Pros: I’m 6’3”, more legs than upper body. We sat in row 19 of a 737-900 and I had plenty of leg room in the middle seat. The middle eastern chicken meal was delicious! Free Wi-Fi for chatting/iMessages was really nice.
Cons: The broccoli in my meal was brown and yellow. How is that possible? I didn’t have the app for watching movies. And I didn’t want to pay for wireless in order to download the app to watch free entertainment. So their network team should allow their firewall opend up to whatever port that can make that happen.

Cons: My emotional therapy dog of 7 pounds got part of her paw ripped off on an airport escalator. Though she was bleeding profusely all over me, I was not allowed to use the first aid kit to bandage her. I had to bring her to an emergency vet upon landing in Minneapolis

They put my husband and I in an exit row and my daughter at the back of the plane with strangers. I was not comfortable with strangers being responsible for my child. I assumed they would seat children with at least one parent. We did ask to move at the gate and the accommodated us with the last row on the plane. No recline, no window, and right next to the bathrooms. We took it to be with our kid but this policy needs to be revised. Kids should always be seated with the adult responsible for them... who knows what kind of person might end up next to my child. Not to mention if she had needed something is the stranger gonna take care of it? It’s just a bad practice imo.

Cons: Poor communication, a 6 hour delay followed by a 7 hour layover (during which we had to sleep on an airport floor because Delta couldn't offer us any hotel vouchers). Gate agents disappeared after 7pm becuase they were due to be done with their shifts when our flight was originally supposed to leave at 6 pm. It felt like we were trapped in the movie The Terminal. Oh! And our bag was misrouted, because that was just how things went those 2 days. All in all a 6 hour trip turned into 18 hours. I could have driven home in that amount of time!

Pros: The gate agent and cabin crew handled passenger's misery with friendly grace and professionalism. Also, it was an old plane and so the seats, even in coach, were comfortable.
Cons: Plane was around 45 minutes late in arriving at our Minneapolis gate. Flight was further delayed by something (unspecified) being "frozen." WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin.

Pros: Very efficient boarding; crew had the foresight to ask for travelers to gate-check their bags due to a full flight and that saved a lot of boarding time and hassle.
Cons: The seats on this aircraft looked like that had a 2-2 configuration; it's now 3-2 making it pretty cramped in Coach.

Cons: On the MSP to ATL leg the gate crew made a huge deal about checking rolling bags. They even stopped us at check-in and nearly begged us to check our bags pointing to the backed up jetway. But we had a lot of unpacking to do before checking our bags so we politely declined three times. On getting to our seats there were at least 8 open slots for bags near us. I heard a crew member call forward to say "tell them no more rollaboards" so they forced everyone left to check. On departure they slammed shut several very large empty overheads. WTF

Pros: All was quiet. It was an early flight. Nice offer of more snack choices than other airlines.
Cons: Didn't understand why I had to wait until getting to the gate to have a seat assigned when I purchased tickets several months ago. Since I was in the last boarding group, Had to check in my bag since it was already full, had fragile stuff in there and hoping everything is ok. it is what it is. Not anyone's fault but disappointing to have to do when I didn't plan on checking in and going to pick up at the baggage claim. This is what i wanted to avoid in the first place. could have at least offered to let us pick them up as we deplaned and not baggage claim!

Pros: Over crowded. Scaled down the aisle to add extra seats. I weigh 100lbs. and am 5'2". My knees were crammed into seat in front of me. No beverage or food service and no discount for that.

Cons: When I bought my ticket, I didn't realize I would have to pay $35 to put a bag in the overhead compartment and $35 to check a bag; only a personal item under the seat in front of me was free (came with the ticket price). This resulted in the ticket being at least $70 more expensive than I anticipated. Probably could have gotten a cheaper flight overall. Also, the plane was 2 hours and 45 minutes late in taking odf, resulting in landing 1:00 am. I picked my flight time deliberately to avoid flying after about 11:30 pm. With the lateness of the flight, I probably could again have gotten a cheaper flight that was scheduled to land in the wee hours of the morning. Finally, the complimentary food was non-existent - didn't even get a cookie or small bag of pretzels. Did get a free drink and water.

Pros: One helpful person at baggage check.
Cons: We arrived early at recommended time. The line was so long that by the time our family of 6 reached the front, they had put us on standby for 8 hours later, then that flight was delayed. SunCountry owes me not only what I paid for tickets, but also for my PTO used, my spouse’s PTO and the expenses incurred which include food and the UBer because the car rental will be closed by the time we arrive. This may include the extra expense now of a hotel night at our destination. I could not be more disgusted.

Pros: Boarding the plane went quickly, so was getting off. Also temperature inside was ideal for how hot and humid it was outside- I know some passengers complained about it being cold but I actually preferred it considering how cramped it was.

Cons: The crew at the check in on our way out of nashville had the worst attitude I have ever experienced from an airline. They got us quickly up to the counter (good) but when I had to ask questions because I didn’t have time to read the signage they got an attitude with me. “Didn’t you see the sign?” And turning to another employee, “isn’t there a sign with all the information posted?” Same employee came down to the terminal and announced the wrong destination for our flight while we were boarding. On the way out of Miami and back to Nashville the crew had great attitudes but it was so disorganized we had the longest line to wait in to check in for both concourses. People were going to miss flights. They fixed that eventually but I’m not sure they did it fast enough for some. Getting through security was far faster than check in. Also, they nickel and dime you for luggage, snacks, etc. It’s a no frills flight. I’ll probably give them one more chance though.

Pros: The seats are closer together - by my measurement 10 in between the back of the sone in front of me and my armrest. Luggage is checked luggage is $25; on my flight to Minneapolis, my luggage was lost for 30 hrs and wet on the inside when my daughter picked it up the next afternoon. It was not raining when our flight took off from NYC. The seats seem thinner on the cushion and if someone puts their seat in front of you, even slightly, it is very cramped. The flight was about 1/2 hour late taking off with what I counted as at least 10 planes ahead of us - most domestic - SW, other SunCountry and Delta. I have flown Sun Country periodically for the last 10 years. Now, I am done for all the reasons listed above. I have flown on other airlines this year and other than Alaska this was the least comfortable - actually it occured to me in an emergency it would have been very difficult to get out of my row. I understand this is a business - just not interested in buying from it.

Cons: On July 7th, I was flying from JFK to MSP and then from MSP to PDX. Somewhere on the way, Sun Country Airlines lost my bag and they don't seem to have any idea where it might be. I was forced to spend my entire vacation without my bag. It's been 16 days, we called the baggage services office several times, wrote e-mails, even talked to someone in person in the MSP office and yet nobody's able to help. All we got were promises for a call back about the status of the claim, but nobody ever calls or responds to e-mails. I'm extremely disappointed and will call DOT and FAA if I don't get a response very soon.

Pros: I got from point A to B on a non-stop flight. Desk staff and flight attendants were polite and accommodating.
Cons: "Lowest fairs!!" and then on check in they nickel and dime you with extra costs for even a carry on AND to choose a seat that you already bought!! I mean, you don't have to. You could always just wait until check in at the airport and get thrown into a middle seat. Saving extra money was what pushed me over the edge here, but after all the fees after booking was paid for and experience, I would have gladly paid the extra money to fly Alaska Airlines. Also, you would think on a 5.5 hr flight that occurs over/near dinner time there would be more food options than just snack packs. Even that was mediocre.

Cons: Flight was late leaving to MSP and on the return flight to San Francisco, we had to sit and wait 40+ mins just to get into the hanger. It was late and very disappointing!!! They don't serve any snacks and didn't come around with refreshments except once. They charge for carry on's, $40.00!! Huge rip off! They charge to rent DVD player. I will NOT fly with them again. Delta has all the above mentioned for free, they will be who I fly with from now on, they are MUCH more professional and customer service oriented and on time!.

Cons: I paid for my ticket, but when I went to check in the day before my flight there were fees I had to pay that I was not aware of and had no choice but to do so. They do not offer and free carryon bag. If you pay online you have to pay an extra $30 for a carryon item or $20 for a checked bag. These fees apply to your destination and your flight home as well. On top of that, you have to pay for your seat. All in all I was not happy with my experience with sun country. I am normally not someone who writes poor reviews, but this was definitely the worst airline I’ve ever used.

Cons: Sun Country should warn the average family and business traveler if they intend to cater to drunk 20/30 yr old adults on the first leg of their Florida vacation. Instead, 2 of the flight attendants joined in the loud chants and cheers. The flight attendants attitude was disappointing, and unprofessional. Their motto should be "Party Plane". About 12 loud and obnoxious party goers made it a miserable flight. One flight attendant asked them to quiet down. Two flight attendants joined in with the partying and yelled and chanted along with them. One flight attendant ignored the situation.

Cons: I typically fly Delta but thought I would give Sun Country a try and I am so sorry I did. The Delta flight I almost booked was about the same price and offered free carry on luggage, snacks, and the customer service on Delta is always superb. On Sun Country, they didn’t communicate all the hidden fees like $60 for carry on luggage if you book in advance and $90 at the gate. They also didn’t communicate their airline policies (i.e. they won’t print your boarding pass unless it’s more than 45 minutes before your boarding time, even at a small airport where takes $10 minutes to get through security). The flight attendants also were clearly unhappy working for the airline and that showed in their level of customer service.

Pros: Plane was comfortable and modern. Crew was terrific.
Cons: I could not use my phone app to check in! The airline attempts to charge you to $20 per person for online check in if you want to pay for baggage on line. You can, but then additional fee for seat selection is charged. STUPID! Instead, they must keep more counter agents for people like me who refuse to pay more for a seat I booked. Why can't you be like United. Let me check in and select my already paid for seat online and pay for my bag ahead of time! Then all I have to do is get my baggage checked at a kiosk and drop it off with a baggage agentband go through TSA and to my gate. Keep it simple stupid Suncountry.

Pros: Friendly flight crew, safe and reliable ride, fairly comfortable seat, departure out of MSP terminal 2 is great, and boarding was quick and easy. Also direct flight to my destination.
Cons: During a maintenance delay the pilot never informed the cabin regarding what the issue was, no complimentary snacks, leg room was limited, no entertainment options.

Cons: We had to deplane and switch to another aircraft after boarding was complete the first time. We arrived almost two hours late, in the middle of the night, I was really hungry by then. Some complimentary snacks or something would have gone a long way to making it up to us. I had screaming children behind me and I know that's not entirely the airline's fault, butthe delay contributed significantly to the children's misery and thus ours, and the in-flight announcements were way too loud; they woke them up abruptly and started tantrums in several places throughout the cabin.

Pros: The flight crew was pleasant. The refreshments were great along with the carry on bags and seat selection when buying tickets.
Cons: The plane was to hot. There were lots of passengers complaing about the heat. We also had to wait on the runway to take off for 40 minutes. The course of the flight was also uncomfortable due to certain passengers that wouldn't cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing. I even offered the individual cough drops and they had denied them and continued hacking. Then when landing in Orlando we had to wait to be taken to our gate. We were told that we were supposed to go to gate 97 but there was an American Aircraft in that location so we had to wait for another gate for 20 minutes. I know those last 2 events aren't really under the control of Sun Country, but still it was a pain.

Pros: Everyone, from the personnel at check-in, the gate to the entire flight team were efficient, professional, cheerfully helpful, and all-around in good spirits. Given that Thanksgiving eve is such a busy travel day, I was pleased with the positive experience.

Cons: We ran into a combination of traffic, parking, and other issues that drove us to arrive at our check-in at 7pm for a 7:40pm flight. We were not able to check-in given the 45 min rule. NO WHERE in our email did it say there was this rule nor were we prompted or told to check-in prior to our flight online. There's no suncountry app for check-in that we could find (only a visa one). We booked through priceline.The flight hadn't even started boarding and we were not allowed to check-in. We were re-booked on a flight that left two hours later, but that flight was delayed 3 hours. The whole thing essentially took one full night of paid hotel and fun in Vegas away costing us over $200 just in hotel plus we spent an extra 5 hours in an airport that didn't have a bar open past 9pm.

Pros: I generally like sun country so I hope the feedback gets heard because you are usually my favorite airline. Notification early about flight delays we good.
Cons: Flight 103 was supposed to be at 1:30. Delayed at 10 or 11 am to 3:08. A little in the day to have a major delay putting us into Vegas right at rush hour with higher taxi pricing and headache. Once we were at the airport the delays continued. We didn't finish boarding the plane until after 330. And then had to sit on the tarmac while they tried to squeeze us in. Then landing you could tell we were circling airport while they tried to find a spot for us to land, either that or it was a bad route because it involved a lot of sharp turns. We landed almost two hours late, which for a 48 hour Vegas trip is harsh. All we got in return was an apology. Usually other airlines will at least give you the full can of pop or something minor to off set the bigger inconvience.

Pros: The way they treat the passengers with care.

Cons: Flight was 2:00 hours late, which felt even longer because my in-bound flight on Thursday was 1:30 hours late. They didn't really explain why it was late. They just said "traffic in the NYC area," which could mean anything. I didn't get a ticket until the gate, which I hate. And because the flight was delayed, I never got a ticket until we boarded. The only good thing was they gave me an exit row, which was comfortable and allowed me to get on the plane first. But that was just luck. Probably not flying Sun Country again.

Pros: The gal next to us was an employee of sun country and she was extremely nice! Also the front desk people were accommodating

Cons: Our plane was at the gate well ahead of boarding. We boarded the plane on time and were actually ahead of schedule. We started taxing out to the runway and had to return to the gate because of a warning light. We had to stay on the plane for an extra hour while the light was fixed. These sorts of things should be fixed while at the gate, even before we board. The comfortability of sitting on a plane during boarding is not good.

Pros: The headrest were nice, no neck pillow was needed because of how I could adjust it. Checking in was very quick and painless, something I appreciate very much. Drink service was nice, they did come around more then expected. The staff was very nice an accommodating , very friendly when we boarded the plane.
Cons: Seats were very uncomfortable. I brought my husband for his first flight and I had told him how comfortable flying was, but when we boarded the plane he was a little horrified about the seats. He said, "they look like metal skeletons with pleather stretched over them." Yikes, I was a little embarrassed for telling him how comfortable he would be. I usually fly coach and I guess I was surprised not to find better seats and screens for movies attached to the back of the headrest (that sounds terribly spoiled, sorry).

Cons: No comp food. No free entertainment. Over an hour late. But we boarded early then sat and waited due to crew member not being aware of schedule.

Cons: Made reservationn on February for flight in June. No seat assignment until I approached boarding area and attendant took my boarding pass and said i would be assigned seat. I was asigned seat and was able to board in advance of geneal boarding but I don't understand why seats are not able to be chosen when reservations are made that far in advance. Price of adult beverage higher than other airline I frequently use.

Pros: The boarding method went the quickest of all flights I've been on for both flights. Check-in in MSP was quick and some of the attendants were friendly based on what I overheard. Staff in SAN was friendly.
Cons: A new mom was in the aisle walking to keep her baby quiet and to stretch her legs (after the drink, snack, and trash carts had gone by) and had her back to a flight attendant also coming down the aisle. She was talking to another parent on the flight when the attendant came behind her and told the woman, "Excuse me. Some of us are still working." Her tone was suuuuper rude and uncalled for. A friendly "excuse me, please" would have been just fine and would have gotten the job done. I went to the bathroom a couple minutes later and the attendant was on her break and eating, so maybe she was hangry, but still! Seats were uncomfortable on both flights, but not as bad as Spirit Airlines. I had bad low back pain afterwards, even after getting up to walk partway through the flight. This is something I've experienced on a couple other airlines too, but the legroom on planes has gotten worse. For those of us with long legs, it's a huge pain. I'm 5'9", so I can't imagine how it is for someone taller. The legroom on Sun Country was just as bad as other flights. Probably a strange complaint, but the seat back pocket had a bar running in the hem, so when I put my water bottle inside, the entire pocket stuck out as far as my water bottle. This meant I had to choose between having the pocket rub against my knees or hold my water bottle between my thighs. Neither were ideal. The check-in in San Diego was painfully slow. There were three people standing there, but only one person seemed to be checking people in. The staff was friendly here. A Sun Country employee at MSP told a man he had to check his carry-on suitcase because the wheels stuck out of Sun Country's tiny metal carry-on test box a CENTIMETER. I kid you not. Absolutely ridiculous. I saw much larger luggage come onto the flight. The woman who checked me in was quick but I wasn't able to ask any questions before being sent away. No free snacks or entertainment which seem to be included on most other similarly priced airlines. The food for purchase (burgers and Jimmy Johns or something) made the plane smell bad. I asked for coffee with cream and sugar as my complimentary drink and was given the powdered creamer packets. Fine, okay, I understand if that's all they have, but then I saw them walking through the aisle later offering coffee and they had creamer cups in their aprons! No one asked me which kind I wanted. :(

Cons: Arrived at check in at 6:00 for a 6:40 flight, was told it was too late to check in and board so I did not get on the flight! There was no other Sun Country flight until the next day and there was no attempt made to accommodate the fact that I had to get back to D.C that night.... and I was not offered any partial credit for the ticket! I realize I should've arrived much earlier but I did try to check in online prior to arriving at the airport however their online check in process only gave me the option of paying an additional $15 fee to choose my seat, which I did not think I should have had to since I'd already paid for the flight and didn't care where I sat. I ended up buying a one way FULL PRICE ticket on another airline and it took less than 5 minutes to go through security and arrive at the gate by 6:25

Pros: It was a direct flight.
Cons: We were late departing and arriving, which created a problem for a meeting I had to attend. On top of already being late the exiting of the aircraft was poor. No announcement was made for wheel chair people to wait until the end, and naturally held up the exiting of the aircraft. This was my first experience on Sun Country and the flight attendants allowed people to use the bathroom in the front of the aircraft, but at hour 3.00 when i walked up to use it - i was then told to go to the back. After I watched many people for HOURS freely use it. Not just when the cart was in the aisle either. Just not consistent in their directions and follow through making it confusing for passengers. There was no wifi, so I couldn't work and there was no entertainment on board. I won't be flying Sun country again.

Pros: This was my first time flying SunCountry, and I felt like it was significantly better than most domestic airlines that I have been on. For example, I would choose to fly SunCountry before Delta or United ANY day. So thank you for a pleasant flight.
Cons: My ticket was flagged for security reasons, and was not discovered until I was boarding the flight. As a government employee, I completely understand randomly checking passengers for TSA. However, the gate agent refused to tell me what was going on or even say that I needed to go through security again. I didn't mind that I had to do this...everybody has a job to do. But I did not appreciate the rudeness of the gate agent. I also did not appreciate that TSA did not catch the information on my ticket when I went through security almost 3 hours prior to the ordeal. While I understand that this sounds like a TSA issue, my issue is more centralized with the gate agent. She was nice enough to talk to the pilot and hold the flight for me, since clearly I wasn't a security concern and I was cooperative...however, her attitude and refusal to explain to me why I had been stopped at the gate was unacceptable. When I passed through screening (because obviously I was not a threat), she didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I still have no received a full explanation for what exactly happened...my best assumption is that it was a random flag on the ticket for passengers. Her lack of apology and lack of reasoning for the situation left me confused, and delayed the already delayed flight by another 40 minutes. While I reviewed the Boarding as "OK" given that I was still have to get on my flight, I am nervous about flying SunCountry again due to the way the situation was handled by the gate agent.

Pros: The crew was great--very pleasant and attentive. Flight was smooth with an easy landing.
Cons: At the Sun Country desk in Minneapolis they told me they couldn't check my bag all the way through to San Francisco because they didn't have an arrangement with Virgin America. I learned in Las Vegas after claiming injury checking my bag that they do have an arrangement, and that agent just didn't know about it. Kayak should never have allowed me to book a ticket where I had to re-check my bag and go through security again without a big warning, so I'm unhappy about that. Additionally, it seems like Sun Country needs to get his ducks in order regarding baggage agreements. The change in Las Vegas was stressful and involved switching terminals as well – not ideal.

Pros: Efficient on boarding.
Cons: Few Flights statements are too push. People are shutting down their device and told shut off now when they're in a middle of doing it. One person told her I am doing it now. Stop making Sdumtion. Really look and listen.

Pros: Nice flight attendants.
Cons: The flight was about an hour late taking off and boarding was interrupted part way through the process so there were some people sitting in the plane for all this time and some people sitting inside the airport boarding area for all this time. No explanation whatsoever was given about what was going on. The aisles on the plane were so narrow that I could just barely roll my carry-on bag down it. The head of the guy sitting in front of me was almost in my lap. I couldn't even lower my tray table all the way down to a flat position to set my beverage upon because his seat was so close to mine. When the flight was almost to its destination, we had to circle the airport for awhile because Obama was landing at this time too. We were never told of this possibility until it actually happened. Why not ? We arrived about an hour and a half later than our scheduled time. With all these inconveniences to us, absolutely nothing complimentary was given to us passengers to make up for their incompetence and how our travel plans may have been disrupted. This was a bad experience and my last with Sun Country.

Cons: Couldn't check-in online due to unknown "server error". The guy at the airport said they had a system failure the previous night - no info on the site though, so we've lost 45 minutes retrying check in online. The plane itself was definetely not renovated for quite some time (the interior). Not too comfy seats, but had worse. Boarding was a bit unusual - they're splitting the passengeres to maaaaaany groups - military, no carry-on luggage, disabled, with kids, with carry on to put under the plane, first class and finally the regulars... Not sure if that actually speeds up the process, seems officious.. Plane was 30min late at destination.

Pros: I thought the flight attendants (a gentleman in first class, also a woman for the first part) were perfectly lovely. I always feel a little silly asking for things, but I never felt like I was a burden. The gentleman was very pleasant and thoughtful (he was reluctant to wake my husband to put his seatback up before landing), and the food was surprisingly good.
Cons: Right above my seat in 1A, the luggage bin above me was coming apart at the seam, and something gunky seemed to be coming out of it. There was some dampness on the wall in front of me. Also, the part my husband and I both lamented was the fact that being in the first row, we couldn't have bags at our feet for landing. Which we COMPLETELY understand and are happy to comply with. However, the luggage bin directly above us should have been empty and available for us to use. That was not the case, since the flight attendants used those two bins above the FIRST two rows, on BOTH sides of the aisle for their luggage. We had to put our bags above the third row, so that upon departure, we had to excuse ourselves through people standing in the aisle and hand our luggage back up to the front. It's annoying to us and annoying to people in the 2nd and 3rd rows to have us jostling past. The flight attendants should have a special closet just for them, not taking up valuable real estate for guests' luggage. OR, the flight attendants should use the back of the First Class luggage compartments, since they will be deplaning after us anyway. Just a thought. Please consider. Thank you! Pros: I liked the time and direct flight from MSP to Boston.
Cons: From the time we were waiting for the plane, the attendants at the airport gate came across rude / and threatening when asking for people to check their carry-ons. While we had no carry-ons it was very striking as I have never heard this kind of communication in decades of traveling with different airlines. While on the plane, we sat in the absolute back seat, and also caught "attitude" of attendants when they communicated to one another about the carry-ons they were holding for the agent. Eye-rolling and tone. These frustrations should not be aired to customers.

Pros: Last minute trip to MN and back to Bay Area. Went for a funeral. Flew Sun country for the first time both ways. Best experience I've/we've had flying in a while. Thank you. We'll be back - especially if y'all go to the east coast.

Pros: I would like to comment on a flight attendant named Jordan. Once beverage service began, she was an ideal flight attendant: bright, effervescent, personable, attentive, even solicitous. But...
Cons: ...in the hour preceding beverage service, she sat in the rear galley and talked NON-STOP. She seems to have a very strident, penetrating voice. In fact, other passenger (not me) even asked for quiet so that he could sleep. In her defense, she cut the volume in half, but that wasn't enough to keep the back rows from overhearing her running commentary (maybe it's the fault of the acoustics in the back of the plane) on a thousand inane topics—when does the woman breathe?. I'm certain that she was hired for her sunny, outgoing personality, but she needs to realize that passengers who board a plane for a 7 a.m. departure are looking to make up for sleep lost to getting to the airport in time for TSA. Until 8 a.m. sullen and silent would be preferable to nice but noisy.

Pros: Booked this flight months before I took it on KAYAK. Got to the airport and saw the sign that said "ask about our affordable upgrades". I asked and it was totally affordable. I bumped myself up to 1st class on both flights for $280 total and it was absolutely amazing. The flight staff was so attentive, the food was great and they were not shy about making sure I was getting enough to drink. Overall, this was a great airline that seemed to actually care about the people on the plane as opposed to other 1st class experiences I have had where people try to get the most out of you for the least amount of effort. Sky Country took the time to make me feel like I was worth it and that made all the difference. Would 100% recommend.

Pros: Staff were friendly, at the curbside check-in, ticket desk, gate and on the flight. The airport had free (but slow) wifi for 45 minute sessions. There were tables by the gate (MSP H1) where you could sit down and charge and work on your laptop. The plane was full so they offered passengers to get their bags checked for free (and gave them priority after first class & families with infants) The person at the gate was able to change my middle seat to an isle seat. At least during the delays we were not in the plane sitting on the tarmac but in a reasonably spacious terminal.
Cons: They advised that I needed to be at the airport 2 hours before the flight, when I am used to 30 minutes with no check-in luggage. The best online check-in didn't work. I was inexplicably 'restricted' so I needed to speak to a supervisor in order to check-in (maybe because of the problem with online check in? They couldn't tell me why). The outbound flight was delayed two hours. There was no free food or snacks on the flight, only a cup of soft drink with ice (a third of a regular sized can), so I just chewed my ice for the remainder of the flight. There was no entertainment nor wifi on the flight. They also seem to have some unusual rules - no laptops in the seat back pocket, no alcohol unless it is purchased on board, no use of cellular devices after the door is closed (flight safe mode ok)


Pros: The crew was clearly concerned with the covid rules, but just as concerned for passenger's needs. Outstanding performance in difficult circumstances.
Cons: Drinks!

Cons: Missed connecting flight to El Paso and had to wait for hours in the airport on standby

Pros: I was lucky enough not to be put into a middle seat or next to a stranger during this pandemic.
Cons: No social distancing and no enforcement of wearing a mask properly. Wearing one on your chin or half of your mouth with your nose hanging out needs to be corrected. Empty seats should be utilized for social distancing regardless of fare. First class and the back half of the planes were practically empty while everyone was in the center. We should have been allowed to spread out.

Pros: Good seats, comfortable w headrest adjustable

Cons: We had a difficult time getting in the air in the air. We left 1.5 hours late! Not AA fault!

Cons: The first class seats on these newer 737-800s are VERY disappointing. Width is ok, but legroom is on par with economy expectations. With my tray out and the person in front of me reclined, I could barely see my laptop. There is also very little space under the seats, especially for the aisle seat.

She argued about throwing away a drink that she poured, didn’t care to explain things to passengers when asked i. e. why charging outlets were not in service, and her tone was rude ...

Cons: I've flown American airlines twice this year. The service and flights have been very good. One thing I'd like to see is a variety of snack options.

Pros: Landing and take off.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great!

Pros: leg room was decent I always love the in flight interactive map with routes and nearest cities.
Cons: Headphone jack for media watching did not function properly.

Pros: Multiple delays. Ended up taking off after my initial anticipated arrival time. No snacks or food available on the flight either just made for a very poor experience.

Pros: This flight crew were upbeat and all smile. They definitely know what customer service should be.
Cons: Only pretzels for food when you’ve been on a plane all day didn’t make me happy.

Pros: The gate crew and flight crew took extra care of my wife, who has MS and related difficulty walking. They showed great care - very friendly and professional. Pleasant experience all the way through.
Cons: Seats were a little close together, so my knees were always touching the seat in front of me. Not terrible, but not ideal. I'm 6'1" and my legs are a bit long.

Cons: The security check line was about a mile long at the Terminal 1, but that's not the airline's fault.

Cons: Once we landed, we waited on the tarmac for good 20 minutes because something (I didn't understand what) was blocking the gate.

Pros: Everyone was super friendly. The plane was clean and comfortable and the food was great for airplane food.

Pros: Generally, the stewardess are new (slow service), but very kind and considerate.
Cons: I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving.

Pros: They seem to have more time for the passengers then other airlines do

Pros: The flight was on time, cabin crew looked nice and professional, AA stuff at the airport of departure was very helpful with complicated check-in procedure.
Cons: It was a short flight (less than an hour) and only complimentary drinks were offered, no little snacks (like pretzels, peanuts or cookies).

Pros: Let's see - I was in first class. The flight itself was fine - and only one hour + late!
Cons: Food - Served the "breakfast" (when it was called a protein plate) I had coming (into MSP). for "lunch" on the way back (called it a meat plate for lunch. One slice turkey, one slice jamon, one egg, cinnamon roll and fruit. Just because they don't want to serve bread - they call it a protein plate? I'm not on a protein diet. Food was pretty sick for the amount I paid for the fight. Stewardess said it was against Republic's rules to give a customer a can of tonic water (so I could add to the small amount of vodka) - she also told me that it was against Delta's, American's and United's rules to give a can - strange? First Class seat did not recline. First Class was freezing per every flight on this segment (the stewardesses sit in the back and don't want to be uncomfortable - if they make the front warm - the back is too hot for them (not joking on this one). So many things to list - that I will finish on the AA site.

Cons: Cabin was like an icebox. People were wrapping up in sweaters and jackets. Many raised hands observed attempting to close the overhead vents. Multiple complaints to flight crew yielded a minor improvement but it was still on comfortably cool.

Pros: The crew was very good. The made sure we were informed and helped get people rebooked.
Cons: We were delayed by about 2 and 1/2 hours. Which I get no one can control a maintenance issue, just made for a hectic day

Cons: Was at gate onntime for flight. At boarding time passengers were informed if there was an issue with the plane and maintenance is on their way to check out the problem. 30 minutes later we were still till that maintenance is on their way. One hour later there is still no information as far as when the fight will leave but they kept updating the boarding time. There was only one person of the counter who could help re-assign passengers to different flights due to their layovers. After waiting in line for 40 minutes and the line making no movement I called the airline 1-800 hundred number and explain my situation to the American Airlines Airlines representative. they really give me a new flight that left 20 minutes later after my call if I did not call I would not mean it that flight nor any other fights that morning because they're all in the afternoon.

Cons: Bathrooms didn't work delaying initial departure an hour. Ran to connecting flight and made it prior to door being closed. 12 passengers in total were told that we would be boarded and then were abrubly told none would be boarding our final leg to the Caymans even though our seats were available. Horrible company culture not focused on customers.

Cons: Took off late from Minneapolis only to announce that there was something wrong with the plane, no explanation as to what but that we had to circle to burn off fuel before returning to Minneapolis. Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc.

Cons: was seated between 2 to very overweight persons, the person in the aile side, extrememly heavy needed extension belt, plus removing the arm rest next to me and using great part of my seat. not a very comfortable situation and the plane was FULL, no empty seats

Cons: eh. not enough space, like most airlines these days. Flight wasn't long enough to hate it though.

Cons: They overbooked every flight of the day (total of 4) and offered us no solution except what as standby and try to get on next days flight. Very bad form and they were not helpful in finding a solution. we finally rented a car and drove home over 8 hours- still trying to get the rental car cost reimbursed....and oh yeah they completed tore apart my METAL GUN CASE!!!!

Cons: I left an expensive Bose head set in my seat that could not be found....or did smobody decide it was better in their possession.?

Pros: All hope was lost until Greg came to our rescue. We made our connecting flight on time and didn’t have to reschedule the entire trip until the next day- losing out on lodging and plans abroad.
Cons: The way this flight was cancelled due to weather and couldn’t be rescheduled by anyone at the airport, on the phone — knowing it was due to the size of the plane and the weather conditions. I wasn’t even offered a voucher or accommodation for what I was being told would be a 24-hour delay. That was until we met Greg, he literally saved our trip and our experience with American Airlines.

Pros: The crew was friendly and competent.
Cons: Airlines have an industry wide problem. They INTENTIONALLY make every part of flying miserable so that passengers will pay anything to make it less painful. For example... if you want to make boarding quicker, build the cost of checked luggage into ticket prices so that you don't have people carrying everything on and clogging up the process. Or use the existing and publicly available research to improve boarding mechanisms... but that would mean you lose an opportunity to squeeze extra cash out of people for 'priority boarding'. This phenomenon is real, and currently be investigated by congress. Call your senator.

Pros: Boarding was easy and flights were on time.
Cons: Crew could have been a little more friendly and the planes were a bit dated...although I know AA is in the process of replacing their fleet.

Cons: Flight was cancelled we were re-routed and didn't get there until 24hours later.

Pros: The flight staff did the best they could for how few of them there were.
Cons: Flight cancelled, and the gate was understaffed, so it took forever to even get up to the counter to try arranging alternate flights. Also, the Kayak/Webjet tickets we were issued interfered with the process as the airline could not reissue us tickets directly. Moreover, one Kayak & Webjet got actively involved, they even tried to deny us passage on the alternate flights that American Airlines suggested. By the time we did make it up to the desk, everything was taken/full for the next few days & we have been struggling to make our overseas travel even possible ever since.

Pros: It was nice that I had a seat empty next to me, allowing for extra room. Flight was a little early in landing in Dallas, allowing for extra time for a short layover to find my terminal and gate for my next flight.
Cons: All was good.

Cons: Wi-Fi onboard free for all T Mobile customers, cramped seat room for a smaller adult even

Pros: The food, in flight entertainment and attention to detail by the Flight Attendants was very good.
Cons: The personnel handling the front desk at check in gave myself and others bad information about how to check a bag. Which resulted in me being called to the desk at the gate about 30 minutes prior to boarding and being told I screwed up checking my bag when I was just following the instructions given to me. Was then told I had to leave the secure area of the airport, go back to the front to check my bag all within 30 minutes of boarding. when I returned thru the TSA checkpoint they were rude, obviously, but more importantly the flight was boarding early. So you could've 1. told me what the actual procedure is for checking my bag instead of telling me "just leave it by the green lit up check mark then 2. told me at the gate that not only do i need to go fix your mistakes for you but that youd also board my flight early thereby putting me in jeopardy of missing my flight. all i got was a very insincere apology when I complained up front and at the gate about the airline's screw up. i get that you're all human like me and make mistakes but the customer is always right. there was a time in this country when customer appreciation and service were important standards and qualities businesses thrived on. Don't know what happened to those days... Also i should not need to be a first class passenger to get a meal during a flight. whatever happened to meals for everyone? you (all airlines in the US) charge way too much money and provide poor service compared to pre-9-11 days. I dont see how one event can justify the loss in service but the increase in ticket price. you should all get back to what flying should be about: fun and time saving.

Cons: Think it is ridiculous that I had to pay so much to select a seat ahead of time, and it was just a regular seat. I can understand for extra legroom or exit row, but for a regular seat, that is ridiculous. Then there was a fee to change priority boarding, so I could ensure I was able to have my carry-on with me, instead of risk having it go underneath. Unable to use the entertainment, as I was unaware had to use my own device, which I had not set up in advance.

Pros: The staff tried to help as much as possible.
Cons: I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed.

Pros: The crew very helpful and nice.
Cons: On the flight home my seat wouldn't let back, so I had to sleep in an upright position. Lol

Cons: They didn't give my parents who are in their 80s seats together, that's not right.

Pros: The flights left on time and arrived early. It reminded me of the old days when everything ran like clock-work.
Cons: The leg room was barely enough for me and I'm 5'4". I can't imagine people much larger than me being comfortable at all. Also, the chair made my back hurt, so I did a lot of sitting up straight as opposed to being "in the chair". I noticed that you had snacks for purchase on the flight, but the free snacks were cookies and pretzels. It would be nice to offer a trail mix or dried fruit. Pretzels are good for people who might be a little sick at their stomach, but better snacks are a nice option. I ordered coffee and it was perfect. Overall, the flight was a good flight, just a little tweaking and it would be great. Thanks for asking.

Seat assignments done at the gate; instructed to see gate attendant, who says, "Take a seat, we'll call you". Finally, in SF, gate person says,"You bought a restricted ticket, we have to watch you"! I didn't buy lousy customer service!

Pros: The price of a ticket is slightly lower. It is not enough of a difference to make the plethora of inconveniences worth it. You are not a valued customer with this fare. If United values customers, they shouldn't offer this fare. That's why I don't fly the bargain airlines.
Cons: You can't check in at the kiosk on basic economy without an employee badge swipe, and there were no employees available. I had to stop checking in, wait in line, and then the employee that I talked to didn't have the right kind of badge to swipe. So I waited again. Extremely inconvenient. Even after being forced to talk to a ticket agent at check in, they still won't issue a seat. So you have to go to the gate and wait in line again to get a seat. The system is built for maximum inefficiency. It doesn't cost less for them to make me talk to two separate people, it is only to inconvenience the flyer for buying a cheaper ticket. It seems like a punitive system. Boarding was organized and painless. The crew seemed polite. Regarding comfort, the "leg room" on the airbus is ridiculous. I am average height and felt claustrophobic. I can't imagine how a tall person feels. There was no " entertainment" on my flight, so one star for that. I didn't not receive any food and was not offered water, 1 star.

Pros: Very friendly staff. Very smooth bag check. It was crowded but the line moved quickly. Boarding was very organized and easy to maneuver. The flight was very enjoyable and we actually landed 20 minutes early. United has once again provided an excellent flying experience!
Cons: There was no part of the entire united experience I did not like.

Cons: Arrived early (yay), but had to sit on the runway for 45 minutes waiting for a gate and ended up getting to the gate later than the original expected time. Pretty ridiculous.

Cons: It was not made clear at all that I was buying a basic economy ticket and was not going to be allowed to take a carry on. That was really frustrating.

Cons: When I made the reservation, somehow I was assigned lowest status, and boarded the plane last, meaning no overhead storage.

Pros: $155 roundtrip cost with limitations described before purchasing tickets. It would be much better to at least be able to take a backpack as a carry-on, but all costs were included in the price except luggage and that was reasonable at $25/bag.

Airline change because of depart time in msp from united to American meaning we had to go from term1 to term 3 at ord in 20 min 21/2 hrs getting home. All delays due to mechanical problems. United needs to get their act together Our last trip with them,if at all possible.

Pros: Smooth takeoff and landing. Luckily no turblance. Crew members were helpful and courteous, and added a little humor to their jobs. Good job!

Cons: Unable to pre-check online. Unable to check at the check in machines--had to go up and check in at the counter, long wait because there was only one clerk. We were then given a ticket just to get through security and had to check in a second time when we get to the gate for seat assignment, which is ridiculous. Why couldn't that be done at the 1st check-in? The clerk told me she will call me when she has the seat assignment/ boarding ticket but she never did and I had to go back up to ask for them when it was getting close to boarding time. At the last moment minutes, volunteers could check in their carry on for free....It would have been nice (and less hassle) to have that option at the 1st check-in.

Pros: Flight finally left for ORD. Staff kept folks apprised and boarded us quickly.
Cons: Continual delays. UAL staff did not address issue of whether folks would miss connections in ORD. Yet we were seated next to the AA counter where their staff was actively working on this issue (missed connections in ORD). Seemed like AA cared a bit more.

Pros: I appreciate that United hasn't gotten greedy with baggage charges and has kept their seating comfortable. Last Frontier flight was RIDICULOUS!!

Cons: Seats are too close together and reclining makes it very uncomfortable for the person behind the recline.

Cons: We got in SO early, there was no gate ready for us at Newark, so we had to stay on board at least 30 min. Also they didnt allow even 1 person waiting in queue for bathroom, so if you sat down you'd lose your place.

Cons: The second leg of the trip was two hours late which always happens at Chicago Ohare

Cons: Every flight I had was delayed at least an hour, and one of my flights was delayed 2.5 hours, which caused me to miss an important meeting. When I asked why it was taking so long, the United customer service representative was very short and somewhat rude. Not a great experience this time that's for sure.

Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Airplane was damaged and united wouldn't rebook us until the flight was officially cancelled hours later. Then United provided only one service person to address all of the passengers needs so we had to stand in line for a couple hours longer. Then they had no hotel rooms to put anybody up for the night that couldn't get a flight until the next day. Then they gave us a measly $10 food voucher. Then our luggage was mishandled has still has not shown up to my house. Then because of the change in flights I had to rearrange transportation home at 1130 pm that cost me an extra $125. A very miserable day because of United's lack of being proactive and poor decision making given the situation and circumstances.

Cons: The flight was delayed multiple times causing me to have to literally run across airport to catch international connecting flight. Gate crew did very little to assist me in securing an alternate flight. On board crew did little to assist me in finding out information and getting me off the plane quickly to get to my connecting flight. Overall they showed little empathy and customer service.

Cons: Return flight wouldn't allow overhead cartons but made it up by bringing carry on to us

Pros: When I got on the plane
Cons: Late by more then an hour and I missed my connection home. I had to stay the night in Denver and miss a day of work. This cost me an extra day and about $1000 worth of missed revenue.

Pros: The staff was wonderful.
Cons: The return flight was delayed several hours however there were several emails updating the status of the flight.

Cons: One strange thing happened on my United airlines flight. The crew announced before we boarded that there wasn't enough overhead space for rolling bags and encouraged us to check them in. Upon boarding they announced that all overhead space in the back was full. I sat in the back and noticed that the crew closed the overhead compartments even though they were mostly empty. Another passenger opened an empty one and the crew came over and closed it right away, though many people were still boarding. What's going on?
