Cons: "The flight left two hours late. Apparently this happens a lot with this flight these days because it's an Airbus 380 coming from Paris to Dulles and turning around. The incoming flight was two hours late, so the departure was late. Our arrival in Paris was late. We made the flight, but our luggage didn't. Our return flight from Paris to Dulles was half an hour late because of people from connecting flights. We arrived about 30 minutes late, but no big deal (unless you had a connection)"

Cons: "We left DC late because of Delta's inefficient boarding process. We landed in Atlanta late. Our flight to Sioux Falls left early, without us. My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

Also I didnt like that i had to stand and wait for 3 hours in the line because my flight was canceled but no one could let us know if there gonna be any flights within the day. I slept in the airport because i couldnt find a hotel to spend the night close to the airport. They were all full and i had no time to find one since I was waiting there for 3 hours with no informational. I slept on the floor and delta didnt even offer us a blanket. That was my worst trip ever."

While I understand there are some delays sometimes, this was the ONLY flight to Greensboro out of DCA, and the times kept changing throughout the day, even though the gate agents knew that the issue was that the crew was delayed. There should be backup crew available and when there are delays, the passengers should be kept informed. There should be other flight options available when this happens. I never received an apology from anyone I encountered throughout the process, and some personnel were rude even though I was polite."

After waiting 10 minutes I️ went upstairs and found a chaotic mass of people checking in at the actual open kiosk. The check in process was not clearly defined and even after spending 30 minutes checking a bag I️ still had to care my checked bag down to another TSA check line. In their boarding area there were minimal phone chargers. The plane was small and no leg room and a rigid uncomfortable seat. Also the flight was at night and they kept the cabin lights on. That was super frustrating to an exhausted traveler who was trying to sleep."

Cons: "This flight was on Canadian Air under the auspices of United. I was not allowed into the United Club lounge despite the fact that I had business class ticket. I was informed that a business class ticket isn't sufficient for using the lounge when flying domestic. It is only good when flying international. They call that customer service. I generally avoid domestic airlines because of the customer service. The flight attendants were not happy to serve you. It's a small flight but they didn't even offer a snack -- you had to ask for it. And then they brought over a small basket with nuts, chips, candy bars, and a muffin. I took a muffin and it stuck to the roof of my mouth -- very poor quality. When I asked for a snack the flight attendant replied cocktail or soft drink never saying whether or not a snack was available.. She said this a couple of times before I could repeat that I wanted a snack to which she replied you want something to drink with that. I've been on many short flights in Asia and they will deliver a full meal and you don't have to ask for it. There was no entertainment but United did send an email explaining how I could purchase entertainment to play on my own device."

Because we had to do check our carry-on bags, we were 5 minutes later to the gait where the airline refused to wait for us to board although another passenger who did not have to wait for her bag was able to board the flight Albany. We therefore had to take a shuttle to Reagan international Airport, fly on a different airline to Hartford Connecticut, rent a car and drive 2 hours to finally reach our destination in Albany."

I spent nearly 3 hours trying to find babysitters and alternate rides all while the snotty lady at the desk kept saying "you may not be flying out today but I cant tell you for sure". So to insure the bottom line you overbook then bump people at your leisure? This little game effects many lives above and beyond just the passengers. I don't plan on booking with United ever again. Why would I? There are many other options that take customer service more seriously. I would love to speak to someone higher up in this organization. But, im sure that will never happen."

Cons: "I got an email at 8am saying my flight could be delayed but should show up on time. My flight was at 4:55pm so great start there. So I show up an hour and a half ahead of boarding, which is on the latter side for me. Security lines weren't very long, they just took their time which wasted everyone else's. I get through that line, look at the departure board - wait IT'S ON TIME?! They start boarding soon if it's on time and it's a further gate so I run down there and guess what? Delayed an hour. Okay, that's fine. Go grab something to eat, come back, settle in for a little bit, board - on my sweet way. Go grab some food quickly, come back - another hour delay? What the heck? I must've missed an announcement. Guess I should plug in my phone for the wait, I expected to meet some friends and potential clients layer that night, communication is key. I misplaced my charger, no big deal just went and got one of those power rods (highly recommend) and come back - ANOTHER HOUR?! That's pretty insane. One of my friends flying from Dallas that departed at 7:30 could be up in the air before I am. Step aside, give him a call to update, call potential clients letting them know I will be delayed getting there. No issue. Turn around - my goodness well what do you know, another hour! At this rate I call my hotel, because I can't lose my reservation if I can't check in on time. Hotel was the waterfront crowne plaza (another highly recommended item in this review by me). I plant in my seat, set my roots, meet a few nice people. Figuring I'd kill some time by meeting some great people. Met a family from Detroit and got some awesome food recommendations. Randomly over the speaker - we have another delay - another HOUR delay. Well this is just turning into a horror story, will I ever get there? Should I request a new flight? My buddy in Dallas departed 3+ hours after I was supposed to, and was up in the air already (he landed before me too). At this rate I cancel my meeting. We board, we take off, we land. Woman sitting next to me was nice. Plane didn't crash. Just landed in Detroit about 7+ hours later than expected. All in all, don't take spirit. Looking at prices they are the cheapest, not by a huge margin though. Pay the extra 70 or so dollars to take another airline. Even if it's $150 dollars more, take the other airline. They want to charge you 65 dollars for a carry-on. Their website was created by a 12 year old. Simply getting your boarding pass includes cross and up sells that make the process 10x more frustrating, especially when you know what you're dealing with on the second flight back. (By the way spirit if you can read this I'm a consultant for advertising, digital media, and UI for e-commerce - I can help you with your terrible website and the offers that come along with it) Just take the other airline, any other. It won't save you money most likely, but it will save you a lot of headaches, time, and embarrassment."

Pros: "The convenience of buying - for a reasonable price early zone 2 boarding. I don't mind paying for carry on or checked luggage but I thought the prices were a little high and ultimately it just is misleading because your 'cheap' advertised fair isn't really cheap with all the upcharges."
Cons: "The arm of my chair was broken. That you don't get told that you don't need to buy security expedite if you have toss precheck already. But customer service totally made good and credited me back. I rated Food and entertainment only one star because you either needed to pay and I didn't participate or it wasn't available - you need a N/a category."

Cons: "Customer service handling flyers not getting on board. Unwilling to work with flyers to come to a resolution. Watched as plane pulled back from the terminal before departure time."
Cons: "Flight was canceled. Spirit did not have any solutions. I had to buy a one way ticket out of pocket, not reinbursed by Spirit, in order to make the wedding the next day. That ticket cost me more than spirits round trip ticket. I will never fly Spirit again. I will do everything in my power to see that Spirit does not get any more business. I would recommend that Kayak not use Spirit Airline."

Cons: "I got there early to check in, only to have the ticket agents continue to call customers of other flights, such that I barely made it on time for my plane. To boot, there was a Spirit ticket agent just standing there doing nothing behind a computer while there was a super long line. People started to go up to her to ask questions, and then she was helping them with tickets using the computer. Then she started to help people in line. She just stood there for about 45 minutes doing nothing though. Ridiculous. I'll never fly this airline again."
Cons: "Flights were delayed and over booked, I didn't have a seat and couldn't make my final destination. Had to pay 400 to book another flight with another airline."
Pros: "The crew was amazing; so funny and entertaining. Loved the pricing to customize what I did/didn't want and to give me the cheapest fare possible. LOVE that they now fly non-stop from Hartford to Myrtle Beach."

I understand spirit is "unbundled" but paying $90 round trip for a small carry on + all the extra small charges I could have easily flown with a higher quality airline. The flights did not leave on time and the flight attendants, although polite did not give the same level of service as other airlines I fly with. And what is with the baby tray table? I almost laughed! I will not fly with spirit again...I'd rather stay home."
Pros: "The flight from Myrtle to Boston was on time and actually landed 15 min early. My boyfriend and I got to sit near each other and had privacy. Super comfy new seats and room to stretch."
Cons: "Our flight from Boston to Myrtle was an hour and 1/2 delayed because of a crew member being late. Very irresponsible. We were all exhausted and some people had connecting flights that may have been missed. Crew talked to each other a lot and missed some passenger requests. I believe the flight attendant said it was a Chicago crew. The $50 luggage fee is a bit much. Thought the old policy was more fair. I like Spirit for its affordability which is going away now."
Pros: "Baby changing tables in the bathrooms, meaning your tray table is much cleaner!"

Pros: "I managed restaurants for years, so I want to start off by saying I'm VERY forgiving when it comes to mistakes. 4 out of the 5 flights I've mistakenly subjected myself to with Spirit have been absolutely atrocious in every way imaginable. This one was so horrible I can't even type the story in fear I'll start to relive it. Trust me and please let my pain and suffering be reconciled through saving you the pain of walking in the shoes of a Spirit Airlines customer. If ever considering a flight with Spirit...just say no. If for some crazy reason they draw you in with a price, schedule, airport location, or any other reason or combination of reasons...I promise you, it isn't worth it. Even if the flight is free, you'll feel cheated and short changed in the end after you overcome the shear disbelief that any company could survive operating the way they do. And if you're still considering Spirit at this point, I wish you luck...you'll need plenty of it. They're mediocre 20^ of the time. If you're flight is like the greater 80% of my experiences, Lord help you."
Cons: "Everything but the color yellow in their logo. And PS, any of these good reviews have got to be friends and family. Spirit Airlines couldn't hit a 10 on their best day. Virgin can hit a 10, but Spirit...their top end can't be higher than a 4"

Cons: "The plane boarded about 90 minutes late. At the planned boarding time, the crew announced that there was a system-wide computer outage, so they would wait to board us until the computers got back online. Every 30 minutes after that they made a similar announcement. If they had just boarded us manually to begin with, which they eventually had to do, we would have been loaded ontime. Even when we were all on the plane, the pilot announced that they didn't have the correct FAA paperwork and we had to wait longer. We were only on a short flight, but if we had driven, we would have made it to our destination earlier (a 6.5 hour drive). Never flying Spirit again."

Cons: "The airline charges a carry on which I didn't see clearly when booking my flight. They also don't offer complimentary beverages; which isn't a huge deal. However, I would of brought a drink with me if I knew that. The aircraft felt very dirty, the seats had stains all over them. I felt gross sitting in my row."
Cons: "After pushing back departure by over three hours, they cancelled the flight. Terrible communication by staff - found out about cancellation when I walked past a concourse gate assignment monitor. Earliest rebooking was two days later."
Pros: "The Crew was nice."
Cons: "They have cheaper Tickets than any other Airline, but they make their money through everything else. One suitcase is 38$, you have no carry-on free, carry-ons are even more expensive than a regulär suitcase. You just get one Personal item free, not more. Was on a Five hour flight to LA and got nothing. No food, not even water. For everything I had to pay. They don't have WiFi, no on board entertainment. The seats was small and uncomfortable. Oh and in teirs suitcases they just allow 18 kg, not 23 like everyone else. So I had 24 kg and they charged me 55$ for they overweight. Their Tickets might be cheap, but in the end for me it would have been better flying with another Airline."
Cons: "I was asked to change my seat from 29A to 3E to accommodate a family who wanted to sit together. I was told that 3E was a better seat. 3E turned out to be a nightmare. A row away was a child who screamed for 75% of the flight but that wasn't the worst part. 3E was situated between a man and a woman who must have weighed 450 pounds! I literally had half of a seat for the entire flight. I really feel that I should be reimbursed because of how uncomfortable I was forced to fly for the entire flight. A person of that size should not be squeezed into a row of three seats."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and joked throughout the flight."
Cons: "The return trip was horrible. The staff at the Myrtle Beach airport enforced the bag fee that I overlooked when booking the trip. I travel quite a bit and used to one free roll on bag. They treated me like a criminal before boarding. I will not fly with Spirit again."
Cons: "I was harassed , demeaned, demoralized by the security staff that took me through the metal detector. I felt it I would ask where my suitcase was I would have been detained and held against my will I reported the incident to a representative of the security or what I assumed was security on the phone. The person I asked if I could make a complaint just shoved a card and said go online and report it. He never asked what happened. I am appalled that as much investigations that are going on that still treat people the way they do. Still was the worst experience of my entire life and I am not exaggerating. The sad part is I have another flight scheduled."
Cons: "Flight was 1.5 hrs late and we never got an explanation. The lady from spirit said the flight was late the night before too so I think the flight is regularly late"

Cons: "I recommend that Kayak discontinue their relationship with Spirit Airlines. The staff are incompetent and in general not interested in customer service."
Cons: "I'd give it no stars if I could because the flight never left. They delayed it due to weather, then canceled due to crew time expiring. All well and good, but the next flight out they had available seats on was 4 days later, on Monday. Since I had to be in a wedding, I kind of had to fly out, so I ended up paying $900 (!!!!!) on a last minute flight on delta. I'll never try to save money up front again. Spirit assured me I'd have a refund in 5-7 business days, which was clearly useful in helping me buy my ticket to actually get to my destination."
