They were at the 12th row and after bumping into me, the flight attendant asked me to back up and wait until the beverage service was over to go back to my seat. This was a flight from Frankfurt to Zurich, only about an hour long, and I would have easily spent half of it standing up had I complied with their request. I had to be pushy and ask them to just back up the cart 2 feet so I could get to my seat, which only took them 5 seconds. This was a very rude, illogical, and unreasonable request from the Swiss Air crew."

I would think they would save money if they flew an empty plane down to Dar es Salaam, picked up those passengers and then flew back to Nairobi. No way should an 8.5 hour flight take over 11.5 hours. Plus my screen didn't work for one of the flights, nearly 12 hours without entertainment was BS. No real variety in their meals either. The first leg had a main meal of beef and potatoes as the meat option, same option for the second leg."

I have siliver status on United and was told that there was no way to be considered for upgrade to different seat. I was told that the list was already full of higher priority customers. Yet at the same time the same employee announced those seats were available for purchase at $200 Euro for others. It seemed in both cases Lufthansa shuffled around passengers out of their selected seats for unknow reasons and also werent honoring frequent flier status programs for changing seats. Furthermore, the in seat entertainment did not work and it took quite a bit of effort including trying to move seats to get the flight attendants to reset the system (they said it would affect other customers who didnt have problems with their entertainment system). 8+hour flight is long flight to not have the system working. eventually the fixed it a couple of hours into the flight."

Perhaps spoiled food or the lack of the pre-ordered gluten-free meals left one of us ill for the week since. Days of headaches with Lufthansa leading up to these two flights - online, on the phone and in person. We ended up on a full United flight with some of the most humorless in-flight staff ever."

On the flight from US, kid's meal had 3 chocolate bars on top of other sweet things, which is too much. Give kids fruit bowl instead. I will not order child meal again."

The food is excellent (especially from Germany to U.S.), the seats remarkably comfortable—although tight, the flight attendants efficient and friendly. Drinks are served generously. No nickel-and-diming, unlike other airlines. The best part is the entertainment system which offers a huge range of movies (very recent blockbusters to classics, in all sorts of languages) on a user-friendly system. Bring your own headphones with a dual-prong adapter, and you will enjoy your flight."

On the other hand, not very nice either. They also didn't allow to take the guitar on-board due to a short & full flight saying the above part was too small. When I got on however, there was clearly room there. It could have been human error, but still disappointing nonetheless. They said there would be no track so it should safe, which it was, but it was left out in the rain for a minute or two so the soft case was somewhat wet. I don't think any permanent damage occurred."

There is not enough sitting area for passengers waiting for connections, and there was at least one other flight departing from a nearby gate at the same time as ours. This meant many folks had to stand or sit on the floor while waiting for their connection. We could not hear the boarding announcements at all, and it seemed the boarding agents just started letting on the people who were closest to the gate, instead of boarding from the rear of the plane first."

At that point passengers can just board aircraft at no particular order. Defeated the whole purpose of the initial boarding by sections (Saga, Economy Comfort and Economy)."

Then, you manage to find your gate...which is an effort in itself, as there are few signs...and there is ONE agent checking boarding passes of this massive crowd that is not lined up at ALL. Once in the air, Iceland Air performs well. But on the ground, it is nothing less than a MESS."

Pros: "Crew was friendly, I've flown quite a bit and I've found Icelandair to have the friendliest crew around."
Cons: "Flew economy/cheap seats while I was upgraded on the flight to Iceland it didn't happen on the way stateside, I'm not complaining about that but the economy seats are extremely narrow and the cushions feel like half the padding in economy comfort class. I'm 6'2" weigh 215 lbs and by the time the flight ended I was extremely stiff and my legs were half asleep due to the confined space. If you fly fly economy comfort seats are wider, better padded and you board earlier."

She did not try to get help from a colleague until 25 minutes into trying to get it figured out herself... On top of everything else, the baggage tag printer at her station failed."

Cons: "* Lack of announcements as to what was happening: ticketing, ticket lines, boarding, meals, etc. Rude counter and gate employees. Poor coordination and crowd control/line control. * Cramped seating...though the seats looked brand-new. * Small monitors with limited selection compared to other airlines. * Only food or drink included in ticket was a small bottle of water. All else, pay up. This looks like an airline that is trying to enter market and gain share by offering low prices but is not up to the challenge of giving adequate service, particularly at ticketing, check-in and at gate when they succeed in luring passengers in with the low price. I am not likely to fly Icelandair again unless I am desperate for low-priced ticket, which is not often the case, thank goodness. Try harder Icelandair and maybe you will make it. Work on the ground-based service because it is lacking."

Pros: "Crew were great, movie/TV selection was small but pretty good, plane itself was relatively new and fine. Had a traditional Icelandic Christmas beverage as one of the choices, and played Icelandic Christmas songs during boarding and arrival!"

Pros: "I had a connection from Frankfurt to Seattle with a 45 minute layover in Reykjavik, my Frankfurt leg was delayed and it was later in the day so there was no way for me to make it to Seattle on time. At first they offered to put me up and Frankfurt, which I wasn't too happy about. I then asked them if I could take my delayed flight to Frankfurt and then just stay in Reykjavik for the night and take my original flight home, just the next day. To my surprise they said yes. Their service in Reykjavik was just phenomenal. I was greeted at the gate by an attendant who gave me the choice of staying in Keflavik (the town next to the airport) or in Reykjavik itself which is 30 miles from the airport. They put me up in a fancy 4 star hotel on the harbor in Reykjavik, covered my taxi rides (120 dollars each way) and my meals (costing about 100 dollars total for dinner, breakfast, and lunch. I could not have asked for a better layover experience!"
Cons: "As usual for Iceland Air flights, meals aren't included. I love flying them because their service is great and their flights are affordable...but I still hate having to decide whether to fork over 20 dollars just for a meal. I'd rather have it included in the ticket price. The other annoying part of my flight was with the desk service at Frankfurt Airport. When our flight was delayed, we had to exit past security, go out to the main terminal and wait in a slow-moving line for our flights to be re-booked, hotels to be arranged, and baggage to be arranged etc. While the service team was very friendly and helpful, they were very poorly organized. It seemed like different agents were constantly having to move around and get approvals from other agents while some agents were just sitting around only signing an occasional expense form. I was waiting in line for almost an hour with just ten people in front of me! I feel like the line would have gone twice as fast if they worked a bit to eliminate bottlenecks!"

Pros: "The Heathrow staff was attentive to our needs regarding a passenger with special needs. The flight attendant crew was also totally on point throughout the flight. As we left the plane, one of the flight attendants, Simone, made a very special effort to assist us and for that I am grateful. The wheel chair attendant at Washington Dulles was also a real trooper who remained with us until all luggage was retrieved and I made my way to the Parking Garage to retrieve my car. I am totally impressed with the service and care that everyone associated with British Airways provided to make this transport effortless."

Flight took off late beacuse the luggage of passengers who did not make the flight had to be removed, but managed to arrive only a few minutes late."
Cons: "It was just too cramped. It didn't help the the gentleman sitting next to me was large enough to be spilling over into my seat. The seats were not very comfortable either. The movie selection was a bit disappointing compared to Iberia Airways, and the screen quality was not so great. I also didn't see usb ports to charge portable elctronics, which was disapointing."

Cons: "After we boarded, there was an announcement stating that there was an issue with one of the wings. So we sat for an hour and a half in an extremely warm plane while they fixed the problem."
Cons: "One hour delay due to equipment failure. they loaded us and closed the door to hit hit the "on time" mark but then made us sit on the plane for the fix. There is no way the failure was discovered after loading. Usually the seats are ok, this one was the sardine plane, very tight. We were on the bulkhead seat (more room) but the entertainment screens were all yucky."

Cons: "A lot of stress: our 1st leg IAD to Dublin was cancelled, than we got 2 set of tickets rebooked. On the way back there was a stress since we had a "problem with the ticket" Apparently the Aer Lingus made all those mistakes. In London I was told to go to the end of line 2 times, the BA employee was olaying really weird games. Pretty annoying."

Cons: "But Dulles Airport needs to control the level of toxicity experienced when certain entitled passengers think they have to pack the tarmac shuttle under NO PARTICULAR AUTHORITY, shouting "MOVE BACK [YOU] PEOPLE" into the closest ear. There should be someone other than the driver on those shuttles monitoring people, since they obviously need a babysitter."

Pros: "The flight itself went smoothly despite some windy conditions, and we were transported in one piece, without incident, from LHR to IAD. The crew members were pleasant in conversation and reasonable in frequency of food service. Once, when I pressed the attendant button, one of them came quickly to ask me what the problem was, and that kind of responsiveness is always a plus, in my opinion. The seats reclined a reasonable amount, not the mere 2-5 cm one sometimes experiences lately."
Cons: "The aircraft was aging at least a bit, and it was clear because my seat almost would not return to the upright position and stay there. Several times I tried to return it to upright as the end of the flight neared, and it would easily move but would return to reclined once I leaned back. It was as if I had been the whole time keeping my finger on the button that makes the seat movable. After I'd about given up, the seat finally stayed upright even when I put my weight back on it. My flight attendant misunderstood my drink request, but I let it go because the result was close to what I had asked for. It could have been that there was too much background noise - not sure."
Cons: "we didn't get a snack before landing we only got a drink. we were only given food at the beginning of the flight and it was an 8 hour flight. I was not able to change my flight for this trip had to do it at the counter; but the friend who i was traveling with did have the ability to do so. I went early to the airport in Johannesburg to ensure we could sit together but the workers in terminal A sent me to terminal B (even though they were closed and didn't open until 3) then i went to the ticketing desk and they said they couldn't' help me. so i ask them to call British Airways help desk (since i didn't have a phone internationally) and they said they were closed on the weekend. I wrote the gentleman's name down but i don't have it with me right now. I was finally able to get my seat changed when i checked in at 6pm; lucky there were seats available. I would say the customer service at Johannesburg airport for BA is terrible."

I'm only 5'4" 118lbs - I can't imagine how anyone bigger than me feels when they have to fly in the same situation."

We could also charge our phones and other electronic devices from our seats. The flight attendants were all very nice and the food was fine. The distance between the rows in coach was comfortable, even for a 6' tall person. It was a great flight!"

Cons: "The plane was parked not at the terminal, but far away. The one hour delay occurs because of 300 passenger transportation from and to the plane. This delay could be avoided if terminal services were more responsible. I always thought that the United provides the worst food in economy class. It appeared that BA food is even worse. The entertainment software was obsolete and delivered an image of a very bad quality."
Cons: "The food expired the day we were on the flight- I ate the chicken salad sandwich and I was sick on the flight and the rest of the evening home. My sister who are the same sandwich was sick also."

Cons: "My flight was delayed at the last minute and had to sit in the Heathrow Airport for 4-5 hours and remain seated another 7-8 hours once finally boarding at another gate opposite other end of airport. Upon arrival to Dulles International and clearing customs/immigrations and finally making it out to claim my baggage my luggage was deemed lost and never made the flight to Dulles. To this day, I still do not have my luggage with my belongings containing Rx, clothing, shoes, souvineers, etc. Needless to say, I am very upset let alone extremely inconvienced."

Cons: "We booked our flight three months ago and my friend was bumped from the flight since they overbooked. They were still selling tickets up until the flight. They didn't ask for volunteers but somehow picked her. When I asked if I could stay with her, I was told that I would have to buy a new ticket for the other flight. Also they were very rude while explaining it. Not impressed. Also the flight was delayed because they didn't start boarding on time and then we sat on the runway for about 30 min."

Being told it was weather related on the plane and being told it was MAINTENANCE by customer service. The plane was very crowded, the flight attendants never smiled. WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. I was very annoyed getting off the plane walking back and forth....it was aweful. and my flight before this was no better i am VERY TURNED OFF BY AMERICAN AIRLINES RIGHT NOW."

Cons: "The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging."

Cons: "Gates are way too far apart in Miami and the golf carts to get between areas seem to require reservations and long waits. Ridiculous. Most MIA staff was very rude (this wasn't American's own staff, or TSA, I should note). American stripped my group of our seat assignments (which we had selected 6 months prior) without reason and with minimal apology. No solution offered. Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Not impressed."

Then it was discovered a preflight mechanical check hadn't been done. So we all sat for another HOUR waiting for the mechanics to arrive and do their work. The flight attendants were unpleasant and rude."

Pros: "I appreciated the interactive screen on the backseat, which provided me entertainment watching Doctor Who and playing Angry Birds. I also liked that the power outlet to charge my phone was more accessible on the backseat instead of below my seat, which is normally where I find it."
Cons: "I did not appreciate that there was a device mounted below 2 of the 3 backseats in my row. Those devices cut into at least a few inches of valuable room to store a carry-on bag. At worst, I've seen 1 seat have such a device, so it was quite disappointing to see 2 seats with them, including mine."

The first cancelation caused me to buy new tickets at a higher price I had originally purchased them at. We were redirected from Kayak to Vayamo and they have no sense of customer service. Horrible"

Pros: "Nice modern plane. Even though the flight was delayed, we ended up boarding earlier than expected and arrived pretty close to our original expected arrival time."
Cons: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."
Pros: "Friendly crew, nice meal, relaxing flight. Really appreciated the opportunity to get the Dasani Lime sparkling water. Nice, healthy alternative to soda and such. I appreciated that loud PA system announcements weren't being made all night long during the flight. This allowed me to get truly relaxed and enjoy the flight part of the experience. Thank you."

Cons: "Our flight was 3 + hours behind schedule. We didn't get to take off until around 11:30pm when our flight was supposed to take off at 7:05pm. I have missed my itinerary and cruise trip with family members. Now I have to wait 2 days to catch a cruise and reunite with my family in Italy. It's not fear that the airline don't take consideration for this kind of situation. We understand that Things happens and the airline takes precautions to make sure everything is okay before take off. However, I'm very frustrated and disappointed."
