We booked , through Kayak, with British Air and paid extra for premium economy and the actual carrier, American, doesn’t know how to process a refund and no such seats are available on our rebooked flight 24 hours later so it has been frustrating."

Cons: "I order a vegetarian meal in the hope I will get something edible. This was the worst airline food I have ever had. The plane was old so the economy class seats were larger than normal. There was, however, no in-seat entertainment. On the upside, I'm glad I didn't fly business class. Compared to the standard set by other airlines, the seats appeared to be from the 80's."

Cons: "Boarding started almost an hour late but the status never went to delayed (they just said it was on time but kept pushing the boarding time back). Arrived in CLT with only 20 min before the next flight departure."

Cons: "For an airline that has been around as long as they have, their customer service is lacking signicantly. Communication was lacking to the passengers. As far as helpful, I cannot say they I witnessed anyone being helpful or trying to make a pleasant experience. The flight attendants seemed lacking in knowledge, friendliness, consideration, or empathy."

Cons: "That the plane coming into Raleigh from Dallas had technical problems so it made us miss our connecting flight in Chicago. I needed to be at work in Des Moines Monday morning at 8 and they bumped us to a flight from Chicago to Des Moines for 12:00 pm Monday afternoon. We had to pay $280 to rent a car and I drove all night and went straight to work without even going home to shower or get ready or anything. My 4 and a half year old son had to endure the whole thing too."

I don’t know how many times I could explain my situation, and my English is not poor and I thought I was explaining myself clearly. Best think I could do is just say forget it I’ll take my $ 430 dollar last."

Finally, I said "I have a quick question," to which replied bluntly "What is it?" I then asked whether there were TVs on the flight, and he just said "No" and turned his back to me. Extremely rude."

Cons: "The cabin crew insisted that we had to claim our baggage in Houston and go thru customs with it. THEY WERE WRONG! . we wasted 15 mins for luggage that we then found out did not need to be picked up as it was routed direct to Vancouver. This almost made us miss our next flight and caused us a lot of stress. We had specifically asked the crew to check as we thought it was ticketed to Vancouver but they insisted WE WERE WRONG"

Pros: "Everything went very smoothly. Food was just ok. I had the omelet which was mostly cheese. You had access to the entertainment only if you had your own system that would tie into the United app. For most people, it was probably not a big deal but I had to download the app before taking off (they did warn you numerous times) and if you didn't do it, you were out of luck."

Which resulting in someone with a lower boarding # having to check their bag because their wasn't enough overhead space. Flight attendants were very rude when approached by the problem."

Pros: "I flew from Manchester NH to Miami with a layover in Newark. I had 7 people in my group with three of them being children. I did not choose seats before departure date and when we arrived at the airport we found that we were all in separate seats. The attendant noticed this and immediately moved people around to make sure the children were sitting with an adult. It was a small commuter plane so I was very surprised anyone would change seats. Thank you United for a great experience"

Pros: "The plane was new and the seats were comfortable. It was a decent size plane. It wasn't crowded, so folks could spread out and sleep since it was a late evening flight."
Cons: "There were only about 12 people on the flight, and they made 6 of us wait past boarding time until the others arrived. I wanted to get on and get settled, so this was an annoyance to me. There was no beverage or snack service, which I assume was because it was a short flight. However, my itinerary showed a longer flight, so I didn't pre purchase any beverages, I was thirsty the entire flight."

Cons: "I was seated next to a morbidly obese man that smelled of feces so bad people many seats away had to cover their noses, overflowed his seat, taking up half of mine, and was watching disgusting pornography on his phone for half the flight, not that I was looking, but it was a bit hard to not notice, he wasn't trying to hide it. The power outlet under my seat did not work, so my phone died, and my armrest(left) was missing it's headphone jack so I couldn't use the in-flight entertainment, not that it would have mattered anyway, the fat man beside me was so huge, his fat covered my armrest so I had no access to the remote. The guy on my right, in the window seat, while not fat, wasn't small either and hogged two armrests, leaving me with none. I had to hold my seatback with my left hand the entire flight because there was nowhere to put my left arm without either holding it straight out in front of me, or laying them on the fat mans stomach which was folded over the armrest to my left. At one point I called a flight attendant and asked if they had any kind of a pillow or something to help my situation because the position I was forced to sit in was horribly uncomfortable and did not support my back, she looked at me confused, said they have nothing like that, and immediately vanished without any suggestion of a seat change or anything, just confused stare and then bolted away. All in all a pretty traumatizing experience, worst flight of my life."
