Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Super unhelpful and rude. Then our flight was delayed two hours which caused us to miss the train we needed out of the airport to West Jesmond. Cons: "The flight was delayed by 4 hours because maintenance needed to change a tire on the airplane. The delay would have been acceptable if it wasn't for the excuses the airline offered. First, they said maintenance couldn't find a spare tire, and when they did rob a tire from another plane, they said the delay was due to FAA paperwork. These reasons, most likely true, suggest American Airlines (British Airways sub-contracted this flight to its partner, American Airlines) was not prepared to handle such an emergency."

Cons: "Unfortunately, the passenger beside me a young man was over served by the flight attendant and became extremely inebriated so that when I tried to ignore him and sleep, he kept touching me, rubbing my arm and leg. The crew were aware of what was happening and tried to reprimand him. It made my flight extremely difficult and it was all because the flight attendant served him doubles of whiskey (which the passenger was drinking neat) on six occasions, two bottles of red wine and that does not include the doubles the passenger procured for himself from other attendants. In all the behaviour of this passenger made my flight a complete nightmare and it was totally unnecessary for him to be served this much alcohol."

With respect to the Miami ticket agents, there are 3 people I want to highlight for excellent service. Denise, who courteously accommodated our family and rescheduled our flight as needed, another young lady who checked us in. She was sensitive to our party of 5 and was extremely pleasant. The check in process was chaotic at best and she helped make it a pleasant experience. The person is Diane, the manager at the Miami airport. She helped bring order to a completely disorganized check in process and ended up personally escorting us through security toe sure that we made our flight on time. Diane is an excellent leader."
Cons: "The check in process was completely disorganized, due to a cancelled flight from Miami to Heathrow the night before. And there were 3 scheduled flights already that people were checking in for as well. There had to have been at least 600+ people in line to check in, plus those from the night before. The Miami airport doesn't have kiosks for passengers to easily check in and bag drop, which doesn't make sense in such a large and busy international airport. That would have made a huge difference in this case. Also, we paid for our seats to select them prior to 24 hours and we ended up not sitting together."

Pros: "Segundo vieja con American Airlined y segundo fiasco. No vuelo más con esta ruta si la compañía que o uypera el vuelo es AA."
Cons: "Siempre embarque con retraso. Asiento poco cómodo, comida pobre, tripulación no habla español, el monitor de mi asiento el sonido no funcionaba correctamente y las películas escasas y fuera de temporada. En los dos vuelos que he realizado he tenido el mismo problema."

Cons: "Crew was border line rude, and for sure neither attentive nor pleasant, food was really really bad."

Cons: "When we arrived at AirPort El Dorado, we discovered that our flight was cancelled/has been changed without warning us! They scheduled us a new flight with Vianca and Iberia: Bogotá-Madrid + Madrid-Brussels. My partner and I could not sit together on any of these flights! 1 of 10 hours and of 2 hours! I would NOT recommend AA to anyone! This was full responsability of AA!"

Cons: "I understand delays happen and are sometimes out of your control. However, customer service is something that you can, should, and must control. I witnessed a lack of self control of the American employees (including a Supervisor) and every point of my trip w/your customers. I was embarrassed for the American executive team."

Cons: "the flight did not have charging areas on the plane for phones for the regular seating. also, the seating was much tighter and our arm rest was not functioning. On all the planes going to our destination the accommodations were much different."

Cons: "Our flight was cancelled after 6 hours of waiting! The. We had to wait in line for two hours to reschedule to a flight two days later. Leaving the airport with 4 tired kids at 2 am. To make it worse we couldn't get our luggage. My husband had to return the next day to spend 5 hours at the airport to claim our luggage. There has to be a better way. The flight should have been cancelled sooner Very frustrating to say the least. We lost over $1000 in hotels and train tickets also. We received no empathy about this."

Pros: "Pilot and crew were excellent.."
Cons: "I haven't flown American in three years and I see why I stopped. Very sad and extremely disappointed.. It took an 1 hr+ after landing to retrieve our luggage..in all my years of flying,i've never experienced that."

Pros: "Although the flight was delayed, the crew kept a positive attitude and got us into another plane pretty promptly. They let us check in one of our bags for free to make up for the delay."

Cons: "This 767 is a bit long in the tooth. It has very limited entertainment options, and although business class seats have power outlets, most seats on the plane do not. Ten hours of an overhead movie and no power for individual devices is tough. In business class, individual tablets are provided."

Cons: "Waiting in London over 8 hours becouce a flight to Oslo was canceled and they did not give me any earlier flight. So I was 4 hours too late in finland."

Cons: "It was very warm in the cabin. The crew didn't seem too happy. I could hardly hear the pilot announcements. Virgin America was a better flight than this one. Although, this one seems to have a bit more legroom than Virgin."

Pros: "Flight attendants were polite and attentive. The food has improved, even though it was just a sandwich. The flight was delayed in leaving Miami, but the captain explained why and how long the delay would last - he was accurate and the d lay had to do with air traffic controllers."
Cons: "The 737 in coach is too small. You are latterly bumping in to your neighbor all the time. Every bit of space they could use for seats, is taken. The rear toilets are almost in the galley and navigating people entering and leaving the toilets is a skill given the lack of space. I don't know how the flight attendants can work in such a confined space."

Cons: "Flight was delayed for more than 40 mins."

Pros: "AA is becomig a joke. A seriously bad company. Being a Platinum AA member and flying business means nothing. The boarding is bad. Long lines and no attention. Food is really poor. A coach service with a little improvement. Nothing compared to business classes of other major airlines. AA is plain behind its competitors. From Orlando to Miami my 40 minutes flight was delayed by 30... No bad weather. The flight to São Paulo was worse. They lost all of the family lugage. All five pieces. We arrived yesterday morning and still have no luggage. Conclusion: if you have options, fly any other company. Delta, United, much better. I would say that even prefer the Brazilian airlines. Avoid AA. Poor airline with no service and no attention to details."

Pros: "The price, and the service. After paying just $44 for my ticket I was offered a 1st class upgrade for the cost of 2 bags and a seat choice. A great deal if you ask me. And since I have pre-check, combined with priority access by choosing to upgrade upon online checkin getting though the airport was a breeze."
Cons: "Miami International is a zoo no matter what airline you fly. And since AA operates so many flights even Priority Access has long lines for everything."

Cons: "The boarding was a cattle care, atrociously organized, took forever. They were asking the better part of ten dollars for headphones. No way to get a drink, as with the trip over, the chairback screens didn't work, and they never notified me by e-mail that you had to order food in advance. Not even a glass of water available on a 7 hour flight, that's actually a health hazard, should be illegal. No coffee or tea. The window seat I paid up for was about 8 inches from the window, so I couldn't even lean my head there. No in-flight magazines, or handing out newspapers , no entertainment available, just sitting there uncomfortably for 7 hours while the attendants huddled behind drawn and velcro'ed curtains doing nothing. A true disgrace. Avoid Iberia and their LEVEL subsidiary like the plague. Unacceptable in every way....and at least Ryan Air and WOW are cheap, this flight was full price. Total rip-off, never again."

Cons: "I paid extra for a seat in the exit row and as soon as we took off someone from another row snuck into the exit row without paying and the flight attendants totally ignored him and he sat there the entire flight for free. They don’t give you so much as a glass of water for free and the luggage took 45 minutes to appear after landing. I certainly wouldn’t chose to fly them again if I had an alternative tho they are better than that horror Vueling whose seats were so close together that I was unable to sit with my legs straight because the leg room was so little."

Cons: "there was a delay of over an hour and no explanation was given either in Spanish or in English."

Cons: "The plane was an Airbus 330. I'm 6'2" and was uncomfortable in the seat for 7 1/2 hours. My knees hit the seat in front, and later the person there reclined to make things even worse. Since I couldn't slouch, my head was far above the seat back. I realize airlines are squeezing space and this trend will continue. It's become an accessibility problem for me."

The seats are too close together leaving no leg room for this six footer to sit with any comfort level. We won't do that again."

Cons: "flight was delayed 3 hours to begin with.. it was unorganized....no apology was given whatsoever.. plane was a bit uncomfortable. flight crew looked unhappy..I like to see people smile."

Pros: "The entertainment system with movies was great, with plenty of choices and good sound. The crew was very good. Legroom on the seats was good. They kept the temperature in the plane just right. We could board first because we had a 5-year-old child."
Cons: "Flight was delayed an hour leaving Chicago, and arrived an hour late in Madrid. The screen was not updated in Chicago to let us know what was going on. It's a mass of people at the gate, with very little systematic lining up. One luggage piece did not come out on the carousel in Madrid. We had to wait 1.5 hr at the airport to confirm that they would send it to our Madrid hotel. Hopefully it will come. The food was mediocre. Pasta for dinner with little to no meat. Not even fruit. They are clearly saving money on the food."

Cons: "Apart from the small, uncomfortable seats, the food was very gross, inedible if you're not starving, and I've been fortunate to travel a lot and I've never ever been on a flight that announces towards the end of travel to reread emergency cards, and that if evacuation is needed, to not grab your stuff (wtf?!). incredibly not comforting considering the plane was super shakey during the flight."

We paid extra foe exit row seats and they allowed someone to sir across from my husband in the flight attendant seat they use during landing and take off. He sat there the entire flight. He was tall with long legs and took away from my husbands leg room which is why we paid extra for the exit row seats. Not sure if he worked for the airline as he was dressed in regular street clothes but annoying all the same."

Cons: "had a booked flight from madrid to gatwick, london and connection the next day at 11 am to Tampa US. We were at the airport at 1500. Flight was supposed to board at 1820 and leave at 1850. When checking the board, the flight's boarding was anticipated to 1810. We were at the gate at 1815 and there was an electronic sign signaling "boarding". However there was no personal, no line of waiting passengers and no plane. Upon checking we were told that the plane had already left. (this was at 1828). The only way to make our connection in london was a flight to Heathrow later with BA. Then we had to get a taxi to get to gatwick. Will never fly Iberia again."

Pros: "They had a lot of movies and games on board. Meals and drinks were free along with blankets and pillows."
Cons: "The man at the front desk failed to scan my bag when I checked it in. My bag is now lost and I have not been contacted yet."

Cons: "Flight was canceled, no option given to rebook over the phone or at another desk. I waited 6 hours in the airport to get my flight rebooked for the following day. Cancelations happen but there was no plan in place, to manage such a situation. We were offered no compensation except free chips 5 hours into the wait. I've never had a worse experience with an airline."
