Boarding was a breeze. I like that they offered to check carry-ons. Considering we already had checked luggage it just made things that much easier. Drink options were good. I especially liked the bloody Mary mix with the lime packet. That was so delicious! Used to traveling other airlines where they have individual screens for each seat. Alaska does it different and you have to have your own device in order to access their media content.

The smoke po ut of Canada got SeaTac so backed up that many flights were either sever ew ly delayed or cancelled altogether. I feel like I wasted not only my own but this world renowned doctor's time too. I wish the airline would have put out a warning hours before the flight's original departure."

Pros: "Flying Alaska airlines is always something I have a bittersweet relationship. I love almost everything that Alaska does to improve their airline. Their wifi is some of the best in the US and its very affordable. Their "picnic box" snacks are awesome and unique, better than what you will find elsewhere, they have USB and full AC outlets at every seat, and their rewards program is the best in the business. By all accounts, AlaskaAir would be my favorite airline out there. But the staff that Alaska hires is just so terrible. Everytime I fly with them, they have simply the worst staff. Pair this with some of the best features of any airline and it leaves me scratching my head on whether or not I want to fly with them or to fly with an airline like Delta which might have fewer frills, but offers much better staff to help you."

Guess where my seat was on the new flight? Yep, all the way in the back away from my team."

We were able to make a connecting flight to a different town and had to rent a car to drive 2 hrs to our original destination. First time flying with Alaska Airlines was not a great experience."

The coffee was not the best but the little cookies are always delicious, and as the flight was not even an hour there was no need for in flight entertainment, so I read on my tablet ad listened to music for the entirety of the flight."

My husband and I had a 20 hour layover in LA coming back from Costa Rica and we asked if we would have to pay another fee to recheck our bag for the second flight. They were very understanding and waived the fee since our overnight stay in LA was technically a layover and we had previously made the whole reservation for both flights at once using their company. Overall we liked our experience with Alaska and would definitely use them again!"

Cons: "My only complaint was with check-in. I used the self-serve kiosk, which was easy to follow and efficient. The problem arose when I needed to check my bag. The computer instructs the passenger to go to the "baggage drop-off area," which I did. However, there was nobody there to receive my bag or to check my ID and give me a boarding pass. There was staff helping other customers at the "full-service" area, and I tried to get their attention. All I got in return was a head shake "no." This was especially frustrating since one of the staff members was observing other staff -- not actually working the computer to check in customers. I understand that she may not be able to leave her post to operate another post, but it seems reasonable to walk the mere 10 feet over to me to explain that I am in the right area and someone will assist me shortly. I ended up getting in line, which defeats the purpose of the kiosk, only to see a staff member show up to the drop off area. Going back, everything went fine from there."

We paid for preferred seating for extra leg room. On 3of the 4 flights the preferred seating were regular seats with no extra leg room. It was deceitful to advertise those seats at preferred seating. I would not have wasted my money paying extra had I known what I was getting.
It was hard to hear the PA announcements for boarding. Maybe also post the info on the screen? Or allow the attendant to pull down his mask when speaking into the PA system?

More than half the plane had no seats assigned until 20 minutes before boarding, and the seats were displayed on a screen a good 25 feet away from the gate, meaning people had to constantly walk back and forth between the doorway and the screen. The gate agents were clearly overwhelmed. If this is how Delta is organized now, I won't be flying on them again."

Thank goodness for Delta Lounge (even if it was the one in PHL). Just snacks make this a poor option for many. I don't know what is up, but the USB charger on the two monitors didn't work and neither did the outlet between the seats. And I have two different sets of cables "just in case" and they're the 3-in-1 so I can try to charge multiple devices (Apple, Android and Samsung) but nothing worked."

I had less then 10 mins to get from medford plane to denver plane. Thats running and up 2 flights of stairs and getting to door in nick of time. I missed a day of work and basically unless an emergency i wont fly united again."
Pros: "This flight went on time and was comfortable for a short flight. The staff was friendly."
Cons: "Very small airplane with no screens to watch videos."
Cons: "Overbooked both my flights and I was a last minute addition to the first flight."
Pros: "Nice crew, quick boarding, quick service."
Cons: "Only thing they lacked was entertainment. You could download an app for everything, but there were no plugs to charge your device."
Cons: "I'm usually a patient person, but my flight was supposed to leave at 525am and didn't leave until 730. This was the first flight in the morning. We boarded, waiting 30 minutes on the plane, they told us to get off because there were computer issues. Why wasn't that checked before everybody was boarded? Once we got on the plane we had to wait another 30 minutes for the crew to get someone's luggage from under the plane. Why wasn't that done while the computer was getting fixed? I didn't get to Denver until 1040am missed my flight and didn't get to get on my connection until 500pm. In the meantime I called to get on a different flight at 1, but the guy on the phone didn't actually book me a seat. The gate people weren't very nice."
Pros: "They were always very attentive to let you know about gate changes or seat changes. Which to me personally is very important. I have had very bad experiences with other airlines in the past because they did not communicate properly their gate change and I missed my flight and missed events I was flying for. Excellent job to United for communicating gate changes very well! They did not break any of my luggage and the seats were fairly comfortable. The employees were also very attentive and willing to answer any questions."
Cons: "It was a bit confusing gate wise. I did have to ask an employee what was going on but they cleared up the confusion pretty quick. I flew on a jet verses a regular plane, and it was very loud. I had my movie turned up all the way with headphones and I still could barely hear it. It wasn't the fact that I couldn't hear my movie but in general it just hurt my ears. I was sitting towards the back of the jet though so I'm assuming if I was closer to the front it wouldn't have been as bad? Overall it was still a great experience"

Pros: "Flight was great, liked getting the reminders to pre check in 24 hours ahead."
Cons: "Plane was late then sat on run way for 30 minutes. Over one hour late."

Cons: "One gate agent spoke rudely to a passenger for throwing something in her trash can, she could have stated what she needed to more kindly, especially in front of other customers."

Cons: "She missed this flight due to her first flight from Little Rock getting cancelled."
Pros: "That flight had no entrainment. So it wasn't bad, just not available on that short flight"

Cons: "Could not make seat assignments for second leg of trip on line , had to wait until boarding agents to a rive 45 minutes before flight. Did not get assigned seats until most passengers were seated. They did get us is eats but not together !"

Cons: "My connecting flight was sent without me- I paid for upgraded seats that I never got, they tried giving me a connector that didn't get back to Baltimore until 1030pm after my day started at 3am for a flight at 5:30am... Then finally got a connecting flight into Virginia and had to drive 2 hours to get my car from Baltimore. Never flying United again."
Pros: "Boarding was quick once it happened"
Cons: "Both of my united flights were delayed due to crew issues, one they were stuck in traffic, we'll they should leave early like we do. The next they were late for some clearance issues. The seats on this air craft were very thin and uncomfortable, you could feel the metal."
Pros: "Everything. Great easy flight"
Cons: "Plane delay so for an hour flight I had to stay at the airport for 3 hours till the next flight. With not even a sorry."
Cons: "Flight was originally cancelled then it got delayed an hour the next day because of a catering truck not being there on time.. Freaking joke"
