Cons: Traveling is always a challenge - abundance of patience required! We traveled from Dallas, Atlanta, Amsterdam, to Rome & back. Every country had a little different process for boarding and getting around - most had friendly staff, on point, helping clueless, stressed, & frustrated travelers. I was really disappointed in Atlanta, not a very welcoming or helpful spirit for visitors to US - not all (80% were awesome), mainly those trying to greet and direct through customs. Most hate the arrogant America anyway, don’t make it worse - put your best people on the front lines to help with international relations & show why the US is the best. Put those that don’t want to be here loading bags out back! Sorry for the lecture, but this is any business!

Cons: I had a problem getting a boarding pass that was a carryforward from a problem that I had had on the flights from the USA to Frankfort 2 weeks earlier. On those flights, I was denied boarding on the flight from Amsterdam to Frankfort because of miscommunication between Delta and KLM. Apparently, the staff who dealt with that problem did not note that the issue had occurred, so it looked like there were "out-of-sequence" segments on my initial flight and I was not allowed to check in electronically. It took several calls to KLM and Delta in Frankfurt to try to resolve the problem and finally it was determined that it could only be resolved at the airport. Other than a very nice KLM representative, the other people I talked to seemed unwilling to engage in helping me and sent me along to someone else. Although the problem was ultimately fixed, this was not a great customer service experience.

I checked Lufthansa app and found that only flight that was shown was flight Toronto-Thunder Bay. After 3 hours of phoning I found that flight from Munich to Toronto wasn’t available for date that was given us in email. Only option was day earlier or later. Left us to take day earlier and we could not changed last flight( Toronto- Thunder Bay). We had to come on Aug 22. and stay in Toronto for 27 hours and than take a flight to Thunder Bay on Aug 23. We lost a day of our vacation, had to stay at hotel. Not good experience at all. We still don’t know whom to complain about that.

Cons: Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer.
Pros: Loved the food, the comfort of the seat/plane and entertainment. Timing of meal service was perfect and overall seemed far less rushed and chaotic compared to emirates business class.
Cons: Some staff were a bit hit and miss. Mostly nice but some were not. I was clearly having trouble getting my seat converted to its bed and 3 flight attendants walked passed me and didn’t help even though they noticed I was. A portion of leather covering under the tv where I feet went was hanging off when I boarded and but on with masking tape. Took the elegance away. It’s funny they use the old fit our A380 but such a long flight.

Add to it the fact I caught a movie I'd missed seeing at cinema plus even getting a few hours sleep, this was probably one of my better long haul flights in recent times.

Cons: The flight was delayed. There was a terrible backlog in Security at Frankfurt Airport. This is not Lufthansa's fault but considering how important Frankfurt is, you would think the airlines would say something. The flight was late. There were no proper queues for boarding. Everone was mixed up, business, gold card, economy, and only one person doing the chekcing of boarding passes. It was not the best process.

Cons: Delays in Nice led to a narrow window for connection. More than ten people were left behind - doors practically closed in our faces - and Lufthansa was wholly unhelpful in rescheduling flights. Lines to speak with agents were absurd and then attendants had to take breaks instead of resolve issues. There were no solutions offered, only poor communication and an unwillingness to accommodate a significant number of customers who were inconvenienced. Finally, a "random inspection" led to a handful of passengers being surveyed by the German local police. Interestingly, a number of us were Hispanic Americans. The whole experience was extremely negative.

Pros: Last year I flew Lufthansa which was my worst experience flying ever. I thought the new standard was so low I would never fly to Europe again. I had heard KLM was good but I felt this was as good as could be expected actually much better. The food was even good.

Cons: Having to change my seat to accommodate a rude belligerent passenger, who had taken my seat, refused to move until spoken to by steward. She then made my flight a nightmare, until I let her sit in my aisle seat. Even then she was not satisfied, she abused me the whole flight damaged the screen so I could not use it until the steward fixed it. Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced.

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees.

I lost valuable time at the airport and almost missed the flight. Chaotic and unexpected baggage problems before boarding to Dallas: the board luggage, same as we had on the way over, was not accepted and had to be checked in. Problem since we had to move laptop, etc. before the actual boarding. Attendants not as professional as they should be. Also seats were changed -- I was not able to sit with my daughter who regularly gets travel sickness. Overall not a good experience. But the worst: changing airlines and not being informed!!!!

Cons: The adult movie selection was not interesting. I ended up watching a children's Disney movie that proved to be more entertaining. What caused my discomfort during the flight was not due to British Airways or American Airlines, but rather was a problem at the Frankfurt terminal. I could not take a bottle of water thru the security check and there was no water fountain after the security check. I have a lot of food sensitivities and cannot drink bottled water. It was only at the end of the flight when I was desperate for water that I discovered I could get some tap water from a flight attendant.

Cons: There weren't any screens, which surprised me since our 3 other flights had them, and we unfortunately didn't have a backup plan. Our kids were disappointed. Also in order to sit with our young children we were only given the option to sit in the very last row that doesn't recline which was difficult seeing as the flight took place in the middle of the night according to our bodies. No actual food was provided despite it being a 6 hour dinner time flight.

Cons: The electronic screen that shows movies etc. needs to be updated. Some of the functions did not work and those that did work were very difficult to get to work well. Disappointing. Obsolete technology.
Cons: Entertainment screen did not work which affected 6 passengers, rows 34 and 35. Flight attendants kept saying there was nothing they could do. They didn't return to give us an update. We had to ask three times to different attendants.

Cons: Frankfurt was rebooked by AA to PHL connecting to LGA. LGA leg was cancelled. They wanted us to take a flight to LGA the next day. We got ticketed to DCA connecting to LGA same day. Finally arrived home after 18 hours of travel. NOT HAPPY. We don't blame AA for weather cancellation but it was not an easy trip home.
Cons: They had the wrong flight times which made my connection impossible so they had to book a later flight for my wife and I, Did not get the seats we paid for and initially did not have us even sitting together until we insisted.

Instead, I was put in mid-row seats 42D and 24E, on both flights. No notification or explanations from American Airlines or Kayak, and no refund...yet. Any comments?

Cons: The outbound plane from Newark to Frankfurt was late by 1.5 hr because United could not figure out how to bring the plane (that was sitting in the middle of the airfield to the gate and then they realized that they need get catering supplies to feed the passengers and we were waiting for that too. The inbound flight from Frankfurt to Newark was late by 1.45 hours since they were fixing a computer problem on board. The flight was totally over air-conditioned and when I asked to bring an extra blanket for me the flight attendant started lecturing me that I was wearing shorts and a polo shirt (in the 86F heat at FRA and EWR it was ok!) and that she had no blankets. The second flight attendant who for some reason came 2 miins after the first one apologized for the attitude of his female colleague and immediately brought me an extra blanket.

Pros: The food was remarkably good for a US airline. The wine was good as well. I found enough video material to entertain me throughout the long flight, although I would have liked a decent classical music program.
Cons: I had to ask for a pillow and when I did not take the blanket becaue it was comfortable I had made a mistake. It was VERY chilly in the last third of the flight and there was no way to locate personnel, or even a call button in the darkened plane to ask for one.Finally I climbed up on my seat (short people cannot reach the overhead bins on this plane) to get my coat out of the overhead bin and passed the last hours bundled up in that. While water was passed out frequently, collecting cups and bottles, not to mention the remnants of the snack or meals was not high on the priority list and eventually we were sitting in a trash pile. Bravo for having luggage available as soon as we got through customs!
Cons: Real pain trying to switch planes in Frankfurt. Kept being sent to different areas of Airport. Lufthansa employee's didn't know where we were to go. Would have been nice to have been escorted to where we had to go.

Cons: 2 hr layover-got off plane and walked to new terminal-went through carry on bag and person security scans and checks. At the gate 30 mins before flight, boarding started. Directed to go to 1of3 stand up desks located in the open away from the gate and boarding lines. Desks were attended by one United employee each. All 3 of us;wife, husband, child passports, boarding passes were checked, and then we were told to get in line to board the plane. About one minute after getting in line, wife name was called over the boarding desk loud speaker to see the boarding desk attendant. At the boarding desk, the boarding desk attendant instructed wife to go back to one of the open area desks to have documents checked again. The attendant then instructed wife that her and her bag would need to go through a secondary search before wife would be alloyed to board the plane. Wife was then accompanied by open area desk attendant and walked down terminal 8 gates to private type room where personnel quickly checked contents of single carry on bag focusing on phone and computer. Wife then directed to go ahead and go back to gate to board plane. Wife quickly walked to gate and met husband and child to present passports and boarding passes. At this time the wife and child began being verbally rushed by a male united employee to hurry up down the pedway, and told the plane needed to leave so hurry up. Needless so say wife, husband and child were the few last guests to be seated. Well, when trying to get seated, all the overhead space had been taken in the area around the assigned seats. When husband briefly described the secondary search situation and thus the current predicament with no space in the overhead for carry on, the attendant asked husband to follow attendant to front of plane with your bag in order to stow there. After speaking with some other attendants, space was made available in an overhead compartment near wife, husband and child seat. ***Please be aware when flying united.... While waiting in the boarding line after multiple security checks where you and your carryon have been scanned and more than one document check has been done, you may to be asked to take a walk to go through yet another bag check, and then be rushed to board a plane that needs to leave, and then find no room for your carry on, and then be asked to put your carry on in a remote location and deal with getting to it and back to your seat for the next 11 hrs if you want to access the contents of your carry on.
Cons: I didn't like that I couldn't select our seats ahead of time because this flight was a code share with United. Also, the United gate agents gave me the impression they didn't know what they were doing or what was going on. There was a security check and one agent checked our passports and then sent us to another who said we didn't need to go to her, but to the counter. At the counter, the agent said she didn't need us there. When I asked questions, she didn't answer my questions, but instead answered questions that I hadn't asked. For example, I asked to check our seat assignments to make sure that we were together, and the first response was that the flight was oversold but they were trying to keep families together. Not what I asked, and immediately caused me to worry that our family would not be seated together. I had to persist several times to get the gate agent to verify that we were assigned seats together, which had been the case all along. Why the needless confusion and anxiety? I don't think she did a good job of listening to me.
Pros: The flight attendants were very friendly and the food was excellent. I was provided with plenty of snacks and drinks and I felt like I never went without!

Cons: To whom it may concern I had booked flight from Casablanca to Chicago via Frankfurt , on May 6th , by Lufthansa, two hours before the flight , at the counter in CMN , they notified me , that the flight , is over booked , and I can’t catch this flight , and they offered me different difficult options, , till the flight boarded , they offered me one of the most inconvenient flights , and reward me some amount , in this case : I missed my flight which accordingly , lose my appointment , and lose my business. I frustrated with this decision at late hours . I asked full consideration of all the difficulty situation and the turbles they put me .

Cons: After waiting almost an hour at the Luthansa check in line, I was told that I had to check in under the United counter -- even though the ticket was sold by Lufthansa. The documentation sent with the ticket needs to make this clearer so that such a frustrating experience is not repeated.

Cons: It was hot in the cabin. I asked for temp to be turned down and it was. It got hot again. So uncomfortably hot. Wi-fi didn't work so no movies or shows on personal electronics. The food and wine on this flight was about the worst I've ever experienced. Lufthansa flight over to Frankfort (operated by Lufthansa) was great. I wish Lufthansa would drop United. United service is totally going down hill in so many ways. Totally disappointed.

Cons: We were on the tarmac without air conditioning for over an hour and a half with (per usual) very little information about our situation. Pilots told us that we'd be moving in 10 minutes. An hour later it was the same message again. Why do you do this? Keeping your passengers in extreme heat without explanation is not only unacceptable, it's cruel. Flight attendants claimed to also not know what the situation was. They were kind and offered us water but couldn't clarify what was happening or how long we would be suffering. The "wifi" didn't work. There wasn't enough food, drink or snacks for everyone on the plane so those of us in the back got leftovers or fewer choices.
Pros: The crew was excellent and the whole flight too. Except for a lady who kept refusing to shut her shade and didn't let us enjoy our movies or have some nice sleep.
Cons: A 12-hour flight without private entertainment working is a huge negative imo. There were shared screens running the same movies for everyone but the united wifi that had private entertainment stuff was not working. On a long flight this makes the flight boring.

Cons: First, UA flight attendant forgot to serve us (and few more sitting on the same area) lunch. By the time we asked why we are not served, we didn't have a choice, but to take whatever left. Second, we had about only 1 - 1 1/2 hours of in-flight entertainment available in Economy class out of 10 1/2 hour flight. Of course, entertainment was available for first, business and premier class. Why? Satellite problem supposedly. Third, ok. There was a entertainment on a big screen in the front. However, system on the armrest was not working. What's the point? My husband and I have been in long distance flight over 25 year with various airline companies, BUT THIS UNITED FLIGHT WAS ONE OF THE WORST FLIGHT EVER. When I booked this vacation, I chose Lufthansa on purpose as I know their quality of service and professionalism. I didn't notice that the return flight was a code share with UA. Only thing they can say was that they can provide us more mileage as a compensation if we write to UA on their website... We had a great vacation until were on this flight.

Cons: The boarding experience was very. The boarding lady was, in my opinion, racist. First I requested to have seats reassigned if possible, since I was traveling with my brother and we bought the same ticket but were assigned different seats. The lady was extremely rude. The flight was 2/3 full so this shouldn't have been an issue. On they Chicago to Nairobi flight we asked the same question and the lady was extremely helpful and pleasant. Secondly, I bought a bottle of Whisky from Nairobi airport. Frankfurt airport refused to allow me to continue with it. They insisted on having it checked it, which can only happen outside the airport. I gave it my brother to check in, but he was delayed. While people were boarding I told staff that I would wait and see if he could make it aboard. Suddenly the lady said that he is 'high risk' because he left the secure part of the airport and he will not be on the flight and off too because I said I was waiting. The other 2 check - in personnel stepped in and were helpful. The gave me a couple of minutes to decide if I wanted to board the plane because the would have to pull my bags off the plane if I decided not to board. This one racist lady ruined the entire boarding experience. I wish I had taken note of her name. I doubt that I will transit through Frankfurt or use Lufthansa by choice ever again.

Cons: I cannot believe United Airlines flies an 11-hour international flight and does not provide each seat with an individual television for entertainment. I fly quite frequently and EVERY other international flight has individual televisions. It made the experience long and horrible. I am a minimalist and travel with as few items as possible. So even though United offered me the ability to use my own device, I don't have one! Also, the instructions to download the app before take off was not clear. During the entire flight, I kept getting the message "no internet connection; unable to connect to satellite." So I couldn't even use my phone. Very annoying and I will never fly United for international flights again.

Pros: Roomy seat area, lots of entertainment options, crew was pretty good - one flight attendance a little sassy - but not sure if it was supposed to be funny. I thought it was - so I put it as a positive and she got it done and kept offering water.
Cons: Boarding was the main issue. There was some kind of extra security feature where they wanted to check our boarding passes - which is fine! however, the way the boarding crew handled those operations was embarrassing. Basically no organization of the lines, and when it was time to board, they could not handle the organization of people that had already been checked security wise (and ready to board) - and people that weren't security checked. For instance, I had my boarding pass ready (had already been security checked) and was ready to board. But there was no indication as to which line to get into, so when I asked, I was demeaned - and told to go to "zone 3! You are boarding group 3!" There was no way to know where this was, and just before (when I was getting security checked on my boarding pass) the woman told me to "just stay in the line that I was in - because boarding would take place soon". There was no way to know which lines were zone 1, 2, 3, or still checking boarding passes for security reasons. Once my zone 3 line reached the point to get scanned to board, eventually people had also been in the wrong line and were ready to board, so 4 lines of people who were just as confused as I was, started to merge. This is going slowly of course, people in zone 1 (who thought they were in the zone 1 line but instead were still stuck in the boarding pass security line) were upset because zone 3 was boarding and they weren't - and this is while the staff is getting angry at people NOT boarding - because they are stuck in these other lines. It was quite disorganized and I think the staff could have handled the entire process better. Not sure if I ordered the wrong option but food could have used an upgrade.
Cons: There were 2 ladies speaking Romanian. Being native Romanian speaker, I understood them and the way they talked to each other did not seem professional. Also I heard someone from the crew asking rude questions to some guy such as "- Do you have a gun in your bag right now?" (Heck, that guy was in transit, and he already passed 1 or more security check points before getting to that gate. And even if he has a gun, he would say NO, and your job is not to trust his words, but to check his bag instead...).
Pros: I like the service, food was great, even the sanwiches were warm and good, movie's selection was good.
Cons: I was in a row of thee sits, the two sits next to me were occupied by two small children, and the mother sat on the next row, the children needed to be sited next to their mom, and I was forced to exchange my sit with her. The noise was unbearable with them being separated
Pros: The crew were very pleasant & that was the only saving grace of the journey.
Cons: Never been in a flight which has been so cramped in terms of space. United needs to upgrade their flights & stop using antiquated airlines. The turbulence for most of the duration of the flight was horrible, while I understand turbulence is beyond the airlines control, I am quite positive a newer airline would have ensured the effect is a lot lower (e.g. A380). The sky was very clear landing into Newark but I the entire journey to touchdown was so turbulent that I almost wanted to throw up, I don't understand the science of flying but I haven't seen an airline wobble so much on a clear day for landing. Overall, I definitely believe United needs to upgrade their airline & until such time, I am going to find a different carrier to fly.
