Pros: "I purchased a ticket for my 18 year old dog $ 125.00 each way to fly with me to Kalispell and back. She is so old that she can not SEE, HEAR, or BARK any longer. I understood she needed to be under the seat for take off and landing but I was told by the ticket agent and flight attendants on my first flight that she could sit on my lap during the flight. Everything was great on the way there. On the returning flight,.... the flight attendant was so RUDE to me. She saw that after we were airborne and at a steady altitude, I brought my dog "Kacey" up into my lap. She immediately raised her voice and stated the dog needed to remain on the ground. I politely explained her condition BUT she refused to listen to anything. I put my poor old dog back under the seat. After approx 20 min I could hear her patting very loud. I lifted her again and asked a different flight attendant for some water. She was very hot on the floor. Or course, the flight attendant saw my little chihuahua drinking the water and said that after she drinks a little more, she must remain under the seat. By now, my husband is getting annoyed. He tried explaining to the flight attendant the medical needs that my dog has " she's on protein shakes" which were approved their security. and how fragile she is. She can't BARK, SEE, or HEAR. Yes, we will be putting her down soon but we took her to Montana for my daughter to say her GOODBYES!! Sorry to say, but that flight attendant has turned me away from UNITED AIR LINES forever. Feel free to call me 352-804-8344. You may send this to UNITED AIRLINES too!! Thanks Karen Hope"

Cons: "Either Frontier or the third party I purchased my ticket through on Kayak (Kiwi.com) sold me a ticket as if it were a complete flight from point A to B with a layover in between. In reality however, it was two totally separate flights which required me to go to the Frontier ticketing counter upon my arrival at my layover destination, get a ticket printed for my second flight, pay to recheck my bag a second time ($45 x2 = $90 which was total BS), go through security again (also BS) only to walk back clear to the other side of the airport where I just was. To top it all off, our flight took off late and upon arrival we didn't even have a jet bridge available. So, all of the passengers had to get off on the tarmac and wait to be bussed from wherever we were all the way to the main terminal. Then they switched the baggage claim caracul on us. What a mess. This will probably be the last time I buy a ticket on Kayak, Kiwi and possibly even Frontier."
Cons: "I was a passenger on a Frontier flight from DIA to TMA on 5/13/2018. My luggage was checked and a tag indicating the bag was to go all the way to the final destination (there was a stop in St. Paul, Minnesota) was securely placed on the suitcase. However when I arrived at the Trenton airport my bag did not. There were no Frontier airlines agents on duty so I filled out a form given to me by one of the airport staff. When I checked the Frontier website today it said to fill out a Frontier Lost and Found report. Upon doing so I received an email saying finding a lost bag could take weeks and that after a month they consider the bag permanently lost. No offer or process was provided for compensation for lost bag or the items within. This is unacceptable! I had prescription medication in my bag that's not easily refilled."

Once we finally got ready to takeoff, we had to pull in yet again because there were passengers on the plan that weren't scheduled to go to Detroit.. all of these problems are somewhat understandable, but the crew FAILED TO EMPATHIZE WITH US AT ALL. They even made smart remarks about people going to the bathroom when we pulled back in... I feel some of them acted extremely unprofessional and I truly never want to fly with this company again."

If a friend hadn't told me that I needed to check in online, I would have preferred to check in at the counter. Not knowing what baggage prior to packing, I needed to change my carry-on to a checked bag. So I looked on the Internet for a customer service telephone number, which I found, but it's the wrong number.... Very frustrating!!!! At that point, I wished that I didn't book my flight with Frontier Airlines. Then I had to pay extra money to choose a seat, pay $2.00 for a drink . I definitely know that your customer service is bare bones, and the low price for a flight comes with annoying high price to pay. I will certainly think twice before flying with Frontier Airlines again."

We doubted ourselves for a moment and almost paid for our bag, AGAIN, even though we had already done it. This payment should have shown up on our account and we should not have been asked about paying for our bag, that is confusing and misleading."

I was in the penultimate row and the people in my row needed to move to the last row. So who was I blocking from boarding? Also, the flight was extremely turbulent and not one seat in the last 4 rows had barf bags. As I deplaned, it looked as if 10-12 others did not have them either - - good luck cleaning that plane. The seats are sized for 5-yr olds. And lastly - you stick it to passengers with all the non-disclosed fees."

Then, the barcode Frontier provided on the boarding pass did not scan with the TSA. I was denied access to screening and sent back up to Frontier's desks. If it wasn't for the generosity of several people in the line, I would have had to wait another several hours before seeing an agent. The inexpensive ticket is not worth it, especially considering one must pay for a carry on. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had flying."

And the flight was delayed and the personnel didn't know what was going on and wasn't able to inform us. The online seat assignment was confusing to figure out."

The gate representative didn't keep us informed of the issues and when he did, he was usually wrong. There is a surcharge for everything from carry-on fees to beverages on the plane. The plane itself was uncomfortable with uncushioned seats. Let's just say that if I had to choose between a Frontier flight and a Delta flight that was $400 more, I will choose the Delta. Same goes with any competitor. I will never fly Frontier again."

I am in a city in which I do not live, with absolutely no clothes, toiletries, shoes etc and I have been on hold waiting to talk to someone about my missing bag for over 45 minutes. Frontier has absolutely no idea where my bag is, it is not in the place that I took off from and definitely not at my destination. This has been an absolute nightmare in which they offer you pathetic $50 to make up for the over $3500 I have in missing belongings."

Food/drink - you offer no complimentary food or snack and when you buy something, there is a screen to add a tip - seriously?"

Then at the airport, the line to get a baggage ticket wasn't that long, but it took almost 45 minutes. Every time we fly Southwest or Delta, it takes only 10 minutes to get our baggage tagged and on our way to security. I was also unpleasantly surprised that even water costs $2. Other airlines give a free drink, but Frontier charges $2. Terrible. And the seats don't recline. In summary for areas to improve: don't charge me for carry on and don't charge me for water. I will also be looking for another online venue to buy my next tickets, we thought we were going to get a great deal (round trip tickets for two people for around $680) but instead will end up paying in the neighborhood of $885. Kayak let us down big time."

Cons: "The attendant woke me up after finally finding a position slumped over the tray (read above, no reclining seats) to ask about trash because we had a water bottle he was worried about us leaving. Very rude. Plus, as we saw a youngster dropping zip bags on the ground and that family wasn'tbeing eye balled by the staff. I wanted my overhead bad that I paid extra for, over my seat or a little in front of us so we didn't have to wait for the entire plane to empty before we could get it and the same attendant tried to push out back and was argumentative about it. He was one of the worst attendants in my experience."
Pros: "They held the plane an extra 15 to 20 minutes so that I could run through the entire Denver airport to make this flight due to my initial flight coming in to Denver, we sat on the runway for over an hour once we landed"
Pros: "Seats were comfortable and I arrived safely. Grateful for these aspects of my trip."
Cons: "Employees were rude. Inaccurate information about flight times provided before and during the flight. The hidden fees were ridiculous, such as $1.99 for seltzer water. Note that you cannot pay in cash for anything. Not so unusual, but a pain for since my debit card was lost. Because flight times were inaccurate, I had no time to buy food during my layover and wasn't able to purchase food on the flight. Overall, I would NOT choose to fly Frontier Airlines again unless absolutely necessary."
Cons: "They charge for water. WATER. They charge for a carry on. The plane felt like it was going to fall apart. After an hour of turbulence, I started to feel sick but thankfully didn't have to throw up because there were no vomit bags. If you need a really cheap flight and are only bringing a purse, it would be a decent. But be prepared for rude people, discomfort, and turbulence. A misleading, unprofessional company."
Cons: "A 40 minute layover turned into a 5 hour layover in Denver. Frontier did not reimburse for the inconvenience, and sent a inadequate $50.00 coupon towards my next Frontier flight IF USED WITHIN 90 DAYS!! That was an insult, not a good faith gesture. They nickel and dime for everything, and take poor accountability for their errors."

Cons: "Pay extra for seat Resv, coffee/soda, carry on bag, check bag(cheaper than carry on), and the seats are like sitting on boards. Never again, I'll pay the extra for United or even Soutwest."

I was placed in an empty seat near the back, not the seat I paid for. Ticket agent was not helpful at all"

Cons: "Unexplained delays. Then finally someone says the pilots haven't arrived. They still decided to board us, but apparently they couldn't turn on the air until the pilots arrive, so we cook in there, not knowing how long this will go on. Finally, the pilots arrived. Air turns on, but still we wait. And wait and wait, all the while Spirit sends me a total of FOURTEEN delayed takeoff and arrival emails. As if I couldn't already get the gist sitting on the plane waiting waiting waiting. Finally, we get rolling, but never is there any acknowledgment that we've been waiting or that they're sorry for the continued delays or something nice yadayadayada. Last Spirit flight I'll take."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled with no reason given, it took almost an hour to call and get my return trip cancelled because the website would not allow me to change my flight. Representative tried to reschedule me for a 12 hour trip when the original flight was 2.5 hours before finally cancelling my trip all together. Spirit ended up costing me $150 more than had I booked with another airline at the beginning because I was left having to purchase a ticket day of on a competitor."

Cons: "The baggage prices and the fact you can't even get water without paying. When you walk up to the ticket counter and the reps don't even acknowledge you-that's just rude. At least say something. Bad experience both flights with attitudes on the ground. Flight crew was totally different."

Pros: "Good price. Staff and flight crew were courteous and efficient. This was my first time on this type of aircraft and what struck me was how wide the aisle was. It made moving around a lot easier. I found a row of open seats in the back, and the crew let me switch to that row and I was able to stretch out. That was nice."
Cons: "The seat comfort was ok for the first hour, after that I was cramping up and hurting a bit. A cross country flight would be a killer unless I switched to the good seats up front. I'm 65, so maybe that's part of the problem."
Pros: "The plane was clean and in good condition. The crew was professional. The flight was on time and ahead of schedule."
Cons: "This was my first flight with Spirit and I will avoid flying again with Spirit. Too many surprises with the extra expenses such as the seating charge, the baggage fees (especially the 40 pound limit on check in baggage which was new to me), the extra fees for not completing tasks online. It is just a nuisance to try to keep up with the next fee that will be sprung on the passenger. No more!"

Cons: "I paid more money during check in to an upgrade seat. Once on the plane, other passengers sat WHERE EVER they wanted. The staff had problems with accountability because seat numbers and ticket assignments were completely ignored. What good is a seat assignment if staff ignores the flight manifest. In the future I will no longer fly spirit because you do not value my upgrade. I feel you have unfairly taken my upgrade money only to find out that passenger's can ignore the upgrade costs and sit anywhere in the plane."

Cons: "1.Seated next to a very large man that should have bought 2 seats. I was only able to occupy 3/4 of my space. It was a very uncomfortable flight with having part of a strangers body touching and crowding me. There were no other seats available to move to. 2. When I asked for a glass of water, they do not give you, but you have to pay. 3. ALL other airlines allow a purse and a small carry-on. They charge $55.00 dollars. 4. They charge double for check in bag. $50.00, most others charge $25.00 I will not fly with Spirit again and heard other complaints from other passengers. This will be a short-lived airline."

For that price I could have taken another person with me! Next time I should just wear all my clothes I would normally pack and check nothing in! LOL!"

The majority of passengers seemed to be inexperienced flyers, maybe gravitating towards the cheap fare? VERY annoying, needy, chatty, panickey at take off and landing. Not a pleasant environment."

It's the only app I use to purchase tickets. I am now missing work and was forced to pay 100$ to get a later flight. Very disappointed."

My self and traveling partner grabbed a sandwich returned to departing gate and plane was boarded and taxing away. They left early to make up for delay but we were not warned nor did they attempt to intercom us. We were 100 yards away. We had to take a flight 24 hours later and cost me $400 in hotel and a day's work. Very disappointed"

Cons: "The Flight was delayed for 7 hours but through out the process there was no clear information when we would be able to fly. So it was hard for us to make a decision on what to do. The airplane we were supposed to ride arrived 6 hours late at 12:00am and they told us first that if we dont board by 12:30am the flight will be canceled and rushed us to the changed gate. Then told us because of inspection that the flight will leave maybe in an hour. We ended up boarding at 1:30 and the flight attendant had no regard of our situation. She made loud and unnecessary PA annoucements such as "now we will dim the lights for your comfort so you can rest well" after the plane has been in the air for 40 minutes. Just overall a terrible experience. I understand now why the price is so cheap."

There was a crying baby for a long time on the red eye and I felt they could've offered the mother some help but they didn't do anything. Then the mother tried to stand up after we had landed but before the seat belt sign had gone off and the stewardess freaked out on her. Could've handled the situation much more professionally. The seats suck, the tray tables suck, not having a complementary beverage sucks, and paying for carry on bags sucks. But that's Spirit and everyone knows that is why they suck."
