Pros: "This was first Alaska airlines trip and I want to do more! I showed up at the Seattle airport and tried to use one of the many conveniently placed kiosks. I couldn't find my trip, BECAUSE I HAD BOOKED FOR THE WRONG DAY!. This could have been very stressful but an attendant near the (short) line asked me if needed help and immediately redirected me to the VIP line. There, I found another very short line, and smiling, enthusiastic staff. The young woman who helped me got my info, and walked away to get the problem solved with a supervisor. She returned a short time later, my boarding pass in hand, upgraded me to Premium seating and TSA pre check -- without me even asking! On the plane, I mostly slept, but when I woke up I found the attendant had left me my boxes snack which was a mix of nuts and dried fruit in a fancy package. The seats seemed more comfortable than they were in recent trips on United and Southwest. There were plugs everywhere for phone and device charging. There was free wifi(!!). And there were devices available for borrowing. There was even a website for free movie streaming. In a time when most other airlines have sour faced (need to retire!) attendants (Southwest an exception), and EVERYTHING is a la Carte pricing, it is so nice to fly with a company that tries to make passengers happy and comfortable. What a switch!! You"

Felt sorry for so many of the passengers whose travel plans were greatly changed by Alaska's mechanical problems."

I made a claim from Alaska and they replied that I had to make a claim with American (two segments, first with Alaska, second with American), even though the tickets were through them. Researched American and they required a response within 24 hours, which I was beyond after waiting for Alasks's response."

Every country had a little different process for boarding and getting around - most had friendly staff, on point, helping clueless, stressed, & frustrated travelers. I was really disappointed in Atlanta, not a very welcoming or helpful spirit for visitors to US - not all (80% were awesome), mainly those trying to greet and direct through customs. Most hate the arrogant America anyway, don’t make it worse - put your best people on the front lines to help with international relations & show why the US is the best. Put those that don’t want to be here loading bags out back! Sorry for the lecture, but this is any business!"

I looked online to see if there were any delays come to find out there was I asked the lady at tge counter she stated that there was bad weather coming this way. Then she made an announcement saying there was a delay due to an international flight that landed in Dallas. They needed to change the crew, clean up and do security check. This was an experience that I have never had to go through. This was inconvenient for not only myself but the people who were picking me up from the airport in Dallas. The seats are way too tight. No leg room nor room between the person next to you."

There was no urgency in finding my bag and it has been nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone. 4 days after my flight and we still have no bag. We had to buy all new clothes, toiletry items and luggage while on our trip. Thankfully we had enough funds to do so or else we would have had to wear the same clothes for 4 days! The flights were late both ways. The overall experience was absolutely horrible."

We were abandoned at a closed airport for hours. Eventually, I got the one and only uber still running in waco to drive me at 330am from waco to dallas. There has been no reinbursement of fares or compensation for lost wages, time and the general annoyance that being awake all night long caused. But i was stuck between two very overweight individuals who were traveling together and purposely sit in the same row but have someone put in the middle. Between the two of them I only had half of a seat left! Both of them were too big and were falling into my seat. It was the WORST plane ride experience ever, and the flight was sold out so I was stuck with no option. I should NOT have to pay for a whole seat if I only get to use half and am smooshed by two very huge overweight people that I asked if they would sit next to each other and they refused. It is 100% unfair and the lack of options from the crew was also not helpful."

They only offered a cheeseburger for a meal, and didn't have any other options for people with allergies like gluten free because they "ran out when serving the back first who got both a burger and side. When asking the flight attendant if there was any other option because of my allergy she rudly stated she had "a cheeseburger or a burger with cheese". We were not contacted about our flight until we were checking in at 10 am and the attendant at the airport said they knew at 7 am that the flight was delayed, we could have spent the whole day with our rental car checking out more sights but had already turned in our rental so couldn't go back."

Cons: "The flight out of RNO early in the morning was chaotic. One of the kiosks was down and the line to self-check was long and moved very slowly because there was only one agent behind the self-check baggage drop. She did well keeping up but there was a long line of unhappy customers due to the long wait. No snack was offered but I did get a glass of water. Not enough overhead storage for the carry-on bags because passengers get the luggage check tag but brought the carry-on onboard anyway."

I thought in my heart seems like he is discriminating, I could be wrong, but I always felt he wasn’t so humble while serving to me or may be other Indians too. But he was smiling extra to rest of the passengers,"

Since Iam vegtarian ..I couldn’t eat the egg that was served an hour before landing in Chicago. He could have given me the chocolate inside. He just said in haste this has egg. I told him oh I don’t eat egg, thank you. still he could have been considerate and offered me the chocolate “Toubolron” but he just went away. Later on I saw everyone eating the chocolate."

It was almost always and grunt and what do you want? The personal device entertainment was very buggy. the movie I tried to watch kept skipping, like on old scratched CD."

Had to go to a ticket desk at first departure and third departure points to have them printed, with no explanations given. Also not allowed to choose our seats for the third leg. Food was barely edible. Paid extra for roomier seats on one leg, making it more comfortable, but were extremely tight on another leg which had many empty seats scattered throughout the cabin. Cabin attendants seemed more interested in pushing items that generated revenue than providing the ones that came with the ticket (which is never cheap to begin with)."

We got to the gate for our connecting flight 9 minutes before the pushed back from the ramp and they would not let us on??? WTF poor customer service!! Fly southwest from now on!"

I should not almost miss the flight so the staff can get off the plane to stretch their legs or get a coffee."

Cons: "Engine was super loud on takeoff - to the point where passengers were looking around worried that something wasn't right. Eventually it seemed to be switched off once we hit the clouds and we seemed to sort of coast quietly for a minute or so - also alarming to everyone judging by the non-verbal behavior that suddenly everyone was exhibiting. Then it came back on again but only at half the volume. Nothing was mentioned about it by the captain or crew so I spent the rest of the flight wondering if the engine was going to give out part way through the flight."

During the two hour delay I could have used it !! Poor service I will fly American from now on !!!!!!!!!!!"

Cons: "Our flights were all cancelled or delayed and they gave us nothing to apologize. We lost 2 whole days of vacation and the cost of our rooms. All of the customer service people were rude. One lady in particular was so rude I had to walk away from the desk. The movie on the plane skipped and was unwatchable. I hate this airline and would pay more to fly another one."

Had to make my own arrangements to complete my trip at significant expense to myself and 0 assistance from Airlines."

Cons: "Agent at the counter didn't look into my passport properly so when I landed in Dfw they rejected so I couldn't fly international so I had to buy another ticket and fly back to denver. Cost me my time and money which I could have avoided only if your ticket agent checked my passport properly knowing about my international flight. Very disappointed."

Cons: "My first flight was delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight. I was put on a standby list for flights to my destination as well as to any cities around it with connecting flights. Every flight was over sold and they were unable to get me on any flights until Tuesday... My original flight was Sunday morning. I was among 26 others on this standby list. United customer service told me to wait at the airport until my flight because they wouldn't be able to help me with a hotel. Less than satisfied and annoyed that I have to miss two days of work on top of having to stay in San Francisco for two nights."

Cons: "We booked these flights and made our seating assignments when we booked months ago, but all six of us (my spouse and 4 kids ages 15, 13, 9 and 7 and myself) were forced to all sit separately on our longer connecting flight and not in our assigned seats that we had booked and reserved months ago. My kids were scared to have to sit by strangers. No one offered to switch with us so at least the younger kids could sit by their parents. The steward, Tim was rude and snooty and annoying."

Four bags were claimed and with 1 bag (blue) left the flight attendants asked us 3 more times "whose bag it was?". When no one claimed the bag one more person from United came down the isle holding the bag asking everyone one last time. I heard him say "I was told to do this". At this time 4 more people boarded late. I thought after a certain amount of time boarding would end?"

Pros: "There were hundreds of us in O'Hare during an ice issue. I got out 20 hours later by flying standby on a bigger plane to a city 279 miles from my airport (and my car and luggage). What was edifying during those very tiring 20 hours was this - no one, United or we passengers was rude or disrespectful. Were we (staff and passengers) all worn out and tired and frustrated? You bet. Everyone kept an attitude of acceptance for the 20 hours I was at O'Hare. Very impressive - civilization has a bright future."
