This constant back and forth was a nightmare to deal with planning if/when to arrive for flight and consumed my entire day (night flight but first notification of delays was sent the morning of)"

Cons: "I have been a big fan of JetBlue and even have had its Mosaic status for several years. But I have started to have negative experiences related to maintenance of the planes. This flight was an example. We boarded the plane only to be told we had to get off. They had to do engine maintenance, as the engine seemed to be using or losing too much oil, according to the Captain. We finally re-boarded and arrived in Boston about 40 minutes late. Not too bad, but the pattern of maintenance issues I have experienced concerns me."

Also on my AA portion of my flight coming into The U S in New York the flight was cancelled and I was told the next flight Available was next day (18hr delay) at the other NY airport. I had to have someone drive from D.C. (My destination) to pick me up"

She was arguing with another passenger before helping me over the same subject, so when I tried to explain that the smallest backpack was almost empty and fit inside the other, she was impatient, upset ignored me and was already demanding my credit card with the bag tag in her hand rushing me. I paid extra $60.00 after I had paid $25,00 for the first bag when I could have put the flexible kipling inside the Jansport if she had listened to me. The flight delayed after I was unable to defend myself and paid an unfair feer."

Cons: "When we made reservations in February we opted for economy plus seating 8C and 8D on an Airbus A320. In June we received notice of a schedule and equipment change to a Boeing 737-300. I was not told or given the option to change seat assignments, and we were assigned middle and window seats 28E and 28F, which were torture, so narrow and almost no legroom. Why weren't we automatically assigned economy plus seats? Adding insult to injury I had to apply for a refund for the seat upgrade, which again should have been automatic. Seeing as how the return flight was code-shared with AirCanada, United did not give us the option to upgrade seating, so I was forced to call United, waited almost 40 minutes so that they could give me the AirCanada booking reference number which then enabled me to upgrade seats via AirCanada's website. Lucky thing too because there weren't many economy plus seats left. I consider myself to be a savvy traveler, but there were too many unknowns and hoops to jump through in order to get proper seating. Plus the extra fees for premier access and baggage are exorbitant. Finally, I bought an egg white flatbread snack which was awful. I don't see how United gets away with this treatment, it certainly doesn't make for an enjoyable experience when vacationing. In fact we are seriously considering not taking any more vacations requiring flying. We're happy that airlines are profitable, but not at the expense of comfort or navigating options that require very sophisticated knowledge."

It took me 5 hours to watch 20 min of the movie I chose. It just kept cutting out, then would say entertainment service isn't offered, etc. Why are airlines going away from personal TVs & instead having you bring your own device which may or may not work with the service up there? There was also NO room. I'm not a big person, but I didn't even have space to put my bad under the seat in front of me & sit comfortably. (I am 70 and 4 hours is too long to sit) I usually get an isle seat but ALWAYS have to give up my bag at the gate - my bag which you tell me I can bring ON the plane with me. I do not like having to waste time claiming my bag that you told me I could have with me on the plane. I can pay $25 for that privilege!! The flight attendants always seem like they have their defenses up. One even held up the people trying to board so she could serve a drink to someone in first class. REALLY?? They couldn't wait till the plane was loaded?? I gave this flight a 'good' rating because it was mostly as good as it is going to get with economy passengers needs stripped to the bare minimum."

This caused me to almost missed my flight with Eva Airlines. For the remainder of my trip EVA airline staff were quite grumpy with me for being 45 minutes late boarding. I actually am thankful that I believe they held the plane that 45 minutes for me. It just seems too convenient that the plans out there that long after its scheduled takeoff."

They told me they had no way of contacting the airline staff at the airport to assist us Completely unprofessional, poor customer care and inefficient. Just made it before the gate to the aircraft closed."

I didn't get my seat until stepping onto the plane/bridge. While there was nobody available to even tell us what was going on regarding seat assignments until 10 minutes before boarding, there were 4-6 United employees sitting in chairs right next to our gate chit chatting (being paid to do absolutely nothing), who couldn't even tell us what was going on (what a waste of resources)... Even the manager took 15 minutes to carefully set up the line walkways coming in to customer service... like it had never been done before and she had to reinvent the wheel."

Pros: "The flight attendant could not have been better. For the first time in my life, I had to ask for a seatbelt extender (and sit sideways-ish in the seat), and she very discretely got me one. The previous flight that day, I fit in the seat just fine (as usual) and had some extra length on my normal belt. This seat was definitely the smallest I'd ever been in, but I was thankful to that woman for being SUPER understanding and doing other things throughout the flight that made me more comfortable."

Some had connecting flights, pray they made it there. The ones that came to pick us up one two persons for eight people could not do the job. So we were taken off air craft n put out in lobby, to wait for all to be off the aircraft and then transport, one at a time to baggage claim area. Transporters and stewardess did a very gd job. Just the lack of help. Air conditioner on plane was off, so even ten minutes of smell bathrm, is just too much when air conditioning is off. I got very congested and had to use the inhaler, after a couple of sneezes due to environmental allergies. On top of that, cleaning people got on to clean w chemicals, only to affect me some more. Now I stuffed up, feel horrible, nite was bad with asthma n allergies that could have been avoided."

Hard, didn't recline even a tad bit. No wifi. Had I known this, I would have saved myself $20 in the long run and been way more comfortable on United. A really bad trip."

The ol bate and switch. I was in a pickle, so instead of paying $57. I had to pay $238. Therefore my inexpensive trip sure was very expensive."
