I was told the plane was full and they could not change my "preferred" seat although I did see empty seats on the plane after takeoff. Also bathroom facilities were poor - only two in the back for the entire economy seating. And the aisles were narrow."

Pros: "They only had one plane, it was weather delayed at its previous airport, then it ariver with mechanical problems. Customer service promised me the flight would be leaving that day, it ended up being cancelled. We were at the airport for 9 hours before they cancelled which meant that rebook in a flight on a different airline cost twice as much and was difficult and could only be done for the next day. Customer service was useless. The gate crews are third party contractors and can't do anything because of frontier's policies. I reported them to Dept of transportation and they keep sending the response that they have too many complaints to respond to and they wI'll get to it eventually."

Cons: "When I went to sit down in my middle seat there was two larger women on either side of me. If I was any bigger, I am a 5' 4" 110 lb woman mind you, I would not have fit in between these women. If you keep shrinking your seats, no one will fly with you. In the future, I will be booking my flights further in advance with an airline that has seats to accommodate someone who is the size of a full sized man or woman."

When we talked to the staff about it they changed there reason and they finally told us the truth; which was a staffing issue. I guess the previous flight crew decided they had enough and they didn't want to fly to Minneapolis."

Cons: "Deceptive pricing -- I did not see full, true cost of baggage including taxes and fees until I got my email receipt! Seats were cramped and did not recline. My flight was delayed in the air supposedly because of storms, but a colleague flying the same route at the same time on a different airline had no such trouble. After finally landing, we sat 45 minutes before getting to a gate. The flight attendants were rude about seat belts and bathroom use. Uncomfortable, unreliable, slow, unclear and NOT cheaper than other options! I can think of no reason why I should ever use this airline again."

The jet bridge was bitter cold and we were forced to stand in line for several minutes freezing while baby strollers were being folded up. Departure/arrival: The plane left late and arrived late. No explanation or apology was offered. Flight crew: No one said anything to us and we were never offered even a cup of water or an opportunity to order anything. Completely ignored."

But the worst part was the totally unexpected charge of $50.00 for each checked bag and $55. for each carry-on bag (over the one freebie). What a rip-off. It made our tickets so much more expensive that we would have been better off with almost any other carrier. Never again Spirit, your a scam."
