An announcement was made that in Atlanta which is Delta hub, there were no flight attendants for the flight so we had to wait for another crew to fly in. That's just unporfessiknal. To make matters worse, the gate agents didn't make announcements even if just to say we know this isn't good and we will update you asap even if just to tell you we are still waiting on word. Total silence and seeing the gate agents laugh and talk amongst each other was pretty bad."

They handled it with grace giving each person their departing gate and asking everyone to let a gentleman off with a 10 minute connection. They made the flight memorably enjoyable."

My fight from San Juan to Miami on Friday Oct. 7 was cancelled because of hurricane Matthews, since I didnot buy a roundtrip with AA they did not reimburse or offer me a credit for my returning flight. I contacted AA in two ocassions and both times their personnel were impersonal and even rude to me with the whole situation. I ended up losing $250 because of choosing American Airlines. I will do my best to avoid traveling with American ever again, and I will spread the word, as well. I felt robbed, so unfair."

Pros: "My 17 year old daughter flew American Airlines to attend a wedding. She recently had spinal surgery and is not able to lift more than 5lbs. After being assured by the airline that staff would help her with her carryon luggage, she was abandoned and ignored by both flight attendants. Each flight attendant referred het to the next, so she is walking back and forth tor their amusement. Tears rolling down her face, finally an elderly passenger helped her. Then the staff gave her attitude the entire flight. She may appear healthy, but she was cut from her neck to her waist and had two rods inserted along with bone grafts. I just cannot believe how awful she was treated."

Sat at the gate for another 40 minutes. Finally departed. Everyone on boar missed their connections. I personally missed a whole day of my European vacation due to this error. Stuff happens from time to time but it would have been nice for them to have handled it better."

Cons: "The flight from Toronto to DFW was a basic experience. It was the last leg of a long trip, so our family did our best to sleep through the late flight. The only thing I noticed was a generally blasé attitude by the flight attendant when our toddler woke up to ear pain during descent. Her colleagues on the previous leg had been much more helpful. She wasn't rude - just left us to manage the crying, which we were fine to do for what I am sure felt like an eternity to fellow passengers."

I understand they have a tough job to do, but pushing past people who are in the process of getting out of their way (even holding a baby!) is uncalled for. This happened not once, but 3 or 4 times in the course of the flight to my traveling companion and me."

Pros: "This was my first time in Canada never been there before I had a great time until that one moment I had to deal with workers from air Canada except one agent at the ticketing desk....I had checked in online the day before however I had some card issues because they got shut down by my bank and due to the holiday in America I was unable to call my Bank prior to the airport....got to the airport and tried to explain that all I wanted to do was pay for my bag with cash ...but no one took the time out to listen each time i tried explaining myself I was send to a different location to join another line ....by the time I got to someone who was willing to listen my flight was closed ..her name was Aurora and gave me nothing but attitude when I explained my story......anyways finally got to ticketing and a met the only agent that day who exercise some level of customer service that day...if only I could remember her name ...sigh she went the extra mile because at this point I was frustrated and unsure if I would make it out of the country a sane person due to the amount of chaos I experienced prior. She got LISTENED .....SHE TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN...got me on a new flight and went above an beyond to assist me that morning I was on the verge of a breakdown at that point all other staff member was very disgusting not only to my self but the other individuals who had mishaps that morning."

Cons: "Checkin process has to be SERIOUSLY reviewed and improved, especially for International travelers. Our boarding passes printed in Okinawa had to be REPRINTED in Tokyo for some reason, and we narrowly avoided a huge line to wait into because staff mistakenly made us wait in the WRONG lane. Note: on the way to Okinawa 2 weeks earlier, we had similar poor experience, but we only had to wait 5 min in the wrong lane. Overall ANA staff is very nice, friendly and smiling, but seems to get overwhelmed and confused very easily, and take FOREVER to do simple tasks that their US counterparts do 3x or 4x FASTER. --> do more regular TRAINING of your staff at airport counters !"

While they rerouted others on the flight, they did not reroute us because we didn't check any luggage! Their reasoning was we had a chance to make the connection. But they made us wait in a line for 10 minutes to be told that despite our requests to go to the gate. By then it was too late. We then had to fly stand by to Chicago and stand by again to get to St. Louis."

Cons: "The Montreal airport is a zoo. I hoped it would be better than other places because it's smaller, but it wasn't. And I didn't fill out the correct customs form. The crew said that we should request a form from the USA if we were Americans, so I did. I have filled out that form many times, so I felt fine--until I got into the Customs area of the airport and learned that I needed to fill out a Canadian form too. So I had to do that before picking up my luggage. You would think that an Air Canada crew would know which forms I had to fill out and give them to me or at least ask questions so that I could be prepared when I went into the incredibly complicated maze to go through customs."

Pros: "Really enoyed the personal entertainment system. 12 hours is a long flight and the entertainment really helped pass the time away. It was fun seeing the flight status on the monitor and watching movies. We were fed very well. I believe we had 3 meals and a snack. Attendants came by to see if we needed more to drink too."
Cons: "It was a huge plane with about 500 people on board. Not a lot of space for getting up an walking much. Not a lot of space between seat rows. I guess that's just the way things are. Had a huge issue with checked baggage [see below] but don't know which airline was at fault although the AIr Canada employee who checked our baggage in Washington, DC said we wouldn't see our bags again until we arrived at Hirochima, our final destination."

Cons: "Food was mediocre Entertainment movies outdated"

Pros: "Didn't have much good with air canada. Some of the worst customer service I've experienced. Flight was fine."
Cons: "Boarded an hour late, made us miss our layover even though they said they were holding our following flight to Tokyo. The both of us along with 10 others on our flight got to the gate 10 minutes after the flight was supposed to leave and they wouldn't let anyone on. Missed the first day of our honeymoon trip along with unrefundable hotel fees. I travel a lot and never had an experience like this before."

Cons: "Delayed"

Pros: "The staff at Toronto were very professional"
Cons: "We have not received our luggage. We have been told it was given to transportation company and nothing yet. Called back and told company did not have drivers to deliver! We were assured luggage would be with us on the next day flight after being put up by airline."

Pros: "Great airplane service, people and amenities"

Pros: "Boarding went smoothly. I liked that I could choose an exit row seat when I checked in and didn't have to pay extra. The crew was friendly. The plane seemed nice and new"
Cons: "The leg room was a bit tight, and the guy behind me kept putting his knees into my back. I don't know if it was poor seat design or what, but he wasn't particularly tall."

Cons: "My bags were lost and no one would give me contact information for how to track them down. The only number I was give has not had anyone answer after I have called many times over the last several hours"

Pros: "Fast and easy check in"

Pros: "The seat was relatively spacious, especially compared to United. Staff was friendlier too."
Cons: "Too many announcements"

Cons: "Food offerings were really mediocre and poor quality. For the staff and crew, I did not get the feeling that they had a service oriented mentality in their communications and attitude. It felt more like I was being processed- just one of any number of faceless people that needed to be dealt with as quickly as possible."

Cons: "Week long convention and showed up 2 hours early. Fell asleep at the gate. Last flight of the night and I was the ONLY person around. None of the 5 staff members thought to wake the middle aged lady asleep by herself. Woke in a panic and they said my flight left a few mins ago. Said they paged me. When I took off my hearing aids they all stood there stunned. They put me on the next flight home 12 hours later. Asked for my bags, no one took them off the plane. Against policy and illegal. Had to sleep at the airport. Very poor experience with the Air Canada staff in Las Vegas."

Cons: "Slow boarding. No space for carry ons. Leg room less."

Pros: "flight was mostly empty so I can go sit somewhere else"
Cons: "I am only 6 feet tall, and my legs do not fit in those seats there is not physically enough room between the back of the seat and the back of the next seat for my legs to fit there"

Pros: "Not much to like."
Cons: "We flew Air Canada Rouge both to Maui and returning. On the way out, our plane had a "fuel pump" failure and we had to sit on the tarmac for almost 2 hours. On our first attempt at a return flight, we were delayed because they were missing a flight attendant. After she showed up, we were told that a seal on the plane was leaking hot air onto the fuel tank, and we were likely not leaving the airport that night. They kept us at the gate for hours because there was a (and I quote) "1% chance we could get the part from another island, but don't count on it" The time for them to legally keep the pilot and attendants came and went, so they all left... but we were still kept at the gate. The plane left the gate and STILL AC Rouge wouldn't officially cancel the flight, because then they would have to put us up in hotels. So no crew, no plane, and all of us sitting at the gate at 2 in the morning waiting for some guy in some mainland city to call and tell us we could leave. FINALLY, the call came in, and we spent another hour and a half waiting in line to get hotel vouchers. The next day, when we actually got on the plane, my brother in law sat down to all of a sudden receive a fountain of water pouring on his head from the ventilation system. When he asked if he could get some tape or something to plug the leak of water, the stewardess told him that they are not allowed to put tape anywhere. So he stood there with a waded up paper towel. Oh, and there was puke on my seatbelt. Sure , it is a budget flight. But I am paying less for not having a meal, cramped seats, and minimal service... NOT an unsafe plane that is literally peeing on our faces for being dumb enough to choose this airline. Congrats, Air Canada Rouge for our worst flight experience. Get some planes that aren't falling apart."

My checked was only 3 lb over the 50 lb limit. United actually made me take 3 pairs of dirty jeans out & carry them with me in a Target shopping bag! Ridiculous!"
