Pros: "Having just exited the AeroMexico flight that came across as unprofessional, it was refreshing to get on a Delta flight. It was not really exceptional, but it met my expectations. The Delta agent on the telephone on the day before our flight WAS exceptional, as she tried valiantly to get us checked in to a flight that had been changed (by Aeromexico) several times. Delta was also exceptional in helping us retrieve our luggage after AeroMexico lost it."

Didn't say a word Else to me until it was time to land and my daughter had just fell asleep. She told me. I had to take her out of the baby carrier. My daughter needed a diaper change and there were no places to change her. I tried to change her by the door really fast. The stuardis said no go change in a bathroom I asked which one had a changing station they said none and to just change in my lap. Plus my car seat was broke when I got it back."

Cons: "On my first flight from SLC to ORD I asked 3 different American Airlines employees if I needed to pay for my carryon before I got on the plane. They all said no. I got on the plane, put my carryon under the seat in front of me and everything was great. I landed in Chicago, got to my gate, went to board and this very rude employee stopped me after I scanned my ticket and told me I couldn’t board with my bag. The EXACT bag I had boarded with in SLC. After harshly grabbing my bag and putting it in the carryon basket to check for size, she wouldn’t let me pass by her into the boarding bridge and told me I was going to have to pay. I tried explaining that I had asked I’m SLC if I needed to check it and they had all said no and that it fit under my seat. She said, “I don’t care what they said in SL, this is what I’m saying here.” And directed me to the front desk where I had to pay $50!! $50 for a carryon backpack that fit under my seat comfortably 20 minutes before!! Without saying a word (cause I didn’t want to yell at the poor girl behind the desk) I paid the $50 and proceeded to enter the bridge but before I passed through, the rude woman said, “have a nice flight ma’am” and scoffed!! An audible scoff. So I’m short, I hate American Airlines and I will do my BEST to not have to fly with them in the future."

I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."

Because I could not create a Spirit FF account, I could not get credit for the miles purchased. 3. I could not find the specification of baggage dimensions, costs (online vs in person), and that the fees are higher if the same person checks multiple bags as a convenience rather than gives each bag to a person of their traveling party, until *after* I had to check-in and purchase the bags. Only then was I presented with a schedule of prices. 4. The dimensions and costs of bags are inconsistent with other no-frills airlines. I traveled with a split ticket, so my departing airline was different than my returning airline. It is stressful and challenging trying to get the carry-on and checked baggage dimensions and weights within limits of both airlines, particularly when Spirit did not post their requirements and fees until *after* I checked-in. 5. The seats are hard plastic, do not recline, and have a cushion that is so firm that I become uncomfortable for long flights. I was not uncomfortable this flight because it was short, but had the flight been longer, I would have been uncomfortable."

Pros: "It was on time. They didn't charge me to use the restroom."
Cons: "I purchased a ticket from Chicago to Myrtle beach for 158.00. When I checked in I had my luggage and my golf clubs. It cost me 50.00 for the first bag and 60.00 for the second bag. Then I went up to the counter and she said it will be an additional 30.00 because both pieces were overweight. I opened the bag that was 51.5 pounds and took out a shoe which lowered it to 49 pounds. She said you still owe me 30.00. I said its under 50 pounds and she replied "It has to be under 40 pounds". I got upset and said I will never every fly Spirit airlines again and she smiled. I said you could care less couldn't you. I am sure its not the first time she has heard that. They also charge you for soft drinks, water, or coffee. So all in all I ended up paying 140.00 each way for my luggage and 158.00 for my ticket, so the entire price to get me and my luggage there and back cost 438.00"
Pros: "Easy to book on line."
Cons: "All the extra money that the airlines wanted to charge. Paying for selecting a seat etc."
Cons: "Lost our bag and delayed two and a half hours"

Cons: "If the plane has been full it would t have been comfortable whatsoever . Seats were thin and narrow. I could t even hold my 3 month old with out her hanging in the aisle and I was bumping shoulders with the passengers next to me. Felt like a kids school bus."
Cons: "The front cabin crew, (one male. one female) were much more interested in themselves than the passengers. They spent virtually all of the ~4.5 hour flight talking to each other and ignoring the passengers. Their talking to each other was loud enough to be heard three rows into the passenger seating even though they were at the galley or flight attendants seating. They also, especially the woman, enjoyed several coffees or tea while asking the passengers if they wished to purchase anything only once almost immediately after the aircraft reached cruising altitude. One quick "trash trip" down the aisle and back to their conversation with each other."
Cons: "The woman at the gate was not very helpful about accommodating me bringing my needed medications on the plane that were in a cooler. Once the crew came, they were much more helpful and willing to assist in getting my needed medications on the plane and traveling with me. Also, it was my first time flying Spirit Airlines so I was not aware that although the initial price for the ticket was very competitive, they nickel and dime you on everything from carry-on baggage to a nonalcoholic beverage on the plane, so when comparing it to other airline prices it's really not as cheap to fly as you initially think it is when you purchase the ticket"
Cons: "My flight was canceled in the morning via email. I callled the airlines and was given different reasons for the cancellations. We were flown out of Myrtle the next day, but the airlines did not cover our hotel cost. All we were given were 2 50 dollar vouchers to be used again on Spirit."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by 2 hours because of of the crew members did not arrive."
Pros: "Sprite is a ripe off"

Cons: "The cost of the carry-on is more then the check-in for baggage. The Ticket Service Agent at Myrtle Beach Airport - John Griffith was very rude and had an attitude. We didn't know we were standing in the wrong line, he didn't want to accept our baggage. Was going to take the 2 others who had came after us, but the lady had said to take us first. Then he told me not to give him an attitude. When he gave us a really dirty look about it. He acted like he didn't want to be there and we were bothering him, he was very irritated. I have never in my years of flying, had anyone every do that to me. I give his service a "F", he failed to meet all of his requirements: professionalism, respect, misreprensenting Myrtle Beach, Spirit Airlines and his duties of his job. He needs to be retrained or find another job!!"
Cons: "Passengers were the issue, not flight, or crew"
Pros: "New comfortable seats, Great Crew"
Pros: "A direct flight."
Cons: "My return flight from Dallas to Myrtle was canceled after check in. There was poor communication as to what to do next, ultimately we were rebooked on American. If it happens to you don't be the guy yelling and screaming, we quietly asked what to do and we're rebooked amidst the chaos within 20 min or so, while the aggressors were still waiting several hours afterwards."

Cons: "Delayed on both legs of the trip. Seats way uncomfortable."
Pros: "I haven't flown on Spirit for awhile and even though I know it is stripped down to be more affordable it has become ridiculous. If we were told once over the intercom, we were told at least 20 times that if we dared to put our "personal" item in the overhead compartments we would be charged $100! So they said that you had better come up to the desk so it would be only $65! These threats worked and people who really did have personal size items paid $65 when it should have been free. Also, I suppose we were on a newer plane because I could not believe that the seats were actually hollow and there is no padding! It looks like a normal seat until you sit down and realize the seat in front of you is hollowed out. The tray tables are the size of a smart phone and were too small to support an iPad! I was glad it was only a two hour flight because it was extremely uncomfortable. It made me wonder (and pray) what other shortcuts Spirit has taken recently. The crew wasn't rude but they were so busy checking overhead departments to see who they could charge that I don't think they gave the passengers any thought. We did make it to our destination safely and that is really the most important thing. However, I will really shop around for a different alternative before I flight on Spirit again."
Cons: "We ended up having to cancel our flight due to Hurricane Matthew. The airline refused to give us a reimbursement for the ticket even though we bought insurance thru your company. I spent hours on the phone with both spirit and your company and still nothing was resolved. Now have an insurance claim hoping to get my money back as we would never use spirit for any other flight besides the one that we were planning to take as it's the only direct flight to Myrtle Beach. You also have to pay for seat assignment and baggage, and that's including a carry on. It's ridiculous."
Cons: "I could not even get to Myrtle Beach because of the hurricane the weekend before my return flight was scheduled. They would not even consider a refund when I tried to reach them on Monday, October 10th.First of all their Customer Service was in the Philippines and had no idea of conditions here. All he kept saying was that weather would have to interfere with my flight and the fact that I was not even in Myrtle Beach did not enter into the discussion. I will try to avoid flying Spirit in the future."
