The tickets we had purchased through Kayak were charged but not booked. Juan did everything in his power to get us on that flight. And when the kayak company failed to book in time Juan got us on the next available flight, being to sure to find us the best price and a direct flight, versus the one we had booked earlier. Sensible boarding procedure: last seats on the plane board through the rear exit, shorter boarding time without standing in the aisle while everyone tries to stuff their luggage into the overhead bins. Attentive but not intrusive flight attendants. When I forgot to stow my briefcase during landing, I got gently kidded instead of reprimanded. I have never had a bad experience with this airline in the 5 or so times I have flown with them. If I didn't have so many miles with another airline, I would use them all the time."

It would have been very helpful if the gate staff at LAX had advised me to not bother to try to make my connection, or called the next gate to tell them we were running over there. RUNNING. Or at least done something to act like they cared. I am disappointed by the lack of initiative. I understand flights cannot wait, and I would have greatly appreciated being saved the trouble of running to a different terminal and instead taking that time to change my travel plans. They may see travelers struggling like this daily, but to each traveler, a hiccup in travel plans trip is stressful and urgent. I ask Delta staff to please consider that when they come to work. Thank you."

Was in 1st class and didn't get beverage service after boarding. Then, the plane sat on a remote taxiway another 30 minutes before takeoff, fully loaded, no A/C, and still no beverage service. Truly miserable hot and sweaty flight."

Our flight was from NYC to PR 5hour long and in between those hours she let a couple sit together on the other empty rows while I was feeling supper sick. Other passengers notice and had told me that they felt sorry for me. I was Embarressed. I was debating on venting on Twitter just yet and also on this review because what difference does it make. What matters the most is that we all got to our destination safely."

Cons: "I couldn’t check in for my flights ahead of time because the check in system from United and Copa airlines didn’t accept my reservation details. My first flight from Sacramento to San Francisco with United was cancelled and I was not informed until I arrived at the gate for check in. United wanted to rebook me on a flight to Los Angeles and Newark which would have been a delay of 10 hours. After security I had to go to the gate of a delayed flight to San Francisco and ask that they put me back on my original itinerary"

Cons: "Won't let you check in in advance so they can give you a terrible seat for a 12 hour flight. They won't even let you check in from the point of departure if it's with one of their partners. They also will do everything in their power to not give award miles to pattern airline clubs. It doesn't matter if you give them your United number and even register your United number with the flight for United. They will apply it to the Lufthansa Club and pretend it was just in the state and never actually give you the miles no matter how many times you try. This is not from one experience with Lufthansa / Austrian. I've had this experience many times with every flight I take with these terrible Airlines. I would never fly lifthansa unless it's at least $200 cheaper than any of their competitors."

Pros: "Arrived 40 minutes early so can't be too sad about that especially since a gate was available immediately. Jet bridge in SF was heated but in Denver where it was colder and he had to wait it was not. The check in lady clearly did not care about her job at all I'm Denver. Frontier is a budget airline which for this trip worked for me as I was able to pack everything in a "personal item" and don't mind sitting in the back of the plane, I got lucky and got asigned a window seat. No drinks offeed without a charge which I don't agree with but again you get what you pay for. And it's way better than Spirit."

But after going to a farther away airport and paying for bags and seats and drinks and sitting in an uncomfortable seat, I am not so sure it was a great deal. I am happy that I did pay less than other airlines even with the cost of checking a bag (less cost than carrying one one) and for the seat. Because it is more costly to carry on a bag, hardly anyone did leaving lots of room in the overhead compartments and speeding up boarding and deplaning considerably. Snacks and drinks were reasonably priced and lower cost than in the airport. Only snacks like chips and beef jerky are available so if you want food, bring your own. Flight attendants were friendly. My bag arrived on the same flight that I did and it was in good condition. We were reasonably close to on time."

There was barely enough room between seats to force by backpack down to the floor and almost no room on the floor to hold it leaving me with no where to put my feet except on top of it. My legs are long and about 1/2 of my leg was not supported by the seat. This was manageable for a short flight but I would certainly not book a long flight with these seats. We spent considerable time on the tarmac waiting at both ends. I am not clear on the delay at the beginning of each flight. The delay at the end was related to Frontier only having 1 gate at each airport so we had to wait until it was free. Yes, we landed 20 minutes ahead of time, but we got into the gate 20 minutes late - meaning sitting on the tarmac for 40 minutes. Bags were slow to come up. Probably because everyone checked them so there were many."

After the plane left, an attendant assisted a passenger to rebook their flight, but then left to go on break and left 3 of us stranded. Very few Frontier attendants available to help us. Had to pay $225 for another same day flight to SFO using American Airlines. Learning points: - hard deadline, need to be at gate 10 mins before departure time - lofty and esoteric reimbursement process - Frontier does not participate in TSA Pre-Check, so arrive 2 hours ahead of departure time for domestic flights - Frontier does not participate in other airline organizations, so unless you rebook with Frontier you are paying full price for the new ticket"

You know what they said? The airline was so understaffed that day that they didn't have enough people to get the baggage up the ramp and onto the plane! THAT'S why we sat there for over an hour! As well, I have never been more crowded on a plane in my life. I am a thin woman of average height, yet I couldn't put a book in the seat pocket in front of me because my knees were already touching it. Bags cost money, Drinks, including coffee and soda, cost money. And no one on the crew ever smiled. I will never fly Frontier again."

By the time the flight was supposed to leave, flights were taking off from O'Hare without any problem. Next, they could not have been less cooperative in helping my find an alternative route to San Fran. After more than 2 hours of arguing with Frontier personnel, they magically found a way for me to get there via Denver. Finally, once I boarded the flight to Denver, the crew could not have been any less competent. I saw at least two instances where they had given away the seat of someone who had checked into the flight, then had to scramble to find them a new seat. Frontier is the worst."

The seats on these airplanes do not recline (which is frustrating for a 3.5 - 4 hour flight), drinks or snacks are not free, and most of the other passengers were rude and difficult. I would not recommend this airline for any flights longer than 1.5 hours."

I asked multiple TSA agents how worried I should be about making my Frontier flight and I was assured that I would have time to make it. After running through the A Terminal, I got to my gate and the doors were already closed and no agent was there. I feel let down by the TSA agents."

They should have been more vigilant at the start, or left the rest of us alone after the fact. Terrible understanding of customer service. Also, our flight arrived early, however, they didn't have the appropriate gate available. Poor planning as we knew we'd be early about half way through the flight. Would not fly again, not because of the disorganized gate business, however, there's a real lack of customer focus on this airline."

On frontier you can only take one personal item for free. carry on is $70 (35 one way) and checked bags are $60 (30 one way)...MORE at the airport. I also fault Kayak here, they don't compare apples to apples - united carry on bags are free.. I bought 5 checked bags (6 people flying), but we decided to just do a personal item in the end. Turns out you can only get bag refunds at the airport ticket office ..not online or by phone. The ticket agent said there was no guarantee we would get a refund, but she would put a note in our record. Hmmm....prepaid $300 for a service we didn't use and may not get refunded. Online check in tries to bully you into buying seats...you have to say no 3 times before they let you complete check in. That would have been another $120 for the 6 of us. The best for last. On the return flight home, we went to ticketing agent to get refund for return bags ( the outbound ticket agent would only put a note in our record for the outbound flight, so we had to stand in line again for the return flight). She told us there was a gate change and sent us to the international terminal (a different terminal than the rest of Frontier flights). She marked the new terminal on our tickets. We were at the gate for 45 minutes and realized there were only about 10 other passengers for our flight there. I tried to call frontier on the white airport phone. They just had a recording and told me to dial an 800 number. I was on hold for 20 minutes before i got a person who said he couldn't get me any information. The flight wasn't listed on the departures board in the international terminal we had been sent to, so finally we decided we'd better go to the original gate. We had to go to another termanial, go through security again, and found our flight boarding at the original gate. The woman who sent us to the wrong terminal was at original gate loading passengers, so she knew there had been a mistake. She said they had made two announcements. The trouble is, the announcements were not audible in the international terminal. I told her there were several other passengers at the wrong gate, one of whom was elderly and would need help making the flight, No apology, and when we continued to try to get help for the other passengers, they, told us to move away from the podium or they would call security!!! ARGH!"
Cons: "First of all, they charged me to check into my flight. My $131 ticket turned into $183 and I hadn't even checked in for the way back. Not only did I have to pay for a seat at check in, but I had to pay $40 to brin a carry on!!!! So what the heck did my ticket pay for?!?! Once I choked down the extra $53, I went to the gate and the flight was cancelled. The gate attendant offered a refund or to put me on a flight the next day. He wouldn't look at other airlines for me. The only nice thing they did was make the refund process easy on the phone, since I had to leave the terminal to find another ticket counter to help me. I will not be flying frontier. Ever."

So, I had to pay 90 dollars, which I didn't have, AND pay for snacks and a beverage, because nothing was open at airport at the time of my flight. The flight crew was mediocre at best, as the flight attendants didn't bother to greet anyone except for the only man in a business suit. If you're going to nickel and dime people, I think it better to charge a little more for everyone's ticket, instead of slamming them with hidden costs. Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth that even the 2 bucks a piece in-flight sodas couldn't wash away."

Cons: "My flight was pushed back multiple times. Finally they said we would board in 20 minutes. I went to grab a bottle of water. In the mean time the gate changed (I was never notified) and they boarded in less than ten minutes. Furthermore when I went to the gate agent to ask what happened I had never before been greeted from someone so rude and lacking empathy. I can't believe this person was in customer service. She was short, had one word responses for me, and offered no solutions to the predicament they had put me in by delaying my flight and then expedite boarding. When I finally spoke to her manager, he was helpful and a normal human. The gate agent should work in a stock room where she doesn't have to deal with humans."
Cons: "The fact my flight was delayed, they wouldn't let me check in after their computers froze at the airport and caused me to miss the one hour before cut off time limit to check in. They made me take a different flight the next day and charged me a $25 fee to do it all because they wouldn't check me in and therefore had to miss my flight. The fee for having a carry on bag is redic since they have the room like any other plane for it in the overhead compartment. My new flight the next day was delayed also (over 3 hours) so I took another flight so I didn't miss my event. Spirit then cancelled my return flight days later because I skipped the outbound flight, they auto cancel all of your future flights. So I then show up in the morning to the airport not knowing they cancelled my flight, they don't tell you in any way, stranded and told I have to buy another ticket back for almost triple the price. The story goes on and on, absolute nightmare. I wish I would have known or gotten a refund to ease the blow."

Cons: "It was not until I attempted to confirm my flight the day before leaving that I discovered carry-on bags were $40 one way. So, for one carry-on it costs the same as buying an extra seat almost. HIDDEN FEE! When I was confirming the flight, there were quite a few options which all cost EXTRA! No drinks or foods are free. Everything has a cost. HIDDEN FEE! In short, I suggest booking a ticket from an airline which permits at least one carry-on. I will never recommend this airline to anyone."

Cons: "When I got to the airport for a 7:40 p.m. flight back to Oakland, the board said the flight was delayed until just after midnight because of weather. So I went over to Virgin America, bought a ticket back tyo San Francisco.The Virgin flight left on time, and there were no weather issues with them. As I was leaving on the Virgin flight, I glanced at the board again--Spirit was now saying their flight would leave at 2 a.m. Next day I had to take BART over to Oakland to retrieve my car. I won't go out of my way to trash Spirit, but if anybody ever asks me about them I will say, "Low fares, high risk. You get what you pay for.""

Cons: "rushed to airport and got to check in 40 min prior to liftoff was told i was too late and out of luck...asked to speak to manager "Omaha" they wouldn't share his real name is that like a stripper name? I stressed the fact the plane was not scheduled to leave for 30+ min didnt matter i was laughed at and told to leave the desk area. I will never work with Spirit again and Kayak for that matter as id never used either before this horrible experience as i now sit for 8 hours waiting for another flight home to my family"
Cons: "Never buy tickets for Spirit Airlines on an aggregator. Spirit charges $50 for each carry-on bag, which is not included on Kayak."

Pros: "I love that you get flights for so cheap and you aren't stuck paying for amenities you aren't going to use. If you're like me you like to sleep through your flights or you already have music/movies downloaded on your tablet or phone. Why do I need to pay for an in-flight movie if I'm not going to use it? Also, I like that the staff is young and friendly. They're relatable considering most of my flight consisted of people under 40 and families. Plus, they run great specials on flights. I just picked up a flight to ATL from OAK for less than $100. You can't be that. Obviously I'll be flying with them again."
Cons: "Do not expect to get a big comfy seat or a seat that reclines. Super small tray tables but you won't use it unless you purchase snacks or drinks anyways. The seats aren't much smaller than what you'd find on other airlines but a little less cushioned. Also, make sure to pay for your luggage ahead of time and print your boarding pass. You can't use for phone as a boarding pass. Maybe one day they'll get there with the technology but they haven't yet lol"
