Our granddaughter's stroller and car seat were not available to us at the gait and we were directed to collect it at the baggage claim area. These two pieces had not arrived in the baggage claim area as well. Therefore, we contacted the airline representative in the lost baggage office. We spent close next two hours trying to locate the missing pieces to no success. We were provided a substitute car seat for her and as we were a minute from our destination in Solon, we received a phone call that those missing pieces were located (we don't know where in the airport) and delivered a couple of hours later.
It just speaks to the incompetence of the Spirit airlines staff. I do not think that we shall again fly Spirit in the near future, nor shall we recommend it to other family members or friends.
Would like to know why we did not have seats we asked for after paying extra for that choice. Also, during the boarding process, the attendant was not loud enough and people began boarding out of zones. Very unorganized.
Frontier has always been clean , efficient, and friendly.
What we NOW do not like is how they nickel and dime you to death. We paid for our ticket--good price. Then, suddenly we discovered we had to "pay for the seat." So, what was the ticket for? If we didn't, would we have to stand in the aisle? How ridiculous! And then, we discovered that we not only had to pay for our luggage, but now we have to pay for carry ons also. What started out being a great price went up exponentially very quickly. $110 more dollars for the luggage and carryons...$36 more for "seats"... so a round trip ticket was then $220 more and then $72 more on top of that. Gone was the good price and here was a feeling of being "had" by once was a good deal airline. It is a shame and a sham. We are not happy.
We selected this deal for the price. When checking in, you are forced to pay for a seat on the airplane and for checked OR carry on baggage. We selected the cheapest of each and totaled 92$ addition for our flight out. We will have to pay an additional 92$ for our flight back.... What we are paying extra would have been included in another flight that simply cost a little more to begin with.
Seats have no cushion, arm rests look like they belong on a child seat and the "tray" couldn't hold a grande drink from Starbucks.
Seat, seat room, tray table, food choice, drink choice and cost. Perhaps I was not paying attention, but did not understand that I would pay for my seat (again) along with my carry on bag at check in. I am pretty sure there was no entertainment.
I had a very unfortunate circumstance during my flight where the child next to me got sick and was throwing up. The mother was helping him while i paged for the flight attendant. As she approached I signaled to the child and asked for towels to help clean him up... She looked utterly disgusted and returned with 6 paper towels. When I explained that's not good enough she rolled her eyes and brought back another stack. None of the attendants offered any sort of assistance or guidance for the mother and were more than unhelpful. It was a shame that not only was I, a paying passenger the only one helping, but that they also gave attitude like the situation was something that could have been controlled... This was my first flight with Frontier and I will be sure to pass along how rude and unhelpful their staff is.
This is the 4th time we've flown Spirit and our 4th great experience. All the flights we've taken have left on time and arrived on time.
This flight actually arrived 15 minutes earlier than predicted. What I truly appreciated was the Pilot letting us know it was going to be bumpy and why, and what he was going to do to try and minimize the inconvenience.
An added bonus, a genuinely funny stewardess explaining the safety features. It's one of the few times I actually listened to the instructions carefully. She was applauded at the end - well done!
I fly Spirit to get safely from point A to B and I don't mind at all paying for the extras - that way I get what I want, not what someone else thinks I should have.
Boarding pass kiosk in Orlando next to luggage weigh in - led to a pile up trying to check in. Seats really small. Luggage had to be tossed, all the shampoo and makeup was smashed and had to be thrown out. Interesting since they charged $50 per bag.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
