Cons: "It was an awful ride. The food was horrendous. The plane was ancient. No outlets, no personal TVs. The plane looks like it was from the 1990s."

Pros: "The crew and captain were lovely and communicative."
Cons: "Our plane was very old and there were engine problems that kept us grounded for hours at JFK. I was terrified the entire time we were in the air that something might go wrong. Additionally, the air conditioner worked very poorly."

Cons: "Take off was delayed for nearly an hour and the flight re-routed because of weather. We had scheduled plenty of time to make our connecting flight but we weren't updated on how much later we would be. This caused a lot of worry and stress not knowing when we would land or where our connecting gate would be. Fortunately the gates were next to one another and it all worked out. There were supposed to be usb charging connectors under the seat but I felt around for nearly 30 minutes and couldn't find them. Nobody could."

Cons: "- time it took to get off the plane. - time it took for baggage to come out. - being forced to check in my carry on bag that had fragile items."

Cons: "I am surprised that an 8 hr international flight, had no WIfi.. I had to continually ask and check the time with Crew members. This needs to change when the average seat is $800-900 and the flight holds 35 seats. AA is raking in WAY to much money to be this cheap. No WiFi and having to look up to the middle isle to watch a child's movie on repeat " Guardians of the Galaxy." My neck and back were in extreme discomfort from the 8 hr flight back to NYC. If AA had headrest monitors and WiFi this could be avoided. Its 2017 stop being cheap!"

Cons: "I didn't get home til 1am bc of this flight delay. A lot of the passengers were on the final leg of overseas travel, so we had a really hard time with the delays. Boarding was inefficient. Cree counted us like 6 times. Why is that necessary? Plane was old and uncomfortable."

Cons: "Initial flight was cancelled after 2 hours delay. My next flight was scheduled the earliest possible by AA which was 24 hours later. No transportation,hotel or miles compensation for this. I had work and responsabilities the next day. TThe scheduled trip was supposed to take off at 7:45. Boarding started late and was very slow. My bag fit the meassurements and still was forced to check it (which I did not want to do as I did not want to be waiting an hour for my bag at my arrival as I had work early the next day. In addition there was airplaine traffic as it was "rush hour" instead of flying at 7:45 we departed almost at 9pm!!!! Have to pay for food Quality of tv monitors very poor And in an uncomfortable position No movie options No wifi although stated the aircraft has Non functioning electrical plug"

Pros: "The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I was able to change my seat to sit with my husband because there were empty seats."
Cons: "I didn't like the fact that children sitting behind us weren't told to stop kicking the chair. They also spoke loudly when it was quiet and thus woke me up from my sleep. We were delayed leaving due to unforeseen circumstances, but our arrival time was only 15 minutes later. There was a lot of turbulence during this flight."

Pros: "All of the flight attendants on American Airlines were very helpful and professional."
Cons: "The American crew made a long flight comfortable and bearable"

Cons: "The planes are old. Needless to say there is no Wi-Fi, and the only entertainment on a 7.5 hour flight was a tiny tv in the center of aisle. 1987 tech in 2017. Our plane was delayed for 8 hours due to a broken hydrolics system, and no compensation for additional expenses due to equipment failure was offered."

Cons: "The check in process at JFK was a disaster. The kiosk check in machines were constantly malfunctioning, where to line up was unclear, and staff acted frustrated. After several failed attempts with the kiosks you have to wait in line to check in at the counter anyways. It would have saved almost an hour of my time to just go straight to the counter-- had I been allowed to. I wanted to check a bag which contained some fragile items. Several bottles of wine which I wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned with my packed clothes. I requested a "Fragile" sticker to be put on my bag. I was told "We don't do that here". So I asked if they handle ALL bags with extreme care and I was laughed at and told to go on my way. When I got my bag at my destination-- the outside of my leather suitcase was sliced to the lining. There were scuff marks and torn leather. My wine had been completely shattered. Not just a crack in the bottle, but flattened completely. My clothes were stained, my bag ruined. I don't know if putting a fragile sticker on would have prevented this, but I don't understand why they just "don't do that". We are trusting our property to the airline when we check bags. I will never trust American Airlines ever again. They don't want to know if I have anything fragile, and they don't care when I tell them."

Cons: "Upgraded seat to be more comfortable. Very, very cold. Uncomfortable cold. Apparently it was an old plane and adjustments to temperature were difficult. No individual tv screens. At one point the steward lost control of drink cart and crashed into my personal headphones which he broke."

Cons: "It really wasn't "On-Time", but you couldn't tell that from the monitors. (I'm sure you like to keep your statistics "clean", but they shouldn't be dishonest.) A TSA? agent had us initially wait in a long incorrect line after we picked up our passport scanner sheets even though we told her we had a tight connection. Afterwards, she moved us along with a few others. That line could have swamped us!"

Cons: "I did not have the option to reserve an aisle seat in advance, and I was stuck with a middle seat."

Cons: "The flight to NY took too long and I missed the connecting flight to DC. There was no one to help speed up the process through security and customs so I could make my flight instead, I was just rebooked for a flight 4 hours later. I have to drive to Richmond, VA tonight to make work tommorrow. I hate this neglect towards time."

Pros: "When I arrived at the airport to see the scheduled 9:30a departure was pushed back to 1pm, the gate crew did a good job of keeping us updated and they even provided lunch! The plane was undergoing maintenance but they found another plane and did not have to cancel the flight, and ultimately got us to our destination safely. Crew was very nice."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 4 hours so my half day of travel became a full day, half of which was mostly wasted at the airport. Would rather have been with my family than sitting at the airport."

Cons: "My family and I make I JFK -LAX reservation 4 months ago. We came to LAX three hours before our flight to make sure we get good seats. At the checking kiosk we did not have the option to pick seats , there was a message on the boarding pass that said to go see boarding agent. So we did, appreantly they over booked the trip and they were looking for volunteers to give up their seats!! Why did we have to be on stand by if our booking was confirmed 4 months ago!! They made us wait until the gate was closed and then they found us seats . This trip caused us mental anguish I will never fly American Airlines again"
