The crew was very kind and made going to Hawaii relaxing and fun to look forward to! Thank you Southwest for a pleasant flight!
I liked the crew member who gave flight instructions on "in case of a problem:. The seats are so small that only a young teenager could sit in middle seat.
I recently flew Southwest from San Jose to Honolulu. I was very impressed with the flight crew, especially the flight attendant in charge of the front of the plane. She came through the aisle at least five times for drinks and water, and two times for snacks. I have not seen such service since I flew first class. Also, for the first time, they gave us the correct baggage claim number, and the luggage came out quickly. I can't wait for Southwest to have assigned seating! I absolutely hate the Cattle Call boarding procedure and the mad dash to get seats and overhead bins. However, the boarding was efficient.

Boarding was quick. The flight itself was good. However, no charging ports for cell phones. Also, the food provided was just a few snacks. For a 5-hr flight, I would expect at least a sandwich.

I love the fact that Southwest airlines has a direct flight from Honolulu to Las Vegas and Las Vegas to Honolulu. The only downside was flying on Southwest is they do not provide meals even if they charged you they do not provide meals. They do provide a free snack that consists of chips pretzels cheese and a cookie. They do serve free drink and if you book the premium flight then you get your choice of an alcoholic beverage. The seats are small so if you are not traveling with three people plan on someone sitting next to you.
Price was right. Add power to the seats, television, larger plane to accommodate a long flight to improve mental health and overall comfort for a 5 hour flight.
The flight attendant and first class were very friendly, efficient, and wanted to make sure that service was great. Highly recommend this airline.
Our flight when we finally got rerouted to a different destination than we were going was fine. But 2 days was taken out of our vacation because our flit was cancelled. We understand mechanical problems and of course don’t want to be on a plane that has mechanical problems.Wish there had been another solution.
I behave had better flights this one was old and poor
Short trip from Honolulu to Kauai. Not a major issue. Only concern was the drop off of the luggage for departure. Only one person handling all of the passengers. She was busting her butt.
Tickets we booked together in January became two different connecting flights. VERY PISSED a about this and a terrible start to our bucket list vacation
Flight was delayed which led to missed connection, but rebooked on a more direct flight at the last minute and arrived in Juneau on time with all our luggage. Little stressful and our family seating got split, but it all worked out in the end.
they didn't fix a plane and we were delayed travelling an extra 12 hours.
Self check in is not indicated well if you approach Terminal 1 from Terminal 2 Parking
While the flight itself was pleasant, the process of checking in was difficult. The line was long and our connection time was but two hours. When we finally got to the Hawaiian agent and told him that we were traveling on Alaskan Airlines, he told us we would need to go to a different terminal. I told him that another Hawaiian Airlines agent had directed us to him. I’m looking at our tickets, he noticed that the Alaskan Airlines flight was to be managed by a second party. He ended admonish us for not telling us so Rather than considering that we might’ve been right in the first place.
Plane left an hour late due to flight staffing problems. Only a 45 min flight, but it took 3 hours as a result, which left a lot of people disgruntled. No excuses. No recompense.
Omg the disaster at the security was on another level! “Go to this end, sorry closed now, go to that end”. Ridiculous! This took over an hour! As far as the airline was concerned although I booked nearly a year ago I couldn’t get my bag tag - stand in another 15 minute line or my seat on Hawaiian Airlines- 5 more minutes! Then my TSA status was denied. Like what the heck! Makes a person not want to travel with this amount of incompetence
Bar code for checking luggage and boarding pass didn't work. Had to stand in long customer service line. Passengers at Oahu should be aware the Terminal for Hawaiian Air requires travel by shuttle. Budget an extra 20-30 minutes to get from the main terminal to the remote terminal.
There was mention of a complimentary magazine but none were in the seat pockets. The flight is short so understandable not having food or a snack.
This is my first time flying Hawaiian. It was so disorganized and poorly coordinated, resulting in the most unacceptable delay
Boarding was a nightmare. Almost everyone was on group 4 and there was no line people crowded the check in and made things more chaotic than they needed to be.
Nice people, easy boarding, comfortable seats. But didn’t like being stuck in a seat that I paid for only to hear an ad read by flight attendant for the Hawaiian Airlines credit card. TWO different times. No desire to hear all that. Wish there had been a mute button. And flight attendant handing out applications at the exit was way too much, Otherwise all good!!!
Great flight experience going from Honolulu to Kauai. Nice short flight, so some things don't really qualify for an excellent rating, food & entertainment, since there wasn't any. Check in was nice and easy, crew was great, I'm 6'7" so the seats could have had a bit more room for my knees. But I survived.
I appreciated the clean new plane with a charging port for every seat and a device support at eye level. It was nice to be offered a free cocktail with the tasty sandwich for a meal. I would like to note that the seating was very tight, though. There seemed to also be less room than usual under the seat in front of me to stow my personal item.
Very friendly crew. Surprisingly good leg room in the larger plane. Excellent experience!! I would highly recommend the airline.
On line ticket purchase really poor. Website not user friendly. Customer Service people require better training regarding fees / fares application. When airline cancels issued boarding pass should call customer and notify. Will not fly this airline ever again
