When my mother, who is very cold-natured in general asked for a hot chocolate, he replied with, "Okay, it's like 100 degrees outside!" making her feel as if she was abnormal. We're not outside, we're inside the plane where it's temperature controlled. What is it to him that she wanted hot chocolate? Sounds like he was being too lazy to make it. The flight was early in the morning and in many cultures, it is common to have a hot drink in the morning so this whole situation made him seem culturally insensitive as well. I heard several smart-aleck responses to several passengers throughout the flight. Normally, I enjoy flying SWA but I couldn't get off this flight fast enough."

When we checked in at Calgary- there were only 3 people intially. Then, 2 left and only 1 old man was left. He tried to move through the line, but could not clear us fast enough. About 50 people were stuck and not able to get boarding passes or luggage checked. We missed out flight. The scene was chaotic. Then, those of us who missed the flight were not able to get help as he was now trying to get the next people on the SLC flight through. We were so upset. Poorly run.

I went to a kayak help desk to have a ticket printed that showed my TSA precheck because it wasn’t showing on my mobile ticket, and no one was there to help. I waisted for 10 mins. It then took me nearly 2 hours to get through security. I asked if I could get through quicker and was told I could not, despite it being passed my boarding time. I then ran to my gate where I waited for another 10 mins (no one was there, again) and then an employee came out and said they couldn’t let anyone board once the door was shut. He then directed me to the delta help desk (there was at least 20 people behind me who missed their flight). I then had to pay an additional $75 to get a later flight. The whole experience was awful and I’m disappointed with Kayak and the gate confusion, but mostly Delta and the lack of customer service."

If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

And i mean SURROUNDED. That cabin is SO tight! So tight in fact the seats are a blow mold plastic with roughly 1.5" of foam and fabric. Think go-cart bucket seat with some foam rubber and pleather. Then there's luggage... My carry on bag (that I've used for 15yrs) was too big for the jig at the counter so got to check it for an additional $10 (above the $30 i had to pay to bring it) and they charged me $40 for my original check bag. The hitch is that they only allow 40lbs ($1/lb) for that check bag when the rest of the industry says 50lbs is the norm. Oops, gotta pay for that too! And wait for it... sodas are $2 in flight!"

Here's how it all starts out they welcome you to the terminal with a wonderful opportunity to pay $5 for printing your boarding passes (unless you download their app). How could a piece of paper that small that no other airline charges you to print cost $5 you ask? Well that is the magic of Allegiant Airlines at work, if they can't make something simple; both costly and annoying then you aren't flying Allegiant Airlines. You then inquire at the check-in desk can my loved one and I sit together, and they say sure but you will have to do that at the gate. Ok some positive news here...but then it sinks in.. wait a minute what Airline are we flying again? ...Allegiant Airlines, and what is their motto?? If it is simple and easy it shall become both costly and wildly inefficient. You arrive at the gate with hope in your heart and they then tell you, umm no. Who ever told you that is a fool! You can make no changes to your seating this is a 40,000lb aircraft with a 300,000lb lift capacity and it can't handle you sitting next to your girlfriend it would compromise the avionics and we would all surely die. Then why on the app did it show open seats? Seats of course for a price! Not by section like a normal airline ohhh noo a price that was completely different for every single seat as if the seats were in competition with each other in some high altitude economy that makes far less sense at sea level.The helpful response to this inquiry was 'oh well that was then' I am looking at it right now. I don't know what to tell you.. What's next?! A surprise $50 charge per carry-on! Unless you read the small print on one of their emails that is filled with advertisements they make it look like another advertisement, I'm going to go out on a limb and say INTENTIONALLY as it is never mentioned on: (The check-in email, the purchase confirmation email, not mentioned by the ticket counter, not anywhere on the app, not written anywhere on the electronic ticket despite them announcing otherwise) They instead tell you right as you are boarding the plane and have absolutely no choice in the matter and have done this innumerable amount of times as the flight attendant was well versed in de-escalation protocol and a security guard was positioned an arms length away as she deftly charges your card on file... I have run out of characters for this post I can only assume this comment section is run by Allegiant Airlines.."

Volarís overbooked our flight and then made it impossible to board because they didn’t have anywhere to put us. After 2 hours in the special assistance line with 200 other screwed travelers they offered us a flight 5 days later for a small fee of 750 dollars. You think you’re saving money with this rude airline but you’re not. Extremely callous staff accustomed to screwing people who give them their money to travel.
Check in was too slow!!! We got early at the counter but sinde check in take so much time. We were just in time at the gate. Check in on web or mobile doesn’t work.. the flight goto off on time and came as scheduled.
Flight was delayed 3hr! They had us running around from gate to gate!

They charge you ridiculous amounts for a carry on and a checked bag (almost the same price as the flight itself). Volaris has got to be the most uncomfortable airline I've ever been on. There is barely any leg room, the seats don't recline even though there is a button, and there is no way to get any work done, as not even a laptop fits on the tray-table.

I got home very late and didn't notice the problem until the next morning. I checked their baggage policy and noticed there was a four-hour window to report lost or damaged luggage, so I was out of luck on a $100 piece of luggage. I recognize damage can be caused by any airline, but when you have to pay to check a bag AND carry one on, you would think you'd be given more than four hours to report a problem."
