I arrived 4 hours later than scheduled, missing an appointment. At the request of the gate agent, I volunteered for free gate-checked luggage due to a very full flight. My bag was never checked and was delivered 14 hours after I had arrived home. 12:30 AM. Crew of the plane was excellent, and the flight itself was thankfully uneventful."

No apologies, no explanations. Flight crew stood at front of plane chatting and laughing, nobody checked on how we were doing, feeling, stressing...more than an hour stuck on plane, late. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Seems to be part of jet blue philosophy to not do so. Ironically, return flight delayed 50 minutes, after boarding, for a cosmetic issue if a seat that was empty"

Cons: "I bought my flight and it had 2 connections. The time frame between flights was HORRIBLE! On the first flight change I was in a horrible rush to get there on time an I barely made it. On the second flight change, I was one of the firsts in coming out on the plane, I didn't stop even for a second and was fast paced and even with that I had to run from half of the airport to the gate because boarding was complete and the flight was waiting for just a few persons (which I met later because it happened the same to all of us) . My flights were on time so all that stress was NOT SUPPOSED to happen. It took forever to being able to get out of the plane and it was more than clear that Avianca didn't took any of that or the airport procedures in mind before selling the flights with connections. And because their lack of organization and being so careless about this matter, my checked bag got stucked. I was lucky enough to get home but my bag did not. And it happened the same to the other people who had problems with their connections too (that's where I met them, when we were the only persons who didn't got the bags and happened to have similar experiences with our connecting flights). I'm really disappointed, I really liked Avianca flights in general but now I know I can't trust in their judgement when it comes to connecting flights, they just sell you the flight and don't care if you're going to be able to make it or not."

Cons: "The original flight was booked to dec 11th 2016 at 10:20am. On dex 9th at about 10pm i got a text message and email telling that my flight was rescheduled and asking me to call Avianca. So i did, and my new flight was booked to leave 2:18pm, arriving in Salvador at night. I asked for options, they offered me a flight at 6am and another at 8:30 am. I said that i would talk to my party and return the call, and we choose the 8:30 flight. When i called back, they said this flight had only 3 seats (we were a party of 6 adt, 1 chd and 2 inf). In the avianca site they were offering the flight for the whole party, but, of course, with a higher rate that i paid in june. The person said she coulndt book it for me, and i should call the SAC (client service) to try to solve the problem. I called the SAC and after 40min in the phone they were able to put everybody on the desired flight. I felt that they were trying to rebook us on a cheaper flight, letting the seats with highest fares to be sold to someone else. Since it was their fault the flight changing, i think it was a bad experience in my first flight with Avianca. Probably will avoid them in the future."

I had to pay for a 24 hours expedite / rush passport. ALSO, once I got my new passport (17 hours later) I was told that I had to pay $170 penalty for moving my departure day and $680 because I had to adjust to the new ticket price. At that point I decide to buy a new ticket with a different airline. AVIANCA SUCKS!!! They are NOT very accommodating at all. Will not recommend this agency and I WILL NEVER ever again will use their service."

There is no guidance out of gate to assist passengers that transfer to get on the right gate on the right bus. In AUS, there is not any announcement for luggage belt. An announcement would be helpful to new arrivals to this airport."

I would recommend that they first see if there is an earlier initial flight that the customer could make, then look at finding later connecting flights. We found out about delay 8 hours prior, so we had plenty of time to get to the airport earlier. Total delay required me to take additional day off of work."

This has interfered with other travel plans and tickets that have already been purchased once I reached my final destination of Bogota, Columbia. I need to reach Quito, Ecuador by March 21st and I'm now back in San Francisco extremely disappointed."

Cons: "We had to cancel our trip because I was hospitalized with Influenza B and pneumonia. We had purchased flight insurance from Allianz. Copa charged us $150 per ticket cancellation fee and remainder was provided as a credit on Copa Airlines. Copa will not refund the ticket cost. This was a special once-in-a-lifetime trip with friends. Not likely that we will make another attempt to fly to Quito or anywhere else Copa flies, so we have a 100% loss."
Cons: "I had an earlier flight that was delayed which caused me to get to the counter 50 minutes before my flight left. The attendant at the counter told me there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call Copa’s reservation number, which he couldn’t even give me he said I needed to look it up myself. Then before I had even called the reservation line he said he was closing the ticket counter and wouldn’t be back until 9:30. I called the reservation line who said that there was nothing they could do because my flight hadn’t even left yet and that I needed to talk to the attendant who had already left. I then waiting over 2 hours for the ticket counter to reopen only to be told that all of my flights through Copa had been cancelled and that I would need to pay almost $2000 just to get on different flights. I ended up having to use a completely different airline and spend an additional $1000 because Copa would not help and was extremely rude. This was the first time I would have flown Copa and I will never fly with them again."

I kindly asked for a can of Sprite when they were distributing the beverages and the flight attendant snapped back while showing me an empty can, but, karma kicked in and she spilled half of my flat Sprite on the carpet; luckily, it didn't spill on me. She could have avoided the mess, embarrassment (both for her and the airline, as she demonstrated incompetency; after all, she represents the airline), and this bad review, if she had kindly complied with my request. There's more, but, I don't want this to be another chapter of 'War and Peace'."

The sweet lady in front of me,, thought English was her second language, had a crew member raise his voice to her to tell her to sit down, this after 30 + minutes of her looking to and for to get someone to just get her a cup of water so she could take her medicine. I suppose she should've pushed the attendant button but with English was her second language she must not have known this procedure? I asked for a soda and once he brought me the disgustingly warm soda with cup of ice I had to hold it on my lap the whole time because my tray table was broken. Def could tell that my once-favorite airline has switched ownership. I know changes have to be made in this day and age but it was really gone downhill. I gave you a 5-star Yelp and 5 Star Trip Advisor last year and have talked you up to so many people; sure wish I could do that again. :("

Got zone 5 at check-in even though I checked in within a couple of minutes beginning the 24 hour window. Very unpleasant travel experience."

They denied me boarding because the plane left early, even though I had checked in online earlier that day, alerted staff in person at the airport that I was on my way to the gate, and arrived at the gate BEFORE the scheduled departure time. One phone call from Sun Country staff could have kept the plane at the gate until the scheduled departure time, and I would have made my flight. This company is not keeping up with its competitors in terms of customer service and convenience, and I will not be giving them my business again."

It was not visible that we even had a reservation ntil speaking with an agent. SC website didn't show that we had a reservation. The agent found the reservation. It was a total pain and nuisance to phone in on both legs of the trip..... Make the outside vendors talk to your system."

Cons: "Everyone knows that traveling with a child is tough, but most of us have to do it. All the passengers were very empathetic and trying to help me entertain my child and the flight attendants on both flights to and from were so rude and judgmental with me. They made a tough flight so much more emotionally draining. They gave me looks, as I was walking my child (the only thing that made him happy) they'd say "Where's your seat??" and make us go back to our seat whenever we were up trying to get him to calm down. No turbulence or anything. It was a nightmare! I've used Delta in the past and they were so much more accommodating and helpful."

In addition I made a mistake with my reservation (off by one day) and they very kindly changed it with no cost. (NOT normally policy, but as a special exception). I was VERY happy that they were flexible in this matter."

Not a big deal - created a little bit of delay when getting off the plane. Had to wait for 10 minutes to get to my cabin luggage which was all the way at the back."

Cons: "On the return flight (out of their hub airport!), their online system failed so it didn't capture that we had prepaid both our checked bags nor our seat selection. When we arrived at the ticketing counter they were essentially accusational about the issue. We showed the confirmation page on our cell phone and even logged into our mobile banking app to show them and still had to argue about paying again. On top of that, they acknowledged the system was having issues and would do absolutely nothing to help us get seats together (my husband and I), let alone anywhere near what we had selected during the online check-in process (we paid extra for an aisle and middle towards the front of the plane, and they gave us two middle seats in the back of the cabin). There were four empty seats in first class, and they wouldn't even bump up a frequent flyer to give us seats together in coach. Not once did anyone apologize, ask how they could help, or just try to be helpful. Both "managers" were clearly poorly trained in handling these situations and defensive and dismissive (walking away while we were speaking). They didn't even offer a free meal voucher. Nothing was done to help rectify the situation. It was honestly shocking how terrible of an experience it was - no indication that they felt we were a paying customer. There were so many little things they could have done even without changing our seats that would have made the situation better. I will never fly this airline again, out of principle, and will absolutely share my experience with everyone I know. If someone from Sun Country reads this, the managers' names are Oniekey Brown and Jolynn Carpenter. I would suggest your management chain have a conversation with both of them and highly suggest training."

Pros: "I haven't flown Sun Country for many years because I couldn't get directly where I was going on that airline. I was so pleasantly surprised on both of my flights--non-stop to and from SFO from MSP--at the cleanliness of the plane, the comfortable seats, the tiny bit of extra knee room made all the difference for me, a long-legged woman of a certain age. The passengers were assigned seats mostly on the aisle and window, giving us an empty middle seat for space and separation of space. That made so much sense. On the flight home, I was not feeling well, and I talked with a Flight Attendant who allowed me to take on of the several empty rows (it was a red eye flight) so I could lie down for a couple hours of the flight. Again, common sense, as the rows were empty, but such a caring gesture. I will sing Sun Country's praises and check their routes first before I make any other arrangements for flights."
