Cons: "The departure gate was changed four or five times, including after we had traipsed from one end of the concourse to the other, only to have the gate changed BACK to the one from which we came. This was at supper time; we wanted to eat in the terminal but were rousted from two different lines to change gates. We couldn't stop running back and forth long enough to eat! I got updated info more quickly from Kayak than from United, despite having signed up for email and text notifications and having the United app. Come on!! Eventually we were marched down to a narrow hallway, crowded with passengers from two other departing flights, held in formation by obviously harried gate agents and finally led outside to the ramp to board the plane. The worst boarding experience. Ever. Give me Southwest anytime."
Pros: "I’m handicapped and requested wheelchair assistance when I booked flight. Not once was it ready I had to ask for it at every leg of trip, going and returning. Took morning flight home to connection and when landed was told that flight was cancelled and rebooked my on another flight which was fine but didn’t have the seat available that was originally designated and the woman at customer service didn’t care. New flight delayed 3 times and I ended up being in Newark for 9 hours and got a total of $30 in vouchers, had anyone that gives these vouchers out bought anything in an airport before? And the $30 I did get I had to beg for as well. No more united for me thanks."

Pros: "I had no problems the gate agent was very nice and I did get the basic economy which that only did I have to pay for my bags but I also got the last seat in the back in the corner which is OK I guess I’ll pay more attention to the fair I still probably saved a little money but I don’t know that I save that much I think that sometimes the boarding agent needs to pay attention to the carry-on luggage for sure bring a lot carry-on luggage which doesn’t allow for others to have carry-on luggage who were in the later groups and then they get penalized with their bags being checked as there’s no more room and they’re not basic economy but other than that I like taking United they have nonstop service between Orlando in Houston and it’s been a wonderful experience most of the time and I think the airlines do a pretty good job considering the traveling public themselves to be very challenging at times professionalism and courtesy works both ways and unfortunately people buy tickets and think that it’s a one-way street. they then run to the media who loves to make it about the big guy versus the little guy anyway good job united and I will continue to fly you when you’re the most appropriate carrier to get me to where I want to be."

One of the agents at Bradley International Airport Sammy put her hands on my friend and screamed in her face USING FOUL LANGUAGE with a line full of people and their children waiting to check in. It was unprofessional and uncalled for. We did get police and management involved. The overall experience was terrible."

If you find a reasonably priced flight you don't have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."

Also I asked for a seat that would recline and they gave me the only seats that do not because the emergency exit was behind!! The had no sandwiches or salads, they only had chips, crackers, etc"

Cons: "When returning from Houston to LA...i appreciated that the wheelchair service was ready when they arrived....what i didn't like was that as we entered the elevator one of the workers made a comment to his partner that there was to much weight cause the elevator made a certain noise...but not as if he was concerned more jokingly...my mother is heavy set ...she and our party thought that was rude and unnecessary...they both looked at her...i was going to bring it to there attention, but what good would of it done...so please address it....there were 2 gentlemen...one pushing my father which was a Hispanic male and the other was a black male pushing mother...the one who made the comment was the Hispanic male....and another problem was the airplane was very warm..."
Cons: "Because the flight to Houston sat on the tarmac for so long, no one was able to get food in the airport before boarding this flight. I was at the back of the plane and there was NO fresh food available once the flight attendants reached the last 6-10 rows. Unacceptable that there is not enough food options for all passengers. By the time I landed in Panama, I had not eaten for 13 hours."
Pros: "The associate at the desk confused my flight for the next flight. I was given the wrong information and I watched my plane depart from the gate. Upon realizing that employees of that gate had left, and we're not coming back, I had to ask passing personnel about my flight to find that it left already and that I had already been rebooked without being notified. I now had to fly from Houston to Chicago to Nashville. The new flight boarded almost 2 hours later than expected, and upon landing in Chicago, I had already missed my connecting flight to Nashville by 35 minutes apparently. Unacceptable."

Cons: "I came down in a wheel chair and noticed my ticket had me in an exit row. When I asked to be moved, the women behind the counter had an attitude. Many of the customer waiting to board noticed. Next she started boarding the plain and I had 3 people ask if I needed to be pushed down and they would help. She barked at us that someone was coming. Once inside I asked for help getting my plug into the outlet because I wasn't able to make it fit. The crew member told me to keep trying. Because I never could get it in, my computer and phone wouldn't work. So I figured I would purchase one of the entertaining units but none was offered. It made for a very long flight. When leaving the plane, the other crew members were very helpful and even the wheel chair attending me was a delight. I was on flight 1977 from Houston to Seattle on November 7th. I usually fly twice a month for business. After my ordeal, I will use other airlines."

I think that's WHY HE PUT US IN THE VERY BACK BEING HATEFUL BECAUSE I WAS NOT HAPPY THAT UNITED DECIDED TO SEPARATE US FROM ROW I TO 30.. Also I am paying to bring my children to Mexico and I can't get points for it. Just sayin..."

This was my first time in Houston and the gates were a bit confusing. I was in B area of airport for my tiny plane. I was told where to go with the wave of her hand and she did not want to be bothered more...got to the gated area and the agents there were way too busy chatting to be bothered. On my return trip home was better because i now knew the layout. I am sure my next trip will be improved."

I feel like it was the worst customer service and while I realize the lady I spoke to was probably not the one responsible for the captain being Mia she could have been more kind and more helpful by 100%"

Attendant even went as far as saying "This is why I prefer working with first class" to his co worker, making reference about a passenger. And even went as far as saying "I really need a drink after this one" when the passenger overhead his first comment and asked him why he's being so rude to her family and no one else. Also didn't bring us or the passenger behind us any water when we asked, and when asked again, he rudely said "You will have to wait, can't you see I only have two hands. I haven't gotten to your row yet" which he had, and passed, which is why the man behind us mumbled to us, and we made a request too."

Pros: "We were heading to Maimi today by 5:38 fligh, got caught in bad traffic. Reached airport by 4:55 Pm with great difficulty. They didn’t check in our baggage . they asked us to throw away our check in bag. We asked them get our bag in next flight we were ready to pay for it. But they wanted us to reschedule our tickets instead of putting our check in baggage for next flight ...by the time we decided to take our bag in security and pay extra at door security it was 5:20 , they took our stuff out from the bag that was supposed to get checked in. We were thinking thank god we are good we got our bag , but it wasn’t over after so much pain we reached the door it was 5:25 pm they said they already closed the door. We couldn’t go. spirit airlines is worst airlines i have ever been to. Please share if you had similar experiences."

With that being said the crew was amazing even after coming off an international flight and getting stuck in customs."

For girls this includes purses. Don't forget to bring your food or snacks with you. If not you can buy it onboard. No cash, just cards."

Cons: "Where to start... I understand the concept of a base fee and you pay a la carte for everything else but this only really works for a single person traveling with a small personal item ONLY. You are literally charged for EVERYTHING. Which is mostly stated on their website with the exception of the checked bag and carry on fees of $50 and $55, respectively. Those fees can vary depending on who you ask....And even though they say you can save by using the kiosk ($20 to go to the counter), we ended up going to the counter anyway because the kiosk could not complete our transaction!!! On our return, we had to go through customs which requires you to get your checked bag (decided to save the $5 and check it on the way home), go through customs and then drop off your checked bag to continue your flight. Well, the Spirit representative decided it would be a great time to take a break and be completely MIA from their post. We had to go completely out of the terminal and back to a counter to recheck our bag. Resulting in a very close call on not making our connecting flight. The long and short of it all: We "Saved" $100.00 total on the initial ticket purchase. We paid over $220.00 ADDITIONAL to have our one carry on and sit next to each other ($20.00 each seat, each leg of trip). Never flying Spirit again and have been telling everyone not to. Bad Spirit!"

Cons: "My flight on Spirit Airlines from Houston to New Orleans was first delayed for an hour and a half, then they boarded everyone on the plane, where we waited for a while. Then they announced it was "cancelled," whatever that means. They gave us no information as to why, and sent us to the ticketing counter where I waited for an hour in line, only to find out that Spirit Airlines would only refund my ticket cost or I could wait a full 24 hours til their next flight departed. I got stuck overnight in Houston airport, which felt unsafe and miserable. I slept for maybe an hour all night. I had to pay $330 and book a flight on a different airline. Spirit Airlines is the worst, and I'll never use them again."

Everyone was screaming mad. Cost me hundreds of dollars and missed the festival I flew 3000 miles to attend"

The website is horrible to navigate, and there's no way to get a refund online, so was on the phone for over an hour. Refused a credit voucher - they probably won't be in business long enough to risk using it!"
