When I arrived at the airport I checked my bags in and they gave me piece of paper and told me to wait and someone will come get me with the wheelchair. I am 84 and this was set up when I purchased my ticket. My flight was at 4 . I have waited an hour for someone to show up after 3pm . After that I was told I won’t be able to board the plane because it’s too late. What a mess! My bags were taken! I ended up taking a another flight few hours later . When I arrived at my destination I found out my bags are missing. Again! I am 84 all my bags were checked in . I am not able to carry heavy items . I don’t have my belongings, my medication! This is was horrible , horrible service . Not only flying somewhere it’s stressful as it is these days and then this! My flight was over 10 h plus all the time I spent at the airport that was freezing cold ! Again I am 84! This was a nightmare. Thank you Lufthansa for making my trip hard to forget."

Cons: "CONSTANT ANXIETY!! Our flight to Chicago was delayed. By 2 hours. This normally is not a big deal but it caused us to miss our connecting flight from Munich to Bremen. Then our new flight with a later time to Bremen was cancelled 20 minutes prior to boarding with no more flights to this area. The service center helped us redirect another flight to Hamburg, Germany. We had to fly to Vienna and then to Hamburg. We made it to Vienna after a 40 minute delay however, this delay caused us to miss our connecting flight once again. We were placed on an early flight the next morning to Hamburg which was an easy flight. When we got to luggage in Hamburg we noticed our luggage was missing. Supposably still in Munich. We then missed this flight and missed out on valuable time with friends who live in Germany."

The temperature was too hot the entire flight and I was unable to recline my seat back in order to sleep. Two bathrooms were out of commission the entire flight. This was the worst experience I've had on a red eye flight to Europe (I've traveled at least a dozen times between the US and Germany)"

However, when I checked in, I was assigned a middle seat and the representatives at the ticket counter tried to tell me that was my preference. They tilde me to take it up with customer relations. If I pay $100 for a particular seat, I should get that seat!"

Cons: "Still didn't get to destination. Two hours delayed was enough to make me miss the connection flight which result in a extra 7 hours wait in Munich for a 9 hours total. But they compensate all that with a 10 euros voucher, well worth the trouble."

Cons: "S7 asked for additional "fees" to cover flight expenses. They have charged extra for carry on luggage of 2,000 roubles. It was mentioned that it was international flight but they have refused to honor those rules. I have used the same bag on other airlines and did not have any problems."

I had been looking forward to catching up on some movies ( rarely have time for to or movies usually) was disappointed to have no working screen on such a long flight. Did appreciate the effort to supply a gluten free meal, unfortunately someone added whole wheat crackers ( luckily still in wrapper ). The boarding area was mixed with people trying to get to New Jersey at the next gate making it very crowded and confusing, people found themselves in the wrong line."

Cons: "My wifes luggage was lost, no followup at all from Lufthansa (main) or in Seville which was our destination. We had to call to find out any information. Once the bag was found and delivered to Seville, Lufthansa personnel again did not tell us nor would they deliver the bag to our hotel as the driver had already left. We then had to wait another day to have the bag delivered to Granada. Terrible customer service, the bag was missing for four days causing us to spend time shopping for clothes rather than experiencing the city."

But until then, I had attendants who were telling us to try things and then they'd leave and not come back to check up and follow through, which left us constantly trying to find someone...one time our call light was on for 20 minutes before anyone attended to us. In addition, the bathrooms were very dirty. The breakfast was a really bad muffin that I couldn't eat."

Pros: "Timely distribution of meals/drinks, uncommonly quick boarding and ... unboarding. I travel with a musical instrument and some airlines want to check it and some even insist on checking it, even though there is always plenty of room. This was a completely full flight and no one even mentioned the possibility of checking it; they put me in an early boarding line and put it in a closet. The way they handle this for myself and the other passenger with an instrument made our day, as well as making boarding smoother forbus and everyone else. Really excellent job on that!"

This was my first time flying Aer Lingus from Chicago to Dublin with a connecting flight to Leeds and I was impressed with their service and efficiency. I noticed the flight attendants were attentive and courteous to passenger needs throughout the flight which was 6 hours exactly. I have flown on many airlines and the service on Aer Lingus rates the highest for passenger satisfaction. Look forward to flying them again. Thank you!"

Pros: "There wasn't much to like about this flight! The seats were comfortable and we had plenty of leg room but we paid extra for that leg room! Nothing more good can I say about this experience!!!"
Cons: "Loading for departure was almost 45 minutes late. The plane had been at the gate for at least 3 hours. Many varying excuses were given. Once boarding started, it was stopped again for mechanical problems with the plane. Each announcement assured us that no one would miss connections in Dublin!! Plane was loaded and doors were closed and secured....then we sat in the plane for over an hour without moving. Still experiencing mechanical problems. Now there was no way to get off or rebook a flight. The ENTERTAINMENT system did NOT work on the plane!! Landing in Dublin we were told to see agent at the gate if we missed our connecting flight to get info on our re directed connection. If we had not been rebooked, go to a room off the baggage area to be rebooked and then get our baggage. There was no one at the gate, the person in the room that we were directed to could not do anything, the baggage carousel broke down twice and our luggage was diverted to a different carousel with no indication that it had been moved. We had to go thru customs and go down to be re ticketed for a different flight. We waited in a long line for a hour to try to get a new flight to Hamburg. There was another 2 flights that could get us to Hamburg in time to make it to our destination But the Aer Lingus did not have a reciprocal agreement with that airline. Aer Lingus could NOT get us to Hamburg in time for us to make our connection there! The Aer Lingus agent told us that her only job was to get us to Hamburg and nothing more! Anything beyond that was our problem. We missed our 10 cruise because of the excessive delays, excuses and incorrect information given by your agents!!!! We are seasoned travelers and have never experienced such terrible service! Our trip back to the States from Dublin with Aer Lingus was just as terrible! Communication is NOT one of their strong points. We were boarded on he plane and sat for an hour and a half before asked to de board the plane. The plane had been damaged by the skywalk. We were told that food vouchers would be given for lunch and that we were not allowed to leave that wing of the terminal. It took 45 minutes for anyone to meet the passengers with the vouchers. These vouchers did not, in any way, cover the cost of a lunch. We were called to line up for boarding before most even had a chance to get in an order at the food counter. Everyone hurried to get in line and it was 3 hours later before we were allowed to board the plane!?! This does not make one want to fly again soon with this airline!"

Pros: "The movies available, the plane was new"
Cons: "Due to a computer software malfunction our departure flight from ORD to Berlin was delayed 1.25 hours causing us to miss our connecting flight in Dublin. Very little updated information about our ETA was made available, the crew kept insisting that we were going to not miss our connection."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "My flight to Dublin from Chicago was delayed therefore my flight to Birmingham is even more delayed. Let’s just say, I’m really not happy. also, I had to pay to get my family to sit together and therefore ended up paying for some stranger ‘s seat. I will contact Aer Lingus"

Cons: "I would have liked an exit seat but none were available when I attempted to purchase one."

Cons: "The entire crew needs to be a little attentive to their passengers you could visually see when they needed to assist a guest it was a bother to them."

Cons: "Trains were not running Directions to connecting flight gate were poorly labeled and confusing, no signage to catch buses to International terminal - no signage to say trains were down Had to recheck at international gate and the process was SLOW took 1:20 minutes to get from landing gate to connecting gate including having to go through security again probably won't fly Air Lingus or United again due to having to deal with O'Hare"

Pros: "I enjoyed the crew you could tell they enjoyed working together the moved like a family..a unit almost."
Cons: "Boarding wasn't that great Sometimes I wish they would start from the back so people aren't getting hit while passing in the aisles."

Pros: "Smooth landing. Entertainment. That's about it."
Cons: "I've flown many overseas trips some first, some premium, some economy. This economy was the worst. I felt like a sardine smashed in a tin can. Also, extra to buy snacks and drinks? Not looking forward to the flight back. Would love to upgrade but site won't let you :( even if it gives you an option to do so"

Cons: "Most uncomfortable flight ever"

Cons: "shitty airline shitty service from ...webjet?...who I got ticket through -- said they had my seats assigned. They didn't. totally inexplicable who i was dealing with...aer lingus operated by british airways. Aer lingus couldn't make seat assignmetns they said b/c it was BA. BA wouldn't deal with me. Someone else at aer lingus did deal with seats -- told me to straighten out at airport. Aer lingus at airport no help. Terrible"

Pros: "Everything wa on time"

Pros: "Loaded the plane from the back to the front which only makes since. Never got hit in the face by someone's carry on. Staff was very nice and clean cut. Looked and acted professional"
Cons: "Food and drink was continuous and they only turned the cabin lights off for the last 2 hours of overnight fllight"

Cons: "No free wine. Could not hear movies most of time."

Pros: "Loaded plane back to front. Organized."

Cons: "Broken suitcase. I have traveled quite a bit with these hard sided suitcases over the past six years and witnessed some pretty rough handling. None of that caused any damage, so I am not sure what they did to break one down the entire length."

Pros: "The crew was very friendly and helpful"
Cons: "The food was really bad, The breakfast sandwich they handed out would not have been fit for animals. Horrible!!!! The entertainment equipment on the aircraft was not working and my wife and I were not able to see a movie or anything. Not a good way to take a long flight. My seat was not working properly and was either all the way back or all the way up."

Pros: "Everyone seemed to be pleasant, had no issues with any baggage, we paid for the upgraded meals which were pretty good considering where were at. Entertainment system worked fine."
Cons: "Seats are fairly crammed together so eating from the middle seat was tight, could have picked up our trays quicker also. Was getting sore sitting for 8 hrs but that's common"

Pros: "You lost the suitcase I needed for the next 2 weeks of my last family vacation in Europe. When I called for an update after 2 days (the promised notification from you was not made) I was told it was found and would be brought by courier to my Airbnb. When I called again, I found out it had arrived in Frankfurt but I'd have to come back to the airport to retrieve it. I had to cancel some plans and inconvenience my family because of your inept handling of my personal property. Other people were in line at the service desk to report their luggage lost. I'm VERY upset. I will avoid Are Lingus and BA in the future. NO LEG ROOM! (Crying, wailing infants the whole 7 hour flight--not your fault, but no sleep for any of us unfortunate passengers)"

When I went back to the galley to seek some water, all 3 attendants were asleep - 2 even had blankets over their heads! It did not seem like they were particularly into providing a pleasant experience for passengers."

Cons: "They lost my luggage. The young man at the,AL desk at Frankfort was tude,and dismissive. It is more than 24 hours later now and they have made no contact."

Cons: "The air conditioning on the plane flight from Chicago to Dublin was way too cold. I am was glad to have my winter clothes but I was still cold. Other than that the crew dis everything else to make the flight good."

Pros: "Generally good service. Clean plane and friendly staff."
Cons: "Seat in front of me broke into a reclining position. Made the flight uncomfortable. Although nothing could be done to fix it during the flight, it might have been nice if they had offered me a perk for the trouble."

Pros: "On time. Movies."
Cons: "Staff was not too friendly. Seemed to cater more to Irish Nationals over anyone else. Not very attentive to "guests". Seats were too close together. When seats in front were reclined (most of the trip) there was little room. Food was not that tasty at all."

Pros: "We were in coach, and it was crowded but not impossible. The space was clean; the crew relatively attentive; and the service as acceptable."
Cons: "The meal choices were extremely limited. For example, "breakfast" at the last hour leg of the trip from ORD to DUB consisted of a ham and cheese croissant ONLY-no options; no yogurt; no fruit; nothing. It was a "take it or leave it" proposition. Then, to add insult to injury, on the trip from Dublin to Barcelona, there was only "food for sale"! What is that about? I mean it's a four-hour flight; one might think that aside from Pringles and Kit-Kat bars some thought might have gone into the nutritional content of the "FOOD"!!! This was quite disappointing."

Pros: "Great boarding experience, good food"
Cons: "Speakers for entertainment were ridiculous, poor ear speakers made it impossible to hear selection. I opted to use my own ear buds and iPad for entertainment. Seating was very poor for an overnight flight I expected more room and at least would have liked to sleep with my head on the tray but with the passenger in front of me leaned back there was barely enough room to get up and use the bathroom"

Pros: "Their accents"
Cons: "Delays, missed connections, their proposed solutions to missed connections, their inability to hold connecting flights just a few minutes to allow passengers on a delayed flight to make their connection."

Cons: "Our luggage arrived in england sopping wet and reeking of beer. The contents are awful. We have tried frebeze and all manner of things and now it reeks of perfume muxed with beer. We have spent our first three days in england trying to find where ti clean sll our clothes and are afraid to pack in the smelly suitcas. Our holiday has lost three precious days trying ti remedy the results from Aer Lingus' actions. Person in front of us had seat all the way reclined into my husbands legs for the whole flight. TV too close to be able to look at any entertainment."

Cons: "The airport is a joke ! People couldn't be more rude ! Trying to print boarding pass was beyond difficult the staff was unaccomidating and there were 4 screaming babies for 6 hours straight ! Also we tried to change the flight and couldn't unless we pay over $400 !!! We will NEVER fly with you again"

Pros: "The United has the option to stream on your device for this short leg. All you need is an app. It was very convenient. This is the future. Use your own device, headphones etc."

Pros: "Despite the three-hour delay and some frustrated passengers, the cabin crew stayed very calm and positive."
Cons: "The flight left about three hours late, which isn't really anyone's fault, but it would have been nice to be told more specifically what was going on (what the problem was, estimated time it will take, maybe ensure passengers that the airline is aware of all their connecting flights and are already placing them on new flights)"

Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "I don't like that if I get sick and have to go to a hospital and have to change travel dates, Aer Lingus has no policy to reimburse me for the flights I can't make. So I buy new tickets and lose the money on the old tickets. That is terrible customer service and makes other airlines more attractive."

Pros: "The food was adequate and movies were available to watch theough out the flight."
Cons: "When our flight was canceled we were refused service repeatedly by both airport and phone support, and forced to stay in a hotel. On the rescheduled flight we were forced to relinquish priority seats. This was the worst airline experience I have ever been a part of. We sat on the tarmac for 5 hours before the flight was canceled and no other options were left. Our second flight to replace that was rescheduled at a different time without notifying us. No service, no offer to recuperate lost time and money, no compensation offered. Flat out terrible service."

Cons: "It was VERY cold on board -- even with the blanket, it was too cold to be able to sleep. Three blankets might have worked, with a wool hat. Perhaps it was because we were near the window -- but very cold indeed!"
