I liked the helpful staff I was able to contact via phone. They were able to get things worked out for me so I could get home easily while trying to change flights multiple times. The flight staff once on board was apologetic and communicative with everyone to keep people calm amongst the delays and cancellation of the original flight.

The desk attendant at the airport was unhelpful and was missing for almost two hours while we were delayed. There was no explanation as to why and it wasn't until after a 5.5 hour delay that she was able to tell us there was work being done on the plane. It was a full flight, and many people were confused and had no one to ask questions. The flight was delayed at least six times before it was cancelled and we were booked on another flight. I'm happy we were on a safe plane to fly back, but I'm unhappy with how the situation was handled. Zero communication and ultimately, I could have driven the entire way back faster that day than I could have via American Airlines. I missed a scheduled important appointment with my doctor that I cannot reschedule now. There were two other flights going to Columbus that day that people could have transferred to but as I said, there was no help at the desk to inform anyone what to do so talking on the phone to representative was the best option and that was if you could even get through that day. Delays are delays, and if it's to keep people safe, then that's fine because I'd love to be safe and make it back. However, the way it was handled made it the worst experience I've ever had with any airline. Zero communication, zero help, an entire plane of angry and frustrated people... The only thing that saved the day was another AA attendant at another gate that was able to help me properly as well as most people on my flight. I will most likely be looking at other airlines as options in the future for flying because AA has been on a steady decline lately with my experiences.

American Airlines lied to us that this flight was canceled. They made me go to the ticket counter to book another flight. While standing in line, my husband found out it was not canceled, but they were boarding the plane. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was able to get our bags checked. No American Airlines employee would help us. They just said to go back to the end of the line. The porter called the gate to have the plane wait for us. American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly!

American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly! The airlines took my family of 6 off the flight that I booked 6 months in advance, and I had no flight out of Munich, Germany. I do not know why. I called and had them put us back on the flight. I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee.

Flight was delayed. And then cancelled. We were booked into a later flight 8 hours later that was also delayed again due to weather but we did make it out of Detroit that night. Other people were not as lucky.

There is no way to get between terminals inside security and the free shuttle is slow and overcrowded. Meanwhile, one is forced to run a gauntlet of taxi and shuttle drivers trying to get you to pay them exorbitant fees to drive you to your terminal. Once you finally arrive you discover that there is no dedicated baggage recheck for an international arrival. Just don't buy a ticket that transfers in CUN.

That i finally got hom

I called bc of weather issues, and it said you may have a wait time more than 30 minutes. I waited 2 hrs and 45 mins without any update on how much longer it would be. The website told me to go to the airport the day before to see a representative. I went to the airport and they told me call back or come back the next day. Information was all inaccurate and after another 55 min wait on the phone (stated “more than 30 mins) i got an agent and rebooked my ticket.

Seemed really strange. With United already having a bad name from recent stories on the news, it made us worry. Don't like worrying when it has anything to do with an airplane.

Comfortable flight. Got an economy plus seat at Silver level. Middle seat was empty. New interior in airplane with power outlets and mood lighting in cabin. Free movies available on network. For a short flight of this duration, a very comfortable atmosphere.

Boarding process was chaotic. Gate staff didn't seem to be announcing boarding groups. I like how American has a promotion with T-Mobile for 1 hour of free wifi internet, which United doesn't.

This was one of the worst domestic flights I’ve ever taken. United Airlines had a maintenance problem I’m delayed this plane by one hour every hour for six hours keeping us captive at the airport !! Horrible service horrible Airline I will try to avoid this at all costS.

Nothing at all!!! That should really tell you something!

The staff were rude, abrasive, ignored several passengers that were trying to get her attention before take off as 2 overhead bins were wide open and full to the brim. She of course was too busy playing on her cell phone in the back of the plane and ignored/silenced the passenger call button. They were so loud when people were sleeping, yelling ‘trash please’ every 5 minutes, we are not stupid, we can see what you are doing and if we have trash, we will give it to you - so please STOP disturbing my peace and let me bloody sleep!!!! I was never offered any food or drink during the entire flight, not even when I was awake - other airline attendants are more observant and come back and ask us when we are awake if we would like anything to eat or drink. So essentially that was 7 hours with nothing after having paid a little over $700 for what was seemingly the WORST transatlantic flight I’ve ever taken. I travel back and forth often, because I’m a dual national, but I will stick to BA or Virgin Atlantic - the planes and service are far superior to this pile of turd that goes by the name of United. There were no charging facilities (power outlet or USB port) and the TVs had such horrendous resolution that you would get a headache from having to squint at the screen.

That i finally got hom

I called bc of weather issues, and it said you may have a wait time more than 30 minutes. I waited 2 hrs and 45 mins without any update on how much longer it would be. The website told me to go to the airport the day before to see a representative. I went to the airport and they told me call back or come back the next day. Information was all inaccurate and after another 55 min wait on the phone (stated “more than 30 mins) i got an agent and rebooked my ticket.

I liked the helpful staff I was able to contact via phone. They were able to get things worked out for me so I could get home easily while trying to change flights multiple times. The flight staff once on board was apologetic and communicative with everyone to keep people calm amongst the delays and cancellation of the original flight.

The desk attendant at the airport was unhelpful and was missing for almost two hours while we were delayed. There was no explanation as to why and it wasn't until after a 5.5 hour delay that she was able to tell us there was work being done on the plane. It was a full flight, and many people were confused and had no one to ask questions. The flight was delayed at least six times before it was cancelled and we were booked on another flight. I'm happy we were on a safe plane to fly back, but I'm unhappy with how the situation was handled. Zero communication and ultimately, I could have driven the entire way back faster that day than I could have via American Airlines. I missed a scheduled important appointment with my doctor that I cannot reschedule now. There were two other flights going to Columbus that day that people could have transferred to but as I said, there was no help at the desk to inform anyone what to do so talking on the phone to representative was the best option and that was if you could even get through that day. Delays are delays, and if it's to keep people safe, then that's fine because I'd love to be safe and make it back. However, the way it was handled made it the worst experience I've ever had with any airline. Zero communication, zero help, an entire plane of angry and frustrated people... The only thing that saved the day was another AA attendant at another gate that was able to help me properly as well as most people on my flight. I will most likely be looking at other airlines as options in the future for flying because AA has been on a steady decline lately with my experiences.

The personnel service during the flight was mediocre. In my opinion they don’t know what is customer satisfaction. They have to show that they like what they do with a simple smile. They are not doing the customer a favor . That is their job a good customer satisfaction

American Airlines lied to us that this flight was canceled. They made me go to the ticket counter to book another flight. While standing in line, my husband found out it was not canceled, but they were boarding the plane. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was able to get our bags checked. No American Airlines employee would help us. They just said to go back to the end of the line. The porter called the gate to have the plane wait for us. American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly!
