I was able to board and travel but I had to sneak out of the actual line and show my visa appointment receipt to a latam staff person. It was very hard to talk to the staff most of them were just screaming "go to the line" and were not really keen to listening to what passengers had to say. I found a latam person that wasn't really dealing with this situation and managed to get him to talk to other latam staff about my visa appointment. It was pretty stressful for me to have to deal with the possibility of missing such an important event without a good reason."

Pros: "Despite having a high "Sapphire" status with this One World Partner and being promised "preferente" seats by the airline when I reserved seats months ago, I was unable to view the seats or check in online. Both their App and their online system were down and unavailable. We were never able to view our actual seats online. The "preferred seats" my group on 5 could not have been worse!! We were seated consistently in row 11 or the very last row of the aircraft immediately in front of the lavatory, where the seats do not recline at all and where you hear and smell the bathroom for the entire flight.. There was NO space to breathe in our seats. I have traveled on dozens of airlines and this experience and these seats were the WORST! After this happened once, I specifically asked to insure that it would not happen again and was told that seats on my next flights were good but they were the same horrible seats. Part of our itinerary was on LAN and part was on TAM, who have now combined into 1 airline, but still operate on separate systems. So LAN customer service could not see the seats for TAM flights and vice versa. Their online system reflected a changed time for our return flight from 145pm to 250pm from Rio. We verified it 3 times (even though we could not check in or view our seats because of "technical difficulties" we could see the new departure tie, and the change was confirmed by our Sheraton concierge, but when we arrived to the airport they informed us that we had arrived to late for our 145pm flight! We showed them the app that showed our flight was changed to 250pm and they could not explain the problem. We were delayed 4 hours and arrived too late for dinner in Santiago. The final 4 hour flight at 4am flight from Santiago to Lima was torture. The seat in front was literally 6 inches in front of my face when they reclined and I could not recline. It was absolute TORTURE! Avoid this airline! To add the agony, they have lost my bag and do not know where it is!"

Therefore, I had to spend the entirety of my redeye flights crammed next to someone while I was looking at an almost empty economy plus section. Also, we boarded earlier than expected but we spend an extra hour on the flight waiting to take off. I would not have minded boarding early if we had taken off early, but we took off an hour later."

After spending a fair amount of time on the phone with customer service I was able to get me on a Flight to Minneapolis that did not arrive till 1:30am then had to take a rental car to drive 3.5 hours to make it to my destination. I was not compensated for any of this. My return flight from Fargo to St. Louis was also Delayed. Both from Fargo and from Chicago. I have never experienced such poor scheduling from an airline or as many delays or cancelled flights in just a few day period."

Cons: "On 6/30/17, Spirit Air cancelled my flight without so much as a phone call, text, or email until I arrived at the airport. Upon my arrival, I was told that the earliest that I could get to Florida was before Midnight on the next day. Seeing that I was in a wedding, that wasn't an option for me. At which point, I requested that the 2nd leg of the trip be cancelled and that I be refunded for the ticket that I purchased. As Spirit's unreliability left me no alternative. It's been 8 days since my initial request for a refund without so much as a confirmation or refund. I have waited the quoted "24-48 hours" (4) times and am no closer to a resolution than I was upon inception of this debacle. Rep #45858, and #42452 were wildly dismissive and seemed to do everything in their power to not resolve my issue. I will NEVER fly Spirit again...ever."

Cons: "I was thrown out of a vacant emergency exit seat (they are slightly bigger) and asked to return to my original seat. I believe this had to do with the fact that Spirit charges more money for those seats (because of the additional leg room). If nobody was in the seat, I do not see what difference it makes."

Cons: "This was a connecting flight that was projected to be 2+ hrs late. Five hours later they canceled the flight and made the entire passenger body stand another 2 hrs in line to be told they couldn't do anything until the next day. Gave out hotel vouchers eventually but lied about customers being able to check out late because they sent people out with the wrong or insufficient vouchers."

Pros: "The crew was the only saving grace on this flight. Flight attendants and Pilots were all very appologetic and kind. Excellent at getting everyone seated and situatiated asap so we didn't waste any time once we were finally able to board. If it weren't for their kindness I would have had some very choice words for the first Spirit Rep I could find."

Constant departure time changes, going from the original time of 6pm to 9pm, then back to 6pm.. very confusing and impossible to plan arriavl to the airport. No phone numbers to confirm departure times with an actual Spirit Rep. Extremely frustrating."

Cons: "A woman who needed assistance boarding was in the aisle seat halfway back on the plane in my row, so it was hard for me to get passed her to my seat and then to get off the plane later. From my understanding all food and drinks had to be paid for. No free soda/water like most airlines to keep costs low."

Pros: "Fast boarding process. I believe we Actually arrived a little early which is always a plus. Crew was very polite and helpful. The flight stewarts/stweartesses are some of the most polished and professional I have met."
Cons: "VERY cramped airplane seating. Food prices are a bit high. The surprise fee of 10 extra dollars to print at the airport. Prior to buying spirit on a third patrty (kayak/priceline) , it should be better advertised that the fare did not include checked luggage or carry-on."
