Unfortunately, the ICE video center was broken on the way to Dubai also. In addition, the flight crew lets people stand around in front of you which reduces the extra leg room you pay a hefty price for. What’s the point of charging over $700 for this added “luxury” on each of your flights from JFK to Male, Maldives when you can’t use it. Emirates is nice, but didn’t reach the expectations they set."

I could not check my luggage when I arrived at the airport. I had to sit with my luggage for 3 hours just waiting to check it. So I could not enjoy the 7 hours I had before my flight - to walk around the city, or even shop in the airport. I could not select a seat when I checked in on line - even though it was 20 hours before my flight. Even though I was traveling alone I could only get a middle seat. There were no non-meat food choices for the meal. We could not hear the announcements at boarding - no one knew what was being said."

Checked our carry on luggage for being "too heavy" in spite of the fact that it was the exact same luggage we carried on for the flight out which meets all necessary size restrictions. Boarding was very disorganized, no announcements were being made, flight attendants were simply holding up signs at chest level which were completely blocked by the crowd."

In each direction for some reason, I was unable to check in online for the second flight, which didn't make sense (so Emirates there and Jet Blue back). On top of that, neither could give me boarding passes that would work for the other. The customer service kiosk took about 15 minutes to get this done for Jet Blue in JFK."

As soon as we got off our first plane we were directed to American Airline security where they questioned me about my trip and what I did in Spain. Then I was directed to TSA where it took a long time to get through the lines. I got to my gate an hour before take off and they were already boarding. I didn't have a moment to take a bathroom break or grab a drink/snack. But again, this experience was not all that bad because all the positive notes listed above."

And then tight seats on the plane, with no individual screens (the movie played on a tiny screen 2 rows up in the aisle.)"

Cons: "The organization with American Airlines at Charles de Gaulle was absolutely pathetic. I understand it's a busy airport, but NONE of the other airlines had lines like American did. Then by the time you get up to an American airline employee, incompetence was written all over their faces. The straw that broke the camel's back was that they insisted on separating my partner and me while doing security questions, meanwhile other parties who were together were not separated (LGBT discrimination). This pushed us back 10 minutes--we were separated and he was having to wait for me after the questioning to get my bag checked, too. I'll add that we arrived to the airport with over 2 hours to spare before our flight which should have been more than enough time. We probably would have missed the flight if not for a few decent Charles de Gaulle employees who bumped us though lines at customs when they realized the time crunch, no thanks to anyone with American Airlines. I heard so many saying they will not use American Airlines again, and how saving a few dollars was not worth the headache. Flying is already stressful enough, don't make it that much worse."
Cons: "I paid hard-earned money for an expensive flight to Madrid. Not only were we very delayed on the way there, we were also delayed on the way back. We spent 3 hours back and forth on the tarmac stuck on an old bus in 100+ degree weather being delivered conflicting information, summed up to the seats being "broken". We got a "bathroom break" during which was talked to very rudely by the flight attendant at the gate, and then was almost left behind by the bus on the tarmac. Additionally, once we got onto the plane, it was extremely old (I'm talking no TV's, ashtrays on seats, filthy tables, dirty seats). To top it off, when I went to the restroom in the middle on the flight, I saw flight attendants drinking Tito's and soda in the back in the plane and talking loudly. I am not usually one to complain- but this was a particularly bad experience and terrible ending to my vacation."

Although I was exhausted because I had a 8 hour layover in Manchester, it would have been nice to have a couple of entertainment options. On my flight on British Airways from New York to Gatwick, we had so many movie and series options. These things are important on a long flight, otherwise the flight becomes torturous because you run out of things to do. On this flight, we had no choices, only what was given to us to watch. This made my flight unbearable."

I could have bought some new cloths but since I was TOLD my cloths would be arriving by 1-2:00pm and be delivered by early evening, I thought that not necessary. I believe I was told that so BA"

In addition, several families were not sitting together and were upset about their seating thus kept asking to switch seats which was bothersome. In addition, the entertainment needs an upgrade. The streaming was slow and would crash. Seats were uncomfortable. This direct flight is great, but Air India has a lot to work on."

Cons: "My flight from Delhi was at 4:40 in the morning they served us a Appetizer with no drinks no breakfast and few hours before landing in the morning they served dinner"
Cons: "I purchased seats through justfly but air india refused to honor my seat selection. In fact this happened earlier between SFO to Delhi and Delhi to Pune as well. Money down the drain."

Cons: "Flight was delayed by 5 hours. No reason given other than operational issues. What does that mean? All airport staff sucked at both airports. SFO more so. They broke my bag. There was no agents around for an hour.. Then they said 40$ is the maximum they pay for a broken bag!"

Cons: "I had lost my gold bracelet on the flight. I'm quite sure, left it on the seat. And when I tried to call air india's customer service number, they had no idea what's the right number to contact to check if there is any hope to finding that bracelet."

Cons: "There was only one major meal service on a 15 hour flight... the sandwiches and other food had gone bad - ended up with food poisoning after landing. Beverage choices were non. Existent - even basic options in business were not available. Product needs a thorough cleaning and some equipment didn’t work or wasn’t well maintained"

Cons: "Overhead reading light and TV display were broken rendering me without entertainment for 16 hours. I couldn't event charge my electronics to use them as a flashlight to read my books as the USB chargers were broken for the whole row. I couldn't even get the attendant's attention for a while since the attendant call-button was broken. By the time she walked by next (hours later) she restarted it but it didn't fix the issue and I had no way of getting her attention again for a while. Really awful experience."

Cons: "Entertainment systems broken for half of passengers on board. Broken tray tables, flight attendants admitted that this is very common and passengers will have to deal with it. All they offered was logging in log book which they told no one reads. Have video and picturen proof for all of these"

Cons: "I was pulled out of line at check in. The male employee grappled my passport and boarding pass and insisted that I follow him and check through the Indian Passport immigration line though I am an American citizen with a US passport. Then taken quite some distance to a back room where two male employees stared at me and wrote down my passport number and name in a log book. My passport and boarding pass were repeatedly taken and held without my permission. After checking thru customs, I was among the first to arrive at the designated gate 36 which was initially closed . When boarding time arrived, I was among the first on line to board. I was again pulled out of line and prevented from boarding until way past the last boarding call with no clear explanation. I am a 72 year old RN and was suffering from severe bronchitis and a head injury sustained on acsidewalk In the town of Solan while searching fur an ATM. No accommodations were provided for my age or physical condition. The unexplained, rude and cruel conduct by Air India employees constituted elder abuse. I feel an apology and a refund are the least that Air India needs to provide considering their cruel behavior. I would advise all seniors especially women to avoid flying Air India."
Cons: "The food is served buffet style. Obviously that does not keep it at the correct temperature for 25+ hours. I battled Food poisoning within hours from getting off the plane."
Cons: "Even after providing infant food option at time.of booking and selecting the same, there was no infant food in more than 12 hour journey and provided food was.spice so infant could not eat. This was SHOCKING and UNACCEPTABLE."
Cons: "My monitor for entertainment was not working at all. The flight attendant said he will reset it but it didn't work. Even my light didn't work. I was left doing nothing in the plane, neither watch entertainment on monitor nor read a book on a very long flight. This is a very poor service, I am considering not to fly on air India anymore."
Pros: "Convenient flight from Delhi to San Francisco, however our entire entertainment system was not working and the crew also misbehaved with us. I was sitting in 22H. My wife was in 22J and our other flight passenger in 22K also had issues with their system."
Cons: "Bad service, bad crew and also misbehaved with us. When we complained they said we can't do anything. It was a 16 hour non-stop flight. all systems should be checked before you leave the ground. Or you provide a capability of refunding your passengers."
Cons: "Air India Flights from SFO to New Delhi and New Delhi to SFO are pretty old. Almost 60 % of systems entertainment systems do not work. This is not acceptable considering such a long flight. Unfortunately passengers are left with no option apart feeling gruesome boring thru out journey. Food is also very bad. while it is understandable that it might be not par with other airlines in all ameneties , the basic needs to be met. Hope they look into this and fix it"

Horrible that someone did not even think about it"

Cons: "From Lucknow to Delhi, the flight was overbooked. I and my 4 years old was given seats which were already booked for other passengers. I had to stand in the aisle for about 20 minutes with my toddler until the crew sorted all the confusion. Instead of offering some help while waiting with a kid and cabin luggage, the crew wanted me to make sure there is space for them to move around. After arriving at the Delhi airport, I realized that my and my daughter's seats were not together. Seriously??Do I need to request for adjacent seats when travelling with a 4 years old? Isn't that obvious? May be not, for Air India employees... With her + Cabin luggage, they made me walk from international to domestic terminal to get our seat issue sorted. After I lost my patience and temper, I finally got seats together otherwise I was told - Sorry! Flight is full, so we can't do anything. Nothing unusual, Pathetic experience as always. I know I am wasting my time even by writing this review but I have to. Civic sense, customer service and humanity is what we Indian lack badly, so don't have much expectations anyways."
