There was also a terrible odor that several others said they could also smell. The attendant said that there was nothing that could be done, and we suffered through the entire flight. Also, the TV control was broken and there was no option to turn off the TV. The attendant said that there would be a $25 voucher issued for compensation. We have not heard a peep from anyone!"

Free TV didn't work right, so at did not recline (no it wasn't an exit row.). Most of the crew and gate attendants were rude and indifferent except for on flight attendant. The entire row of seats didn't recline at all. She was very apologetic and acknowledged it was uncomfortable especially on a 5+hour flight. She did offer us something to eat, blankets earbud. Still my back was killing me upon arrival at Phoenix. JEt Blue. Get your act together. This is unacceptable."

Cons: "It was just a mechanical issue that forced our plane to turn around 2 hours already into the flight, return to JFK, and then wait another two hours to board a new flight to go to PHX. So a planned 10 pm arrival in PHX turned into 6 am. I'm not sure there's anything that could have been done other than checking for that situation before we departed originally (if possible), and maybe being able to land somewhere closer than having to return all the way to JFK. I know JetBlue doesn't have a ton of locations or planes yet, so our options may have been limited. We did receive a $100 credit, but it was a pretty painful flight, basically turning into a red eye after departing originally at 6 pm. Again, I'm not sure if there were any other options, just wanted to report my experience. My flights have typically been on time with JetBlue and I am a Mosaic member. It may have helped if there was better communication back at the JFK airport (knowing it would be two hours instead of thinking we were getting right back on the plane), maybe we could have relaxed in a restaurant or something. It was just exhausting waiting and getting later and later. There isn't an Admirals Club or anywhere relaxing for passengers to wait in a circumstance like that. Thanks."

For most short haul flights, this is not a big deal, but it really makes for an unpleasant journey on the cross-country flights. Also, the four-seat middle section is so poorly designed. There is no way to store personal items under seats without invading the space of your neighbor because the metal frame supporting the row of seats doesn't match with the seats themselves. 2. Entertainment: United could not support continuous streaming of movies/TV shows for every passenger. My movie paused and froze so frequently that I gave up on finishing it and then felt like I had wasted my time. The speed and reliability reminded me of trying to watch movies on a dialup connection. It would be so much better to just have the TV screens built into the seats. All in all, United got a bad batch of planes and should try to take this into consideration when working with Boeing/Airbus on the next order."

They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport."

Cons: "The baggage fees are ridiculous. Your bags should never cost more than you (the customer). You try and check in online and they want to charge you more to pick a seat. The seats are tight. The tray table is the same size as my cell phone. (The smallest I have ever seen). Airtravel has reached an all time low with Frontier. I was glad my return flight was on SWA. SWA was cheaper fare, has better seats and a better table, and no baggage fee."

It was tiring, frustrating, and caused a lot of issues with my ride in Phoenix. I do understand, however, that many of the issues were unavoidable, such as mechanical problems and missing mechanics, but it was frustrating nevertheless."

They were rude; they didn't help their customers, including families with kids, get on other airlines; said they would try to getpeople out of SFO in the next couple days! When I realized I would not get to the wedding I was trying to attend, they siad they wouldn't refund my money' When I insistedon a refund they then said there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee. Eventually, they agreed on a refund. Pretty poor way to run a business. On the other hand, when I needed to cancel my Enterprise car rental, I was able to do it in less than two minutes over the phone - no hassle."

They advertise that they cut back on all of the luxuries to save money on the ticket itself but after all of the extra charges you end up paying more than with any major airline. Not only do they charge you for checked bags, you get charged $30 for a carry on bag, $60 if you don't check in online before your flight. You have to pay extra for pretty much any seat on the plane. My wife and I paid $16 per person to sit in the window and middle seat in the second to last row. Nothing is complimentary. They even charge you if you want more than one cup of water which should be illegal. The seats are horribly uncomfortable (think stadium seating at a baseball game). Also, the customer service over the phone is awful. The employees literally read from a script and say the same thing over and over again until you give up. This is officially the worst airline I have ever travelled with and will never choose Frontier again."

I was pleasantly surprised that the flight from San Francisco to Phoenix was only 1.5 hours, when frequent travelers of this route said that it usually takes 2 hours. Pilot was great. Ordered snacks and drinks. Pleasantly surprised that the Chex Mix was a sizable bag and not an air-filled handful of snacks. Free newspapers at the entrance of the flight was GREAT!"
Cons: "Pretty sure our two middle-aged flight attendants were NOT sober. The first clue came when they were doing the safety demo and something seemed off. Later when they were coming around with drinks it was obvious to me that they had been drinking. Hey, don't get me wrong, I ordered a drink on the plane too! But, they were so slow with service, being overly chatty and smart-assy with everyone they talked to. I'm all for having fun, but these women went a little overboard and were slow to serve, and sassy where it was unwarranted. I was traveling with 2 other friends, we were all seated separately, and when we met up after landing, they said the same thing. Two jeers for the staff, I've never seen this before. I will say that I flew the same airline home and the staff there was wonderful, and sober as far as I could tell."
Pros: "My return flight from Houston to SFO was scheduled to depart at 2:50 pm. I showed up at noon to check in, and had to wait an hour for Frontier personnel to show up to man the check-in desk. Two of the three automated kiosks were out of order, as well."

If you check in online and pack a reasonable amount of toiletries and a laptop into a travel bag, you can expect a travel experience that is superior to Greyhound for the same or less. Don't compare them to first class on Emirates, that would be unfair. Compared to Greyhound or Ryanair, it was a superior travel experience."

They should have started rebooking us on other flights as soon as we got there. By the time they cancelled the flight all the other airlines at the airport were closed. They told us they couldn't help us and we would have to call their 800 number. I was on the phone for 3-1/2 hours on my outgoing flight and didn't have that much time for this flight. They didn't care at all about their customers. In the end it cost them more because they put us up at a hotel for the night and gave us a meal voucher."

I was in a line of about 5 people, and after 20 minutes a group of employees finally shuffled out and one of them was still eating food out of a cup while "getting ready to open", as he told us. He was inconsiderate and rude when telling me he wouldn't check my bag early, and also informed me with a smirk that my flight was delayed 3 hours as well. No explanation. The rest of the customer service I experienced from the gate attendants and flight attendants was apathy at best- a far cry from the service I've received with many other airlines. My flight home was delayed an additional hour, and upon boarding we found out this was due to "our plane" being used for a different flight. I guess I didn't think that a smaller airline would have so many issues, but I was disappointed almost every step of the way. The website had multiple issues while I tried to navigate the process of adding a suitcase & choosing a seat, and I wasn't able to get my boarding pass printed at home and had to sign back in twice because there were website errors. We landed a half hour early on the way to Boston, but had to sit on the tarmac for exactly a half hour because there are only two Spirit gates. Once landed, we also waited a half hour for our bags at the carousel. Maybe one of these things would go wrong with another airline, but I've never had so many in one trip. I had heard some negative reviews about the airline, and thought I'd give it a shot, but never again. I'd rather pay more money up front and fly with Delta than be miserable the entire time I'm en route somewhere."

Cons: "Spirit nonstop flight 616 from BOS to MSP on Tuesday July 26 was delayed for 4 hours due to mechanical problems with the plane, which was at BWI trying to depart for Minneapolis. Customers in Boston had to wait for it to be repaired in Baltimore and then flown to Minneapolis and THEN come back to Boston to pick up passengers. Scheduled departure was 7:42pm which got delayed four hours to 11:42pm resulting in a 2:20am arrival at MSP. Problem: At no time was this four hour delay announced over the loudspeakers to those waiting in the gate area, nor were there any options announced for those who could have returned home and flown the next day. Spirit did send email or text updates, but for those customers without cell phones or service, there was nothing. If I'd known, I could have gotten a good night's sleep at home and flown out the next day. Instead, it was four hours of tired adults and children waiting while restaurants and shops closed down with no updates announced. I don't mind the 'no frills' style, but Spirit"

A 9 pm boarding time became a 12:30 boarding time. Our flight was continuously pushed back for a maintenance issue. I was standing next to someone who had been traveling for 14 hours thanks to a flight that had been pushed back several times and then canceled. There was no management present and only one person with little to no information about the issue at our temporary gate (an American Airlines gate with a plastic sprit sign propped on the kiosk). I was sent 2 emails earlier in the day- one that urged me to arrive 2 hours early because lines at security have been longer than normal, another that claimed mt flight was delayed but I was still on the hook to be present for my original takeoff time. if they managed to get their act together - I certainly had to be there ready to go. The manager that was able to change anything about the situation was unreachable, the only recourse to try and change anything / request a different flight etc. was a help email address where you wait 72 hours for a response. After we all board the only friendly helpful voice was from the pilot who told us the issue was that the plane we have boarded had a part broken that wouldn't let the engine start without outside help - and still we were taking this plane with known engine problems to our destination. The flight attendants hid in the back, barely making eye contact. We've now been on the waiting for 3 hours, at least 2 hours of this time where the every shop and restaurant at airport has been shut down and you can't buy food or water. We are waiting for takeoff on the plane for over 30 minutes and the flight attendants are literally no where to be found. I have never been stuck that long without even an offer for a glass of water or mention of progress toward take off staff usually go out of their way to be nice and helpful especially if there are problems, which we all know at times are inevitable. We landed at 2am. - overall it was one of the most disorganized flights I've ever taken. There are obviously some big issues at spirit air that trickle down from upper management. We were issued a $50 voucher for our trouble, but honestly they can keep it. I won't be flying with them again even if they're prices seem low (until they nickel and dime you for every single service, bag bigger than a purse, even help at the desk to print your boarding pass?!). Be warned the low up front cost is hardly worth the gamble - go with a more compitent airline."

Getting an assigned seat, an extra $15 per person. And there was absolutely no leg room for that extra $15 (which I paid for). These costs should be shared upfront - basically every ticked is $50-$65 more than the website shows. I will not fly this airline again."

My flight was going to be on time but the decided to give that plane to the people heading to Vegas because they had been delayed all morning. Spirit told us we would be delayed four hours, then 30 minutes later they said the flight was completely cancelled. I had to go back to the main terminal to pick up my bags and had to go to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter to rebook and get a refund. The line was so long and slow it would have taken hours to talk to someone from Spirit. I called Customer Service and was on hold for 50 minutes before I could finally get refunded. This made me miss the last Spring Training game in AZ! I've been flying for 35 years and this was the worst flying experience in my life!"
