Cons: "The ticket counter in Managua is unlawfully closing flights when overbooked and telling passengers they were late. Then they charged change of ticket costs for next day flight and did not provide overnight stay. They filled up flight then all agents leave counter so passengers have no one to check in. Then they came back and said it was too late and flight was closed and passenger’s fault. Then they said because bilked through Kayak/Justfly, they said next flight was not available and had to leave on last flight out of Managua the following day. This is unlawful and outrageous activity."

Cons: "The desk attendant tried to bump me off the flight and after a long argument and vociferous complaints on my end I was given a seat on the flight which I had already paid for. After getting a seat for the first leg of the flight I realized I had been put on standbye for the second leg of the flight which meant I would likely get stuck in Panama city. I went back to the desk and after another long argument I was given a seat. I was offered no compensation and they acted like they were doing me a favor by giving me a seat on the flight. When I sat down and asked the girl next to me how her day was going she told me she had had the same expernece as me but becuase she had complained less she had been bumped off of both her flights that she had purchased 6 months in advance without an explanation. Later on the flight from Panama city to san francisco which is a 7 hour flight, Copa airlines has security set up so that you cannot bring any liquids (even water you buy at the airport). This meant the passengers had a 7 hour flight without water. The crewd came through the cabin 2 maybe 3 times with drinks but this is not nearly sufficient for a 7 hour flight if you cant bring your own water..."

Also, they charge extra for checked luggage, like most airlines today. What's different is that they make it really difficult to pay for your bag. After I waited in line to check in and the agent confirmed my reservation, I was sent across the concourse to a separate Aeromexico office to pay for my bag, rather than simply paying at the check in desk. I was lucky I had the extra time to make it to the gate to catch my flight."

The agent at the counter was horrible and lacked any people skills. She couldn’t find my reservation so she insisted I wait for another flight. Needless to say she was wrong and I had to ask for an apology. Although I paid to bypass the security line it wasn’t on my boarding pass and we left over two hours late.
how does the flight attendants not say anything when people are not wearing their masks at all - people were getting on the flight with no mask. People were not wearing it at all during the flight. It makes things really uncomfortable and puts everyone at risk.
Spirit changed their flight by 12 hours so I cancelled through the airline. The flight was booked through justfly. Spirit said they cancelled and refunded in early August but justfly hasn’t refunded me yet. I have contacted them several times and all they say is that they need more time. Not a good experience with either partner.

Cons: "There’s 3 valid check points, at checking, passing through customs, and perhaps at the gate prior to boarding the plane, I got stopped and asked , passport and boarding pass, has any one given you anything to carry? Left your bag alone? Taking any live stock... blah blah. It seems that 3 checkpoints were part of the airport security and 3 others by the spiritAir lines staff. How rediculous is that, making a poor little old lady take of her shoes, I know that the Managua international airport is infamous for shoe bombers and heavy ISIS trafic, but come on, an old lady... and have 6 check points. Literally, you took ten steps, and you had to get on another line for another check point. The airport is not even that big to support the queues these guys are creating. Absolutely humorous! And at the same time a nousance, the flight is in the middle of the night, they force you to be in queues, to end up sitting tightly squeezed hard seats, with staff that have no concept of customer service."

The flight was extremely turbulent the entire way. Which made it hard to even nap after boarding 3 hours late. I couldn't look out a window...I couldn't nap...I couldn't read because of the turbulence...literally the only thing I could do was stare at the seat in front of me for 2+ hours. They didn't even offer complimentary snacks or beverages, we had to pay to eat or drink. SHITTY AND UNCOMFORTABLE! But at least nobody dragged me off the plane, so that's a plus."

Missed connecting flight. As I booked a flight from MGA to BOS I did not notice the short connecting time. I missed the flight to BOS because there was not enough time to transfer. I did nothing except go through immigration and transfer my bags. The immigration lines were long but not incredibly so. One hour is simply not enough time to transfer here. About 5 or 6 other passengers also missed their connecting flights who were on the MGA to FLL leg. These flights should either come with a warning or they should not be sold."

Updates changed from 30 minute delay to unboard to long line of others in front of us, to we're next to gate, to the pilots are leaving because they've been there too long, to we're getting off and you'll be bused to Ft. Lauderdale. Very confusing and frustrating."

The layover time is simply not enough time to make a connection, I highly recommend that this airline rethink the way they schedule flights, it would save them a lot of money and angry customers. the flight attendants were nice as were the counter people, however the people that are suppose to be helping you make your connection In Fort Lauderdale are rude and unhelpful. If you have a connecting flight, make sure you have at least 3 hours or you won't make it-again, something that spirit needs to change."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 30 mins and since my conncetion was so tight, I missed my flight to New Orleans from Ft. Lauderdale. I was re-booked on a flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Atlanta for a 8 hour layover. Once aboard my flight to New Orleans from Atlanta, a mechanical issue left us sitting on the tarmac for an additional two hours. My scheduled six hour trip turned into 16 hours. This caused me major inconvenience as I was forced to take an unexpected day off from work. Despite me loosing a day's wages, Spirit Airlines was unable to make any concessions. I paid in full for my checked luggage, despite souvenirs being broken, and was forced to pay for any in-flight beverages & food. Spirit Airline staff was clearly not accommodating nor friendly. Soft drinks and snacks were costly."

The flight to Fort Lauderdale my chair was electrically disassembled and was not put back in the same condition that I gave it to the service attendance in. I was stranded for over an hour trying to get assistance to return my chair to a usable condition. Nobody should have disconnected the wiring on my chair without my notification and approval. On my return flight apparently your policy changed and the battery had to be completely removed and inserted into a completely separate box which when I arrive back in Detroit was not with my chair and again I had to wait additional time just get my battery back. Spirit has serious issues apparently now concerning disabled power chairs. Pros: "the only thing I liked, it's their consistency, they really do suck at everything"
Cons: "What I hated the most? Hmmmm that's a tough one, but I think the winner would have to be when I made it home and my luggage kept traveling."

Pros: "I can't say I disliked anything really very nice welcoming flight staff, great pilots, on time departing and arriving."
Cons: "The price of drink and food kinda pricey, any previous flight/airline even on a one-two hour flight offered one free beverage, woulda been greatly appreciated but that was the only issue I had. That Small complaint is my only one."
Pros: "flight was clean, leg room and seating was a pleasant surprise . crew was effective and polite"
Cons: "spirit check in line was almost 2 hrs long at 5 Am on the day of the flight. nearly missed the flight due to spirit issues and not tSA"

Pros: "Boarding was quick, flight crew was nice, airplane was new, and we landed early! (despite taking off late)"
Cons: "Absolutely zero accommodations, they even charge for water. And you're pretty tightly packed in there. But since it was a short flight, these things were acceptable. You also get what you pay for. My flight was very reasonable"
Pros: "Direct flight."
Cons: "Seats: even the expensive ones, don't recline. very uncomfortable. Departure was over an hour late. Crew was rude and dismissive. My feeling is that it was reflective of the culture they have at Spirit."
Pros: "What did you like? I like that after 36 hours I made it to my bed. I like that the friends we were traveling with are good humans. I like that the Uber app is so convenient- which we learned when stranded in Ft Lauderdale for 14 hours & 45 minutes"
Cons: "What didn't you like? When we landed in Ft Lauderdale from Managua we had to go through customs- Managua flight had been delayed. We expressed to multiple Spririt employees our concern about our connecting flight. The response was don't worry- you wool make it.... We did not. We hustled through customs & ran to re-check & the gates were locked before we even had a chance to make it back through security. The first Spirit Air employee offered no suggestion for what to do next - rather just sarcastically added: Well, there's nothing I can do. The door to the plane is locked. You want me to bust it in? They tried to tell us we had ample time & saying we had an hour from touch down ( not from when the plane doors were actually opened & we were allowed to come off the plane) to make our flight. This was not the case. We knew ahead of time that this was a "no frills" airline. However, there is no concern for the customer. Also, removing the "frills" ended up costing us- with every last detail down to baggage- and really deleting any perceived savings. This airline has deleted any concern for the customer- saving money is a customer concern... So with that logic, Everything else is smoke and mirrors. We would say- use this airline for convenience on non stop domestic flights only. They are too disorganized & chaotic for anything else."
Pros: "Nice crew, affordable snacks and beverages"
Cons: "I cannot believe I had to spend $50 to check one bag each way, and if I had a carry on it would cost more also. Most airlines give the first bag free and only $25 for first checked bag, if not free. This is the very reason I will not be using spirit airline in the future."
