It was not a full flight so I didn’t feel cramped and had space for my carry on in the overhead compartments instead of having to check it in due to lack of space like I had to do on all the other AA flights.

We were given last minute notice our flight was going to be delayed and our gate changed 3 times. There was never a definite time frame for anything and very vague information was given. Our flight ended up being delayed almost 2 hours. It was my most frustrating experience with any airline. Definitely would not choose to fly with them again

The flight did get me from Chicago to Atlanta successfully, which was essentially the goal. The flight was not at all delayed, which was very appreciated. The staff was wonderfully nice, no complaints.

The flight was very simple, I was unaware of their baggage policy before arriving to the airport. Other airlines make it clear how much a carry-on will be, I was unaware, and I felt a little tricked when I got to the airport and paid $55 for my bag. I don’t recall it being clear when I purchased my ticket either. I would have likely gone with another airlines if I knew it would be that expensive for a carry-on. No complimentary beverage service on the flight, which would have been nice. Keep expectations low, I don’t really need entertainment or a complimentary beverage service on the flight, is it nice and very appreciated, yes.

The airplane seats were comfortable.

The email confirmation was NOT printable as there were technical difficulties for both myself and my friend. We tried using 2 different computers to view a printable copy of our tickets. We also tried downloading the Spirit app to our phones for an early check in, but this too was not working. On our return flight, we made it to the kiosk 45 minutes before departure (we originally planned to be earlier but we had some mishaps happen causing us to check in later than planned), but the kiosk took too long for us to meet the 45 minute deadline. As a result, we had to go to the check in desk where he supervisor on duty told us we missed the deadline. She also told us there were EMPTY seats on the flight. Had she given us some sort of boarding pass we could have made it to the flight well before departure. FYI- we were 3 minutes late for check in by the time she pulled up our information.. Pretty didarisfied with the limited amount of help she could provide. I'd like a refund on my money rather than a credit because the spirit experience is not a customer focused experience. Every other airline has hospitality. Spirit tries to make money off of you for every inconvenience at the price of cheap plane tickets. I'll never ride spirit again.

Damn cheap. Like 30$ for a flight to Atlanta from Chicago. I mean seriously! But of course pay for everything on the plane. To be expected and also can’t complain. Only reason for 4 stars is because I didn’t want to go to Atlanta. Had to because Of business. So, not a good representation really. Plane looked new. All guys as attendants which was a first. They were cool. And the baby next to me didn’t cry the entire trip which was a complete surprise. Just wish I didn’t get motion sicknesss so easily. Good flight though.

I didn’t want to go home.

Not much

My first time flying with Spirit and it started off bad to begin with. First learned that you can't carry on a bag without a $55 per leg fee adding 50% more to the trip. We decided to check one bag instead at a cost of $40 per leg but then Spirit considers over 40 Lbs overweight instead of 50 like other airlines so another $30 for overweight per leg for an extra $140 for the trip. Then soft drinks are $3 everything costs more. I will say the flight crew did a great job when there was a heart attack on our flight and they attended to him with great care. Then our flight back was cancelled due to the Hurricane but no other airline had to cancel that far out from the hurricane actually hitting. It seems Spirit couldn't get flights to Chicago with nothing to do with Atlanta. In fact we ended up driving all the way back to Atlanta only to see Delta and other airlines landing at the airport 11 hours later. Only Spirit wouldn't fly in more than a day before it effected the area. They did at least refund most of my money. I'll just never fly them again.

I liked getting to my destination on time.

The one carry-on policy was silly and included personal items. I was told to repack my purse into my backpack which was already full. The boarding staff stood over me and told me to throw stuff away in my backpack and asked why I had packed certain things. I am in the process of moving back to the US from Korea after two years so everything I had was everything I owned in the world - which included some sentimental things like a stuffed animal from my mother who passed away when I was three years old. The most infuriating part of this however was realizing that there was one other bag in my overhead bin. In fact most of the overhead bins had one to two bags and plenty of room. My repacking and humiliation was unnecessary and it was only for the morbid satisfaction of the lady at boarding demanding it. At one point I heard her talking with her coworkers about “why couldn’t they freaking listen. We announced it three times.” Well I had approached the counter prior to arrival and they told me to get back in line when I tried to ask about my purse and backpack. In additional to the frustration of all of that, I received my checked in luggage with a wheel missing. I had just bought it and now I have to ship a wheel from the vendor in South Korea or buy new luggage. Thank you guys so much for letting me know which airline to never fly with again.

The flight from Frankfurt to Chicago arrived late, had to collect bags and clear customs which delayed transfer, had to go from one end of the airport to the other on a train which operated very slow which delayed transfer, had to then clear TSA security checks which were very slow and again delayed transfer. Moving at the max speed we were capable of, we arrived at the opposite end of the airport too late to board and were left behind. United was not very sympathetic, although provided ticket for next morning flight. The entire experience was very disappointing following what was a decent tour of Italy.

I am a 5'3" 125# woman who, unfortunately, had a middle seat assignment. The passenger to my right, on the aisle, weighed approximately 375# and took up 1/3 of my seat. The arm was not able to go down comfortably, and when it did it was not usable . The passenger on my left, window seat, was probably 6'7" and had to sit with a man spread in order to fit. I could not move and was extremely uncomfortable. The plane was overbooked so I was unable to move. Therefore, worst flight ever. Plus, I paid for a full seat and was only able to occupy half of it.

The Airbus 320 was very new and seating was generous on leg room. Many of the other airlines fly planes that feel old and have cramped seating. This was different and a definite plus. Not having food and beverage service on a short 90 min flight is a big plus! Not at all a negative. You did not have the flight crew hustling down the aisle creating a general sense of congestion. They were very quick up and down the aisle to serve those who wanted to buy something. Thinking about the comparison the thing I hate the most about flying is cramped seating. The second thing I hate is having the darn service carts parked next to me. Spirit solved both of these bits. I just brought my own drink and all was good. I think I get nervous with that tiny plastic glass of ice and some liquid always worried it will spill. Having a bottle with a cap was actually relaxing. I usually ignore the in flight magazine. And many airlines are switching to personal device entertainment so why do I need them to provide it? All in all I ended up being impressed with Spirit even though after the baggage and seating charges I might have spent more than economy on another airline.

Unfortunately the gate area is small and two flights were delayed so the off loading and boarding involved 600 people crammed into an already small space. But it is clear that they are good with their boarding process and the gate staff were friendly and tried to keep people informed. The small space is clearly part of the cost saving strategies and under normal circumstances should work fine.

In fact we ended up driving all the way back to Atlanta only to see Delta and other airlines landing at the airport 11 hours later. Only Spirit wouldn't fly in more than a day before it effected the area. They did at least refund most of my money. I'll just never fly them again.

Nothing worst Airlines ever

The charge for a carrier on and the flight delays. The Worst ever ,

The reason why people fly is because time is limited. If I wanted to take 2 days to go home from visiting family, I would have driven. I would have saved money too.

Let the handicap get on first and wheelchair assistance I love sitting on the aisle seat very comfortable for the limp in my left side

The babies crying across the aisle from me just too busy and parents letting them get away with it that's not good for people trying to get a little shut-eye but it's all good

I like how they kept lying about a delayed flight, they did it pretty good I was actually impressed at their lying skills, all the passengers including myself actually believed the flight was delayed due to weather because that's what they where telling us until we overheard how the crew members including the pilot never showed up and they couldn't get a hold of them and that's why we couldn't depart

This is the second time I buy a spirit flight ticket, the first time they lost my 500 dollar stroller and recovered it after 3 weeks it was broke when they gave it back and they did nothing about it. The second time I didn't fly they canceled the flight because pilot was no where to be found I over heard it, they said flight was canceled due to bad weather even though other airlines where flying to the same destination at the same time.

I was so pleased that United offered the flexibility to change my flight before the chicago snowstorm without incurring a change fee.

I paid for seats on my original flight. But ended up sitting separate from my traveling companion on the new flight.

The cramped space

ORD
ATL
Mediocre 3.6

Okay 4.3

It was not a full flight so I didn’t feel cramped and had space for my carry on in the overhead compartments instead of having to check it in due to lack of space like I had to do on all the other AA flights.

We were given last minute notice our flight was going to be delayed and our gate changed 3 times. There was never a definite time frame for anything and very vague information was given. Our flight ended up being delayed almost 2 hours. It was my most frustrating experience with any airline. Definitely would not choose to fly with them again

On time departure/arrival despite weather in Atlanta. Always a fan of free messaging and choice of snacks.

Delta needs to invest in their gate area at ORD. Understand it’s not a hub but it’s a key business/leisure destination. The MD-80s are ok for a short hop but over 1 hour unless you’re in Comfort+, it’s tight.

I WAS NO TOLD ABOUT YOUR BAGGAGE FEE AND WAS VERY UPSET THAT I CHOSE TO BRING TWO BAGS WHEN I COULD HAVE JUST BROUGHT ONE BIG SUITCASE AND PAID HALF AS MUCH. IT IS OUTRAGEOUS THAT YOU MAKE PEOPLE PAY FOR THEIR CARRY ON BAGS WHEN NO OTHER DECENT AIRLINE DOES THAT. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER FLY FRONTIER AGAIN. AND THE COST IS RIDICULOUS. I CHOSE FRONTIER BECAUSE OF THE PRICE OF THE FLIGHT. BUT I LOST ALL THAT MONEY I SAVED BY PAYING FOR BAGS. AWFUL. THE STAFF I SPOKE TO WAS RUDE. EVERYONE THAT WORKS FOR FRONTIER HAS AN ATTITUDE. FLYING TO ATLANTA (BACK HOME) WAS EVEN WORSE. WE WERE ONE MINUTE FROM BOARDING THE PLANE WHEN WE WERE TOLD WE WOULD BE DELAYED FOR THREE HOURS. THREE HOURS BECAUSE THE PLANE WAS DELAYED DUE TO WEATHER IN COLORADO THAT MADE IT LATE TO HOUSTON AND THUS LATE TO CHICAGO. IT IS RIDICULOUS TO THINK THAT WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN TOLD BEFORE HAND. I WAS STUCK AT THE CHICAGO AIRPORT WITHOUT A PHONE OR ANYWAY OF TELLING MY FAMILY WHAT WAS HAPPENING. THE PERSON PICKING ME UP FROM THE ATLANTA AIRPORT ARRIVED AT THE AIRPORT AT 10:30PM WHEN I SHOULD HAVE ARRIVED HOWEVER WE HAD NOT DUE TO THE THREE HOUR DELAY. BUT THE SCREENS AT THE ATLANTA AIRPORT SAID ARRIVED. MY FRIEND THOUGHT SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENED TO ME. FRONTIER LACKS COMMUNICATION WITH OTHER AIRLINES OBVIOUSLY AND THEIR PASSENGERS SUFFER. THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. I WILL FLY DELTA OR ANY OTHER AIRLINE FROM NOW ON. I HAD TO PAY TWENTY DOLLARS TO USE A PAY PHONE THAT DID NOT GO THROUGH FROM THE CHICAGO AIRPORT. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. ALL OF THIS IS AT THE FAULT OF FRONTIER. THEN FRONTIER HAD THE NERVE TO OFFER PASSENGERS A TWENTY FIVE DOLLAR TRAVEL COUPON DUE TO THE INCONVENIENCE. THAT DOES NOT EVEN COVER THE COST OF ONE CHECKED BAG. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! FRONTIER IS A JOKE. I WILL TELL EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

This is in no way a bad relection on Frontier. Kayak sold me the tickets for a certain price and when I started to check in for my flight I had to pay additional for seats and carry on luggage. I ended up paying $102 more for two people on my one way reservation the night before the flight. Kayak should at least make their customers aware that this will happen as it is a lot of money!!!! The flight itself was on time, with a curteous and funny crew. No complains there.

Prices are per person and are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in USD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
