Pros: "Great customer service checkin they were very kind and patient"
Cons: "the seats are not very big"
Pros: "STAFF WAS FRIENDLY"
Cons: "SEATS ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE"
Cons: "Wasn't calling by zones, was pretty much a free for all to get on the plane."
Pros: "Great take off and landing. Very comfortable seats."
Cons: "That no snacks or beverages were provided for free"
Cons: "No food"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Canceled my flight and my buddies flight when no other airlines did. Had poor customer service. Made me spend 1500 in one way flights"
Cons: "Seats are tiny, all in flight services are for charge. However, my main complaint lies with their horrible customer service. Our flight was delaid, ultimately cancelled, and no one from the frontier staff informed us of the change, why it was cancelled, or when we would be rebooked."
Pros: "Good Fly, nice atention and good landing"
Cons: "the seats do not recline"
Pros: "The flight itself was OK considering the price."
Cons: "My luggage (and those of a few other passengers) did not arrive with me and I spent one hour for bagage claim. There was no clear reason for that: it was a direct flight and the luggage was registered two hour before the departure. However the luggage was finally delivered to my hotel the next morning."
Pros: "I liked who I sat next to."
Cons: "We had to pay for our carry on, our phones wouldn't scan for the ticket, lines were long, I had to run all the way back to print our tickets out, women working outside of the gate were so rude, no tv, thin and uncomfortable seats, just overall disappointing."
Pros: "Check in was done quickly"
Pros: "The boarding and deplaning process was very fast. Most likely this is due to the fact that it is less expensive to check a bag than to carry one on, so there were way fewer bags overhead than on a typical flight with another airline."
Cons: "Be prepared to pay if you want to eat or drink. All items are for purchase only. I don't think that my seat reclined at all (and I wasn't near an exit row), so no sleep for me on my almost three hour flight."
Pros: "FRONTIER EMPLOYEES maintained a friendly attitude despite the chaos."
Cons: "Baggage check-in had one very long line. I waited 40 minutes to simply check my bags. My two small bags were expensive to check (compared with other airlines). After all expenses there were no savings over other airlines (other airlines with better service and better jets). Frontier has NO TSA PRE CHECK PROGRAM!!! Initial flight it was a big nuisance, return flight it was even worse. The security line was at least a 2 hour wait. The Frontier flight in the gate next to us left without 25+ passengers because they were still in line at security. The flight: this was the roughest most frightening flight I've encountered. I found myself having to calm down the passenger next to me. We arrived 40 min late. Return trip: my luggage didn't appear and I had to file paperwork at the ticket desk on another floor. The 2 pieces of luggage were found and delivered to me 3 days after. Case closed. I don't mind the no-frills interior & seats that don't recline. I can bring my own snacks and beverages. But this airline disregards the value of my time."
Pros: "Saa"
Cons: "Saa"
Pros: "Cheap fare."
Cons: "The remodeled interior puts the seats closer together from front to back and don't recline. That also limits the size of the tray table, which is tiny. Even as a tiny, short person, it was uncomfortable. For anyone of normal stature it would be torture. Paying for a "better" seat appears to provide very little if any added benefit, just keeps your party together. There is no entertainment, movies, music, or wifi so bring your battery pack charger. There is only expensive junk food to eat. My only option on my coast to coast flight was a red eye. So you arrived just wiped out. So if you do this to save money, in my overall assessment, it's just not worth it. I'll never do it again."
Pros: "Crew was excellent"
Cons: "Ridiculous up charges to be sure my 7 year old and I could sit together!!! And charging to bring any luggage, carry on or not, is absurd."
Pros: "The crew members were very nice and the entire flight was fine.. baggage arrived quickly. No problems with anything."
Cons: "Hate having to pay more for seat selection, baggage and refreshments. Will never fly frontier again for these reasons."
Pros: "overall it was good."
Cons: "I HATE the bag fees"
Pros: "Boarding was fast. The only slightly negative I noticed was the window was very dirty on the inside and the seat back in front of me was too."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 2 hours, and they didn't even offer coffee or refreshment on the plane as compensation for our delay since we missed our dinner with our loved ones."
Pros: "Very nice crew. Smooth boarding - quick and efficient."
Cons: "Seats very uncomfortable."
Pros: "Know what to expect and you will not be disappointed. If you demand a high end experience from any low end company ... you're behaving like an idiot."
Cons: "Rough ride"
Pros: "The crew was great. We flew into some particularly bad weather and the cockpit crew did an excellent job landing the airplane. Some passengers even applauded once we were safely on the ground. The fair was - reasonable. The plane appeared to be new-ish and was pretty clean."
Cons: "A fee for EVERYTHING. I think I knew Frontier charged for everything but forgot when making my last minute reservation to see my ailing father. When it was time to check in on-line, it appeared every seat was either considered a premium seat or was not available. Middle seats and seats near the lav were considered premium. And the fee was either $20 or $35. I elected not to pay for a premium seat and took my chances that I would actually get a seat when I checked in at the counter. I believe they also charge for soda."
Pros: "took off early and arrived early to destination"
Cons: "what i stated and flight very rough"
Pros: "clean comfortable flight"
Cons: "need TSA pre check!!!"
Pros: "All the crew and do tier employees I interacted with where very friendly and curious! I had a broken leg and they made sure that I was taken care of"
Cons: "The seats we're very hard... No leg room at all (even in the stretch seating area. I was not offered any complimentary snacks or drinks."
Pros: "I liked the fares but then you had to pay to book seats, baggage, and not even a complementary soda. It is a shame that you have to pay to have a soda while in flight. On the way there we got to load first due to my husband's handicapp."
Cons: "All the other fees that then don't make the flight a great deal. On the way back from Orlando my husband was not able to get a wheelchair and we asked 4 times to get one."
Pros: "Seats sucked, no entertainment or WiFi, but I would do it again for the price"
Pros: "The crew was amazing! They even let my 7yo daughter take a photo in the cockpit with the pilot. Thumbs up Frontier."
Pros: "Everything went smoothly. Leg room better than many others."
Cons: "Seats are stiff. I was sitting in 4c."
Pros: "The flight was comfortable and on time. My ears pop really bad and flights, my first flight from Detroit to Orlando was not too bad and the flight back from Orlando to Detroit, the planes pressure was actually really good"
Cons: "I am 6 foot 8 inches tall. I was really disappointed to find out that I had to pay another $50 per person each way to sit in the larger seats. This raised the cost of the flights from $200-$400 For my wife and I to sit together. That was not an optional expense because the seats are so small that my legs were too long and it was not simply uncomfortable. I did not fit in the way of legroom. There should have been some information explaining this while I was booking the flights"
Pros: "Flight was on time and staff were friendly."
Cons: "Was not aware that I would have to pay for baggage until trying to do online check-in. Very expensive...and who charges for a carry-on?? Tray tables were a joke - you couldn't fit anything on them. And you had to pay for drinks and snacks. Felt like I was being nickle and dimed which left a sour taste in my mouth."
Pros: "flying time"
Cons: "Bait and switch routine on the price I paid. I had to pay extra for each seat and ridiculous baggage fees. Way to unbundle and rip off the consumer..."
Cons: "I've used Frontier twice. Once for Thanksgiving week and once for Christmas week. Both times I had to wait 40-45 minutes to get my bag. The first time, the belt stopped working after already sitting and waiting 20 minutes for the the luggage to come to baggage claim. So myself and a large number of people had to wait an extra 20 minutes before someone decided to switch the our bags to a different belt. The second time there was no malfunction. Literally the entire plane and myself, who checked a bag, waited a total of 45 minutes before the first luggage appeared. Because I'm a considerate person, I prefer that my ride doesn't get a ticket or their vehicle towed for waiting outside for an extra 20-30 minutes or they waste their gas by circling around the airport until I finally say, "I have my bag." Mind you, this only seems to happen when I'm arriving to Orlando. I probably will be avoiding Frontier Airlines when picking my next flight."
Cons: "5 hours delay"
Pros: "The cost, the ease of booking, everyone was extremely nice. The 'Pilot' or who ever keeps us updated on flying & weather conditions had a great sense of humor and kept us entertained. The plane was clean & looked brand new. It was cheaper and easier to check a bag than mess with a carry on, if you set it up when you purchase your tickets. I had purchased a soda before boarding but the gave me a glass of ice at no charge (some places charge for the cup). No extra cost for seating unless you want a specific seat. We definitely plan on flying more & recommending it to family & friends. Plus it's cheaper than driving"
Cons: "Tight quarters, the seats are pretty much fitted, prob not very comfortable for above average size individuals."
Cons: "The lost our bags after they charged us for them. 10 other people also lost their bags"
Pros: "The crew was hilarious. Very professional and pleasant"
Cons: "Screaming child! No fault of Frontier."
Pros: "That i landed safely, that's always a positive and will always get you kudos in my book. Crew was nice & friendly."
Cons: "Well there were many, but first off: the seats didn't recline & thin as card board, I had to pay for everything, I wasn't made aware that I'd have to pay for even my carry on baggage, I could see that I'd have to pay maybe for the snacks & drinks, but carry-on?? That was seriously lame. Also, no Wi-Fi, in this day, you've got to have Wi-Fi, drop the carry-on charge and I'm sure folks will gladly pay for internet on the plane."
Pros: "Left and arrived on-time."
Pros: "Everything was great! Not sure why everyone else had so many issues : / As far as people being charged for carry on bags, they just didn't read all the details, but that's not the fault of the airlines. My crew was fun and helpful, although I didn't need anything. I would fly with Frontier again!"
Cons: "Quick easy stress free"
Cons: "Everything is charged, and the airline appears to me as greedy and exploitative. The price for the trip does not include carry-on. I admit that not knowing the policy is my fault. But the policy is quite odd, and I feel as if I were cheated. The receptionist at the counter was rude to me. I have never had such a bad experience with an airline. Anyway, the plane landed safely, after horrible ups and downs (perhaps due to the conditions of the destination?) Thank you for your service. I just think that your manner is ugly."
Pros: "Everything was very timely. This was my first time flying on Frontier and some friends had warned me to expect delays. But everything went exactly as scheduled, which was great. Leg room was pretty decent, to my surprise."
Cons: "The seats are somewhat uncomfortable and the tray tables are so small they are useless. No free drinks or anything at all. I at least got a cup of water on the flight out, but was offered nothing at all on the flight back. You get charged for EITHER carrying on or checking bags, which I knew beforehand, so I can't really complain about that...it's pretty ridiculous though. Everyone is going to bring a bag SOMEhow, so why not include one of them??"
Cons: "Need: better menu options, more comfortable seats, better sized tray tables, $30 for a carry-on is ridiculous"
Pros: "I liked that I landed safely to my destinations, but thats about it."
Cons: "1) The cost of the carry-on/checked bag. They do not notify you in any way that there are charges for either of these. There is no incentive to bring a carry-on as it is more expensive. The company also doesn't let you know you can get a discounted price if you check your bag online. 2) I wasn't ever sent a 24 hour check in, so I wasn't even offered the deal to check my bag online to get a discount 3) When I tweeted about my disappointment with the hidden baggage fee, I was rudely tweeted back "Correction, it's not that expensive, it's $30 if you check in early" which i was never offered. 4) In my 2 hour flight the attendants didn't even offer drinks until halfway through the flight. 5) I had difficulties making it to the airport an hour and a half before my flight but still made it within an hour. The lady that checked me in told me that I was late, they were going to charge me a fee, and they wouldn't hold the plane for me but i should try and make it there any way. She even wrote "don't hold" on my ticket. I thought i was going to be the last one on the plane the way she scolded me and I ended up being the first of 15 people after me that were running even later than me. Overall, this airline tries to make people feel like they are getting a great discount but after the fees and the rude customer service I am never flying this company again."
Pros: "Agents nice and friendly"
Cons: "Seats don’t recline. Have to purchase everything. No complimentary anything and could eat even get a cup of water. Had to buy it. Checked bags are 40.00 online and 65 at gate Only one personal item can be brought on unless you are zone one. Also have to pay for seats ahead of time :("
Pros: "Quick and easy. First leg of trip had a plane that was spacious and clean."
Cons: "First leg of trip had delays, the tug cart ran out of power and we had to wait for another to come back the plane up, then a passenger had a medical emergency and we had to taxi back to the gate to offload the passenger. The company charges for everything so the ticket comes out to being the same as any other airline."
Cons: "Children (3 within the age of 8-12)unattended left to pull on and kick the seat in front of them, loud arguing that was never addressed. My hair was pulled several times when they would grab the top of the seat to stand up or just harassing each other. I also witnessed them on cell phones that were not in airplane mode and never once did their parent reprimand them for their behavior. I had to do this from the seat in front of them. When the flight landed the entire family talked loudly about pushing their way off the plane to get to another flight, little did they know others had connecting flights to reach as well. Poor behavior & left to make others have a worse flight"
Cons: "They charged us an arm and a leg for our carry on!"
Pros: "Friendly & humorous crew. Pleasant flight overall. Loved the in flight surprise."
Cons: "Water should be available for free."
Cons: "3 hours delay"
Pros: "Friendly crew. Friendly passengers!"
Cons: "Spirit is different. I wasnt aware what i was booking. Now i know: 52 bucks for a checked bag! Food and drinks are extra- even water! No movies Uncomfortable seats."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "I live 2 hours from the airport. I was alerted that my flight was delayed by 3 hours. I checked in online, printed boarding passes, and made alternate plans to get to the airport based on this information. When I checked updates before I left for airport, I found that the flight had been rescheduled close to the original time. I then did not have enough time to get the airport to make my flight. I missed a funeral because of this. The 19 emails I received (in order): #1 Delayed departure, #2 Delayed departure, #3 Delayed departure, #4 Delayed departure, #5 Gate update, #6 Gate update, #7 Gate update, #8 Gate update, #9 Back on time, #10 Back on time, #11 Delayed departure, #12 Delayed departure, #13 Gate update, #14 Gate update, #15 Delayed departure, #16 Delayed departure, #17 Departure,"
Pros: "Nothing to be honest. Spirit was an extremely awful airline. They cancelled our flight after several delays because the pilots didn't show up. If you tried to call in, you would wait two hours with customer service and just get transferred again. While waiting in line and on hold with customer service, they would not give us a flight until the next day. We were supposed to be in Las Vegas at 12:00 pm Thursday and they offered us a flight on Friday at 7:00 pm stating this is the best they could do. We had to book with Delta on the red eye that night to get to Las Vegas. Spirit would not compensate us and we our out $560, plus all of the events we booked Thursday."
Cons: "Nothing to be honest. Spirit was an extremely awful airline. They cancelled our flight after several delays because the pilots didn't show up. Cons: "They canceled the flight . I think that fact is explanatory per se"
Pros: "Prompt, took off on time. Seat was excellent."
Cons: "Nothing comes to mind"
Pros: "The whole experience was absolutely wonderful. I will fly spirit as often as I can for the destinations I fly to. Great service, and very importantly to me, very good to active duty military and veterans. Big thumbs up!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The flight was delayed I missed my next flight and had to sit at the airport for 14 hrs"
Pros: "Price"
Cons: "They charge for everything and don't allow you to pay for bags when you purchase but if they aren't paid for when you purchase then you pay more. The customer service reps constantly try to upsell."
Pros: "The flight attendants were really nice"
Cons: "The flight attendants were incoherent on the flight back"
Cons: "First, when I booked I was not given option to pay for baggage or choose seats, meaning I wasn't able to use the cheapest option. I had to spend at least 2 hours on the phone with a Spirit agent to get to pay for my bags before arriving at the airport at all - I wasn't able to do it online. On day of flight: the first leg was delayed. When we got to layover our final flight had been cancelled with no reason given. We were booked on another flight 8 hours later which meant we got in late enough that I had to miss another day of work. The Spirit agent at the gate in Las Vegas was also extremely rude. I also didn't get any phone or email updates."
Pros: "I was easily able to upgrade my seat prior to flight."
Cons: "They charge for a carry on bag, charge more for checked luggage than any other airlines, charge you if your bag is over 40 lbs (not 50 lbs like all other airlines), they don't provide any complimentary snacks/drinks on plane. Flight attendants all had a flat affect and looked liked they hated their job on both my flights. On departure flight it took over 30 mins to get luggage to the carousel. Will never fly spirit again."
Pros: "Nothing at all. All of the general staff was horrible and I dare say ghetto."
Cons: "The flights policies. The staff. When I got there I went to check in to a kiosk, it read arrow and directed me to the airline desk. There I was.charged $55 to carry on my bag. The plan was to check in and pay for my bag at the kiosk which would have been $21 instead of $55. For their troubles, I supposed. What a rip off. Then on my boarding pass they put 0 bags where I was then asked for $100 fee to check my carry on at the gate. Why would they put 0 bags?!?! Thank God I had my receipt with me and I dodged that extra expense. The staff was so rude. Worst flight experience of my life! They make TSA look great."
Pros: "Quick boarding. No frills airline. Want a cheap seat and dont care about other things like reclining chairs then this is the airline for you. Everything besides a small personal backpack costs money. Want to bring your normal carry-on thats $55. Want food or drink thatll cost extra. No entertainment."
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "Nothing bad service all the way"
Cons: "Miss info paying for my bag 55 $ 18 $extra for my seat"
Pros: "I liked the VFW lounge and the free amenities for us veterans"
Cons: "Everything els, horrible everything..will never fly Spirit again"
Pros: "Crew was super funny with explanation of preflight instructions"
Cons: "No free drinks food"
Cons: "Dirty seat pocket. Plane is just dirty. Too cramped for a six foot man like myself."
Pros: "flight on time , crew ok , plane ok"
Cons: "the only thing to upset me was the robbery of luggage fee ...for a small cabin size I paid 55$ and that took all my appetite to use your airline again...why should I fly with you and pay more with game words...declared price 130$ and 55$ for 1 small cabin bag...thanks I won't have that experience again for sure"
Pros: "The only thing I enjoyed was the economy class seating which gave a little more leg room, however the seats don't recline."
Cons: "I flew from Philly to Las Vegas and then Las Vegas to Atlanta to Philly on the way back. Each time the flights were delayed due to the previous connecting flights inability to be on time. At the airport the gate staff did not give updates for the airline departure. Once aboard the aircraft, the flight crew were loudly carrying on for the entire flight giving little regard for those around them especially since one flight was a redeye flight. I will not be flying this airline again."
Pros: "Flight was on-time, boarding was early."
Cons: "Tiny seats - ok since I am short but would be rough for a tall person"
Pros: "Great customer service from Airport Personnel"
Cons: "Luggage fees, extremely uncomfortable seats, In flight fees and no interest in assisting with basic needs as simple as water"
Pros: "The plane was clean."
Cons: "Delayed flight. Lack of delay update posted on airport flight tv monitors. Spirit employees at check-in counter were not pleasant or too helpful. Would not help with simple requests, such as, throwing baggage claim slip away. Website confusing to check bag."
Cons: "Was supposed to arrive in New York Monday evening. My flight was cancelled once I got to Detroit because of weather over New York. The staff was blatantly rude and unhelpful. They also told me I wouldn't be able to get another flight to New York until the following Thursday. They didnt offered any vouchers for food or hotel. I eventually I had to rent a van with four strangers and drive 11 hours at 11:45 pm to avoid paying what would have easily been a thousand dollars in hotel fares and food for 3 days. They also told me they would refund part of my flight cost when I was in like for two hours, then denied saying that on the phone later that day."
Cons: "It was so cold on the flight, that I couldn't even just relax and enjoy it. I was so uncomfortable the entire time because it was freezing..."
Pros: "The best part was the low fare I found through kayak for a one-way trip from Vegas to San Diego."
Cons: "I didn't like the people sitting behind me and the older gentleman flight attendant had a sense of humor that was a bit off-putting for me personally. Maybe others enjoyed it, but not my cup of tea! The flight was initially delayed upon arrival by at least 30 - 40 minutes. No assistance to be found at the gate. Then an additional 20 or so minutes delay after all had been seated for two passengers, one of whom could barely walk straight. These two kept the entire plane waiting only to get off before take off. REALLY?? What a cluster. Will not be flying Spirit again."
Pros: "The planes are new so there's that."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours due to leaky breaks and they didn't have the air on so we all sweat to death until someone decided to flip the ac switch 2 hours in. The tickets are so cheap cause you have to pay for eeeeeeeeeeeverything! You have to pay for a carry-on, a drink, to have the service desk check you in, etc. I'm surprised they don't have a coin-lock on the bathrooms or individual oxygen masks that they charge you for."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "2 hour delay, so had to jump on SW flight to make my meeting."
Pros: "The plane left on time and arrived on time. he price was reasonable for no frills. Will travel with Spirit in future."
Pros: "Creating my own itinerary through a 3rd-party (Kayak) online reservation agent, I was unaware of the $52 add-on baggage fee. And when I tried to use the electronic kiosk to check in, it was not functioning properly. Although it not just Spirit Airlines, but I feel as though these additional fees aren't spelled out to the consumer well enough and therefore are somewhat disingenuous in their relationships with their customers."
Pros: "Friendly stewardess"
Cons: "The chairs are low budget seats cushions are thin with and the leg room is limited which makes the ride very uncomfortable. I travel with various airlines and this was my 1st time traveling with spirit. This is by far my most uncomfortable plane ride with any airline. The cost for all beverages Is another concern. It is practically a potential health concern for a customer flying 2 hours or more to not have at least water provided for free. The credit card only for beverage payment also is a inconvenience for a small purchase that could easily be settle with cash. In closing, I feel this company is a prime example of producing poor service when the airline try to cut cost then capitalize on every single accommodation at the complete expense and inconvenience of the customers."
Pros: "Everything people say about Spirit is true... you get what you pay for...and then more payments on top of that...."
Pros: "Nothing, prices were not even that cheap and after bag fees and other hidden fees it was a complete scam"
Cons: "Everything. Seats don't recline. No water. Bad staff. Terrible pricing strategy"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything"
Cons: "Late boarding due to delays from previous flight."
Pros: "Well we landed in our destination so that was good"
Cons: "- gave me the wrong ticket at checkin - armed guards boarded the plane and removed a passenger - We then had to deplane and rescan - Bumpy ride and terrible seats - 100 bucks if you need to check a bag at the gate"
Cons: "Boarding, food? that's funny!"
Pros: "Extremely low price and waived baggage fees for active duty military made our first Spirit flight wonderful. Attendants were friendly once on board."
Cons: "Downfalls were limited legroom, the baggage check line at DTW took over an hour and many kiosks were broken and could not print boarding passes."
Cons: "My flight to Philadelphia due to "weather." No notice, no effort to place us on another flight. Typical Spirit which is why I try to avoid flying with them whenevet possible. My mistake."
Pros: "Ticket prices, Crews very Open friendly altitude."
Pros: "The most memorable was the cute stretching exercise the stewardess had us do at landing. We all got a good laugh. I enjoyed my trip back home. The Captain kept us informed of things alone the way...(I haven't heard that being done in a while) I was happy that has started back up, and he got us there early. I love flying Spirit."
Cons: "How sooooo many seats have become a price to pay now to sit on the plane, and they don't even recline."
Cons: "I was charged $10 twice for my bag and $10 for my seat, going and coming, since it wasn't a non stop. What a rip off. I had to get off the plane and get back on the plane and sit in the same seat and be charged another $10. NOT A GOOD way to treat customers if you want them to return."
Cons: "It was not clearly conveyed when purchasing the ticket that baggage fees were not included in the base price. Thus, we not only had to pay to check 2 bags and 2 carry-ons for 170$, we also had to pay an extra 100$ because our checked bags were "overweight" at 50lbs (they only accept 40lbs bags) - and this was only ONE WAY. We will have to pay that $270 on our return flight as well. Ultimately our baggage fees cost us 4X more than our two ticket fares combined! Now I wouldn't call that a "bargain" by any means - we could have gotten two first-class tickets on delta for the total amount we ended up paying. We will never fly spirit again and will ultimately think twice when booking through kayak. What a bummer."
Pros: "It was a good flight except there isn't much leg room on your planes and it would be nice to recline a little. Also, the charge for carry-ons is excessive and makes other airlines more appealing."
Pros: "My flight was delayed. Then once we were seated and the door was closed we sat on the runway for at least 35 min."
Cons: "My flight was delayed. Then once we were seated and the door was closed we sat on the runway for at least 35 min. I also find it ridiculous that in order to pick any seat even if it's in the back of the plane ..u have to pay additionally."
