Cons: The check in process for Delta was a chaotic mess. There was no one to assist passengers, lines were crazy long. I overheard so many people complaining about missing flights and they could not get any help. I also think the amount Delta charges for luggage was insane.Read more about Delta

Pros: The cabin was clean and the crew was friendly.
Cons: Better snacks. Chips or mini cheese platter
Pros: Aircraft clean and crew very personable. It was the second day that refreshments had begun to be served again onboard.
Cons: Tough to understand the gate agent announcements.
Pros: Very comfortable
Pros: Excellent crew.
Cons: Gate agents were a little snippy.
Pros: Amazing crew
Pros: Not one of my good experiences with Delta. Two hours delay in the flight
Cons: Information on the flight delay as communication was. at least very poor. Also A 220 was ok but First Class was so so
Pros: See previous comments
Cons: See previous comments
Cons: Delayed and did not explain why
Pros: newish aircraft, delta cabin beats other legacy carriers
Cons: gate announcements
Pros: There were a few hiccups with the overall flight process, but the crew was very friendly and informed everyone in a timely manner of the situation. There were also good snacks. Also, flexible baggage policy, which was great.
Cons: The boarding situation is odd and less organized or structured than any of the other airlines I've flown with.
Cons: No AC for an hour before takeoff - very uncomfortable. Audio for tv did not work.
Cons: Flight was delayed and completely packed so our family could not get seats together
Pros: Got to Houston on time
Cons: WiFi that I paid for on Delta didn't work, flight was delayed at take off due to waiting for restroom supplies; lead flight attendant had a major accent and was difficult to understand. She also stated to keep my mother's walker outside the plane when entering the plane
Cons: Wifi was not working
Cons: Delayed 4 hours at LAX and even though we made it to the gate to fly out on our connecting flight they had given our tickets away and booked us on a flight 5 hrs later. They told us our bags would be transferred. They werent and now both my daughter and i are starting out a dream vacation with no l
Pros: The two stewardesses were awesome helping me to reschedule possible connecting flight due to leaving mdt 2 hours late
Cons: The gate agents were extremely slow causing the flight to pull from the gate 28 minutes late. The capitan of the plane needs a course on how to be polite to an upset customer
Cons: Old plane, long delay, sketchy WiFi.
Pros: Excellent hospitality I asked for a cup of coffee at an odd time, the attendant went out of his way to brew fresh pot and served me, instead of just saying "Sorry sir, we don't have any coffee at this time...."
Pros: Delta was OK
Cons: Lack of attention by the fly stuard in Virgin Australia Virgin had a 45´delay
Pros: Friendliness of flight attendants
Cons: I wasn't awake long enough to find fault
Pros: Nicest staff
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: The crew was good
Cons: The flight was incredibly uncomfortable. The Delta team in Houston was not very pleasant.
Pros: Food and service was nice
Cons: Very long route to my final destination
Pros: the flight was quick and it was fine. flight crew was polite and professional.
Cons: i didn’t like that my knees were in the row in front of me, and we hit some pretty scary bumps. i get really anxious about turbulence.
Pros: Crew was fantastic and very helpful.
Cons: Not sure who was in charge of loading the plane with food for purchase, but they forgot it all entirely. The crew was kind enough to give extra snacks. Kinda curious how you forgot to load a plane with food for purchase and how did the crew not notice in advance? I would think that is one of their checks of the cabin. Not mention who ever signed off saying they filled the plane with food for purchase lied. Very frustrating not only for the crew but for the passengers.
Pros: Fast boarding and complimentary snacks.
Cons: I was seated next to a very large woman who came over the arm rest onto my seat.
Cons: I couldn’t watch a movie and I couldn’t fall asleep because the the person in front of me had a light on.
Pros: From the gate agent to the in-flight crew and pilot, totally impressed and pleased with their attention to detail and care of the passengers.
Cons: Nothing to asd
Pros: The kind bars
Cons: The crew at he gate seem to hate their job. I went to get a claim ticket for my stroller and I felt like I had asked for something wrong.
Pros: Boarding and staff were excellent. Plane was clean.
Cons: I was unhappy with the seating arrangements. I could not upgrade my seats because I booked through a third party. If I’m willing to pay for my upgrade then it should be allowable. I don’t like seating in the rear of the plane!
Pros: CVG isn't a huge airport, but it has a good amount of things to keep you entertained/well fed.
Cons: CVG security line isn't terrible, but there seemingly is ALWAYS a decent wait. When a flight is full, like this one, it's never very comfortable – even a short flight.
Cons: 1 hour delay, no explanation, no weather problems, late for my meeting in Houston.
Pros: The gate agent and cabin crew handled passenger's misery with friendly grace and professionalism. Also, it was an old plane and so the seats, even in coach, were comfortable.
Cons: Plane was around 45 minutes late in arriving at our Minneapolis gate. Flight was further delayed by something (unspecified) being "frozen." WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin.
Pros: Quick flight, great landing and takeoff.
Cons: Everything was great today.
Cons: My suitcase was ruined.
Pros: Friendly, helpful, kind, confident and easy going flight attendants really made this flight stand out. The seats in economy were comfy and new; the touch screen Tvs were updated and functioned properly. The snacks were healthier. Way to go, Delta! Keep it up!
Pros: boarding process was good food was okay not great not bad entertainment was good flight attendants and service excellent
Cons: food could have been better but arriving to destination safely is most important
Pros: Could not use the bathroom
Pros: The crew had the most amazing attitude. Very friendly. It really makes a big difference. Seemed like the positive attitude was contagious. Thanks to them.
Cons: The seats were entirely too close. Not enough legroom. Legroom was easily two inches less than typical. I am 6'4" and I could not get my knees to go behind the seat in front of me. I had one knee in the aisle and the other between the two seats in front of me. I know I'm taller than average, but I don't think I'm asking too much. Just want to be able to sit normally.
Cons: Delayed by an hour!
Cons: Late taking off, and then unable to get to gate on arrival
Pros: I was delayed coming from an international flight and was so thankful for the help from delta at the counter and at the gate. I did lose my bag but that was my fault in the confusion of jfk. I got my bag in 2 days.
Cons: When i got my bag back the handle wouldn't go down fully. Baggage handlers must've mishandled it and bent something.
Pros: Like the online check in and advanced seat assignment
Cons: It's only a 45 min flight so no ptoblems
Pros: On time Clean airplane Smooth ride Friendly staff
Pros: Upgraded to first class so had more room, nicer seats. No lines at TSA, had the first gate past security so a short walk. Nice shopping and food choices.
Cons: No meal served on flight, only drinks and cookies / popcorn. No entertainment at all. You have to provide your own device. There was wifi but not free, it was so slow I couldn't download the entertainment app, so I gave up and slept. No access to Delta lounge with domestic first class WTF?
Pros: Finally got me home
Cons: Delayed, no updates,
Pros: Boarding process was smooth
Cons: Allowed people to deplane while waiting. Sitting on a plane during a two + hour delay is the stupidest thing ever.
Cons: Both flights were overbooked. Social distancing doesn’t apply to American Airlines.
Cons: The gate was occupied when we landed on schedule.
Pros: They were nice. They listened
Cons: No screaming children
Pros: Seats were ok
Cons: The flight sat on the ground well over an hour after landing. No gate was available. Many missed their connections. Miserable.
Pros: All employees were awesome.
Cons: I have no complaints.
Pros: Average crew. The seat became comfortable after complaining that the one I requested was not noted on passenger request or should I say begging for the request.
Cons: Listen to the passenger.
Pros: Boarding was quick
Cons: Power in the airplane to charge phones. A form of entertainment would have been nice
Pros: The connecting BA flight from Houston to LHR was an old 747 and my broken window blind didn’t go down. The worst part was I paid for a bulkhead seat and once we got on the plane it turned out the configuration was different and the seat was not bulkhead.
Cons: Accurate configuration. A more modern plane.
Pros: Crew was ok. The basics. No issues.
Cons: WiFi and better entertainment
Cons: The crew was not friendly. Rude tone.
Cons: Because of 12 hr between original flight and this flight, we drive
Pros: Only thing that was good was tail wind.
Cons: The plane was so small and tight. And they sat me next to 260lbs x football player in this tiny plane. Not really your fault but a plane that size is just too small esp when your neighbor is double your size.
Pros: Everything was good. Bear in mind flight was under 1 hour and I slept the whole time.
Cons: My original flight was delayed then we had to spend the night in Dallas.
Pros: Crew members. After a long time I got to see some friendly cabin crew members.
Cons: Boarding was little delayed. But that's alright.
Pros: Once aboard, LATAM is actually quite impressive. The logistical part of the company is horrendous, but the service onboard is exemplar.
Cons: LATAM changed my itinerary without my authorization and despite my clear verbal directions to NOT change it. The airline took directions from a corrupt official with the Colombian immigration office and cancelled my return flights. I was forced to purchase an additional ticket, travel on and separate flight from my wife and children. I then had to spend several hours waiting to resolve the case in person. The customer service at LATAM is a joke. If I'd received this treatment in the United States, I would have filed a lawsuit for their infringement on my rights and collaboration with the discriminatory practices of the Colombian immigration office in Bogota.
Pros: Flight was smooth
Cons: This was my final connection from a long flight, we did a line to check in and get our boarding passes, when we got to the gate I found out I didn’t have a seat number asigned but husband did, they gave me one there but of course it was not next to my husband, it was the last seat available at the end next to restroom. The smell coming out from the it was so disgusting even before th first person went in, they should do something to improve the cleaness in the restroom between flights. It would probably take them 30 more minutes to do so, and I would not mind waiting for it even if this was my final flight after 15+ hours.
Cons: AA lost put my checked baggage onto a different flight during my layover in Philly to my final destination. After losing my baggage, it took them over 24 hours to return it to me, telling me that it would only be "another hour" till they would deliver it to my house. No airline is perfect, but I don't like being lied to about my baggage not being transferred properly to my final flight, nor do appreciate how they kept giving me vague estimates and round-a-bout answers about my checked bag which they lost in the first place. If I can help it, I will never fly with American Airlines again; they have lost my business!
Pros: Being able to check flight progress while in the air.
Cons: We did not appreciate the game of needing to pay for seat selection after having already paid for tickets. We were not provided with TSA-PRE despite providing our known traveler numbers in advance. Boarding selection protocol seemed opaque, complex, and geared towards inviting us to pay extra for priority boarding. Before boarding the plane, we were not able to find out whether any food would be served and the extent of what might be provided. After getting on board, we were offered the chance to buy food. The complementary food was a cookie and a few ounces of soda or juice. Movies were available, but not headphones for listening to them. Leg space under the seat in front of us was reduced to make room for life vests.
Pros: Bad bad
Cons: Bad bad
Cons: Delayed, old aircraft, no food, no entertainment
Pros: Not much, the flight attendants were fine
Cons: They boarded the plane for the ‘on-time departure’ scam, then proceeded to do maintenance for 30 minutes, then when you think your on your way we wait another 15 minutes for takeoff. We spent more time sitting still than we did in motion. Horrible.
Cons: Delayed 2hrs
Cons: The crew waited until we where onboard about to leave to defrost the wings, making us 50 min late. Half of the plane missed their connecting flights
Pros: Everything about the flight
Cons: I'm not a large man. I shouldn't need to fold my arms to keep from bumping into and intruding on my neighbors.
Pros: Timely and comfortable flight!
Cons: No tv. Small aircraft.
Cons: Flight delayed
Cons: Boarding was delayed 30 minutes, with no explanation. Upon arrival, another airplane was in our gate, resulting in an additional 30 minute wait, buckled in my seat on the tarmac.
Pros: It was a small plane so I didn't expect much. The attendants were a little disconnected for it being a three hour flight.
Pros: Fast boarding.
Cons: Slow on return of gate checked bags. A little late in getting off the ground.
Cons: When the flight was on time, we learned it was overbooked. Agents stated that if people would not willingly accept their offer to fly at a later time random people would be denied boarding. This was a stressful element as there was no other flight that could make me arrive on time. Plus, threatening to deny boarding to paying customers for airline related overbooking does not seem like a fair or good business practice. Then there were mechanical issue with the plane. After waiting over an hour for repairs they realized they needed a new air craft. This further delayed the flight. Not only was the flight extremely delayed at this pint but throughout the waiting time we were given very little information and were constantly told they couldn't give us an approximate time of departure. This was extremely rude and makes the experience of dealing with a delay even worse. I would suggest giving us more information about what is happening. Saying we don't know when the flight will leave is just unacceptable. To make matters even worse after we were finally boarded we had to wait an additional 40 minutes sitting inside the plane while they boarded refreshments! I know there are delays in flights but this same thing happened to my flight on my way to Paris and it caused me to miss my international connection and had to be re-routed.
Cons: Average airline compared to Singapore & MZ airlines
Pros: Poor service They had a severely overweight person sitting next to me. She was struggling putting on her seat belt for a few minutes. I was very uncomfortable in my seat. The flight attendant was walking around withh seat belt extenders ; why are you accommodating severely overweight customers at the expense of others?
Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: Cabin was cold and no blankets available.
Pros: Everythinf was great, First time flying with them and I would do it again.
Pros: Nothing exceptional
Cons: Change fees are ludicrous. Also flight was late.
Pros: No much
Cons: What poor services all round. The check in staff where on the phone or talk to themselves. No one even spoke to me at checkin. Then the boarding staff were so rude, they act like they own the plane and they are god. They would not answer anyone questions and just pointed at the screen. The airplane staff hello at least. But the food very so bad, even easyjet has better food. Also their understanding for the english was so poor but the air stewardess told me " we speak American" !!!!
Pros: The seats in this flight were quite roomy.
Cons: Delayed and canceled flights with no apologies or explanations, rude crews who scoffed at complaints or requests of other passengers, lost baggage that took hours to recover, again without apology....I would rather pay a bit more than fly with American again, at least until these memories fade a bit.
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: I have no complaints
Cons: When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company.
Cons: Paying extra for seating
Pros: The crew was professional.
Pros: Amazing crew!
Cons: Keep traveler's updated on delays.
Pros: Smooth flight
Cons: More room on plane. Seats are very close together
Cons: Flight delayed
Pros: The space in economy plus. But the crew making sure we had room due to social distancing the best they could with what space they had to work with on the plane.
Pros: MUCH BETTER experience than our American Airlines flight when we left last week. More friendly people.
Pros: The crew was very nice and professional. The flight arrived early and that was great.
Cons: It was a bit overcrowded and the internet was a bit spotty
Pros: I like that I was finally able to come home
Cons: The United Airlines reps could have shown some empathy to the passengers who were delayed. The arline knew we had connecting flights and could've alerted the other flight that we were there and to wait on us. The connecting flight was scheduled to leave at 9:50. I arrived at the gate at 9:49 only to find that the flight had not only boarded but had already left. The reps at the counter showed no level of empathy and acted put out when asked to provide transportation to the reassigned gate. Lastly, the flight could've offered something more than a $10 food voucher, especially since the majority of the food in the airport is greater than $10.
Cons: Higher Priced seating was left empty and people were not spaced properly in the cheap seats in the back despite the extra room on board at takeoff.
Pros: Great value
Cons: The seats weren't very comfortable, but I could make due.
Cons: there was no flight. pay attention, kayak.
Cons: More space on the flight
Pros: Was able to get an Economy Plus seat, which is nice - great legroom for an almost 6' tall person and power plug is very handy. Entertainment & screens on the 787 is very good. Regular distributions of water was very helpful since I wasn't able to fill up my bottle before getting on the flight.
Cons: Not a great amount of food available, and one of the larger cabin crew members kept brushing my arm as she walked past, which didn't help me get any sleep.
Pros: Came close to missing flight because of gate delay because of connecting flight, but one of the flight attendants saw I was flustered and sweaty and gave me a cup of water before the flight even took off. Very thoughtful and nice.
Cons: On time departure. A comfortable seat.
Pros: People caring for people. We flew for a familiar emergency and the personnel on board understood the situation and was very kind.
Pros: Helpful crew and loads of space on bulkhead with bassinet (had to pay extra for the seats though but worth it when travelling with five month old).
Cons: Misinformed about luggage being checked all the way to Auckland - like other US airports all luggage must be collected and handed over again for onward journeys. Also travel cot was lost in transit.
Pros: Staff was all friendly and exhibited positive and helpful attitudes. I also think the price and route was an excellent deal for this flight. It was actually such a good deal, it’s the main reason I even went.
Cons: I think the baggage restrictions thing is really slimey and a shameful scam. I actually wouldn’t have minded paying around $50 more for my ticket and hand the bag included than be misled into thinking I could take luggage and finding out after it’s too late that I have to pay for my luggage. I think it’s a really sleazy business tactic (akin to resort fees). Fortunately for me however, I don’t travel with luggage so it doesn’t directly affect me. Still think it’s. Shitty way to do business though.
Pros: Not much
Cons: Cabin AirConditioning fault. Air bridge fault all delayed flights from Fort Lauderdale to San Antonio
Pros: United seems to have simplified how it separates the boarding groups, so getting on the plane was well organized. The 787 aircraft was spacious and comfortable, which seems to put both passengers and crew in a good mood. Lots of entertainment options were available, so the three hour flight flew by. And we arrived early! A great experience on United.
Pros: Landed early
Cons: No wifi or substantial snacks/dinner. Paid for bag
Cons: Fellow passengers; too many howling kids with clueless parents
Pros: The journey was smooth
Pros: Boarding and checking in was great..
Cons: there where some issues with the airplane from the beginning we were inform that the seat belt and cigarette icons lights were no working . but then they have to call technicians to do a recheck on the plane so there more issues no just about the lights we have to stay in the plane until fixed some people lost their connection flights. the terminal where we landed was a long walk to customs then pick up bags and transport to the next terminal no enough time to eat between flights. to stressful .
Cons: My friend and I have taken our hiking packs to Alaska, California, Washington, and all along the East coast. Never have we been asked to check our packs. I was mostly surprised, at first. Once I was seated a man in front of me had his hiking pack and two ukuleles in their cases, neither of which could fit under his seat. That's when I became frustrated. O This plane sucks: our knees were slammed into the seat in front of us because the chairs are so close together. No USB plugs. Plane was dirty, scuff marks on the wall and ceiling. There was paper in the pouch that looked like a mouse had chewed on it.
Cons: We we're delayed at customs and missed our flight. We were told we were re-booked on a flight, so we ran across the airport, with two small children, to make that flight only to be told that weren't actually re-booked and needed to go standby. We then waited in line at customer service for two hours to be informed that United won't pay for a hotel. The customer service rep. did offer that if we wanted to take our kids across the airport, now at 11:30 at night, we could look for a United Supervisor in Terminal E, and if we were lucky enough to find one, they might override the policy and cover the hotel. Really! I understand that United doesn't have control over customs, but United did book an international flight with just over an hour layover, knowing that any slowdown in customs means missed flights. That's fine. The problem I have is when it happened, United's Customer Service model was to provide misinformation, incredible slow service, and what seemed like a complete lack of interest by United employees to do anything to make the situation better. There were no supervisors at the service counter, only 1 representative for an hour or so, and when the other representatives showed up, they were discussing going on break and going home. All with a very long line of people stuck in the airport waiting to get some help. I could accept this as an isolated instance, but since booking this trip, I have been getting the same level of service over the phone while trying to submit a refund request for my son who did not join us on the trip. United's 24 hour refund policy has taken 6 weeks and many hours online and on the phone and I still have no idea what the status of that request is, and apparently neither does anybody at United. The interaction I have had with your employees have been friendly and courteous, but extremely time consuming, with a lot of incorrect information and no resolution. Very mediocre at best.
Pros: The space of the plane since I volunteered to be at the emergency door I felt comfortable...
Cons: Not giving me my seat number because my ticket was not a standby ticket and I seem to think that the agent thought that I was on standby but I have to go to him several time to make him understand that my ticket had a confirmation number and I did a reserve and I needed a seat number it was not on standby when he checked it he said okay and I also explained to him that I was a military personnel ... The agent should treat us with respect you should have gave me a better information and just throw me away then going back to him several times for the correct solution...
Pros: On time.
Cons: New looking plane but the TVs behind all the chairs were locked without a credit card. The new chairs looked great until you sat in them. I'm 5'10" and my knees were already brushing up against the seatback in front of me. If you push the recline button on the armrest, the chair doesn't go back (of course it doesn't, the person's legs behind me are probably up against my chair anyway). Multiple people around me were also asking around if the chairs recline. I have a mild back injury and sitting up at 90 degrees the entire way was very uncomfortable.
Pros: The ticket staff. The only thing about the Harlingen airport is that it needs more than a couple of exray machines ....the Valley is woefully behind in staff training and technology. It took forever to get through the short lines...it was too long of a wait.
Cons: The way that a couple of young AA men who were biligirent, combative and vulgar upset about their seat assignments. I told one of the young men to stop using vulgarity and no way to treat the lady that was doing her job, she continued treating them with courtesy and they kept mumbling under their breath God knows what. So young and already so bitter. They were towering over her and took a confrontational stance...she finally called security. I would not allowed them on the plane. I commend the young lady there in Harlingen.
Pros: Finally getting to SEA
Cons: The Captain kept lying to the passengers why we were delaid ! Finally after 40 minutes sitting on the ramp he came on and apolized for telling us the wrong information but actually what happened was someone loaded all the luggage in the aft baggage compdartment incorrectly and they had to reload the the bags and move then to the forward compartment This certainty didn't give you a safe feeling knowing there ground crew didn't know ho to load there plane correctly! Another reason not to fly United Airlines! Everett Johnson, Bellevue Wash.
Pros: Flight attendants were friendly.
Cons: The most uncomfortable seat I have ever ridden on a flight. My back and posterior were in pain for over a day after the flight. Terrible treatment of passengers to pack a few more people in like cattle. Thinnest seats I have ever seen that felt and looked like hard plastic. This was an Embraer 175 jet...will never fly on one of these again. Had a hard landing in excellent weather. Flew the same route back to Charlotte on an American Airlines A320...these seats were comfortable and the landing was smooth even with a 20mph crosswind.
Pros: The flight attendants were nice, unlike the people at the ticket and gate counters.
Cons: My flight was delayed by nearly two hours, causing me to have to miss my connection. Though they knew for hours that the flight would be delayed, they did not have enough people working at the check in counters. There were not that many people in line, but I had to wait more than 20 minutes before being able to speak to someone. The representative informed me that I would have to be rebooked onto a later connection because the delay would cause my to miss my original connecting flight, and when I told her that I needed an earlier time to avoid missing a meeting, she just said "I have nothing earlier." She was barely even apologetic. Then she was unable to print my boarding pass for my connection. I had a 2 hour and 45 minute layover in Houston whereas in my original flight it was 1 hour.
Pros: Safe landing in windy conditions.
Cons: Air-con failure delayed departure. No complimentary food or OH. Poor legroom. Nothing
Cons: I was warned about booking with this airline but I had to see it for myself before listening to others now I wish I had done just that. First of all, outdated planes, no Tv screens, expensive wifi. How is it only $3 one way and then $5 the other especially after making us wait for 3 hours and 22 minutes extra. Exhausting flights both to Albuquerque from Houston and from Houston to Boston. Poor communication. Poor planning ahead. Very dissatisfied. Going with Jet Blue from now on. They never disappoint, even if there was a delay in flight.
Cons: Ended up sitting on the tarmac for 30-40 minutes. Many people almost missed or did miss flights.
Pros: I like everything!!everyone was so nice that it makes you feel so welcome and that you're like in home!!!
Pros: The crew was very nice as we got on.
Cons: As usually United over booked and even though I brought my ticket in advance I some how did not have a seat assigned to me when I checked in. Most of the plane had boarded before I had a ticket in my hand. The agent was rude as she could be because I didn't understand how that's possible for me not to have a seat. I think that it's absolutely ridiculous that it's even possible to over sale a plane since there's obviously only a certain number of seats. I think it's ridiculous that people have to offer up their seat and take another flight, I chose a flight time because that's when I wanted to leave and get to where I was going for a reason. No other industry is allowed to treat their customers this way so why does the airline industry do it? Also there's no tv or movies for us to watch while in a 4 hour flight.
Pros: crew, takeoff, landing and flight were good on each flight. no complaints there.
Cons: from COS to FLL: first flight was late taking off. connecting flight was on time. this is a bad combination. i was literally seconds from missing my connecting flight, and that was after sprinting from one terminal to another. captain on the first flight announced that takeoff was delayed because they were waiting for flight charts to finish downloading. really? WELL THEN GET THERE 20 MINUTES EARLIER AND BE PREPARED TO LEAVE *ON TIME* SO THAT PASSENGERS DON'T MISS (OR NEARLY MISS) THEIR CONNECTIONS!!!
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating
Cons: There was some sort of mix up with seat assignments two guys had the same seat assignment. The very nice gentleman who was sitting in my seat due this stood and allowed me to have my seat as it was on the isle and I was in boarding group 5 and my seat was all the way at the end by the bathrooms and needed to be able to stretch my legs into the isle. There was absolutely no leg room what so ever. The dude next to me spent the entire trip jabbing me in the side with his elbow so that he could access what little space I did have. I was unable to move my legs because every two seconds the entire plane was trekking to the back to use the bathroom, because while there was a third bathroom on the plane towards the front, for whatever reason nobody seemed to be using it.
Pros: Everything really was superb. Food rated low because of a measly biscuit on a 6 hour flight. Entertainment rated low because I even had to pay to gain access to the flight tracker. And, as far as airlines go, comfort should've been 5 stars, but I really could have used a back pillow. Or even a back pillow option (had I asked an attendant - all of whom were awesome). PS. Kayak's regular emails kept me unusually updated on flight progress and their communication was the main factor in my decision to complete this survey.
Pros: On the trip from Des Moines to Houston, timeliness of flight was great. The boarding went smooth and was done quickly. The crew were friendly and courteous. Overall the first half of the trip was fine.
Cons: I was extremely disappointed in the condition of my luggage when I picked it up plane side. The wheel was broke off and all the pockets had been unzipped and it appeared they had been rummaged through. I had to drag my bag through the terminal. I spoke with 3 individuals with United who referred me onto the next and each unwilling as the previous to help. I myself am in customer service and would never treat my customers the way I was treated by the employees representing your Airline. I would go above and beyond to make the sure that the customers experience was a great one in spite of the unfotunate incident so they would return. I have never flown United before, and I will not consider your airline in the future.
Pros: Text and email alerts.
Cons: Everything. We arrived 2 hours early and my daughter worked very hard to fit everything she needed into a carry on bag which was not easy. Her flight was delayed, delayed again, delayed again, and then cancelled. She was flying alone and should have received top priority and been one of the first called up to figure out how to get her to her destination. But that did not happen. She didn't know what to do at first then got in the long line of people and waited her turn. ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT HER ONLY OPTION WAS TO FLY OUT ON A LATER FLIGHT TO HOUSTON WHICH WOULD MAKE HER MISS HER CONNECTING FLIGHT ANT THEN STAY THE NIGHT ALONE IN HOUSTON AND WAIT THE ENTIRE NEXT DAY THERE UNTIL 9 THE NEXT NIGHT TO CATCH HER FINAL FLIGHT TO SALT LAKE CITY. I cannot even explain how angry and horrified I was that your airline thought that was acceptable for an unaccompanied minor! Clearly this one option that was offered to her by you was not accepted. Then she calls and a guy tells her he can get her there and is going to book her new flights.....only to get disconnected and never called her back. After that there was no one to be found at the desks for your airline. At this point I had driven back to the airport (spent hours driving and waiting) when a wonderful lady from a different airline helped my daughter out and got her on a different airline. However she had to check her bag due to her seating after all the hard work she put in to not checking her bag.
Pros: It got me home.
Cons: Boarding was terrible. Couldn't hear the PA's for boarding. Didn't get the boarding group thing since there was absolutely no division of where groups should be and no room for the group lines until it backs into the wall. Upon boarding I noticed we were in the center seating which was not what I had booked directly with United. When I had originally called, I explained there were four of us and the explained we could have 2 and 2 by a window but in separate groups or 2 and 2 behind the others in the middle rows. I wanted the window seats. Upon getting the res notification I noticed it was in the center so I called to have it switched to the window rows as previously requested and he said no problem and he would change them. I guess I should have followed up again since once on the plane we were in the center seats. I explained to one of the flight attendants since this was kind of a big deal. She was going to check with the gate agent and get back to me. I never heard from her again even though she knew where we were sitting. I guess she was busy and forgot! The four of us were tired and fell asleep which caused us to miss the meal which was served very early in the flight. No problem until later in the flight I asked the female flight attendant in the back if I could get a meal or some snacks for my daughter since she was now hungry. She told me she would check on it when the seat belt sign was turned off. At this time it had been smooth for quite some time and many passengers and other flight attendants were up and walking around. So if this fa was so concerned shouldn't she be telling everyone else to sit down instead of sitting in the back READING A BOOK? I still didn't have a problem as we patiently waited until she just didn't acknowledge us. Finally, I made the same request to a male fa while the same female was right behind him. He was great and came back soon with a meal I believe he may have retrieved from 1st class. He said the original ones in the back had been sitting to long. Great job to him. Sorry I do not have names. The Lufthansa crew on the way over to Frankfurt worked nearly nonstop, this crew hardly worked. Not impressed at all. By the way, I never write reviews.
Pros: Flight times were accurate.
Cons: As soon as we arrived to the airport, checking in was the biggest hassle. We were harassed by a guy working the ticket counter named Guilermo. He was EXTREMELY rude and continued to harass us and followed us after we checked in and we're already at the security check point. It's $25 to check a bag but if you check 2 bags their website says its $35 for both. We were charged $50 to check two bags. Even after Guilermo told both of us that they wouldn't charge us for the second bag to be checked. The guy that checked our bags was also extremely rude and clearly didn't care. Once we started boarding the flight several passengers had to check their bags at the gate because there "wasn't enough room on the plane". Not really sure how this was fair since we had just paid $50 to check two bags and were lied to about it when several people just checked their bags for free. We chose to fly with United because of the good deals they have on flights but after our experience I would MUCH rather pay more money and have a lot better customer service. We had such a horrible experience it almost ruined our first day of our week long trip. I'm. It really sure if it's obvious to the employees of United but traveling for most people is a very special occasion. This occasion happen to be a very special one to us as it was a family vacation and seeing family we haven't seen in years. The poor attitudes and rude demeanor from the United staff is all we could think about even after we reached our destination.
Pros: My flight was overbooked, and I was in one of the later boarding groups. When I got on the plane, someone else was in my seat, and apparently had been told by the crew to sit there. There were no extra seats visible. Clearly upset, a very nice flight attendant brought me back to the galley and chatted with me (not reacting negatively to my less-than-stellar attitude given the situation) while another went to "handle it." Not sure what magic she worked, but I ended up with a window seat in an exit row with lots of leg room. An unfortunate situation was handled very well and I'm really appreciative!
Cons: I couldn't get the WiFi to work and my seat didn't recline (because it was an exit row).
Pros: Seats were okay as far as comfort level
Cons: This flight was overbooked. I had to be back at work the next day, so I really needed to take it. The gate agents wouldn't tell me what was going on, only that the flight was overbooked and that they were "trying to get me a seat." I stood there while all of the groups boarded, waiting for my ticket. I was the last person given a ticket. By the time I finally got to board, all overhead space was taken, so I had to gate check my bag. And then someone had taken the seat I was given, so I had to ask him to move, and he started crying (child). He cried for 20 minutes, so that was fun. Also, this was a red eye - I really wanted to sleep, but right as I was dozing off, the flight attendants turned on the lights for drink service. Overall, just a really poor experience and very hard to sleep.
