Pros: "Got on the plane. Grateful we got to where we were going. Smooth transition to aircraft."

Cons: "Nothing could be changed."
Pros: "Efficient crew"
Cons: "Super crowded and hot"
Pros: "Free Wi-Fi and entertainment. Landed early."
Cons: "Way too crowded during Covid, every single seat was taken. Then, to make things worse, they let people in with food so they'd have the excuse to unmask in-flight. On top of which, they passed around snacks (in a 2-hr flight?? during Covid??) so 80% of the plane took their masks off to eat their pretzels and drink their water. Unacceptable."
Cons: "Me and my husband traveled with my infant son and thebstaff was very accomodating. They evn allowed us to change seats to ensure my son was not next to another person."
Cons: "If we boarded and left on time"
Pros: "Comfortable seat, chargers and device holders at search station, very clean and great leg room."
Cons: "Food and drinks"
Cons: "Better customer services"
Pros: "Crew was good and mostly attentive."
Cons: "Had to move seat three times because the audio/video didn’t work in my seat. Was very frustrating"
Cons: "Not being an hour late. Someone to manage social distancing at gates. What a mess. Flight was easy tho."
Pros: "Quick flight time even though we left late."
Cons: "Needed larger plane. The passengers were smashed together in small seats."
Cons: "This was the most uncomfortable flight of my life. We were packed in like sardines during COVID. This was the least amount of legroom I've ever had on a flight."
Pros: "They were ensuring everyone wore the requirements of masks on the flight or you didn't fly."
Cons: "There was no social distancing on the flight due to it being full. We had to switch out planes which caused an hour delay. No food and no one came for trash which I just left my empty cup on the seat. No flight attendants came through during the duration of the flight. The Wifi didn't work but I didn't need that for once."
Pros: "Flight was slightly delayed (20 min). However, boarding was quick."
Cons: "The flight was full so no option to distance."
Cons: "Both flights were overbooked. Social distancing doesn’t apply to American Airlines."
Pros: "Nothing at all"
Cons: "Everything from boarding to landing the flight and atleast could have informed the next connection that we would be late by a few minutes so we could have caught that flight. Instead we ended running around the airport for no reason."
Cons: "Too crowded for this isolation time also the guy across the aisle from me (about12 inches away) took off his mask as soon as he sat down and did not put it on until he got off. The flight attendant said NOTHING. You can do better."
Cons: "Flight was super hot! And uncomfortable. Not sure if A/C was working"
Cons: "Really rude check in with bags and flight attendants are rude too. Haven’t flown American Airlines in years and will try to avoid them again"
Pros: "Air Crew was professional and polite - flight was quick and lasted less than 90 minutes in the air, was overall enjoyable"
Cons: "Gate attendant was fairly rude (could be a result of holiday travel stress) - several travelers didn’t speak English fluently, and she would snap at them or roll her eyes they weren’t comprehending instructions. Boarded extremely early (almost an hour) but sat on tarmac for some time - eventually took off about 20 minutes late. Not airlines fault and likely result of holiday backlog Retrieving baggage from plane was biggest issue - use a carry on to but was required to valet bag as opposed to storing overhead. Baggage unloading was late (again, holiday backlog) but no personnel were available to inform passengers of delay, and bags were not in initial cart. Resulted a delay of offloading by roughly 20 minutes. Was ultimately found in the second wave of luggage, and witnessed baggage handlers tossing luggage carelessly onto cart floor. Nothing was damaged but was annoyed at lack of communication and overall disorganization."
Cons: "The flight was delayed due to a missing officer. Because of this, I missed my flight from Chicago to Narita Japan. I had to cancel the hotel in Japan and pay $120 cancellation fee. The customer service changed my flight to go to Dallas/Fort Worth TX then fly to Narita Japan next day. They gave me vouchers for hotel stay and meal ($12) which are absolutely minimal compensation after all this headaches. They were unable to upgrade my seat since they’re full. Now the flight to Narita is 2 hour delay and they have changed the gate at least twice. I’m worried if I can get on the next connecting flight to Sapporo due to this delayed schedule. I feel like this whole trip is ruined because the delayed flight from Philadelphia to Chicago. This has been my worst and the most ridiculous flight experience ever. I don’t think I ever want to fly with American Airlines in the future."
Pros: "Our flight attendant was very polite and with a great attitude."
Cons: "The pilot arrived late because he went for a Tim Horton's coffee (I know that because I was in first row and I heard the flight attendants talking about that). Then, after he finally arrived with a tray full of coffees, there was an issue with the jet's computer and had to reset it and we had to wait even more. When we finally arrived, our Gate was taken by other plane already and we had to wait (more) for the first one to be available for us. Then, when we finally got our Gate, there was another issue, now with the "finger". They weren't able to move it and connect it to the plane to get off of it. So we had to wait AGAIN. And finally as soon as we got off the plane, they were supposed to give us our carry ons on the aisle (Because it was a small plane CR700) , but again, we had to wait almost 10 minutes so that they could send the luggage... To make things worse, I had a first class ticket and I couldn't get the perks of it at the airport. Because they said I wasn't flying in an international flight. Come on?! Canada->USA->Mexico is not International??? You lost me AA."
Pros: "We didn’t crash and die. That’s the only positive."
Cons: "Before we boarded I listened to a couple described how they always went ahead in line at boarding because no one ever stopped them. They described how they waited until group 3 was called and then went right through. While we were waiting, we watched them do it again. If you need to cram people into tiny spaces to be profitable, then you cannot allow them to make it worse by putting back their seats. I spent 90 minutes with a seat back jammed into my chest. We were ignored when handing out snacks, probably because we were invisible behind the seats pushed in our faces. It was one of the most miserable flights I’ve experienced."
Pros: "The staff was fantastic"
Cons: "Well my flight got delayed four separate times. I was stuck in LAX for 3 hours. So much that booked another flight with another airline for the following morning. I had to book a hotel nearby LAX just so I could somewhere to sleep for the night. My luggage made it to Chicago safely, but I didn’t at least not with American Airlines. It took them an hour to tell us that they reassigned the pilot to another flight, not only that when it was delayed the first initial time (40 minute delay) about ten minutes before we were supposed to board they tell us that the flight attendant crew is going to take 30 minutes to get to the gate. Not only but those poor airline service staff were completely unaware of all these changes! They had to find out from the passengers what was going on. Honestly I will never fly with American Airlines ever again!!!"
Pros: "The crew was great and made light of a relatively tense situation. This was a connecting flight for many passengers which was delayed so many of us were missing our connections. The crew still did a great job keeping everyone comfortable and boarding us quickly."
Cons: "Unfortunately our plane was grounded in Chicago before our leg of the trip even began. By the time it arrived in YYZ many of us would already be missing connections. Due to a smaller plane we have to stow most of our carry on below which caused a bit of chaos while disembarking trying to retrieve bags and hustle to the next flights. Since I knew before leaving YYZ we were quite delayed my husband drove to ORD to pick me up instead of waiting 24hr for the next flight to St. Louis. It added 8 hours of driving for him to an already long day but we made the best of it."
Pros: "Good is that they sent you to Finnair to correct AA created break in service...why would they pay for it? AA is just an operator per itinerary! Why would you care if ppl get help with connections!"
Cons: "Checked in online on Finnair and automatically for the second connecting flight...and not the first -AA. So, had to check-in again for the first flight at the terminal. Board passes were printed 2 out of 3 by AA and both had errors - wrong gate for the first flight and no boarding info for the second connecting flight - just blank! AA did not provide connecting info until I found an unoccupied employee at the terminal and customer service lines were about 20 people in 2 locations I went to. The connecting info should be in the itinerary they said at customer service...nope, it was not there either!"
Pros: "How fast they had us in the air (5 min early)."
Cons: "In their rush to leave, they didn't communicate with the on board crew about overhead bins and I was forced to check a priceless item that I purposely wanted with me in the cabin. The overheads were empty above my own seat. I wasn't allowed to go back and reclaim my bag because they had already taken it. And they were completely indifferent to my situation, which isn't surprising given they didn't understand the value of my item. Thus, I had a full blown panic attack for my entire 2 hour flight, my medicine being one of the items also in my now checked bag. It was too late, my bag was taken and thrown under the plane by the time it struck. And the flight attendants also had on perfume that brought on a tension headache due to my sensitivity to scents. Considering they work in a recycled air tube, this seems like a vast oversight on their part and should consider that not everyone can handle even the faintest of perfumes. It may not seem like a big deal to them, because mental illness is still seen as a made up thing, but it was enough of a trigger that I will not fly American Airlines again."
Pros: "Great crew"
Cons: "WiFi not working"
Cons: "My wife needed a wheelchair at arrival at ORD. Although 5 people needed wheelchairs only 2 were available! Then no one from Prospect was there to push them. We were at the farthest International Airport gate M20. After 10 minutes one "pusher" arrived and moved my wife to the bottom of the ramp, approximately 100 feet and left her sitting in the corridor unattended. Although I had 2 Rolla boards I had to push her the full distance to Immigration and Customs. Our bags were sitting on a stationary baggage conveyor, the last from our American Airline flight. It wasn't until we're were ready to leave Customs that 4 people from "Prospect" asked if they could help, saying that they were SORRY!! They had just been standing around. A year ago I had the exact same thing happen to me from gate M1 and my wife had to push me the full distance. BTW, I 'm 71 and my wife is 68."
Pros: "We boarded on time and we departed on time. We got into Chicago 30 minutes early. We recently acquired a AA credit card and we got 2 checked bags free and priority boarding (Group 5). In today's world your need priority boarding of some sort on AA or you risk not being able to store you bags in the overhead and may have to get it checked free to your final destination. Also, one of our checked bags had a painting in it that we purchased and the bag and painting arrived unharmed. Good job by AA baggage handlers."
Cons: "Cramped seating. Airlines seem to be moving seats closer together to be able to hold more passengers."
Pros: "The flight was quite emty and instead of packing everyone in the same area, we all had a row for ourselves which was very enjoyable. Flight crew was very nice"
Cons: "The interview by a British Airway agent before the flight. I have been to the USA many times and I totally understand this type of interview, but the agent was aggressive, asking questions that were totally irrelevant. She did not even care about why I was going to the USA or where I was staying. Se was rude and I was really unpleased by her attitude saying it was British Airways way off doing interviews. Again I have had many interviews before flying to the USA, never been a bad exerience before"
Pros: "Seats were overall comfortable, food was adequate, flight attendants where nice, and great selection of movies."
Cons: "We weren't able to choose seats at time of booking and AA gave my fiancee and I seats on different parts of the plane; AA employee suggested we ask other passengers to switch with us, which is not convenient or preferable--it shouldn't be difficult to put 2 people next to each other on such a large plane; almost 3 hour delay made a really long flight (over 10 hours) even longer causing us to miss our connecting flight; boarding passes where reissued but we had to pay extra baggage fees since AA transferred to a different airline and didn't provide vouchers or other ways to cover baggage fees which where originally covered by the ticket; new boarding passes didn't include our TSA precheck status which was on our original boarding passes, so would have had to go back to ticket counter to get boarding passes reissued or go through regular security line--both inconvenient and time consuming-- would be nice if AA paid more attention o these details"
Pros: "Staff was courteous. Plane was clean."
Cons: "It was a very grueling trip. Plane left Rome at 9:15a but that meant getting there at 7:15a. Plane was kept dark even though it was daylight outside. Staff was courteous but did not particularly demonstrate awareness of the strain on the travelers being cramped for 10+ hours. Plane was so cramped that one could not take a stretch walk down the aisles to alleviate muscle cramp being in same position for 10 hours. My ultimate destination was San Jose, CA, but that entailed a wait at O'Hare from 12:30p to 8p. Again, staff uninterested in traveler comfort in these parameters. American felt okay to delay my last leg from Chicago to San Jose an hour later than original scheduled, but offered no compensation for the addition to my discomfort. The switch from British Airways to American was a surprise. New flight numbers, change increased my travel stress. I am only 5'3" and not obese, yet could not really fit in my seat: kept getting bumped by passers by in aisle. Airline uninterested in passenger comfort."
Pros: "The complementary wine was nice. The raspberry sponge cake was nice. Nice options for entertainment."
Cons: "No one in the entire airport knew what flight I was talking about when I told them it was Iberia + flight number. People were saying I must have the wrong airport. I almost missed my flight because of this. Everything was through American airlines. It would have been nice to know this going in. Also it was tough doing transfers because once again, none of the departure screens refer to "Iberia flights." It was also tough to check-in. Instructions were not clear in terms of the booking number to use. The Iberia app had a lot of usability problems. The seats are too cramped. I'd have to take out a loan to be able to afford business class or 1st class. It's absolutely horrible for everyone in coach. Especially for long flights as this one. The food was subpar, but that is to be expected in my opinion. Would have been nice to offer complementary headphones. I wasn't able to utilize the entertainment because my headphones are blue tooth. Upon arrival, we had to sit on the tarmac for 20 minutes because there was another airplane in our spot."
Cons: "Check in staff was unprepared for volume of people. When asking an American Airlines agent if I could use the priority check in because I had priority seating I was told no. I was informed by a customer going that way that I indeed could. When I got in line for the priority check in, the agent looked over and very loudly said that I was in the wrong check in area. Given the volume at which it was said to me I felt embarrassed, and was upset at the fact that I then had to respond that I indeed was in the correct location."
Pros: "Having flown long haul with American numerous times, this time I was pleasantly surprised by several things. Firstly, the brand new plane with excellent in-seat entertainment choices, power points at every seat, more comfortable chairs with better head rests and even window dimmers vs. window shades, allowing you to look outside the whole flight. Secondly, the food was much improved...definitely better quality and tastier than typical airline food. And thirdly, better service from flight attendants who actually smiled. Keep up the good work. This represents a real step change."
Pros: "Flight crew was excellent."
Cons: "We booked flights through British Airways but flew American Airlines. The check in process was a stressful mess: we were forced to stand in long customer service lines both on our first flight from LAX to Chicago and again during our very short layover in Chicago to Dublin to ensure that our bags were checked all the way to our final destination. Very stressful, and it didn't help that the gate crew was extremely rude and unprofessional. It is very inconvenient that we could not choose our seats beforehand."
Pros: "The crew was very helpful at each stop even though they weren't responsible for the disasters."
Cons: "Initially we thought we were flying with British Airways. We then had to do some digging to realize it was all out of American Airlines. Then we couldn't get proper boarding passes and luggage tags until one of the crew members spent a significant amount of time untangling each leg of our trip so they were in the proper order. We got delayed by 4 hours in Chicago and missed our connection in Manchester. We had another 5 hour wait there. By the time we got to Dublin, our bags didn't also arrive. After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived but without all of our stuff."
"Seats are small"
Pros: "Friendly crew, comfortable seats, good boarding process!"
Pros: "The plane was nice."
Cons: "The crew was kind of slack. They didn't have aqua con gas. The toilets were not kept clean."
Cons: "The condition of the flight attendants should be improve so that they not appear to be grouchy all the time. My video display was not functioning, when I asked for help the flight attendant seemed offended. He went to the back and did get it fixed. I thanked him, but he did not even look at me."
Pros: "Very personable"
Cons: "Delay in Madrid -"
Cons: "to be able to be on that flight, A delay from Malaga threw everything off."
Pros: "They have badest customer service becouse i want extended my way back to chicago they did not talk to me as customer but every time call they hand off the phone more then 3 times i will not fly again with this plane"
Cons: "To be honest, i feel like your pricing is very misleading. I was not prepared to pay $60 per bag in luggage fees. For an international flight, I believe your site should be much more clear in stating whether the fees paid will include luggage or not. I will consider other options in the future to avoid this unpleasant surprise at the airport."
Cons: "I couldn't check in online because I don't have 2 surnames. I arrived at Granada airport early to allow plenty of time to check-in. So did about a thousand other people. There was only one person available to check everyone in for Iberia. It was grateful. Plane was old. Not even a glass of water was offered."
Cons: "We booked flights with more than 75 mins connection time in Madrid but then the airline changed their schedule which reduced our connection to less than 55 mins. I was traveling alone with my 5 & 7 year old and we had to run non-stop from our 1st domestic flight to the international one, changing terminals, passing passport control (huge lines), and another security. No help from Iberia at all in terms of providing any assistance like a shuttle bus, quick passage thru passport or security. And they were nonchalant in terms of “if you miss your connecting flight, it’s your problem...”. Come on, we paid $4,500 for 3 tickets, and deserve better customer service than this, specially when you changed the flight schedule for your operational reasons!"
Cons: "Changed our seat without notification and didn't help. We talked to 4 gate agents, the boarding gate agent and 3 crews, and they didn't try to help, at all. The pillow had coffee stains and eye make up, even though they were wrap in plastic...."
Cons: "Missed connection due to Iberia. Rerouted to JFK after overnight delay and had to transfer to Newark. Upon arrival at Newark, which we had to arrange, we were notified that the flight was changed back to JFK. Turned a 12 hour travel day into 36. Horrid experience."
Pros: "Plenty of space for a long flight, left and landed on time. Overall very pleased"
Cons: "Only complaint is that there was not dairy-free friendly food option for either meal. I figured this would happen so I brought my own food and was glad I did"
Pros: "The color that crew members wear"
Cons: "I arrived 2 hr.30 min and regardless of having bought my ticket long time ago, October, I was placed standby because an overbooking of the plane. The agent in the counter claimed that they could do that because was "legal to overbook". One of the agents at the gate when I went to get my seat indicated that I paid for a "cheap ticket" and that I should take whatever seat they have left. I was given 46E. I was thrown my food on my table. I asked for the pasta option because I do not eat beef. She said: "That's what we have, we do not have more food. You are flying economy class". I was mistreated badly."
Cons: "The lack of legroom is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I am 5’10 and my knees were planted firmly in the seat in front of me. I’ve had 5 knee surgeries so this made the tight squeeze even worse. Furthermore, the inability to move is cause of blood clots."
Cons: "It was hard to find where to go in the Madrid airport.and arrived only just in time to the check in. I was singled out before getting on the plane to be frisked, etc. One said there was something written on my boarding passes that was an alert. I am a 64 year old woman traveling alone....no plans for anything bad to be sure!"
Pros: "The staff was very friendly, polite and attentive"
Cons: "Bumpy ride in parts."
Pros: "Arriving safely on time."
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats, unable to adjust temperature individually, huge temperature swings from hot to cold and back to hot, terrible food, impersonal crew service."
Pros: "The plane from Nashville was over an hour late so the flight was changed from Nashville-Philadelphia-London-Rome"
Pros: "the food"
Pros: "Food was good Entertainment system is very good. Good selection of movies with good sound Crew does a fine job"
Cons: "I am an American who flew roundtrip Chicago - Madrid. We (family of 3) still haven't received our lost luggage from 2 weeks ago. When we checked in at Madrid, one staff told us to ask about the luggage downstairs at the luggage retrieval, which we are not allowed into. I came back and another staff woman told us to immediately go through immigration, because it takes so long to get through. Since our luggage appears to be lost for good, we will never take Iberia again. Madrid airport is a nightmare! We arrived at Madrid airport 2 hr 20 min. before our flight. Because the distance from the check-in counter to the plane is unbelievably far, and we all have to wait in very long lines, and then take multiple trains, escalators, and finally a bus, and U.S. passengers have their passports checked twice in long lines, we got on to the plane barely in time, on "last call" 30 min. before it took off. We will never fly through Madrid again! On any other trip from Spain overseas, we will choose some other city in Spain to leave from."
Pros: "The prive"
Cons: "Even though there were rows of empty seats we were assigned the very last row. The flight attendants were clanging and banging right behind us though there was no food or drink service. The seats are too close together leaving no leg room for this six footer to sit with any comfort level. We won't do that again."
Pros: "We left on time."
Cons: "We had to move to a different gate on arrival and that was an additional hour waiting. Felt like a sardine, absolutely no leg room. Had to pay extra to book a seat on an international flight."
Cons: "I didn't have any video for over two hours. I had to speak to 4 different crew members to get them to reset my monitor. They were not very friendly."
Pros: "For a long haul, Iberia's standard class was fine and the seat actually had more room than I expected (having flown them in Europe). One flight attendant was AWESOME and helped me out when my gluten-free meal didn't arrive. I would say she went from ok to friendly so maybe not AWESOME but compared to the other flight attendants who weren't friendly at all, she was good."
Cons: "1. My gluten-free meal didn't arrive. AA pulled the same nonsense when I went from LAX to LHR. It is pretty infuriating. 2. My entertainment screen failed about 1/2 way through the flight. I came prepared but it was still annoying. 3. I pre-paid for a seat which was a hassle because the transaction failed with a cryptic message online and I had to call. When I went to check-in, I had a window, not aisle and was positioned at the very back of the plane. I requested a refund on the phone and that wasn't allowed so I tweeted (as they adverstise) and now filled a claim. Still no response."
Pros: "Was surprised to be upgraded to business class, so it was effectively the most comfortable flight I've ever been on!"
Pros: "The terminal at the Madrid airport has good shopping and dining options, but it's rather far and took ~25-30min to get there (including a short wait at the custom control."
Cons: "The check in took an awfully long time, the agent took 25-30 min to finalize our boarding pass."
Pros: "Surprisingly, Iberia provided the best experience of the overall itinerary, compared to Aer Lingus and American Airlines"
Cons: "Boarding in Barajas was chaotic, boarding group number signs are not visible and gate audio could not be heard"
Cons: "Wasn't informed about this being an American airlines flight. No prior information given. Restroom in the plane was dirty and smelly. Did not give me a landing card even when told that I don't have a UK passport."
Pros: "Everything was pretty good"
Cons: "The seats were kind of tight."
Cons: "My flight was delayed for 2 hours they changed the gate # My notifications in my phone were wrong overall poor management My seat was behind a couple with two children that cried and cried and screamed during the flight, couldnt sleep not even with the headphones helped listening to those children crying. Iberia offered to check in my luggage so i can pick it up at my final destination, but my bag never made it. Had to wait two days woth no clothes or work items i needed in my luggage. Overall a very bad experience with iberia"
Pros: "Good selection of entertainment and crew was very nice."
Cons: "We had to sit on the plane for almost an hour because our gate wasn't ready."
Cons: "Staff was not friendly"
Cons: "My ticket said operated by British Airways so after an hour of standing in line - why there were two agents baffles me-- I was told to go stand in the Iberia one. I went to a kiosk and it didn't recognize my flight, so I finally got ahold of someone. The night before I was unable to check in because their site had crashed, so there was no way for me to know where to go."
Pros: "No nonsense all business crew. Barajas airport."
Cons: "Chaotic boarding. A large crowd was allowed to clog gate access, and no announcements were made regarding boarding procedures therefore as a preboarding family with toddler we had to push through the crowd to accessential the gate. It seems boarding status announcements could have alleviated the boarding tension."
Pros: "Take-off and landing was timely."
Cons: "Really disappointed with a lack of service. On the 8 hour flight we had one meal service within an hour of take-off and one within an hour of landing. No water or checks or anything for almost 6 straight hours, unlike my prior flight. I had to finally get up and ask for water. Very disappointed."
Pros: "Very comfortable and friendly crew."
Cons: "They start boarding on time, but inexplicably kept people waiting on the jetbridge and did not allow anyone to actually pass through the airplane doors."
Pros: "Seats were not as bad/tiny as expected although they would not recline at all. We were served 2 meals on our overseas flight. That was also a surprise."
Cons: "Seats did not recline Could not hear boarding instructions."
Pros: "I had the next seat empty next to the window so I can sleep more comfortably. The entertainment selection was wonderful."
Cons: "The air conditioning was too cold. I was sneezing the whole trip."
Pros: "I felt rushed when eating. There was not enough time to eat when they were coming to offer more bread and coffee. They were in a hurry to pick up. Food was short"
Cons: "I am filing a complaint for my recent flight from Madrid to Chicago, IL on 2/26/17. During my flight, a five year old sat in front of me who was disruptive throughout the whole 9 hour flight. He was yelling and slamming on his tray table nonstop. This made it hard to sleep or relax on the flight. He was disruptive to everyone in the whole cabin. I tried to be patient, as it was a child, but when the child started climbing the seats of the row and kicking his legs in the aisle, I had to act. Not only was the child a hazard to the well being of the passengers of the flight, but he could have hurt himself. His parents did not seem to act on his behavior and did not speak my language so I was forced to approach the flight attendant in my cabin. I told the attendant, “N. Cara” as her name tag stated, how concerned I was with the child’s safety and how he was disrupting the flight experience of all the passengers on the flight. She was disgruntled as I was the third passenger to approach her. Instead of acting on the situation, she scolded me. In a rude and derogatory tone, she yelled at me claiming she couldn’t do anything and I should just move to a different seat. She yelled so loud she attracted the attention of all the passengers around. I am shocked and disappointed with the treatment and customer service I received from the crew on this flight. Furthermore, I recommend that the airline should ensure that their employees are competent enough to deal with situations where passenger’s safety are at risk. The fact that the crew member did not attempt to approach the child’s mother or address the situation at all was appalling. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to address disturbances or safety precautions on a flight. I do not think I was treated well on this flight and I am very unhappy with the services I received and paid a great amount of money for. I believe I should be compensated for the mistreatment I endured. This may have been the worst flight I have ever had and I do not plan on choosing Iberia Airlines ever again due to this experience."
Pros: "The entertainment was good and some flight attendants were very polite."
Cons: "The last thing I would ever expect from a flight attendant is negligent behavior. A child aged around 5 years old clearly unattended by parents throughout the entire 9 1/2 hour flight to Chicago was not only being disruptive but his behavior could have placed him in danger. From banging the table shut successively against the chair, to walking on top of the seat and placing his hands in the monitor behind him not allowing me to see my screen. Furthermore, his feet and legs dangled and kicked the person immediately next to him across the aisle, creating a dangerous environment for himself and for others as he could have gotten hurt from somebody or a cart passing through. I proceeded to express my concern for the child's safety and the flight attendant expressed these matters are delicate and refused to engage the parent in any type of conversation. This child's screams and incessant yelling lasted the entirety of my flight, hindering ANYBODY from sleeping or watching their entertainment without interruption. Hopefully in the future when faced with not only an extremely disruptive family but a clinically uneasy child, flight attendants will make an effort to at least announce the importance of respecting other people's flight experience. Needless to say this is the very last time I ever fly Iberia. This matter was not only brought to the crew's attention once but three times by three different people."
Pros: "Not a full flight so I had to seats to speak out. Flight attendants were friendly and it didn't seem like a 10+ hour flight."
Cons: "I wish there was a quicker flight between LAX - Europe."
Pros: "Good Entertainment, ."
Cons: "Iberia Airlines The flight attendants on the Iberia section of the flight from Madrid to Chicago could have cared less. The plane was late and the crew could have cared less. They fasten seat belt sign was on way way too long with no turbulence so they did not have to open the bar. They would not serve vodka from the cart and you needed to go to the back of the aircraft for it. Will not fly Iberia again. ."
Pros: "The crew was very nice. Madrid is always a great airport and Iberia is it's top airline."
Cons: "Entertainment opitions weren't great. Crew service with beverages didn't come around nearly as much as a company like Lufthansa or United, etc."
Pros: "My flight was transferred from Kayak to Iberia to American to another third party who would not answer questions and who did not send any confirmation info at all. Boarding should be from the back first to speed it up. It was not. Crew did not have wide variety of refreshments. Seats were much too narrow and there was no leg room. Food helpings were much too small for a long flight. Controls very poor."
Pros: "The attendants/crew were kind and efficient"
Cons: "worst seat on the plane. Off center from the isle. Off center tv. drop down table not available due to interference with service carts. Bumped into often by everyone that passes. Next to the bathrooms. 8+ hours of extraordinarily uncomfortable travel. I am 5'4 110 and fit easily in small spaces"
Pros: "These were actually American Airline Flights 90 and 89. I really had a very good experience with American and though they tend to be more expensive they seem to be worth it in terms of comfort and amenities. I am willing to spend the extra money on Anerican if they continue to provide better than average service."
Cons: "I was wondering why I paid Iberia for an American Airline ticket. I wondered if this was some way to avoid paying taxes by funneling an US registered corporation fees through a Spanish registered corporation. It didn't make sense to me. I'm not a huge fan of legal games to avoid responsibilities. Still, very good flights."
Pros: "The crew was fabulous! And the ride was on time and had plenty of entertainment."
Cons: "My only complaint is that the seats were very tight in the economy class. We were packed like cattle. I know these were the "cheap" seats but for almost $1500 I would hope for a bit more comfort."
