Apparently JetBlue has a quota to meet as to how many people they charge for carry on luggage. 2. Refused to allow me to request my seat ahead of time to try and charge a $50 fee for an upgraded seat, even though by purchasing a ticket, I am guaranteed a seat on the plane. 3. Late once again. So far every flight taken by JetBlue this year has been late. My only on time flight this year has been with Delta. I do believe they are the new Spirit Airlines in disguise. This airline has been moved to the bottom of my list. I may take them once more but it depends on how many points I have with them, if it's enough to cover a free trip. If it doesn't, I will forfeit as the aggravation and nasty behaviour at the check in counter especially at LaGuardia is too much to take. They are also every discriminatory at that airport also, especially the people who work at JetBlue. I have to take responsibility for keep trying. It the same as beating a dead horse and expecting it to get up and run."

THen I asked for a pillow and blanket so I can support my head. I was told there was a fee for a pillow and blanket.??????? I said ok since I was looking for relief, and comfort. She came back saying she was sold out. WTF"

Cons: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

There was no WiFi, and the audio system for the on board movies wasn't working. The flight attendants were only giving out cups of beverages and not the full can, which isnt a big deal but still looks bad on the airline considering everywhere flight with American has handed out full cans of soda. The perception was American dropped the ball on the his plane, and just didn't care to do the necessary maintenance. For the his head priced paid for the his hehe see tickets I would've expected better from a reputable airline. Needless to say we were a little disappointed."

The third announcement was the one I felt was highly inappropriate when she then stated "I DONT KNOW IF YOUVE BEEN WATCHING THE NEWS LATELY, BUT THERE IS NO WARNING WHEN THE TURBULANCE IS GOING TO GET WORSE" frankly I have been watching the news lately and there is plane CRASHES on the news. My husband is afraid of flying and that announcement was terrifying, even for someone who is not afraid to fly. There has to be some sort of protocol of verbage to use when the turbulance is getting bad, because to insinuate the plane could crash to get your point across is crossing the line. I have been on planes where the turbulance is a lot worse and felt this was really out of line."

FROM SFO TO CANCUN: First of all, the check-in procedure is very quick these days. At SFO, there is a curb-side check in, which also allows customers to pay the baggage fee and drop off the bag right there. I've used this in the past during busy airport hours. This time, I flew overnight, so I used the self-check kiosks in front of the check-in counters to check-in, pay the baggage fee, and print my ticket. I used the check-in line to check in my suitcase. The line was so minimal and moved so quickly, (as did security), I was at the gate in 30 min (from the SFO BART station). I rarely fly United because the check-in lines used to be very long and slow. In the past, I've missed more than one flight due to extraordinarily long check-in lines. I'm glad to see on the last 3 flights I've taken with United, this has changed for the better. FROM CANCUN TO SFO: I was happy to see that Cancún also has kiosks for self-check-in. It wouldn't allow me to check my bag, though, and I had to wait in a slow line to do so. Still, a much improved check-in compared to past experiences. *I should note: the slow line had 8 people in it and took 25 minutes. With many people, United Cancun lines have been known to take over 2 hrs. This was a Thursday afternoon on January 8. I'm not sure what the line would have looked like the Saturday before . . . BOTH FLIGHTS: The stewardesses did come by several times (as opposed to once on other airlines), offering water, which was appreciated. Finally, United tends to offer multiple flights at cheaper prices and more convenient times than other airlines. However, I still prefer flying other airlines - despite the increased cost - for the reasons below."
Cons: "United planes are older, outdated, and very small. The video system on the back of the headrest in front of me did not work on either flight (there or back), and no snack of any kind was offered on the afternoon 4.5 hr flight back from Cancun to SFO. A mini bag of salted peanuts were offered on the overnight flight from SFO to Cancun. But these were the least of my concerns. Deplaning was slow and long when we arrived at Cancun. We waited with the plane door closed, and the air off, for about 10 minutes. It was a hot, humid, uncomfortable wait. Deplaning took a long time due to the small, cramped seats (see description below). On the return flight to SFO, we waited on the runway in line with other planes. While this is not the fault of United, it did make passengers more anxious to deplane. Opening the plane doors took a long time, and exiting the plane even longer because people were slow getting out of their seats and recovering their bags from the storage bins. I saw people struggling to crab-walk out to the isle on "dead legs" (the floor space between seats is so minimal, no one can stand up straight, and must grab the seat in front of him/her to shuffle out to the isle - a difficult task for the elderly, or when carrying purses as big as carry-ons, sleeping toddlers, or babies). The seats were extraordinarily hard and small on both flights. I fit in the seat just fine, but had no leg space, and could not recline. In effect, I was forced to fly the entire time in an upright position, sitting on a rock-hard seat that felt like thin plastic-leather stretched over metal bars. I'm a young 40yr old traveler of normal size (5'4") and health (135 lbs), yet it was extremely uncomfortable sitting on that seat with no way to redistribute weight. I had pain in my legs for over 24 hrs after flying United from Cancun to SFO. I flew 6 round trips to Miami and Mexico City last year from SFO and never had this happen. I've flown to Peru and Miami direct - and much more comfortably - on other airlines. I will not choose a direct flight over 2 hrs on United again, and will continue to choose other airlines whenever possible."

I greatly appreciated everyone's effort to go the extra mile and the Mexican staff was beyond helpful especially since I was coordinating this all from the US with broken Spanish"
Cons: "Leaving SFO to Cancun, a horrible experience two day delay due to weather. No offer for even a toothbrush was given, no refund for any part of the tickets or costs of delays. I managed to leave the airport and return, waiting for several flights I was finally able to fly standby with a layover into Mexico DF and on to Cancun. Arriving three days later than my original plan. The most frustrating part was on the second morning people were being offered $500 and hotel rooms to give up their seats on an over booked flight yet no compensation or accommodation was offered for the delays I had been through. When asked point blank if I could have this same offer I was suddenly found to be able to fit on the next flight. Overall extremely flustered with united"

Cons: "I don't like being in Boarding Group 4 all the time. I don't fly United as often as I used to, but still it seems I should be able to get group 2 or 3 occasionally. I often have to travel with my suitcase carry on and it's difficult to insure I will get on at a decent time to get a space. My husband who rarely flies, but has a United credit card, gets Boarding Group 2 every time. This is frustrating to those who travel United still but can't seem to get a break on the boarding. It discourages us from flying United because of this approach. Charging for bags and boarding in the manner they do does not promote efficiency in the boarding process and only frustrates customers and discourages people from flying United. Changing their priorities would help both efficiency and make them a friendlier airline."

Also, my television on the seat back did not work, so I had to sit there in silence for the 4 hour flight."
Cons: "My original flight were CMH to ORD, ORD to FLL. First of all, it took 25.5 hours to get CMH to FL. Could not even landed at FLL, they send me at Tampa and I have to drive to Miami and took 5 hours after frying and waiting for 20.5hours. Finally, got in to Tampa, of course UNITED lost my laggege and they had no idea where it was. UNITED CREWS are not willing to help you. I am so tired to deal with UNITED and I do not recommend to my firends or family or anyone."

Guillermo Delgado is the most rude, demeaning, aweful person of any airline. When he wasn't roaming the line of ticketing agents kissing the female agents and flirting he was talking on his radio all the while the other agents were processing 10 customers or more to his one. Once we finally got to our turn he was rude and demeaning refusing to check are bags unless we paid him extra money despit being presented with out confirmation stating the first bag was included as it was an international flight. He demanded money under threat of arrest by Mexican police which he stated were his close friends. After buying the bag fees on my credit card he demanded additional funds in cash. Again under threat of arrest. He then stated he would not allow us to fly if we were not immediately compliant which we were. He finally gave us boarding passes and we escaped Mexico ... We will never return. We have traveled the world and never experienced anything like this."

Even though the flight attendants knew that the NY flight had been cancelled, they did not notify any of the passengers. There was plenty of time for this announcement, since the plane was on the tarmac for at least half an hour. Following this ordeal, the rebooking ticket line and phone service lasted for four hours. We were told that the first available flight out was three days from today. This is horrible customer service and we will not be flying with Spirit airlines in the future."

These are more expensive than any other airline I've flown with. I've never heard of an airline charge for carry on baggage which was very disappointing to say the least. This flight was a basic "no frills" trip, meaning that you get the bare minimum snacks, with a tiny seatback tray that isn't even big enough to hold an iPad. Won't be flying with Spirit Airlines again."

I have travelled abroad a few times and understand that customs can take a while, but the employees from Spirit that were trying to organize passengers entering customs were completely clueless about what they were doing. We ended up missing our connection and had to spend the night where we were. The only thing that was offered to us to help pay for the hotel was a voucher for the most expensive hotels in the area. Not only that but our carry-on bags cost us $200 for the entire trip, so make sure you take bag prices into account when flying with Spirit. Overall this was a very frustrating experience."

Lauderdale from Denver, I witnessed a male flight attendant being exceptionally rude to every person passing him while entering the plane. He then proceeded to belittle and talk down to each customer he talked to about moving jackets and correct placement of personal vs. carry on items. There was plenty of room in overhead bins once the plane was loaded. This flight attendant, talked to people as if we knew have rule he did and if they didn't he became aggressive and rude. At one point an older gentleman in his late 60's questioned what the rude flight attendant was saying and the attendant snapped. He screamed at the man and then threatened to have him removed for challenging what he said. I was afraid to ask for water or to even stand up because of how your flight attendant responded to an honest question. I have been flying for 30years and have never experienced such vile behavior on an airplane. The male flight attendant had brown hair was around 6ft tall, not big but not in good shape and wore glasses. I hope that he never is able to threaten people in flight again. The atrocious behavior i witnessed, has me never wanting to fly with spirit again. On the way home from Mexico, our flights were timed 1hr apart but yet it took 2+ hrs to go through customs. Do to this poor planning on behalf of spirit, we missed our flight and had to spend another unexpected night in Florida. I incurred charges for taxis, hotels, expensive food and missing work. When I spoke with spirit staff members they refused to help. One suggested I should pay money for a new flight. Its took me 5 employees to finally find someone who offered to fix the flights for the next day for no extra cost. I was offered no compensation for my inconvenience and time."

Glad that I had purchased juice prior for my flight home. Your Website and availability to speak with a live person, leaves little to be desired. Not user friendly and for many seniors who are not comuter proficient could be an issue. Was unable to fly direct or even with 1 stop that was affordable. Left Cancun at 11:50 amand didn't get home till 1 AM. 3 legs Baggage rules are unreasonable, another reason for not purchasing gifts of plates, bowls or anyting that one could carry on with another airline."

Cons: "The seats are not comfortable - after a 2 hour flight my butt fell asleep, and no way to shift around unless you are willing to be rude to the people next to you or in front of you, since you're packed in like sardines. Have to pay to reserve a seat even though you have already paid for your flight, unless you want to risk not being seated next to your travel partner. Drinks are more expensive than at the airport bar, and the "bundles" only save you a couple bucks. Bags are really expensive (even prepaid), and the threshold for checked is 40lbs instead of 45-50 like most, so since I was 2 pounds over, I had to pay an extra $30 on top of what I had paid for the bag already. No wifi, so bring a book or laptop/tablet with movies loaded on it, or some other entertainment. The initial fare pulls you in for looking super cheap, but after you add bags and seats and all that, it's really not much cheaper than a Southwest flight. I'd rather pay the extra for a more comfortable seat, wifi, and no stress on whether I packed the wrong clothes that will raise my bag weight that extra pound."
