Pros: "Amazing crew and Ground staff. Check in and bag check in was really smooth and fast."
Cons: "Maybe some more options of snacks. In flight entertainment was not working so can’t say much about it."
Pros: "I like that the pilot to managed to take off in the snowy conditions and arrived our destination LA our time. The crew was amicable. That was it really."
Cons: "I felt the plane was not very comfortable for a 5 1/2hr flight. I will not fly this plane never on transatlantic it just not cozy like big airbus or b777. Air Canada should invest in big planes if it want to cash out on the passengers connecting their pacific flights."
Cons: "Toilets were dirty and not enough toilet papers"
Pros: "I was just a little bit shocked because there were nothing to eat included.. I didn’t know that that kind of flight didn’t include anything.. But despite of that it was ok.."
Cons: "Air Canada needs to step up their game and get better in seat technology."
Pros: "Smooth as you like"
Pros: "Flight was late leaving and I had a connection flight - they changed my seat so I could be at the front and get my bag easily and run to get my connecting flight. Everyone was very helpful."
Cons: "The aircraft was so small there was not enough room for even most standard size carry-ons. The crew were not patient and gave passengers attitude for trying to bring their carry-ons onboard. On the way back from Toronto, we were sitting on the runway for more than one hour waiting for "de-icing". If this is a recurring thing, why not time the arrivals and departures better to avoid making people sit there, disconnected from everything and waiting? Also the screen on my "entertainment center" was broken but thankfully I had my own book to read. Air Canada has not had the most welcoming crew or most up to date fleet in my experience; I fly with them mostly because of their cheap fares. I guess "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch"."
Cons: "Ended up missing this connecting flight to Calgary . Our plane left 45 minutes late from Phoenix because of a gas spill so when we got to Vancouver from Phoenix, we had to go through customs which took extra time. When we first landed in Vancouver and before we even got off the plane, we had 5 minutes to board onto our next flight which obviously was not going to happen. We rushed through customs and still might have been able to board our flight at the last possible minute except the staff at the airport led us to somehow get out of the secure area and have to go through security again before going to our gate. That took so much extra time. This never should have happened. When you get off the plane and have a connecting flight, there is always a way to get to the gate to board without having to go through security again. When we finally made it to our gate for our connecting flight, our plane had left and we were told to go to the air canada service desk. There was about 10 to 15 of us that had missed our connecting flight because of this so the 2 staff at the desk were trying to help us all but had to wait for their manager to come and confirm they could give us another flight which took quite a bit longer than I thought. We ended up getting booked on standby on a flight straight from Vancouver to Saskatoon in 2 hours which was our final destination, but never was told that because of all this headache, we should have grabbed our luggage. We thought our luggage was going to go on without us on the flight we missed but apparently if you do not get on your flight they don’t send your bags which makes sense. We also had thought for a second that maybe our luggage didn’t go on the flight from Vancouver to Calgary but if it didn’t then someone would most likely put it on the flight to Saskatoon. We should have asked about it but they should also have mentioned it when we were in a panic. And I understand you can’t put extra people on a flight that is booked, but what if the plane we were on standby for was full and we had to wait even longer .. could have taken us a day to get home when this wasn’t our fault we missed our flight, but was air Canada’s."
Cons: "No one smiles"
Pros: "on time"
Cons: "Too long to board and a little disorganized at boarding"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Broken headphone for TV screen"
Cons: "30 min for baggage claim"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours due to mechanical issues. Missed our connection to LAX in Toronto due to the delay. Poor communication from on the ground staff regarding the rebooking. When we actually got our rebooked flight, it was for two days later. Took multiple calls to booking line to get a more reasonable flight out the following day. The hotel they put us up in was over 40 minutes away too. To add insult to injury, when we finally got to LAX, our luggage didn't make it and didn't get delivered until two days later. Overall very poor experience."
Pros: "plenty of room, media player, wifi, nice selection of snacks and meals."
Pros: "The flight was quick. Great crew."
Cons: "My flight out of CLT was delayed but I was still able to catch my connection in Toronto so it all worked out."
Pros: "Are they ever friendly? Concerned about their customers? It's unreal how indifferent they are to your time and comfort!"
Pros: "A wider seat due to equipment change."
Cons: "No blankets offered on a red eye flight."
Cons: "My Original flight was cancelled 3 hours prior to departure. Had to wait long lines at Air Canada customer service. Due to slowness of process, was not able to take other departing flights to other close airports. Had to stay the night at hotel."
Pros: "So glad we had Your Name as a movie selection and Eagle Huntress and all those weird short films that kept me going for a long time. I also appreciated the sake."
Cons: "Mainly that we took an extra hour by going around a volcano but I don't see how that could have been avoided."
Pros: "Flight was smooth and pilot was knowledgeable"
Cons: "My tv screen didn't have sound !"
Pros: "Very friendly assistants on the flight."
Cons: "Seats were not huge but on the cheapest flights it was sort of expected."
Pros: "Nothing. This was the least pleasant flying experience I've ever had."
Cons: "1. They scheduled me for an overnight layover FOR NO REASON when there were multiple flights leaving earlier to my ultimate destination. 2. The airplane food gave me food poisoning and I had to spend the night in the ER. 3. My flight the next morning was delayed by 3hrs. Meanwhile, other flights to the same destination were taking off with no problem."
Pros: "I like the options for entertainment and the seats were comfortable"
Cons: "The food options were terrible"
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The plane was old and looked like it was going to fall apart. My seat was torn and the back of the seat in front of me was broken. Not my favorite airline by far."
Cons: "Confort de merde"
Pros: "Very pleasant flight; excellent entertainment options to while away the time. Excellent crew: food and comfort as good as it gets these days in Economy."
Cons: "Boarding was confusing. Announcements were difficult to hear in the terminal; there was a step requiring all passengers to queue up as if boarding but instead it was a passport/boarding pass check. The two queues were not labeled, there was much line-switching, and the passport-check lines blocked the terminal for travelers for other flights... The incoming plane was late; we wondered why this passport check could not have proceeded while we waited instead of delaying our boarding once our plane arrived."
Cons: "Flight was delayed forced us to stay in Ottawa an extra night. Only compensation we received was a $10 meal voucher!!"
Pros: "Everything was great I had a Blast"
Pros: "Legroom and entertainment were both good. Food can be improve."
Cons: "Boarding was bad in Zurich, unorganized. Need improvement"
Cons: "For the price, the length and the fact that it was an international flight. I would have expected not to be required to paid for luggage and to have some food been provided to us. In particular, after the return flight was delayed considerably due to airplane issues."
Cons: "The airport in Montreal was confusing for continuing flights - lines not labeled well and too long"
Pros: "They surprisingly didn't lose our bags...on this flight."
Cons: "Where to start?! Air Canada is by far the worst airline I have ever flown on. initially there was no information on what gate we were supposed to go to. The timeline of when the gate was going to be told ended up being 45 minutes later than initially projected which turned out to be an hour before the flight was supposed to take off, which didn't leave much time to make it through passport control and to the correct gate. The flight was then delayed over an hour before we were able to board. Once we boarded the flight, we were delayed again an additional hour. We finally took off and landed in Toronto to be delayed yet again before we could go to our gate. Once we go to our gate (close to 30 minutes after landing) the gate would not work and we were stuck on the plan an additional 30 minutes. What was supposed to be about a 9 hour flight turned into almost 12 hours of misery. I will never fly air canada again. The best part about air canada is how every canadian I talked to say "oh yeah, they are such a "terrible" or "shitty" airline."
Cons: "We lost our connection by 20min because of waiting at customs were placed on the next available flight, bourded and them waited for over an hour inside the plane for a couple of customers that where stuck at customs."
Cons: "My tv didn't work"
Cons: "DELAYED"
Cons: "Flight was delayed four hours. After landing, sat on the runway for one hour waiting for a gate. horrible."
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "Nothing, everything was bad. Flight were late and service was really bad. I will never fly Air Canada again!"
Pros: "A wonderful agent named Danyelle Mariner in Raleigh did an excellent job finding us an alternative flight when she saw that we would not make our connecting flight in Toronto. Thanks"
Cons: "There seems to be a problem with the Toronto flights in the afternoon. If they are all being rescheduled change the plan."
Cons: "At the rome airport, Air Canada closed their bag drops area 1 hour and 20 mins before the flight. We missed our flight because of this. No one in that airport works for Air Canada, I had to call customer service in the US and wait 35 mins before somebody pick up the phone. Air canada hire a local italian company at the airport to do the check in, but they do not care and close the counter way earlier. We were 7 people in the same situation."
Pros: "The entertainment options were decent. Food wasn't bad. The crew courteous and helpful."
Cons: "The booking and ticketing department for Air Canada messed up quite a bit with our trip overall. It wasn't just one narrow event: even after the delayed flight, and 6 hour phone call to get rebooked, we had to use international roaming charges at the Shanghai airport to call and get them to correct an error they made with our flight out of Shanghai. The flights themselves were alright, but I want to use every opportunity I have to complain about the booking and customer service process."
Cons: "Food was very poor compared to other international flights I've been on. The staff was not very friendly I'm sorry to say!"
Cons: "It was very cold!"
Pros: "Very satisfied with the flight."
Pros: "Worst service I've ever had"
Cons: "The flight for Montreal was half empty and than there was a flight to Toronto Hallf empty as well, and the flight Toronto to Montreal was half empty...by coincidence our flight Halifax-Montreal on Sunday at 19:15 was cancelled due to technical issues. However it was obvious that AirCanada didn't care about the passenger time or valued it...instead of flying 3 empty flights they cancelled our flight and maximize capacity on the other planes...not happy we didn't get any voucher and we wasted 4 hours of our time and didn't have dinner until 1 am"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Poor food choice and quality , comfort of seats"
Cons: "Very long line to get to security"
Pros: "I was landing in Montreal around 2am and my next flight wasn't until 18 hours later. I talked to the crew about suggestions for finding food, a good place to wait, and suggestions for seeing the city. They were fantastic. Suggested the 747 bus so I could see Montreal and helped point me in the right direction for where to be comfortable as I waited for the city to wake up. Thank you all so much!!"
