It was my first time flying at 54 years old and the stewardess' checked with me several times to see how I was doing and even the pilots spoke to me about my fear of flying prior to take off. All in all Alaska is great to take care of their passengers the way they did. They seemed to go the extra mile on both my flights."

Cons: "I was not allowed to use the restroom when we still had 20 minutes or so to land. As they were collecting final garbage, the restrooms were locked and I was not allowed to use them. I can understand cutting off the use of them once the flight crew is seated but they were still walking around and I really had to go. I don't recall a warning for this. If there was an announcement it was not audible over the hum of the engine. I'm very dissatisfied about that final part of my experience."

I felt very uncomfortable throughout the entire flight and would like to speak with someone from Alaska Airlines."

I don't think I've ever met more helpful, nice attendants--nothing seemed rushed, and they were helpful and happy. Similarly, the attendants on the flight were really nice and cheerful. Flights left on time, and I got in early on my first flight. I've flown a lot in the last year, but this was one of my better experiences with an airline. Check-in was really easy too."

Some airlines you pay for the seat, but you're still group 3 or 4 and, meaning all sorts of anxiety about the most miserable part of any flight, the dreaded fight for the overhead bins, wondering it you'll have to check the bag and then wait for it at the destination. Thank you for removing that."
Cons: "I was delayed half a dozen times, only to be canceled. Rescheduled on a flight that was scheduled to depart two hours before the original flight. Rescheduled after an hour hold. That flight was delayed the following day. Was diverted to Baltimore only to find out only some of us on our flight are getting out by a rude agent. Then no information at all. Had to run to catch an amtrak. Later found out if I stayed I would have stayed another 13 hours in Baltimore. Missed work and had no one home to take care of my family. Oh, and travel insurance will not cover anything. The plane itself was falling apart. Seat was broken and dirty. Everyones lights were broken and it smelled."

The guy came from behind first, which I didn't see and then one the way back, he didn't even look at my row or the row in front of me."

The flight was great. On time departure and on time arrival. I did not sample the food/beverage service. The entertaining was OK but I was disappointed that I could not access live TV. It was Sunday and I wanted to watch the football games. I could not do that due to the limited options. I did watch a movie and some canned TV series, like Big Bang theory to pass the time.

At one point a Delta employee announced over the plane's PA system that we'd be getting vouchers to compensate us for this absurd delay, but there was no explanation of how to claim those vouchers."

We got an alert stating that the flight was going to be delayed but we were already almost to the airport when I received the first message on my smartphone. We received three additional alerts making our total wait time at the airport 5½ hours before we could approach the gate and board the aircraft. Seating in immediate gate area was not comfortable. Boarding was chaotic at best with very little control and guidance provided by Delta staff. The audio over the PA system was difficult to decipher much of the time. The only other available boarding status information was presented on the screens stationed near the gate and indicated PREMIUM the entire time during our boarding process and was never updated. We literally had to scramble through the crowd to get to the gate desk and get our boarding passes validated so we could board our flight with our group of passengers. Our seating on board the aircraft was thankfully good which is why I rated Comfort as Okay. We were saddled with one more delay after the flight left the gate and taxied briefly down the runway and then sat there for almost an hour. My suggestions to improve customer satisfaction based on my experience would include the following 1. Provide extended alerts for passengers travelling especially if the anticipated delay is known to the airline more than 2 hours before scheduled flight time. 2. Improve seating in the waiting areas near all Delta gates. 3. Re-orient all staff in proper boarding process and utilizing all available resources properly to provide clear and intelligible (not speeding) overhead audio messaging and current boarding status prompts on displays. 4. Maintain or replace audio equipment if necessary to help improve quality of audio messaging in all boarding areas."

Since next flight out was 9p, I decided to cancel my trip. I did investigate taking same flight tomorrow, Jul 13, and was told it was full and I would be standby."
Cons: "Flight was determined to be 2 hours late well in advance. No e-mail, no call so we get to the airport 2 hours ahead of departure to find out we have to sit around the airport for 4 hours. This was NOT a last minute delay. This was the second Sun country flight in a row that was late. The first was a ramp gate hold for weather at the destination. Not sure why this one was late."

Cons: "Two hour delay. The seats were extremely uncomfortable, it basically felt like 1” of cotton on plywood, the back support kept popping in and out. The staff not pleasant, as in zero smiling, no welcoming on board and they were short with other passengers. It’s unbelievable that snacks are extra when every other airline offers complimentary peanuts/pretzels/cookies. I had to spend $30 extra for my fiancée to sit next to each other, even though we purchased tickets together. As a Minnesota born resident, who now lives out east, this was such a disappointment. I will not fly with again."

Attendants were very nice when I wanted more than 1 cup of coffee. Boarding let you sit right there before you got on the flight / seats were right next to the gate. Also booked totally last minute and had a window on first leg, and an aisle on second."
Cons: "The flight was delayed because of SC operational impotence and I was missing my connection. SC said they will refund the fare but refused to compensate $200 in fare difference on an alternative flight. I could not afford the alternative ticket and missed my appointment that I have scheduled 3 months in advance. SC customer service manager named Cole enjoyed torturing me on the phone for 30 min saying he was not going to approve the difference in fares blaming on weather. While an agent at the gate indicated the delay had nothing to do with the weather!!! Most horrific experience ever! And I fly all the time"

Instead of delaying it all at once, they pushed it back gradually, a total of 7 or so times, until 16 hours later we finally took off. On top of that, they blamed the weather, yet flights were taking off and landing all around us. The fault was clearly with our particualr aircraft or Sun Country management - or both. As compensation, we received a $200 voicher to fly with Sun Country again. I will likely not even use it."

I assumed they airport crew was loading luggage into the plane. But no explanation was given. The flight attendants were awesome and I ended up with a whole row to myself."

I relayed this experience to the check-in guy at the airport where I had to be in line for a few minutes, and he apologized for my experience and asked if I wanted a seat more at the front of than what was designated for me. My dad took a seat as given, then flight attendant came and told my dad that he had to move to another, more uncomfortable seat because there is someone on wheelchair has to take my dad's seat! In that case, don't they have to save a seat for wheelchair person in advance? Without asking properly, they just said my dad has to move. Very rude and poor customer service!"

The Flight was also delayed but it was never explained why despite dozens of questions from passengers. This caused a missed connection flight and forced us to stay overnight in Chicago with nothing but a $12 food voucher. When we tried t ask what other options were, American Airlines personal offered no sympathy and said the best we would get is the food vouchers and we should be grateful. No other travel reimbursement or vouchers were offered other than a replacement flight. Overall it was a huge inconvenience and caused numerous other expenditures for us."

She explained that she was unable to do anything about it. I then called American during my trip and spoke with another agent who said it was out of her hands as well and to take it up with an agent at the desk at the airport. When I checked in online, I was able to change our seats myself which was nothing that either agent even suggested. The lack of ability of these agents on the phone to help two parents traveling internationally with a toddler was unbelievable. American has terrible customer service."

Cons: "I was told I would be able to choose the seats only 24 hours before the flight by going online. I tried to choose the seats online but could not have access to the site. I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

We got to the gate collected our boarding passes found out we were seated at the very very very back of the plane right next to the restrooms.........NICE"
