Cons: "I could see on the Fly Delta app that I had been placed in seat 10B, but neither the app nor my boarding pass gave me a group to board with, so I assumed that I needed to board with group 3, which necessitated gate-checking my rollerboard bag. Only when I approached the gate to board did I notice on the info screen that I had been "upgraded" to Comfort + and granted boarding with the Sky Priority group. I wish this had been clearer so I could have avoided waiting to board and gate-checking my bag. Minor inconvenience but room for improvement on Delta's part."

Love Delta, I did not flight United because I wouldn’t have met my United flight once landing in ATL. The Young African American woman who was at the gate was amazing and so reassuring that I would make my flight to Chicago. Would book Delta, just because of how nice she was to me."

Pros: "The Delta people were solicitous, efficient and brilliant the whole way through. We had not a bit of trouble. Our first class seats were comfortable, but with the supplied blanket, pillow and poor air conditioning it was a hot flight. The cabin personnel were wonderful as per usual, and my tasty gin and tonic soothed any discontent. I wish I could fly this way all the time!"
Cons: "The private contractor handling wheelchair assistance was terrible. A Delta employee theorized that they do not pay enough to attract and retain personnel. Our pre-arranged chair was not there, multiple calls by our Delta assistant finally got us a ride to the chair holding area, but after about 45 minutes we gave up and shuffled off to the security area on foot. Thank goodness my hubby is mobile enough for that to have been an option. When we abandoned our wait we were still 4th in line for an attendant to push the chair. If Delta has any responsibility in this it would be in the retention and compensation for the private contractor."

Pros: "Accident on way to airport, so I showed up to check bags 45 minutes before flight time. They said they couldn't get the bag to the plane..in 45 minutes? So, they put on the next flight... 6 hours later. Said I could fly without the bag... uh, no thanks. They would not look for alternatives without charging me more. Flight attendants were crabby, otherwise everything was fine. I flew British Airways a few months ago. Night and day. Seriously. Delta does not even approach having good service. There was no comparison to British Air--- Delta is not in the same league."

Cons: "We booked with Delta, but were put on Air France. Even though we had our boarding passes in hand we had to wait in long, slow line for baggage tags because they would not print from kiosk. There was minimal Air France staff on duty serving thousands of passengers during busy season (July). While the lines grew larger, the staff was reduced from 4 to 2. Another long, slow line for customs, another long slow line for security=Charles De Gaulle airport was awful. We arrived at the airport 4 hours before our departure time and got to our boarding gate with no time to spare."

It just didn't feel safe. Landing scared me a little too as I have landed in O'Hare countless times and have never flown so low to the highway upon entry. It felt like we were only a couple hundred feet above the cars."

Cons: "temperature in the Premium Economy sections was freezing. Me and the person next to me wore 3 blankets each and were still shivering from the cold. The windows had ice on them (on the outside of course). Several people got up and wore their jackets and sweaters in addition to the blankets. In the Economy section the temperature was just fine (my husband sat there) and we had to alternate seats so that I don't freeze. He paid extra for me to have a more comfortable arrangement, but it ended up being way too cold. That did not happen on the way to Europe..."

Cons: "1. I was not aware or told that in-flight entertainment via Ipad required the united app. So I could not use that. I would appreciate better communication. 2. At one time, a crew member stuck his nose in the coffee pot - I think to smell which pot was coffee versus tea. But heck, who wants coffee after that? 3. The final lunch served was a sandwich that required heating of the sandwich. Served cold it was dry. By the way, the wrapper said the sandwich is oven ready! Good gracious. Follow the directions. 4. The attendant who served dinner came across as rushed. Like he was on a schedule or something. Are you guys timing the attendants? I personally felt he was rushed and cared more about dumping the tray in my lap than about looking me in the face and making human contact. 5. I fly to Amsterdam a lot and prefer the direct flights, ie KLM or United. So far KLM is winning me over in terms of service. I do think though that United can make easy improvements and provide better service. Remember, you are transporting people, not packages. Good luck."

Cons: "I have ordered Wheelchair for my parents which one of my parent didn't get it on Mumbai Airport. When they arrived on Amsterdam Netherlands Airport they were dropped to the gate assigned first and once the gate changed on the fly no body came to help them moving to the new gate assigned which was far away to walk. Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

Absolutely ridiculous and will NEVER fly Aer Lingus again!"

No help to rebook, so I stayed in Detroit and got to the airport early the next morning and paid my own way to Omaha, through Chicago. Again, no help from the Aer Lingus hotline (tried/on hold for 2.5 hours with no human service) or the United desk."

Then we couldn't get proper boarding passes and luggage tags until one of the crew members spent a significant amount of time untangling each leg of our trip so they were in the proper order. We got delayed by 4 hours in Chicago and missed our connection in Manchester. We had another 5 hour wait there. By the time we got to Dublin, our bags didn't also arrive. After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived but without all of our stuff."

Pros: "Great flight on this flight. Reagular earbuds work with entertainment system, seats were very comfortable with a bit of more leg room, again, the food was great."

The young lad taking me back through the process really didnt seem to have a full grasp on the process. Many of the seats required assistance in coming back from a reclined position. The selection of movies wasn't that spectacular, but I made do as best as possible. The meals, were adequate at best, and having to pay for spirits was also an additional negative having already paid for the trans-Atlantic journey."

Our group had to wait in line for our baggage tags because online system not coordinated with system in airport. The crew member I had in my aisle, on the return flight, was abrupt! Dinner tray delivery and pick up was slow, at least an hour after receiving the tray. Crew member offered me tea or coffee and assumed I did not want my sandwich when I responded no to those two choices. Crew seems to be distressed when water is requested."

My entertainment system for watching movies had major problems throughout the flight. The movie froze and I was forced to reset 6 different times throughout the flight. This is unacceptable. 2. The gentleman's chair in front of me was broken - once it was in the reclined position it would not go back into the upright position so I had very limited space especially when eating. The flight attendants kept trying to move it back into the upright position but it never really was fixed. 3. The plug in for ear phones is very outdated and has a two prong plug in. The ear phones provided in flight do work but the sound is very low quality and fuzzy. It would be nice to have the option to plug in my own headphones, however because normal headphones are a one prong plug in, they do not work. 4. Your arm rests do not fold up all the way. Why? This is a major flaw in the seat design and makes it impossible to stretch out if there is an empty seat next to you. 5. Passengers have to pay out of pocket for alcoholic beverages on international flights. This was disappointing as I usually fly Delta and they are included with all international flights."

Took forever to inch forward, lucky I arrived almost three hours early, as check in and bag drop almost made me late for my plane. Transferred to another plane in Reykjavik, and had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER in boarding. Airport is poorly marked, lucky it is small, because I finally figured out where to go. Huge crowd waiting to board, with NO gate agents or other Icelandair employees in sight. FINALLY the line started moving, but no announcement of boarding groups. Since I had an assigned seat I waited until the last in line to board. The first people in line must have sat in the plane for over an hour. The flight was delayed another hour because the luggage was not loaded. Horrible experience."

It's the fastest I have ever gotten my drinks on a plane. They also seemed to be very helpful to the family with small children ahead of us, and seemed to help the baby stop crying, which was nice."

Pros: "The crew was very professional and friendly. Enjoyed flying with them. I was able to get a dinner voucher for the delayed flight. The plane is quite large and has decent leg room for all. Lots of movies to see and tv shows."
Cons: "The air traffic control computers crashed at KEF. So all flights to the USA and Canada were delayed 3 hours or more. My seat didn't recline evidently because I was at an emergency exit."

The airport was completely jammed with people waiting to fly out to the point you could not access the bathrooms. My checked bag also must have been left outside in significant rain for quite some time because it was soaked completely through with water. I had a thick wool blanket on top as well as my clothes in packing cubes and it was all soaked with water. Terrible!! You get what you pay for."

Pros: "Decent airline ( you never hear of problems or disasters with them) and good pricing. Flight attendants professional and polite. Enough legroom. Loved the "Northern Lights" colored light display on the ceiling before takeoff! Good viewing choices at seats but headphones should be free."
Cons: "Keplavik airport MUCH too crowded!! Very poorly planned airport with hundreds of people squeezed into a small hallway for 5-6 gates -- really dangerous! A quick evacuation for any reason would have been impossible and there would be many many injuries. Not nearly enough seats for people waiting and this is a huge problem too. No free snacks of any kind on flights not good. Jetways very slow to attach to planes. International flights not near building -- why not? No water fountains. Not enough signs for people disembarking and they had to push through dense crowds--this did not make them happy. This new airport needs a serious redesign or much better in and out flights scheduling!! Dangerously overcrowded!"
