Cons: "We were left at Waco Regional Airport at 1AM and transporation was not arranged util nearly 430 in the morning. There was no sun country staff to assist with travel arrangements. We were abandoned at a closed airport for hours. Eventually, I got the one and only uber still running in waco to drive me at 330am from waco to dallas. There has been no reinbursement of fares or compensation for lost wages, time and the general annoyance that being awake all night long caused. And when the person in the row in front of me puts their seat back I have my tray smashed into my rib cage. Also, the airlines, not just Suncountry MUST do something about this carry on policy! With everyone trying to believe they can stuff their "carry on" into the overheads is causing delays and headaches for those of us who realize it's best for all to check one's bags."

Took WAY too long to get wheelchairs to unload passengers off the plane that was to take us to Dallas. Sat on the tarmac for additional 20 min. Delay cost me an additional 2 1/2 hours later in Dallas and FIVE hours in London airport!!"

I don't know why they don't load the rear seats first so you don't have to wait for everyone ahead to secure their carry-on luggage. Upon arriving in Houston, baggage claim was VERY slow. Small flight of less than 30 people. Southwest had 3 flights arrive and complete baggage claims by the time our bags became available. Airport personnel confirmed that it is typical or normal for American because they operate with a small "skeleton" ground crew. Flight arrived just after 11:20pm,, but wasn't able to head out for transportation until after 12:30am. VERY upset and disappointed with service."

Cons: "Plane was scheduled to depart at 8:20 pm it was then delayed until 8:58 pm due to weather. We all boarded the plane and were ready for take off when a maintenance issue was discovered. We all deplaned and we’re told we would be put on a new plane arriving from Seattle set to depart at 11:30 pm. This departure time was delayed until 1:35 am and then 2:35 am because the captain had timed out and we would need to wait for a new pilot. Also due to the first delay everything was coded as “weather” and customer service was unable to give hotel rooms. This miscommunication between corporate and passengers and the late night created lots of frustration. Instead of being helpful or honest customer service called security on the disgruntled passengers. I heard no threats of violence just elevated voices. At midnight Frontier began handing out meal vouchers (15 dollars to McDonald’s) as a way to increase morale. I finally gave up and requested a refund, got a hotel, and a new flight on a different airline (all Frontier flights the next day were sold out). When I asked what would happen to my checked luggage they said it would be sent to Dallas (my destination) or I could pay for it to be sent back to Denver. The flight and my luggage arrived in Dallas at 5:30 am. Paid $400 for Southwest flight the next day (flying into different Dallas airport away from my parked car and luggage) just for the guaranteed service."
Cons: "I had pre checked in but when I got to the gate (on time for the flight but late in the boarding process) they didn't make an announcement for last calls or for any checked in passengers so I missed my flight. They were changing over the signs for the next flight, so it still read my destination, but the time was an hour later so I thought it had been delayed."
Cons: "Kayak screwed up the dates and had me leaving Denver at the same time I was leaving Dallas on the same day."

At that time, there was NO ONE at the Frontier check in to explain what was going on. I understand there was excessive wind in Denver, but there should have at least been a Frontier representative at the gate in Dallas. On my way home, again the flight was delayed by an hour because of something on a previous leg. Because of this, I am going to go with any other airline first. I think Frontier should either co-op with other airlines to get people to their destinations on time or have more planes.......or AT LEAST have someone at the gate to offer next day service or a voucher or a free snack or something. I also do not like the whole A LA CARTE theme with this airline and Spirit Air. I do not like that I was going to be charged for a coffee or a coke. The whole thing is too confusing, and I am going to pay more for an American, United or Southwest flight next time."

There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."

I was told I had to be rebooked on another flight to the tune of $99 plus $30 baggage fee. Since I had no other choice I rebooked for a flight NINE hours later. After all this I was sent to TWO different WRONG gates nearly missing that flight. At least I got an apology for that. The wrong gate fiasco was because Frontier shares gates with Jet Blue and Spirit. I could not hear the gate change announcements because I am hearing impaired. A lovely way to spend a day in Denver!"

I then had to pay $40 x 2 for my little carry on bag, which was ridiculous. I plan never to fly with you again."

After delay the staff was offering complimentary beverages due to the delay...(how much does it really cost to offer water & sodas?) So I would have been charged for a cup of water??? The staff seemed rude and several times I was nudged, slammed, bumped into (I was in an aisle seat) and ever was acknowledged by the crew members who did it. It just seems overall that it was all about the money that the employees are unhappy and that it is not about the satisfaction of the client. First and last time I'll travel with you...."

I really liked how they waited till literally the last min an said your bag that you have used on your 8,564 previous flights to date. Is now 65$ to put in the same exact spot you were going to put your bag to begin with.. the same bag I’ve used for a shade under two decades of travel."

Bought ticket day in advance with insurance for this reason. checked in several hours in advance itenary machine could not print duplicate messed up several people days with not putting us on our flight. An then charging me 100$ more to secure the seat on the next flight. When all they had to do was print the item ready. I had meetings scheduled days in advance I missed that were worth 50x this entire ticket. An the airline doesn’t even know who it is that sells the insurance.? That’s a strait up scam.. worst airline in years. From the experience an the staff all the way around I was embarrassed to say I used this airline. If I had to guess on anything I think it’s close to being the next airline to hit the scrap yard. No one in this air line is committed to they’re work. I’ve always said “ Experience is the best teacher in anything”. An I’ve learned enough from this one...."
Cons: "Customer service is the worst. I called to modify my flight because lax traffic, after a myriad of options which included a 20hr flight (3hr non stop is what I had) or driving to Vegas to catch a 17hr flight, I was told “well at least your ticket was cheap” by their customer service agent. Worst airline out there, do not use them. On my flight to lax I see how they conveniently charge you less for your bags at the ticketing area where you have no way to check how big your bag is because there isn’t a receptacle like most airlines have to check them. So if you take the chance of your bag being considered a personal item vs a carry on (that costs $55) then you will surely find that receptacle at the actual gate to check your bag where they will charge you $100 no matter what. Perfect setup for the revenue they need."

Cons: "Fear of additional "surprise" fees (carry on, print boarding pass fee, just the unknown many possible threats I read online while doing my online checkin. The first two Kiosks I used "froze" while getting my boarding pass. I spent a frustrating 90 minutes getting set up with a FF account and getting checked in. "ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL" and I saved $$$ !"

Cons: "You literally have to pay for every little thing. No complimentary drink. A cup of noodles is $3.50! Really?! I'm 5ft 3in and my knees were hitting the back of the seat in front of me. I feel sorry for anyone taller. At the end of you flight, a flight attendant comes on the intercom and gives a 5 minute speech about applying for a spirit credit card. It work my new born up both times."

I still arrived at my gate with 5 min to spare and they said the plane departed a few min before the posted time, ergo I had missed it by 90 seconds. they routed me to Dallas and I got in 3 hours after I was supposed to. Not dependable!"

There was a miscommunication with crew about boarding zones, and no entertainment on the flight. The food and drink is overpriced and there is a terrible selection. I won't ever fly Spirit again."
Cons: "My flight was over 45 minutes late and yet the employees at the gate could not be troubled to make any kind of announcement. If you took the initiative to ask on your own as to where the plane was, they could tell you "it is late and can be up to an hour late but we don't know why." The flight board was not updated to reflect the delay until well after boarding time. It always feels so good to be left in the dark."
Pros: "This flight originated out of Portland to Las Vegas and then to Los Angeles where it was scheduled to depart to Dallas at 10:31 am. Initially at 9:45 when I checked in at 9:40 I was told the flight was delayed until 2:30 pm. Then when I called Spirit at 12:40 pm after receiving an e-mail from Kayak that the flight was cancelled I was told that I had 2 options: (1) To fly to Vegas where I would connect at 1:50 am and arrive in Dallas at 6:30 am or to receive a refund. The next day arrival into Dallas was not possible or acceptable so I chose the refund.. Later I found out that other passengers were booked on other flights, offered a $25.00 food voucher, and a $50 credit to be used within 60 days. I found this out after I had already booked another flight on American Airlines and when I spoke with a Spirit ticket agent they said that you made a decision so ther isn't anything that they (Spirit) could do. It cost me an additional $200.00 dollars to get to Dallas 9 hours later. What a way to be treated by Spirit Airlines after they knew the flight was cancelled when it never left Portland. My husband is a 21 year Army Officer and we travel ofter (1st time with Spirit) and we have never been treated with such disrespect. Thank You Susan Boyko"

Cons: "When our flight was going to be late which meant that we would miss our connecting flight in Texas had us sit in the airport all night long for 13 1/2 hours. The desk people were very rude to us and were not helpful at all ."
Cons: "We went to check in at the airport and the flight was delayed because the flight crew was going to be late. This caused the connecting flight to be missed. So after paying $180 for a hotel room the night before, the flight was rescheduled from 1030 AM to 9:30 PM. The Spirit flight check in personnel offered a refund, which would be no good for getting home. So instead of getting to Orlando at 7:30 pm, the arrival time was now 8 AM the following day. This was so very frustrating, we will never FLY SPIRIT Airlines again."

Cons: "Return flight was horrible. Was delayed twice, then moved off of the first plane due to technical issues. Got onto a second plane only to be taken off once again and the flight was then canceled. They canceled all flights to my destination and originally would only refund the portion of my ticket for the return flight. The only consolation was they gave in and put everyone in a hotel and flew us out the next day."

Cons: "plane departs at 650 arrived at check it at 620 was told I wouldnt make the flight and if i wanted to get on the next flight it was going to be 150$ - original flight was 35$ one way .. i had a round trip ticket - after spending 120 to add bags and pic a seat for my return flight . i had to call American to book another flight for 87$. upon returning home - i found out that spirit canceled my whole reservation becasue i decided not to spend the extra 150$ to rebook with them for my outbound flight - so they canceled my whole reservation ! I then last minute had to book American again for 60$ . Needless to say they had no problem taking my money to reserve seats and pay for bags on my return flight - which they will not refund. I WILL NEVER USE SPIRIT ! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ."

Cons: "We were stuck in Atlanta. They could not open the cabin door for over a 1/2 hour. Then they could not scan the new passengers in at Alanta. We waited about a hour to clear that up. We did not leave the plane. My concern is what if there had been an emergency? My husband has dementia. I kept him calm. What if someone else on the plane had an emergency. There is cause then for a law suit."

The worst part is they lost my luggage. When they tell you it's time to board they speak too quiet. We almost missed our flight."
