Pros: "Without asking, the crew arranged to have my partner and I sit next to each other. That was such a pleasant touch of service for our trip. Also, the connection was perfectly timed at Chicago flying to Bozeman."

Pros: "Without asking, the crew arranged to have my partner and I sit next to each other. That was such a pleasant touch of service for our trip. Also, the connection was perfectly timed at Chicago flying to Bozeman."
Pros: "First flight I’ve been on where United airlines has adequate leg room for a tall person. A newish airbus plane. I’ve been avoiding United for a number of years cause their planes tend to be very uncomfortable for taller passengers. This is the seat spacing that all airlines should have."
Pros: "Amazing experience"
Cons: "No, everything was perfect"
Pros: "Empty plane personal seating everyone"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "The crew was fantastic!! Friendly and attentive!!"
Cons: "More snack options other than pretzels would’ve been nice."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Space a little cramped.for spmepne 6'3""
Pros: "Minimal turbulence"
Pros: "Check-in process was smooth"
Pros: "Friendly staff and efficiency"
Cons: "None that I can think of"
Pros: "The people were all very nice. The plane was top-notch. Would definitely fly with them again if I had the opportunity."
Cons: "The boarding lasted much longer than I had anticipated. I was also not informed of when my group was boarding at the proper time."
Pros: "The actual crew on the flight was lovely and apologetic, did everything they could to help us despite the delays. At least that's something."
Cons: "Delayed for over an hour but not notified of the length of the delay in a fashion which would allow me to drive the 2 hours to Chicago in order to make my connection. Repeatedly told the connecting flight was the last one out of the entire airport to my final destination. Heard other travelers discussing that they had been rebooked onto an alternate airline and then found a later flight on Kayak, walked up to podium and asked to be rebooked on that specific flight, which they grudgingly did. Of note, I was repeatedly reassured that they were "sure" I would make my connection without a problem and to stop worrying so much. My flight left out of Madison 2 minutes after my connection departed Chicago. I usually fly a different airline, whose flights out of Madison were all on time that day, and will do so in the future despite more expensive ticket. The actual crew on the flight was lovely and apologetic, did everything they could to help us despite the delays. At least that's something."
Pros: "Flight was on time and boarding was smooth."
Cons: "The crew weren’t as welcoming. No leg room at all."
Pros: "All was good. Flight attendants helpful and friendly."
Pros: "Everything! The flight left on time and landed early. Service was great and the staff was super."
Pros: "Well organized."
Cons: "The plane was delayed 5 times causing us to miss our connection. We had to stay overnight in the airport in Chicago. We were told that there would be blankets waiting for us that we could use however there weren't and we had to practically beg for them."
Pros: "a little bit more foot-room than my previous flight on a different airline."
Cons: "The plane got delayed by more than 3 hours!"
Pros: "Clean aircraft, swift flight"
Cons: "Seat was changed to last row/middle seat (not what initially booked or confirmed with online check-in). Before takeoff, attendant moved all passengers in back row to alternate seats. Which meant that I was no longer traveling with my colleague. Unfortunately, that made our intended meeting time impossible."
Pros: "United Provide good service"
Cons: "The flight delayed"
Pros: "service on time"
Cons: "snacks very little amounr"
Pros: "I fly weekly, but try never to book United because there are always issues with my support animal. Without fail, regardless of the city, the agents at check-in do not know what to do. Each time I'm met with annoyance at having to check me in, and I usually end up calling either the disabilities desk and handing the agent my phone, or asking for the CRO. I have to leave an extra 45 minutes to accommodate flying United every time -- ridiculous. This time I also got a load of unprofessional gate agents cooing and awwing at my my support animal, and trying to pet him. When this happens I always simply state, "please don't" and this was key with rudeness as well. United please provide us with more professional and adequately trained staff at the airports. Once we're on the planes it's fine. But you seem to have VERY low hiring standards for airport staff"
Pros: "All good, no complaints!"
Pros: "United, as always, was professional and efficient. Once I was able to find the information from price line for my check in, everything went smoothly. I was impressed that the airline sent an email suggesting a change of itinerary due to weather in Chicago, and waived change fees to facilitate this. I got home without cancelled or delayed flights."
Cons: "The kayak to price line to united interface led to communication breakdown. I received no notice to check in for my departing flight, and had to dig through several messages and 2 websites to find the appropriate confirmation number. It should be clearer who you are actually purchasing from, and there should be better fail-safes in place to prevent loss of information"
Pros: "The seats and the price"
Cons: "How far back I was"
Pros: "Drinks and cookies were good. On-flight attendants were polite."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for 4 hours at night due to repairs. Luckily, they placed me in a hotel. However, it was probably the worst hotel that I have every stayed (uncomfortable bed, bad pillows, smokey smell, etc.). The next morning while boarding, the gate attendant was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will spend a little extra to not fly with United if possible."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Delayed 3 hours"
Pros: "Tv"
Cons: "The tv kept shutting on and off"
Pros: "The leg room"
Pros: "Free beverage and snack. Flight attendants were nice."
Cons: "Sat inside the airplane for more than an hour! It was horrible. Why have the customers board the aircraft when crew members know that we're going to be delayed due to weather?! Ridiculous."
Pros: "United got me from point A to point B"
Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."
Pros: "Getting through the airport was a breeze"
Cons: "My wifi didn't work on board I was completely counting on it to work and I paid for it and it never actually connected me (so I wasted the money and didn't get a refund and I also missed an important online meeting!"
Pros: "The crew was nice and great with the three very young kids sitting in front of me. Left and landed on time!"
Cons: "Very cramped seating. The on flight entertainment kept searching for a satillite signal, only ever staying on for 30 seconds before searching for the next 3 minutes."
Pros: "I'm handicapped and the help getting from terminal to terminal. The people were very helpful."
Cons: "I have metal leg braces. I had to remove them to get in the seat. So the flight was uncomfortable. It would be nice if the plane could have handicapped seating.I know I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for comfortable seating."
Pros: "Pilots and some flight attendants were kind and friendly."
Cons: "On the return home, I was seated in the last row right next to the lavatory. I was bumped into at least 25 times by other passengers and flight attendants. I would suggest removing the aisle seat on both sides."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, missed connection, chose to go to Minneapolis and was booked on a flight that I didn't have time to get to the terminal, so was rebooked a 3rd time, missed my shuttle, have no idea where my luggage is"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Plane was delayed due to fuel issue. Missed connecting flight and was put in economy when I paid for first class."
Cons: "My connection to YYZ was cancelled and I was not even rebooked to the next flight. I needed to buy a ticket on Air Canada in order to get there. Every time I fly United I find myself asking "why in the hell am I flying United?""
Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "Very delayed flight No updates for departure, empty desk until it was time to depart, for why we sat on the runway for so long, no update on landing time or that we were starting descent"
Pros: "guess that the only thing I liked is that there was no problem during the flight."
Cons: "When we landed un Houston it took forever to get off the plane. It was unclear where to get my luggage. I had to leave it to pass through TSA to run and try to catch my flight from Houston to Chicago. When I arrived at my gate I got there just in time because they were starting to board the plane. I was uconfortable sitting between two men. I traveled alone. When we landed in Chicago, took forever to get to the gate so we can get off the plane. There was no entertainment, at least for me. My phone was way low in battery and ai couldn't watch anything."
Pros: "Good service"
Cons: "Delays, had to stay overnight in Chicago since we arrived 6 hours late"
Cons: "Either ran out of or no snacks offered. Crew seemed a little impatient"
Cons: "Where do I start. Let's start with booking and the lack of knowledge, inability to listen and respond in an appropriate manner, and the fact that after I asked to speak to a manager due to the previous issues with the agent, and after being transferred all I needed was some understanding and support due to a family emergency and instead I get a short rude push back and then hung up on by the manager after I expressed my struggle and desperation for help. The lack of empathy and just the overall experience was beyond horrible, and if it wasn't for the desperate situation I was in I would have never used your services."
Pros: "In Flight staff very nice"
Cons: "Delays delays"
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "My first time flying through United and I am dissapointed my flight was delayed over 6 hours and we get no refund for that? Really United? Aren't you suppose to be a top airline for a reason. Never again"
Pros: "Friendly service, nice and comfortable."
Pros: "Crew was attentive and efficient."
Cons: "Seats are very cramped for anyone above average height. Not enough space for carry on baggage when the plane is full."
Pros: "The availability of free entertainment on the plane was a positive. The stewardess also was accommodating in giving me both a soda and water."
Cons: "We arrived 1 hour early to a line for checking bags that did not move for nearly 1 hour. There were staff behind the desk that were standing around on their phones and meanwhile there were lines longer than I have ever seen just waiting to be helped. The fact that check in etc was all in one place at the MSY is baffling. I paid ahead of time to check my bags but still had to wait in line behind people who had not even checked in for flights that appeared to be stopping in at least two destinations. Once we finally got to the counter, the staff member informed us that they were re-routing our trip. No apology was offered. When I conferred with my travel companion about the best option to re-route, the employee said "Sir I am speaking to you. Not that man." I tried to explain that this man was my travel companion who I needed to travel with because we were in-fact going to the same destination and had planned additional transportation together and that I needed to know if there was room for two people on this flight so that we could proceed onto our route together. After being interrogated about why my companion was not on my reservation, the employee told us that 12 people would not make the flight we were supposed to be on. She then took our bags (we have now been in line to check bags for almost 1.5 hours). Fast-forward to the return flight. We are supposed to depart at 7:15, but were delayed to 8pm, then 8:30, then back to 8pm, then to 8:25, then 8:40, then 9pm between the times of 11am and 8pm. Our trip to the airport that included two trains was significantly more stressful as these projected times were changed because we went from being on time to late to on time all within the span of an hour. The employees on the return flight were helpful in making up for the numerous delays but the confusion that seemed to hover over the company made me feel like nobody cared about whether we reached our destination."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The fact that I was given absolutely no notice of my flight being cancelled. I understand that there was inclimate weather, however, it is the duty of an airline to notify travelers of their flights status. When approaching the front desk about the flight, a desk person had the nerve to ask me if I realized that it snowed. He is quite lucky that I didn't file a complaint. I have no words to describe my disgust for his poorly timed sarcasm, especially because this flight was en route to a family emergency."
Pros: "Was direct and easy. No issues with boarding or flight"
Cons: "Cramped"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats - don't recline! Rude crew, create an impression if they're doing you a favor by being there. Flight significantly delayed. No clear announcements. As a frequent flier, didn't expect a Spirit like experience from Frontier!"
Pros: "Cheap airfare. Stretch seating option."
Cons: "Where do I start? Going to Vegas (from Chicago), we sat on the tarmac for 90 minutes with no explanation. We finally took off after that, and no attempt was made to regain lost time. In fact, the flight took even longer after we were up than the original plan. The seats were very uncomfortable. I don't know if the seats on the return trip had more padding, but there seemed to be a noticeable difference between the two flights, not just by myself, but noticeable in the lack of squirming on the second flight by everyone else as well."
Cons: "The plane had by far the most uncomfortable seats I've ever been in. They might as well have had metal fold-up seats. I paid extra for a specific seat, and when another passenger took it, a flight attendant gave me a hard time when I asked them to move. I was unaware that I'd have to pay $40 just for a carry on until AFTER I booked the flight, in which case I would've just chosen a better airline."
Pros: "I have to say that the flight attendants were very nice and attentive! Much much better then the attendants from AA! We left on time and arrived early at out destination! Yes you guys charge for everything and the planes are old and not much seat leg room, but its expected based on the price! Over all a great flight for our money! We had the same experience on our round trip to FL!"
Pros: "On-time, organized"
Cons: "Lights burnt out overhead so could not read."
Pros: "The flight attendants were fairly kind and considerate when going about their job."
Cons: "I fly a lot and have taken a fair share of disappointing flights but this one certain hits the top. The boarding process was chaotic; the woman at the counter was down right rude and did not once make eye contact. The flight crew was close to useless when people were taking too long to be seated or placing bags in the overhead. I cannot rate food or entertainment because frontier is too cheap to even hand out tiny bags of mixed nuts. You certainly pay for what you get. Then we all waited 45 minutes for our bags to be unloaded at baggage claim. That is an unacceptable amount of time! Only for me to realize my bag was lost and somewhere in Mississippi. I've been traveling as a frequent flyer member on united and American for five years and I was considering joining frontier'/ program but after this experience I need to reevaluate."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Had to sit on the tarmac about 30 minutes on arrival in Indianapolis because another aircraft was at our gate. Why couldn't we have gone to a different gate? Arrival was at about 9pm and the airport wan't that busy. This was uncomfortable. Would have been a good time to hand out free snacks and beverages or drink coupons for a future flight."
Pros: "Cheap prices"
Cons: "No snacks or drink aboard."
Pros: "Check in crew and gate crew were polite,"
Cons: "Flight crew was insulting and arrogant. NO SERVICES are offered, not even a blanket or pillow. When the flight attendant offers a beverage or snack for purchase, their pad automatically asks for a 20% or more gratuity. What??? Isn't that their job? Now that we've learned that Frontier is consistently delayed many hours for bogus reasons, we are sorry we took advantage of what appeared to an inexpensive flight when it would have been worth paying more to avoid the enormous delays, plus ignorant treatment by the flight attendants, particularly the lead attendant (male)."
Cons: "YOU SHOULD PROBABLY EMAIL US IF FLIGHT DELAYED 4 HOURS"
Cons: "We sat on the tarmac for a very long time after we pulled out of the gate. It would've been nice for someone on the loudspeaker to explain how long they expected the delay to be. That's what I've seen other airlines do."
Pros: "Low fare"
Cons: "You have to pay for EVERYTHING"
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Waiting"
Cons: "The flight was fine but it was delayed at the last minute which was annoying. There was no communication by gate staff about what was going on and that was frustrating and confusing. I liked receiving updates via email, but the human touch would have been nice too. The gate staff seemed very overwhelmed by the situation and I don't think she handled it well. I heard that meal vouchers were being distributed but I didn't learn this until we were getting ready to board the flight so I didn't receive a voucher and I didn't get dinner."
Pros: "I sat in the first row, so the leg room was pretty good."
Cons: "Kayak quoted ticket prices in search results that were not consistent and I didn't know off the top of my head that Frontier makes you pay for all luggage, even carry ons. The woman at the ticket counter did not notice my luggage and let me know that I needed to pay extra for it, so I paid twice as much at the gate ($60) after being pulled out of the boarding line. These results should be marked differently so it's not so difficult to figure out which tickets are actually less expensive. Only water on the flight (unless you want to buy a can of soda for $5), only one chance to get water, food is also only for purchase. No entertainment options. An oil slick of grease and grime over my window. Very, very unimpressed."
Pros: "Staff are nice, but I feel bad for them though because they work for a crappy airline. At least the plane was clean/not in obvious disrepair/not a 1955 propeller plane."
Cons: "Cheap airline and it really shows. Both departing and returning flights were heavily delayed with multiple gate changes. Even a cup of water on the flight is not included (costs $), they try to charge for even carry-on luggage on online check-in (what other airline even does that??? I recommend skipping that step - they didn't even ask anyway). Crammed seats and tiny trays. The return flight included a technical problem where they had everyone get off the plane and board another one after more delays. I will never fly Frontier ever again, even if flights cost $1."
Pros: "In general the flight was good however the landing was a bit rough"
Cons: "The flight arrival was ahead of schedule and hostesses were great also"
Pros: "The stewardess keep their cool but one got a lil snarky over the intercom when people were not seated fast enough. Threatening that we would lose our new gate if they did not sit down."
Cons: "2 hour flight was delayed 2 hours due to weather. crew really turned the previous flight around to make up some time. However when we got to Chicago we sat on the Tarmac waiting for our gate to clear and it never did. 40 minutes later they get a new gate only to move to that position and wait for an additional 15 minutes. All the while I am sitting in a window seat that smells of pretzels every time I look out. Not the fresh out of the oven kind. The people on the flight were getting unruly. We are coming from Philadelpha so that is to be expected. I have already sworn off spirit and I will have to consider carefully flying frontier again. Let's see what the flight home holds for me. T-"
Pros: "I'd like to not be charged for a carry-on."
Cons: "I did not like the overselling, extra fees (i.e. carry-on charge)."
Pros: "Price was the only positive."
Cons: "The extra fees that were not made known to me prior to booking the flight."
Cons: "DELAYED"
Cons: "Carry on for $60?! Every other airline allows you to check a 50 lbs bag for $25 and bring 2(!!!) carry ons on the plane. Extremely mad about wasting that money. Never using your airline again as long as you're charging this ridiculous amount of money."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Delay, luggage prices. No better than spirit. Never flying Frontier ever again!"
Pros: "I got home"
Cons: "It is outrageous that frontier charges $40 for carry on baggage. Completely defeats purpose of cheaper tickets. There was an abundance of open space in the overhead storage that was not used. As long as they continue this policy, I'm no longer a frontier customer."
Cons: "$40 for every Carry-on luggage"
Cons: "That we had to buy drinks and snacks"
Cons: "Flight 33 minutes late leaving. Did not realize Frontier now charges for everything. My mistake but realized I could have flown on American for same price after all extras added to ticket by Frontiet. Not likely to ever fly on Frontier again."
Pros: "The staff"
Cons: "The plane, the five-hour delay."
Pros: "The low price of the fare"
Cons: "1. All the added charges even for a refreshment 2. The obnoxiously loud noises coming from the plane mechanics 3. A group of 5 that were drunk, belligerent, loud, and inappropriate 4. Lack of cleanliness (old tissues & trash stuffed in the seat pocket, trash on the floor, looked like throw up in our aisle-our entire aisle asked to move seats) 5. Stewardess speakerphone so loud It was painful"
Cons: "Never told about the 40 usd"
Pros: "Professional staff, flight left and arrived on time Appreciated the affordable direct flight between Philly and Chicago"
Cons: "Additional carry on fee made me change what I could pack However, I felt this policy was well-communicated through the check-in process and at the gate"
Pros: "The plane was clean and the flight was efficient."
Cons: "I don't like being nickeled and dimed. You have to pay for even a can of pop or juice, and I'd rather just pay the few extra dollars in the up-front flight costs and be able to choose what I'd like to drink."
Cons: "Everything cost!!!! you had to pay for carry ons, snacks etc!!! This airline is a rip off!!! I will never fly this airline AGAIN!!!!"
Pros: "The price. Ok for short flights only."
Cons: "It is an Airbus, but a bus is more comfortable. The seats are hard and cramped. The base price may be great, but be aware they charge for extra for everything including carry-on if it does not fit under the seat."
Pros: "The staff at the airport was outstanding. The prices were great. Pilot gave constant updates on why we weren't taking off. Yes, we were quite late in our departure but it was not the fault of the airlines."
Cons: "The flight attendants were not the friendliest."
Cons: "Getting nickeled and dimed for everything from carry-ons to seats to drinks. Uncomfortable seats"
Pros: "Crew was friendly, and we got in early. That being said, the seats are bare bones (tiny table, no reclining, armrest doesn't fold up flush with the seat), and my bag didn't make the flight. Drinks, snacks, and carry-on also all cost money, which isn't so fun."
Pros: "I was unable to enjoy anything about this flight and airline."
Cons: "Poor communication. Poor service on flight. Poor flight attendee attitude. I did not enjoy any part of this flying experience. Not only was I not able to check in using a mobile pdf, but there was no mention of that being an issue prior to standing in the long security line before being turned away, and told Frontier was the only airline who was unable to scan a pdf. I nearly missed my flight. I paid $60+ each way for my bag and seat which i found to be ridiculously over priced! Seats were awful, and were only accommodated with water as a beverage option."
Pros: "I like that the flight got me to my destination in a timely manner."
Cons: "My dislikes are as follows:flight attendents are not as friendly as they use to be; you can't get a refreshment or bag of peanuts w/o paying an outrageous price (it use to be free); the luggage cost just as much as a plane ticket; a carry on (once free) now cost moe than luggage; and the seats no longer recline. I will probably be seek another airline in the future."
Cons: "The stewardesses were rude. They had terrible manners, and called the police on one passenger who was not being unruly, but who questioned them so they continually harassed him."
Pros: "The flight cost was cheap, but was never informed that carrying on a bag I would have to pay for it. Wasn't aware that I would also be charged for selecting my seat. Beverages, including water, and food were also not included in the cost, and were relatively expensive. I used the app to check in 24 hours before my flight. I arrived at the airport and wanted to double check that I was checked in for my flight because I felt uneasy about it. The women at the check in said the mobile app does not count as a boarding pass and etc. So I needed to wait to be checked in. While getting in line to board the plane, a couple infront of me had their boarding passes on their phones and had no problem boarding with the app. I think there was a little miscommunication with the app and workers."
Pros: "Good price for ticket. Plane boarded quickly and left and arrived on time."
Cons: "Frontier "nickle dimes" you to death. Charge for seat, charge for luggage, charge for something to drink. Add it all up and I'm not sure it is any cheaper."
Pros: "We got to my destination"
Cons: "Delayed 1.5 hours because of "computer systems failure" on the way there; delayed 3 hours because of "computer systems failure" on the way back. Both delays sitting on tarmac. Staff rude and flustered. Don't forget about hidden baggage and seat booking fees. This will be my final Frontier."
Cons: "We were delayed"
Cons: "Delayed with no information given. No charger ports."
Pros: "Not charged for my bag"
Cons: "This is my 5th time flying frontier and I have never had a flight board or take off on time. This one was an hour and a half late but it tells you that the flight is "on time"."
Pros: "Good service and very informative"
Cons: "They explain to me with details about the carry on rules."
Pros: "The only good thing I experienced was we boarded the flight at a timely manner."
Cons: "i bought my round trip ticket for $65. It ended up being $140 with cost of checking bags and the hidden fee of having to pay for your seat. Not sure why I had to pay an additional $13 each way for my seat. Shouldn't that be included in the $65 ticket price? I could understand if I wanted stretch seating, but for non-stretch seating I had to still pay. Not to mention on the way back to Philly we were delayed for over 2 1/2 hours on the runway. They said initially it was due to computer glitches. Then they told us we needed to go back to a gate to pick up two pilots who missed this flight. That took over and hour for a available gate to open up. Then when the pilots finally boarded we had to now refuel the plane. Apparently, the fuel guy went home for the night, so they needed to find someone else to refuel the plane. It was just one joke after another. We were suppose to land in Phily at 11pm est. Instead we landed at almost 1:30am. A lot of us had to work the next morning or had people picking us up from the airport. I live in Delaware and I didn't get home until after 2:30am. They sent us a $25 voucher towards our next flight with them. Only $25? That will only cover the price of your checked bag one way. Also, on the way to Chicago one of the flight attendants, I believe his name was Reynoldo, was very disrespectful. He spent most of the flight talking to this one family. He ended up telling the one son about how he should never get tattoos because he will never go anywhere in life, and people who get them are stupid and just want to ruin their lives by getting tattoos. Now, I fully understand getting tattoos is a choice, but both my husband and I have respectable jobs. We both have tattoos and that has never gotten in the way of us getting a job. I did not appreciate listening to this for a good period of time. He didn't seemed to care who might be on the flight around him and offended by him. So, all and all I don't know how likely I'll ever fly Frontier again."
Pros: "Clean new airplane, communicative crew, seem to know a lot of the regulars. Flight left on time and was was very smooth."
Cons: "When we got to Chicago, had to wait on Tarmac for 40 minutes to get a gate."
Pros: "Crew were helpful"
Cons: "People are not cattle. Airline profits make flying comfortably a thing of the past. This flight was no different."
Pros: "The flight attendants were really nice, funny, and attentive. They were great."
Cons: "I think it is insane that the overweight charge is double. The baggage fees are insanely expensive and the seats are so close together on the plane you feel like you are sitting in each others lap. Considering how many passengers they have on the plane and how much money they make show how horrible the baggage fees are because clearly they are making profit. Also, you can't even get water without paying for it. Everything here costs, this is why I will continue to fly with Southwest and I will never fly with this airline again."
Pros: "Flight departed on schedule and arrived before scheduled. Attendants were courteous and helpful."
Cons: "Very cramped seating. Was OK for short flight, but would be very uncomfortable for longer flights. $3.00 for a drink of water!"
Pros: "Price Crew"
Cons: "Seats dont recline Not even a bottle of water provided"
Pros: "Crew was friendly."
Cons: "Late 4.5hrs, several false "we're boarding now". No communication of what the issue was. No in-flight service, even a soda wasn't free. Never again."
Cons: "I thought I had checked in to the flight earlier in the day. When I arrived at the check in counter to see if another flight was available, the only other option would have gotten me there after 2 stopovers. I was headed to a wedding and had to make the rehearsal dinner. The woman at the Kayak counter suggested that I try to get a new flight with a different airline. I did, and transferred airports. The next day, I received a note that my entire itinerary was cancelled because i had missed one leg of my trip. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with the help desk (who were very nice, but wouldn't budge) i was unable to get anywhere. Then, I had to buy another one way flight home to make it to work the next day. I will never fly Spirit again."
Pros: "At one time I excused the consistent lack of customer service. I overlooked feeling simply like a number, for price but I was sadly wrong. Worse customer service on the planet..."
Cons: "I arrived at 5:40 stood in line not knowing more check in machines one the other side of where the customers stood. (Had the agent focus on us instead of being on the phone). Had check in on the drive there got there and was told I need two check in prior to 40 min of my flight. I said mam it's 5 min after if You try help me I'll make it. She sent me to another line, then they sent me to another line so he could say no refunds I should have read the fine print..... KICKER TO ALL THIS I MISS MY AUNTS FUNERAL AND THAT FLIGHT WAS DELAYED ONE HOUR... if they had pretended to do some customer service I'd have made my flight and her funeral."
Cons: "Was told the only flight I would be guaranteed a seat on to Chicago was not until 36 hours later- So I bought a new ticket on a different airline to go home."
Pros: "I liked the easy boarding process. The crew was very polite. It was an easy, smooth flight."
Cons: "I am 5'3 and I only had a few inches between my knees and the back of the seat in front of me. Not super comfortable but my flight was only 2 hours so it was manageable."
Pros: "I picked my seat beforehand and it was a big, comfy seat. Flight was on time and smooth. Nice crew members"
Cons: "I dislike that you can't even get water without paying for it. Offer a little something!"
Pros: "The crew was very nice, jovial, made a lot of jokes and kept it light. The airplane, upon boarding, was clean. That's the best I can say about Spirit."
Cons: "Spirit has lower costs, but at a price. To check a bag is another $50, and $55 to carry it on, and while you can get discounts on this if you sign up to be an awards member with Spirit and manage it PRIOR to your flight, this was not explained anywhere in my original booking. Food and beverages are SO overpriced - it's clearly a major profit center for Spirit. The plane was not comfortable. Very tightly crowded, seats do not recline, no back pockets for storage, no entertainment or WiFi - bare bones comfort. At the Las Vegas airport, we waited in line to check our bags at the Spirit counter (the only option for bag checking) after signing in at the Kiosk for over 40 minutes, and at 45 minutes until our flight was about to take off, finally took our boarding passes so we could go through Security. If Security had been busy, we would have missed our flight. This was NOT handled well as they kept calling other flights to "jump" the line. Basically, Spirit touts a lower-cost airline for a small downgrade in comfort. In reality, it is a very SLIGHTLY lower-cost airline with a major downgrade in convenience and comfort. I will not be selecting Spirit again."
Pros: "Jan 2 flight was cancelled due to crew issues. Spirit refunded me and said I would have to find another flight with another carrier. They could not get me to Chicago till Jan 5 which was unacceptable. As soon as I use my mileage points I am done with spirit. They don't leave on time and this has been going on for years"
Cons: "The seats were much more confined than flight to phoenix, I asked if I could occupy empty seats behind me, I was told no by flight attendant, medical purposes, yet one of them occupied during flight. I was very uncomfortable and in physical pain afterwatd, I will pay more $$ next time for extra room in other airline. I was also charged twice for reserving carry on luggage. Paying extra to eliminate these factors will be worth it too me."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Rip off airline...not worth the cheap price to then pay $55 for a carry on bag...plus you have to pay for drinks on the plane."
Pros: "Price of ticket"
Cons: "Primitive boarding procedure nearly caused us to miss the flight. Kiosks won't print your boarding pass within 45 minutes of your flight time, even if you are checked into your flight. And Spirit does not permit you to use a boarding pass on your phone, you must waste natural resources & print. Unfortunately, we had a problem while returning our rental car, so we were later to the kiosk than planned. So, we had to wait in line to ask an employee at the counter to print out boarding passes. Thanks to the kind passengers of LAX airport letting us jump in line several times, we made our flight just as doors closed."
Pros: "Cheap"
Cons: "We were delayed over an hour, with no support at the gate to explain why or let us know when we would be leaving. Incredibly frustrating, as I booked this flight (instead of another airline) for the departure time. Would have rather used another airline.."
Cons: "Staff was scolding people for minor errors on their part, which was unnecessary. Overall the flight was unpleasant because the staff kept waking people up around me, which in turn woke me up several times."
Cons: "First of all Kayak and everyone else oversold the flight. So even though I bought the ticket last week and showed up over an hour early when I got on the flight there were no seats, the seat they said they gave to me 19A was filled with another passenger with a ticket saying 19A so they also did not know what they were doing. The crew told me to sit anywhere, but three of us ended up having to get off the plane. I ended up being stuck in Los Angeles and missing a million $ meeting. No appology, no credit for future flights was made or even attempted by the crew. I'm considering a lawsuit to be honest unless some very quick and good service is provided. The crew was rude and stressed and all about leaving on time. HORRIBLE."
Cons: "We thought we found a great price for a quit trip to visit our new niece. We were totally wrong. Spirit charged us more than then the industry norm for a checked bag. I had tried to check it in early online but their mobile functionality doesn't handle payments. So that was $50. When we arrived they were highly disorganized and it wasn't clear what line to get into. Let's just assume that's just part of an airport experience. We get to the gate, and see that the flight has been delayed an hour. We decide to hang out there and learn over the intercom that the flight was delayed 2 more hours. Did they update the screen? Nope. Less than 20 minutes later they were boarding. It gets better though! After partly boarding the flight, they made everyone get out. We were grounded for a long time before and after landing without adequate information from the pilot on why or for how long. Finally when it got to the point I was going to pass out they wouldn't give me water because "I had the entire flight to make a purchase." Never again!! Never!!!"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "I could not check in using my phone. Had to log onto a computer to sign in online. Was not given my flight info, had to call for it because the online log in said "no itineraries found" when I did have a flight so I had to call and be on hold for 20 minutes before someone would email me my itinerary. Seats do not go back. Flight pricing, I felt tricked and like I was scammed. Nothing is included. Everything is so expensive."
Pros: "Flight arrived early."
Cons: "Spirit is hands down the worst airline I have ever flown on. We thought we had found a steal of a flight for $180 from Philadelphia to Ft. Lauderdale until we found out that they literally charge you extra for every single other thing. Just to pick our 2 seats round trip cost us another $56. Checking bags both ways was another $168. Then while checking in, we were charged $30 for an "overweight" bag. Every single other airline has a 50 pound limit, but once again spirit found a way to be cheap and sub-par with a 40 pound limit. Luckily we managed to avoid their $100 carry on fee for if your bag doesn't meat they're incredibly small limit. Oh and their app, which every single other airline allows you to download for free, is $5. Once aboard the plane, the seats are made of hard plastic with barely any cushioning and the seat back tray won't even hold anything larger than a beverage. There is also no on-flight entertainment offered. This has been a learning experience to say the least. Suffice to say, I will never fly with Spirit Airlines again. They are incredibly cheap and try to nickel and dime you for every little thing. 2 thumbs WAY down."
Cons: "when we were "checking in" it was difficult to add seats and add carry on luggage. also there were hidden fees we were not aware of at time of booking the flight. like paying for a seat, i thought that was covered by purchasing a ticket, & when do you need to pay for carry on luggage. i felt that spirit was "nickel & dime" the entire time."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very friendly"
Cons: "Just terrible, cheap airline"
Cons: "Unable to use TSA precheck. Since I was unable to pay for bags while on the Jayak site, I had to pay $10 more later on the Spirit Air site"
Pros: "I did not like any part of the experience. I love you kayak but please do not offer spirit airlines flights! They are truly terrible."
Cons: "Really dreadful! This airline is insanely riddled with hidden fees. They will charge you for every breath you take. By the time I was finished with paying the fees my flight had gone up by $100! Absolutely deplorable! I really enjoy kayak for the financial liberty it allows me and this Spirit airlines ripped it away from me. Not to mention none of these fees are mentioned before I purchased the flight! For god sakes buying a ticket doesn't even guarantee you a seat! I absolutely understand that every airline has extra fees, but Spirit was an insane outlier. I was charged for a Carry-on. A CARRY ON! Never again! Tisk tisk kayak!"
Cons: "The flight to Chicago was delayed 1 hour. I had an horrible experience with the return flight, they first delayed it 2 hours, then 3 hours, then 4 hours... I spent 5 hours in the airport before I gave up on them and cancelled my flight back. I had to buy a ticket from another company.... Also the ticket price is misleading because they charge you for carry-on luggage (like 50 USD). During the flight they even charge you for water, which is free in other airlines :-("
Pros: "Nothing not even the price of my flight"
Cons: "Customer service, airplane, etc"
Cons: "I would never fly this airline again. I like to think I'm a pretty reasonable person when it comes to customer service, last minute changes, and things like that. Checking in was no problem. Our flight had already been delayed so I was prepared for a longer wait. As I sat there, the flight got delayed two additional times. Ok, no big deal, but when customers were asking why the attendants could not tell us. When asked a general time we would be boarding, people were told "when the captain gives us the OK." Finally, we boarded almost 4 hours later when the delay stated only 2 hours. The plane was OK, but the attendants were far from pleasant. I was OK with no Tvs, baggage prices, and all of that because I was aware beforehand, but the way the staff acted was completely disgusting. After finally getting Chicago, I waited almost 45 minutes for my bags. When I called my car to tell them the delay they replied that Spirit had been backed up all day. Why? No one really knew. On the way back from Chicago to Boston, the flight was set to board at 1:09 pm. The airport was extremely busy, so I did not get through security until about 1:40. I ran to the gate only to see that they hadn't boarded yet. No updated on their website of the delay and nothing sent to my email. We didn't actually board until about 2pm, and then had to wait an additional 30 minutes on the plane because one of the attendants was late getting on. So now, it is about 2:45 and we are finally taking off-originally scheduled at 1:54 with NO updates sent to the customers on the delay. No one explained the delay and no one could give a time when we would take off. A few people tried to call the airline to explain their concerns and were abruptly hung up on. The least Spirit could have done is listened to their concerns and gave an apology. I will never, EVER fly this airline, and I suggest you don't either."
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "The seats were too cramped together. They over priced the carry on luggage. The return trip from Houston to Philadelphia, I was in the airport from 5am until 11pm in the airport. In Houston, we spent 1.5 hours on the hot airplane with no AC then they deplaned and put us back on another plane for 1 hour and then those trying to get to Philadelphia were asked to deplane again. When about 10 of us got off this flight, they told us unfortunately there were only three seats available to Atlanta and then Philadelphia. I had to beg for one of the seats because I would have been fired from my job and I had patients already scheduled to see the following day. In Atlanta, I had to spend more money to eat dinner and wait from 4pm until 8:45pm when we finally boarded the air craft because it was constantly delayed every hour. Lastly, when I got to Philadelphia at 10:30pm I spent another 30 minutes filling paper work out because they lost my luggage and the other passage that flew with me as well. Spirits never even offered a food voucher or explained to us why everything was delayed or even apologized. It was a terrible experience."
Pros: "flight was on time"
Cons: "seats are too cramped. Passenger behind me kept kicking my seat the entire time (and she was a grown woman). People leaving the fight need to be told to be orderly. I had to calm down a verbal confrontation between two men because one guy try to rush from off from the back of the plane and bumped into another man. Crew did nothing, if I wouldn't have stopped the confrontation it may have gotten ugly."
Cons: "Could have done without the sales pitch for your credit card. Had a layover so had to listen to it twice. Also, the price for the bags were over the top especially since the weight limit was 40 pounds."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "CARRY-ONS cost money. They cost more money if you don't buy them ahead of time. It costs extra to CHECK IN WITH AN AGENT. The airline is not upfront about any of this. These charges supposedly keep the cost of the ticket low: You only pay for exactly what you want (ie: if you don't have carry-ons, you can get away with paying less.). This is bullshit. They charge for WATER— tap water— on the plane. It is purely a money making scheme. They don't have repeat customers because they are awful. Oh and the seats are tinier than any flight I've ever been on. Truly the worst flying experience of my life."
Pros: "I thought it was fantastic all around. Traveling was easy."
Pros: "crew was excellent, but It is Spirit. The seats suck, leg room is non existent."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything, the staff was rude and unpleasing."
Pros: "Everything went smooth from check-in to end of the flight"
Cons: "No complimentary snack or soda. Seating was expensive and that you are not told about how much the seating or baggage fess are until you actualky check-in. Spent moremoney than i wanted too"
Pros: "Light rial Tran to mall of American"
Cons: "My 6:00 AM flight was cancelled but didn't find that out until I got to the airport at 4:45AM. The two options Spirit gives you is to put you on the next flight tomorrow at 6AM or refund your money. I was lucky to purchase a flight on an airline with a real schedule for later that morning. That flight was practically empty. It is a shame that Spirit doesn't have the customer service to accommodate it's passengers on to other flights. Low cost fares are appealing but more of a hassle than they are worth when the airline has little to no contingency plans. An I'm sorry and a $15 voucher can't get you back 24 hours of time or the money folks who choose low cost carriers have to waste on getting back and forth to the airport or spend on hotels in the area."
Cons: "It was the most cramped flight I've ever been on. I'm upset I have to fly home with spirit again on Tuesday."
Pros: "THE PRICE"
Cons: "I HAVE A BAD BACK AND I WAS CRAMPED AND COULD NOT REPOSITION MYSELF TO GET COMFORTABLE, ALL THE WHILE I WAS BEING KICKED IN MY BACK"
Pros: "Efficient in getting people on board"
Cons: "They broke my suitcase's wheels off and something was stolen out of my bag. When I went to the office in ORD, they told me to put in a claim and then ignored me, not helping me to put in a claim, continuing on their conversation about what they're doing when they get out of work. They wouldn't let me put in a claim."
Pros: "in-plane crew was efficient and unobtrusive."
Cons: "Plane landed late, taxied for later, and bags took over 2 hours to come out on baggage claim. some delays can be expected, but 3+ hour of delays without poor weather or any other noted special scenarios is absurd. No notices or apologies given."
Pros: "Excellent experience. It's always a good experience when the plane lands but to take a good thing to the level of excellence is not easy. Kayak and Spirit airlines are top-flight companies."
Cons: "I didn't know about Spirit airlines sooner."
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "everything was bad"
Cons: "Well, since the flight was canceled for no reason with a return option of flying home 3 days later (after New Year's Eve and New Years), I'd say my flight experience was pretty miserable. Finally managed to get on a late United flight and wound up paying an extra $300. I will never fly spirit again - too unreliable"
Cons: "No confirm numb. was sent. Disconnected 7 times in a row. Had to call back four times after they said the emailed it and still didn't get it. Fligh was canceled. No ather flight for 3 days. Not enough characters to go on."
Pros: "I was stuck in security for an inordinate amount of time and was two minutes late after the gate closure. I was refused and sent back to the ticket counter to rebook a flight that would cost twice the amount of the original ticket and arrive a day later. Spirit is the worst. Got a new flight on American Airlines for much less booked that moment and have gotten so much better customer service ever since. Yes, spirit is cheap but they are terrible with customer service. Never flying again with them."
Pros: "on time"
Cons: "fee for water and coffee"
Cons: "they were rude. unhelpful about retrieving my lost baggage. and after assuring me that i would be refunded ... they refuse to."
Cons: "Very disappointed. They misplaced my bag for the entire trip. Central customer service is very difficult to get a hold of (I have yet to get a hold of them) and the front desk staff is unaccountable and incredibly unhelpful. Will not be using Spirit in the future."
