Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "The pilot was amazing"
Pros: "Amazing view"
Cons: "Warning about what to take from carry-on, since it wasn't available during flight"
Cons: "Bumpy ride. Blame it on the wind."
Pros: "Super nice!"
Pros: "Easy going nice"
Pros: "Cape Air never disappoints. A great option other than driving . Not to mention a great value"
Pros: "I flew in from Houston, TX to visit family in Sharon, VT. The closest major airports are Boston and Manchester and both are several hours away. For a few extra bucks, I can fly to Lebanon, NH thanks to Cape Air and save my family members hours and hours of driving. Very convenient. The Cape Air staff and pilots are always super friendly!"
Cons: "The plane can be kind of loud; it is certainly a good idea to pack hearing protection."
Pros: "Quick flight. Excellent service."
Pros: "Considering I was a bit scared flying on a small plane my pilot was excellent. I enjoyed this flight so much. It was spectacular!"
Pros: "Excellent woman taking care of a delayed flight. Handled passenger and boarding process as well as check in beautifully and so kind and efficiently!!"
Cons: "The delay due to mechanical problems"
Pros: "Got to sit next to the pilot!"
Cons: "Nothing, it was an absolutely breath taking flight!!"
Pros: "All except TSA check"
Cons: "TSA check for domestic flys"
Pros: "Friendliest flight crew, airport attendants and security agents anywhere."
Pros: "Being the co-pilot"
Pros: "Got a shuttle from the plane to my terminal at STL. Very convenient."
Cons: "Rather loud, but I don’t think there was much the airline could do about that. Maybe earplugs."
Pros: "The View was spectacular. The plane was a little bit too smelly."
Cons: "The View was beautiful"
Pros: "You see there was a terrible storm that closed the EIS Beef Island Airport. But because I booked through ya'll I was totally screwed. The individual Airlines are not permitted to rebook my ticket because you are a third party carrier. and You would not rebook because the airline could not change the flight status on the first plane from Mayaguez to San Juan - that flight was not cancelled due to the closure but because I would be stuck in San Juan for possibly 2 days with no money and no where to sleep, well you get the point. So InterCaribbean and Cape Air came to the rescue and after a 4-5 hour ordeal and having to travel to Mayaguez airport I am now rebooked."
Cons: "Y'all and will never ever ever book through a third party again."
Pros: "Friendly & informative pilot, smooth efficient ground crew: they didn't bang up my vintage Levi's back pack..."
Cons: "No complaints...A+"
Pros: "My first time on a such small plane and the ride and the landing were very smooth with great views!!"
Pros: "Shirt flight no food, but bumpy. I almost threw up on a 25 minute flight"
Pros: "Hate crew diligently kept me informed of my bag connecting from my 45 minute late "on time" united flight."
Pros: "Still Stuck in Nantucket. Cape Air cancelled my flight and then didn't put me in another. I'm still stuck in Nantucket."
Pros: "The flight itself was nice"
Cons: "Being delayed and the process of dealing with the delays was a real headache"
Pros: "I sat in the copilot seat since plane was so small."
Cons: "Delayed so I missed my connection in Boston. I ran to catch it but the door was closed and they wouldn't let me on, even though plan was still sitting at the gate. I had 8 min to spare."
Pros: "Got me to Boston, eventually, safely. Nice view from low altitude. Plane provides for an intimate experience with pilot and fellow passengers"
Cons: "2.5 hour delay with no information or confusing information about departure prospects."
Pros: "I love the small planes and the overall friendliness of the pilot and the other employees - reservationists, ground crew, and others in the terminal. Once I landed in Nantucket, I had a 1 1/2 hour layover to Hyannis. When I went to check in with the reservationist, she asked if I wanted to get to Hyannis faster or if I had business on the island. I said I would like to get to Hyannis as quickly as I could, so she put me on the next flight which left within 15 minutes. After a long flight from LA to Boston, then to Nantucket, and then to Hyannis, it was nice to get home earlier than expected. I live on the Cape, and I love that I can fly into Hyannis. Then I only have a 25 minute ride home."
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "Easy, painless and on time!"
Cons: "Everything was great!"
Pros: "Flights across the east coast were delayed, luckily ours was only 15min late to take off."
Cons: "Landing crew in Boston was rude, bossy, and repetitively sciolding, just because I touched the door of the plane. No instructions nor to or warnings were posted, but he kept harassing me and the other passengers.about "our safety"."
Pros: "The flight itself was good, pilot was nice, I got to sit in the copilot's seat which was fun."
Cons: "At the Nantucket airport, they don't let you through security until your flight is called. I heard mine called and went up but the woman at the desk said she hadn't heard it so wouldn't let me through. Ten minutes later, I'm being paged over the intercom. Again, I wasn't let through until I tracked down someone from the airline. By the time I finally got through, my flight had gone and I needed to be rebooked. Incredibly frustrating as the intercom is the only way to know what's going on with your flight, so I couldn't look at a board or anything to know the status."
Cons: "My flight from Rutland to Boston was unexpectedly cancelled with very little notice. I could not reschedule my trip because I needed to catch a separate flight from Boston. My alternative was to drive there and stay the night in a hotel, which was expensive and frustrating. I will be calling for a refund."
Pros: "It is always a pleasure to fly with Cape Air. The staff especially in Owls Head are phenomenally nice and helpful."
Pros: "It was a brief, smooth, enjoyable flight."
Cons: "My checked suitcase weighing <30lbs. was not put on the plane because of a weight constraint (combined weight of passengers and their luggage). I collected my suitcase from the airport the next day. Of course, airplane safety is a must, but I saw others dealing with their luggage also having been "bumped". Traveling this way is unreliable and, for me, less than satisfactory."
Pros: "The flight was on time and it was a great flight on a nice sunny day! We arrived earlier than informed at the time of takeoff."
Cons: "Too expensive. 399 for a 40 minute plane ride? Really?"
Pros: "Great timing"
Cons: "The flight was cancelled because of engine trouble. As a result we miss our connecting flight to our final destination."
Pros: "Great pilots Flies where other airlines don't Quick check in"
Cons: "Booked a 8:30 AM flight VQS->SJU. At 10AM the night before received an email stating the flight "may have been cancelled." Called cape air, they confirmed cancellation but couldn't rebook me on another flight; went on their website and paid for another flight (10:04). The next morning for way of explanation told that "the plane broke." Got to the airport, initially the replacement flight was delayed till 10:30, then at 11:00 we were told that flight was also cancelled. Since we did not have a connecting flight we were placed at the end of the line. They did get us out later in the day, although i suppose because we were just squeezed in I was sitting in the back where I had to sit cross-legged as i only had about 4 inches of legroom. So 2 cancellations and poor communications on a round trip ticket = mediocre review. If I don't get my money back on the first flight I'll revise this to 1/5."
Pros: "They plain didn't crash although it sounded like that was likely when we were taking off."
Cons: "The lack of ear protection to cancel out some of the loudness of the small aircraft would have been REALLY nice."
Pros: "All aspects of the flight were smooth on a nice day and I really enjoyed flying at 7k feet. A lot of people don't like flying in small planes but I do. There is no bathroom, food or entertainment available and all of your bags go into cargo. I was the only passenger so it felt like a chartered trip. Arrived about 5 minutes early."
Pros: "I loved the whole experience."
Pros: "Great service and quick flight from Lebanon to White Plains. Super convenient and the crew was very friendly."
Cons: "taking off almost an hour late for a 20-minute flight. poor planning re weight restrictions so that luggage for several passengers had to be put on a future flight. no information given re delay."
Pros: "I'd probably pay for this flight as just an entertaining ride from above to see Puerto Rico."
Pros: "Good, efficient flight to Bar Harbor from Boston!"
Pros: "Great pilot!"
Pros: "There was no food or entertainment so you should include a column in the survey that reads: N/A Otherwise excellent pilot!"
Pros: "Crew is very friendly and the views are beautiful."
Cons: "This plane is an 8-seater, so no food, no drinks, no entertainment and no lavatory. Short flight, though, so not a big deal."
