Pros: "On my way back home I noticed that there was ONE seat that was empty in First Class as I boarded the plane. I asked the flight attendant about it and she said that I would have to go back up to the ticket agent to inquire there. So I did, and I was told when I walked back up the ramp to that kiosk that the ticked agent had just Closed The Flight. So, the other lady who was standing right there said that she had to escort a minor on to the flight and that she would accompany me back to the airplane and see if she could help. She did, and when we got back to hand off the minor to the flight crew she then inquired about that seat. It was agreed that the seat was going to be vacant, and since I am a 6' 1", 250 pound man, they all thought it would be a nice thing to allow me to sit in that first class seat at no extra charge! Wow!! What a difference that made on the 4 hour flight! Thank You Alaska Airlines for helping me out and hooking me up! I will remember that when I am booking my next trip!!"

Cons: "in Guadalajara, during boarding the cabin was inundated with mosquitoes (I mean not just a few, but many hundred at least). Passengers were simultaneously swatting mosquitoes from the first row to the last row. The mosquitoes then joined us for the duration of the flight; well many of them were swatted as evidenced by the bloody mosquito parts left on the walls and overhead bins. I don't blame the cabin crew for this event, especially since they had to endure it as well. However the attitude was that things like this are just part of flying these days, along with lousy food and shrinking leg room. I guess that's the truth of it though. Also not to be over-reactive but there is a public health component to this; Mexico had 805 cases of zika in 2017. And although in general we may be more at risk from a local mosquito that has fed on an already infected tourist, we should make an attempt to limit the introduction of any infectious vectors.."

I had to put my carry-on halfway to the back of the plane because other people couldn't deal with having one of their two bags under the seat in front of them. Then I had to wait till three quarters of the passengers had disembarked to get my bag. Crappy treatment for a "premium" seat."

Flew with a 1st class upgrade to DFW and upon missing the connection to DSM (imputable to AA) I would have expected AA to have me await my later conection (3 hrs AA 2488) in the Admiral’s club especially after having paid for the upgrade. Instead, the bozo at the Admiral’s Club entrance in Terminal A A23 indicated that only Mexico City passengers were allowed into the Club even if as a GDL passenger I had a 1st class boarding pass. Poor and misguided management of the moment of truth on behalf of your employee with a 1 Million Miler customer. My experience recently with Delta and United has been with more open minded, customer centric and better trained airline staff. Disappointing and hope someone will read this and let me know that my note was heard. What is next?"

Had to go to a ticket desk at first departure and third departure points to have them printed, with no explanations given. Also not allowed to choose our seats for the third leg. Food was barely edible. Paid extra for roomier seats on one leg, making it more comfortable, but were extremely tight on another leg which had many empty seats scattered throughout the cabin. Cabin attendants seemed more interested in pushing items that generated revenue than providing the ones that came with the ticket (which is never cheap to begin with)."

We got to the gate for our connecting flight 9 minutes before the pushed back from the ramp and they would not let us on??? WTF poor customer service!! Fly southwest from now on!"

Cons: "Although i know this was beyond the control of the crew on board, the airline could have done a better job of at least establishing a presence and taking questions. When our flight was diverted to the Houston airport due to weather we were kept grounded because we were an international flight. Then told to get to terminal A after getting through customs. No one mentioned that terminal A was a ways away, and once we got there the line was already over 100 people deep from all the other diverted flights. No one from American Airlines attempted to address people standing in line to keep us informed or check in with us. I stood in line for three and a half hours before finally getting an announcement that there would be a bus to take us back to the DFW airport. This was a 4 hour bus ride, effectively ruining my plans during my long layover. Never did anyone from the airlines address us or helped navigate. Just pointed us in a general direction and washed their hands of it."

Eventually it seemed to be switched off once we hit the clouds and we seemed to sort of coast quietly for a minute or so - also alarming to everyone judging by the non-verbal behavior that suddenly everyone was exhibiting. Then it came back on again but only at half the volume. Nothing was mentioned about it by the captain or crew so I spent the rest of the flight wondering if the engine was going to give out part way through the flight."

During the two hour delay I could have used it !! Poor service I will fly American from now on !!!!!!!!!!!"

They should pay for my first night at my hotel at least."
Cons: "I already wrote what I had to write. 4 delays and then cancellation! Are you kidding me? Had itinerary planned for Friday Night and that got ruined because of United Airlines stupid logistics. I will never fly United! Give me a voucher ! Give me something. Aren't even offering a cab for me to take from Jersey to LaGuardia. It's your fault people. Enough said."

Cons: "Sat at gate for over an hour sweating profusely because a/c wasn't working.after 45 minutes was served half glasses of water. Made second attempt to depart gate and had to go right back. Then told to disembark plane and wait for replacement. Boarded it at 8:50, arriving Dallas at 11:50, 3.5 hours late missing all prearranged transportation with 0 apologies. Had to make my own arrangements to complete my trip at significant expense to myself and 0 assistance from Airlines."

Cons: "Agent at the counter didn't look into my passport properly so when I landed in Dfw they rejected so I couldn't fly international so I had to buy another ticket and fly back to denver. Cost me my time and money which I could have avoided only if your ticket agent checked my passport properly knowing about my international flight. Very disappointed."

Pros: "Flight was smooth and on time"
Cons: "We booked these flights and made our seating assignments when we booked months ago, but all six of us (my spouse and 4 kids ages 15, 13, 9 and 7 and myself) were forced to all sit separately on our longer connecting flight and not in our assigned seats that we had booked and reserved months ago. My kids were scared to have to sit by strangers. No one offered to switch with us so at least the younger kids could sit by their parents. The steward, Tim was rude and snooty and annoying."

Cons: "We were suppose to depart around 7:20pm and ended up departing at 10pm. Was said they magically had 4 brocken seats over the past flight! Did not like the waiting period and how they managed it."

Cons: "The flight left Houston late. The check in process was fine, we were asked to check our bags because the flight was full. Once on board and seated the flight attendant came on and said there were 5 bags without the proper tags for people to claim. How could they have improper tags when the person at the gate was giving the tags out? Four bags were claimed and with 1 bag (blue) left the flight attendants asked us 3 more times "whose bag it was?". When no one claimed the bag one more person from United came down the isle holding the bag asking everyone one last time. I heard him say "I was told to do this". At this time 4 more people boarded late. I thought after a certain amount of time boarding would end?"

Pros: "Nothing to like, to be honest. 1hr delay and making my wife swap seats."
Cons: "I HATED the way my wife and I got split up from Houston to Dallas. Stewardess was NO help. They actually moved my wife to a different seat so they could put a mom and baby next to me. WHY NOT MOVE US BOTH!!??"

Pros: "There were hundreds of us in O'Hare during an ice issue. I got out 20 hours later by flying standby on a bigger plane to a city 279 miles from my airport (and my car and luggage). What was edifying during those very tiring 20 hours was this - no one, United or we passengers was rude or disrespectful. Were we (staff and passengers) all worn out and tired and frustrated? You bet. Everyone kept an attitude of acceptance for the 20 hours I was at O'Hare. Very impressive - civilization has a bright future."

The rule for boarding is that the flight closes 15 minutes before departure, which would have been 12:10. Omar Rivera, argued with us for minutes and did not let us board. Horrible service"

For example I was running 10 minutes late from when I found out that they were boarding the flight and none of the people from the checking stands where telling me what I could do or were to go. That's when they started pulling people that were flying to LA(flight 918) out of the line to check them in so they could board. I didn't like the fact that once we boarded the plane, we sat for 40 minutes. Not moving at all. The entire flight was bumpy, although not the pilots fault. Very uncomfortable. We were skipped for no reason when the flight crew was handing out the customs paper. Then we were also skipped when they were handing out the drinks and food(which isn't free anymore). Not even water was free"
