I never got to Cabo. It took 2 hours for Delta to de-ice the plane in Milwaukee. Because of the long delay we missed the flight to Cabo. We asked Delta to book us on another flight to get us to Cabo today, Delta reps said nothing was available. Delta gave us a discounted coupon for a hotel in Atlanta and rebooked us on a flight to Cabo tomorrow.
On time flight arrival
Baggage Claim was very disorganized. They indicated bags were to be picked up at a carousel that was under construction. When we went to the service desk, they directed us to another carousel which was incorrect. There was no announcement made and there was a delay in updating the baggage claim board.
The flight was on time and the arrival was early
Terrible customer service both on the phone before the flight, but Especially from the gate agent. Wow she was really horrible.
The flight attendants on board were good! They helped get everything straight. Easily could have been handled by the incompetent gate agent. Wow.
It’s was the best flight in my life
My departing flight was cancelled due to weather and the only alternative flight offered was 7 days later. I offered to travel to a nearby airport to fly to the same destination 8 hours later, but was told I would be charged a $800 change fee even though I could buy a new one-way ticket for $400. So I bought a new one-way ticket. Then Copa told me that because I would miss the original connecting flight in Panama (which was impossible to reach because they cancelled the first flight) they would cancel my return flights. They forced me to pay $400 extra on top of the full return fare for just a one way flight, while leaving me to pay for another one way fare at the last minute.
As a non-Spanish speaker we felt well cared for.
There was a second security check before passengers could enter the gate. No drinks were allowed past. I was thirsty before and during my flight.
They oversold the flight, so twenty minuted before the plane I found I out they were not giving me a seat and that I had to fly in a plane 14 hours later!!!
I flew business class. Having extra leg and seat room made a huge difference in my comfort. The staff on both the flight down and on the flight back were wonderful. I have mobility issues and they made sure I could safely get up to the restroom and to stretch my legs when I needed to. I will definitely fly Copa again.
