This caused me to miss my connecting flight, which stranded me at JFK because they only had one flight per day to my destination. JetBlue's customer service told me I could not reach my destination until the next day, which was unacceptable (I had a morning interview). In fact, the only thing they said they could do was *PARTIALLY* refund my ticket, even though they stranded me in a completely different city. They also said I would "be able to" book a new flight with a different carrier, which cost roughly $400, using my own money. In the end, I spent about an hour talking with customer service until they were "nice enough" to do a partial refund with an additional credit equaling the remainder of my $400 ticket to fly with them in the future. It was still a very poor interaction with customer service."

The pilot told us there was equipment trouble that had been fixed, but there was paperwork to fill out and it would only be a few minutes...and then radio silence for 30 minutes before pulling back. The flight attendants rushed through the pre-flight announcents and I could only understand about 60% of it due to speed, volume and accent. Despite asking me for my drink order, it never came...and I only heard a few soda cans pop open at all. Did they just decide not to serve us? She even gave me a napkin for it. Luckily when they put the snack basket in front of me, there was a tiny bottle of water, which I grabbed...little did I know, that was all I would get. The flight attendants were just tapping in the back of the plane the rest of the flight. They didn’t even bother collecting garbage until we were on final approach. They also never did the normal checks before landing."

Whenever they can steal from luggage, they always try to steal from passengers, particularly American. I have had multiple experiences with theft from Chinese airports. I have been to China and back to the USA five times. Many times, items have disappeared from my suitcases in Chinese airports. That is why I decided not to move to China to live but instead move to Indonesia. However, if I fly any plane that transfers my luggage in China, I can usually expect to have my luggage robbed. Although this time, nothing was missing from my luggage, that fact that your people had to wrap my suitcase in plastic (because they did not know the secret for relatching it) and resend it a day later, that is proof that one of your airport personnel opened it to see what he could steal and then got caught because he could not close it again. I am really really really tired of you Chinese thieves. I blame all of you because you are all a product of Mao Tse Tung’s godless atheistic evil society. The Chinese have proven to me again and again that they cannot be trusted. A Kong Chinese official even stole my Ohio driver’s license when I transferred through that airport on a previous trip to Jakarta. I understand your problem. If you fire all dishonest luggage department workers, you will not have any workers remaining. Cons: "The crew on the flight was extremely unprofessional, suggesting that we don't "hurt one another" when we are free to take other open seats. Also, the seriousness of the crew and the responsible feeling that I normally get from a flight crew was not there. The pilot was good. But the attendants were telling " jokes". An airplane is not a comedy club. I like to feel safe, and that the staff is capable in the event of an emergency. Also, the plane seemed dirty with advertisements inside the cabin for a specific hotel in Vegas. This gave the plane a very ghetto feeling."

Cons: "Delayed flight in hour-long intervals over four hours, only to finally cancel at 1 am with no explanation. Weather was fine, no mechanical complications. We were left stranded at O'Hare at 2 am...next flight wasn't until 9 pm the NEXT night. Terribly rude attendants. Awful, pitiful excuse for an airline. This happened once before (only other time we tried to fly with Spirit, except the next flight was ONE WEEK later). Just awful. No other words for this terrible airline and laughable service."

Cons: "I found out my flight was delayed two hours but decided to go to the airport at the appropriate time anyway. It was just a girls weekend so I wasn't in any major rush to get there. As my shuttle is taking me to the airport, I look again to find that my flight has officially went from taking off at 9:14pm to taking off at 12:12pm. When I got to the airport, it was 7pm so I would have to wait for 5 hours. I went to the Spirit counter and asked what time my flight was leaving. The man at the counter says "9:15" so I responded with "okay great so there's no delay then??" He said "yeah there's just a short delay you won't even know" I showed him my phone and asked is 12:12am the time were supposed to leave? And he said "yes". Well, then I was fuming because this customer "support" person completely lied to me. Another quite rude lady said there was absolutely nothing they could do for me and shooed me away. I was also told it was because their technology wasn't reaching flight control. I went to my gate anyway and noticed that the spirit section was completely packed-I'm assuming this issue backed up many flights. After an hour of waiting, they announced that the delay may be even longer. I immediately left because at that point I wouldn't get into my destination until 4am which wasn't worth my short visit to where I was going. Later on in the night, I looked at my phone to see what happened-it ended up being cancelled!!!! What a joke! Bad customer service, bad fees, bad way of handling their flight situations!!! Never again."

Cons: "This may not be a totally accurate review for this specific flight, since it never happened because it was CANCELLED. Spirit Airlines in general is a horrible airline company to deal with. Constant delays, TERRIBLE customer service, absolutely NO refund policy, and ridiculous rebooking times. My flight was cancelled due to a huge winter storm, and Spirit said they couldn't book me til FOUR days after my original fly-out date. I have never had a good experience with Spirit - cramped seating and never have been on a Spirit flight that left on time. I will never be flying with this company again."

Pros: "-In general with Spirit you know what you're getting. A cheap flight with only the bare bone necessities to get you where you're going. Generally I'm okay with this approach to save a buck or two but this experience tipped me over the edge of never flying Spirit again."
Cons: "To paint a picture before I get into details, public transit broke down so there was a huge rush of passengers for this flight and others, all leaving around the same time of night as the last round of flights from the airport. -The man at the counter said he could not print our boarding passes because the flight was already boarding as it was 30 minutes before doors closed. -We used the terminal and got an error message saying to see someone at the counter, so we went back and talked to another lady at the Spirit counter. She printed our tickets and was even able to check in my last minute checked bag. -No one at Spirit would walk us through security, which I guess is understandable (though a common courtesy on other airlines) when the security line was so long. -By this time the security line was so long after we had fumbled around for 10 extra minutes with the first man at the Spirit counter that we decided to give up. We later found out that they held the doors for 15 minutes because of the long lines at security, information which no one at Spirit ever volunteered for us, which would've allowed us to get on the plane. -There were 3 or 4 other passengers very upset at the counter employees not willing to print their boarding passes for them who could have also made the plane. -We had to get a flight out the next morning to make our international flight from BWI, so we wanted to go get the checked bag back from Spirit. This was by far the best part of the trip, as the woman at baggage was able to confirm my bag had made it on the flight and would be landing in Philadelphia. -To confirm the bag landed and we would be able to pick it up at 9am when our flight landed the next morning, we called the Spirit office at the Philly airport. The woman said to call back at 12:30-12:45 and she would let us know if she had the bag. This was important for us, because if my bag wasn't there I could just pack another for our international trip and deal with finding the lost bag at a later time. -We called 8 times between 12:30 and 1:30 with no response. We also left several voicemails. -At 5am on our way back to O'Hare we were again unable to get ahold of anyone at Spirit in Philadelphia. While boarding our flight to Philly we finally got a hold of someone who said they would go check the office and let us know within 10 minutes. Obviously too late for me to pack another bag, but at least we could plan over the next several hours. Never got a call back, and only received voice mail after attempting contact again several times as our plane prepared for takeoff. -Landed in Philly and what do you know, the Spirit office is closed for most hours of the day, only operating around their scheduled flights. The info. employee at the airport wished us good luck in a hopeless tone. After 45 minutes of panic calling every Spirit phone number we could find, we finally got someone on the phone to come get my bag out of the locked office."

When I tried to go online, it said I wasn't a member on the flight that my confirmation code was tied to. I finally waited on the phone, just to cancel my flight. Seems like they only fly a certain percentage of their flights in order to try and scam the rest of the customers into losing their money in cancelled flights..."
Cons: "E ticket didn't work after standing for 1 hour in security. This caused us to have to run around airport to our flight which was delayed 15 min after it was supposed to board. The plane was filthy. When I opened the tray table crushed chips that were in there spilled all over me. Regardless of the price I will never fly spirit airlines."

Why did the supervisor push me aside and take care of the man even though he came after me? Why did she let him pass even though his behavior was abusive and his bag was 1” taller than the measurement box and didn’t fit underneath the seat? Is it because I am a petite, Asian woman that the supervisor thinks that I am an easier target to mistreat?"
