Cons: "I am a 5'3" 125# woman who, unfortunately, had a middle seat assignment. The passenger to my right, on the aisle, weighed approximately 375# and took up 1/3 of my seat. The arm was not able to go down comfortably, and when it did it was not usable . The passenger on my left, window seat, was probably 6'7" and had to sit with a man spread in order to fit. I could not move and was extremely uncomfortable. The plane was overbooked so I was unable to move. Therefore, worst flight ever. Plus, I paid for a full seat and was only able to occupy half of it."

I’m like, huh? Then he has the gall to tell me, “well had someone called us we could of held your seat”. That’s when I lost it. Needless to say I’m now flying to Dayton and back to Dallas. That’s in lieu of a 3:50 PM flight TOMORROW!"

This makes the cheap fair no longer the cheapest fair. 3. After running late and unable to check in online, or reach customer service, the people at the ticket counter would not ticket my flight 25 minutes before boarding and charged $100 to rebook the next day. 4. They offer no complementary drinks/snacks 5. Their seats are small, uncomfortable, and DO NOT RECLINE!"
Cons: "My 6:15 am flight was delayed getting out due to a crew member not showing up and them getting someone to sub in so our flight departed after 7am. My flight getting back was delayed as well. I don't know what the reason was but it was delayed for 45 minutes."

By the time I had the information all the flights on all the other airlines that were NOT cancelled due to nonexistent weather between Dallas and Chicago were sold out. I promise, I don't care what the fare difference is, I won't give Spirit airlines another dollar."

Cons: "The lady behind me made the flight hell, her and her rude children, I believe they should have made her bring a car seat for her missed behaved child just like the other couple did, they brought their toddler a car seat and purchased seating for him. She didn't. The way I see it for the child's safety they should force the parents in to purchasing a seat at least at half coast. Her daughter and son "toddler" kicked my seat half way to Dallas I have bad kidneys I finally turned around and addressed it, by then I was fed up since it was the second time so I have to admit I did it in a rude way. The fly attendant was very helpful she spoked to the lady who also was very rude twice and had me move seats and the girl who was sitting next to me had to pay an additional $75.00 for a better seat where she wasn't being kicked being that she as well had a bad back. I just think if the parents are trying to be cheap and avoid paying an extra seat not caring for their child's safety they should force them into it or plain simple not allow them to board... It was by far the worse experience even and I had just switched airlines from American to Spirit..."

Cons: "The cost I had to pay for my luggage $52 each way rediculous. The lack of space in the seats. Couldn't put my seat back even a little, my knees where touching the seat in front of me and I felt like the person next to me was sitting on my lap. Couldn't even get a glass of water without having to pay."

Pros: "I always have a great time flying with Spirit. When I book my flight I know that I can't carry a lot with me, so I plan for that by packing all of my belongings in a small backpack and it always works out well. Everything goes smoothly from check in to landing at my destination. The staff are all friendly and entertaining. It makes the experience much more enjoyable."

Cons: "As usual, Spirit will pimp you for high baggage fees. Paying $55 for a carry-on bag is insane."

Cons: "Seats - no recline position. I'm not claustrophobic but that flight made me feel like it. Boarding was a zoo... 3 flights from the same area. No space to stand or sit. Stewardesses walking with shoes that made loud noise and vibration every time they passed by. I was hoping to sleep during this claustrophobic and uncomfortable flight but they're loud walking woke me up 3 times. Finally, do we really need to make 15 announcements that no one cares about during the flight? Just get us there safely ... I don't need to know the weather and cruising altitude in 3 different announcements ... Also waking me up during this painful experience. Worst of all... I feel like my comments will never make a difference because you appeal to thise customers who will go through pain just to save a little on air fare. However that's not me."

Cons: "The information was not made clear. I was told that my checked bag would cost $25, but I was charged $50 for my checked bag. The plane is too compact (no room). I was under the impression that there was no charge for snacks and drinks on the plane. The announcements that the pilot made were not heard very clearly. Some of the flight attendants were rude. This is the last time that I plan to fly Spirit."

Cons: "had issues booking my seats and luggage online so was charged for help at the ticket counter by the rudest woman I'll ever remember. Paid for upgraded seat on original booking and got stuck in a smaller seat on the way back. Had a comfortable seat up front and some drunk idiot wanted to talk to me so he took the empty seat up front at take off and bugged me the whole trip. I ended up paying more for this flight than any other airline and I'd rather fly with friendlier airlines in the future."

Cons: "Spirit considers luggage a "frill." If you plan to pack anything other than a very small backpack, be ready to pay $50-$100 more. At that rate, you could fly a regular carrier with more seat space as Spirit cramps you in with tighter seats that's don't recline."
