The whole experience cost me the loss of a $3500 ticket, a $600 tickets, a $100 for a rental car, and the loss if my NY Eve plans. They dont care. Do not fly Avianca. Delta or Alaska would never treat a passenger thos way. Beware the Star Alliance. I will give up my Gold status with United in 2020 as a result of the behaviour of their so-called 'partner' airline. Imagine if I had been traveling with my family?! Wow!"

We decided to stay at our seat and just enjoy the ride."

Absolutely ridiculous, it was about 20-30 passengers that were denied boarding, including us. They sent us on a plane through Bogota, then to Medellín, arriving 7 hours later and only with a dumb breakfast voucher. I spoke to them that I had an important medical appointment for which I was travelling for, it did not matter. They made no no accommodations whatsoever."

Delay was terrible staff didn’t inform you, staff were rude and unfriendly. The plane was a piece of junk and extremely dirty on tv no headset. We got serviced a meal and nothing else no tea, coffee, beverages it was disgusting. I had a connecting flight with Aer Lingus and I informed the staff I had missed it due to the delay and they didn’t care they said if your not happy go somewhere else I was totally disappointed as I was going home for my mother’s funeral. I will not recommend Aer Lingus not a happy customer
The airplane was freezing the whole time, and the entertainment systems were glitchy. (They also weren't touch-screen, so there weren't any games.) The food was nice, and the crew was very helpful with answering questions and providing blankets (although I was still very cold, even with the blanket).

Result - we had to rebook at our cost for the following day and pay for another night in a hotel."

We told him to look up on google, and he kept on saying we were wrong! After 3 hours go by, he tells "oops, it's cancelled". We wasted nearly 5 hours with Kayak to try and get different seats, and then Kayak gave my wife and I seats that are not sitting together. If Kayak, looked on google, and actually tried to help I would've had seats with my wife. So disappointing. Worst experience I've had with customer service and with a company. I'll never use Kayak again."

Two and a half days later, I have to return to the airport to pick it up. If you travel with AA, pack MORE than essentials in your carry-on! Also it is criminal that they charge extra for aisle seats!"

Pros: "We got delayed 2 hours, we got very early to the airport, went to the gate, all the sudden they change the gate number and didn't tell nobody, we got delayed 2 hours and they didn't say nothing. we had perfect weather in NY so I don't understand the delay. The crew members were not friendly, the airplane was so old, my daughter called "the dinosaur" is the airplanes from the 70"s . This was my first time flying with this airline and I don't think Ill do it again. We were going to a wedding in Madrid and we miss it for the delayed."

Cons: "AA lost my luggage for several days. This is unacceptable. It required my wife and I to spend money on items that were unnecessary. We could not obtain good information on whether they were lost or mis-routed. The worry of whether we should buys clothes, toiletries, etc. was a daily concern. Way to ruin a customer's vacation."

Cons: "-missed my connecting flight at 10pm due to weather. -waited in long line for customer service -received a phone number to book hotel -waited 30 minutes for shuttle -waited behind 8 people who checked into their rooms -when it was finally my turn they had not received my reservation and I was told to take a seat and wait, -eventually I called the booking number again, the call got dropped due to no service in the hotel lobby -I had to go outside to call after midnight! (a female alone) -finally after 45 minutes they received my reservation. -I didnt get to my room until 1am and had to get up at 5 to get the shuttle back to the airport -Frustrating and nerve racking experience"

Pros: "First time flying El Al. Hopefully my last. They delayed the flight to give three people - two of whom were ladies iver the age of fifty - intensive security screens. I was given one as well. They took my laptop, one of my pbones, my tanlet, and my headphones. This would havr neen bearable if El Al invested in its cabins, but that doesnt seem the case. The headphones provided were similar to models from the 90s (and worked just as well), there was no individual screen for entertainment, and the seats were exceedingly cramped. At least the Wi-Fi was free."

Cons: "Flight was delayed an hour leaving Chicago, and arrived an hour late in Madrid. The screen was not updated in Chicago to let us know what was going on. It's a mass of people at the gate, with very little systematic lining up. One luggage piece did not come out on the carousel in Madrid. We had to wait 1.5 hr at the airport to confirm that they would send it to our Madrid hotel. Hopefully it will come. The food was mediocre. Pasta for dinner with little to no meat. Not even fruit. They are clearly saving money on the food."

Both British airlines and Iberian airlines posted conflicting information as to the flight cancellation, hence affecting hotel reservations and proceeding flights. The whole process has been a nightmare. I will have serious reservations booking future flights with either airline. Very disappointed !"

Cons: "There were no vegetarian/pescatarian meals available so I literally ate bread rolls for dinner & the tv audio was broken. I paid $40 for 45 MB of WIFI so that I could work and the internet lasted about 10 minutes. i couldn't even send an email within that time. The tv screen itself kept flipping back down to the aisle. Finally, the temperature was freezing & the bathrooms were disgusting."

Cons: "The aircraft has air condition problem and they whole flight was extremely HOT!!!! Cabin crew paid very little attention to this until we were 4 hours into the flight and basically said there is nothing I can do. I call for the head of the cabin crew and she took 2 hours to come talk to me. I had to wait for here to come out from her flight nap in the crew quarters."

Cons: "Hard to see how anything could have been done about this, but on my flight every seat was taken (except the one next to me) so I thought I'd have a little extra leg room....NOT!!! Then a 300-lb guy sits in the seat next to me. So for 11 hours I'm trapped by this guy's huge bulk and it was difficult to move my legs around any; very unpleasant. And I paid $45 to get that window seat instead of my original seat that had been randomly assigned!! I wish that airlines provided a couple seats for tall people, because our height is a kind of disability given the cramped seating (which average height people complain about)."
