The flight crew began to apologize for how 'how it was' and during the apology turned it back around on them and began to say 'we've been on this flight since 7 a.m.' (basically indicating that we should feel worse for them than ourselves). This airline has a complete disregard for customer service and I WILL NOT ever fly American again--this was the last straw."

If you find a reasonably priced flight you don't have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."

A lot of other airlines offer some sort of complimentary in flight entertainment. Also the luggage didn't start coming out for at least 30 mins of waiting at baggage claim. Not the worst experience I've had flying but far from being a good experience. It probably isn't worth flying united unless it's 1st class. But even they had to wait 30+mins for luggage!"

But they wanted us to reschedule our tickets instead of putting our check in baggage for next flight ...by the time we decided to take our bag in security and pay extra at door security it was 5:20 , they took our stuff out from the bag that was supposed to get checked in. We were thinking thank god we are good we got our bag , but it wasn’t over after so much pain we reached the door it was 5:25 pm they said they already closed the door. We couldn’t go. spirit airlines is worst airlines i have ever been to. Please share if you had similar experiences."

Cons: "Seats were a little close, so if you have long legs get the big front seat. Carry on is limited to ONE bag with non-standard sizing of 16x14x12, (changing 4/17 to 18x14x8). For girls this includes purses. Don't forget to bring your food or snacks with you. If not you can buy it onboard. No cash, just cards."

You are literally charged for EVERYTHING. Which is mostly stated on their website with the exception of the checked bag and carry on fees of $50 and $55, respectively. Those fees can vary depending on who you ask....And even though they say you can save by using the kiosk ($20 to go to the counter), we ended up going to the counter anyway because the kiosk could not complete our transaction!!! On our return, we had to go through customs which requires you to get your checked bag (decided to save the $5 and check it on the way home), go through customs and then drop off your checked bag to continue your flight. Well, the Spirit representative decided it would be a great time to take a break and be completely MIA from their post. We had to go completely out of the terminal and back to a counter to recheck our bag. Resulting in a very close call on not making our connecting flight. The long and short of it all: We "Saved" $100.00 total on the initial ticket purchase. We paid over $220.00 ADDITIONAL to have our one carry on and sit next to each other ($20.00 each seat, each leg of trip). Never flying Spirit again and have been telling everyone not to. Bad Spirit!"

Then they announced it was "cancelled," whatever that means. They gave us no information as to why, and sent us to the ticketing counter where I waited for an hour in line, only to find out that Spirit Airlines would only refund my ticket cost or I could wait a full 24 hours til their next flight departed. I got stuck overnight in Houston airport, which felt unsafe and miserable. I slept for maybe an hour all night. I had to pay $330 and book a flight on a different airline. Spirit Airlines is the worst, and I'll never use them again."
