A major concern: stewardesses support the general fashion of darkening the cabin in the interest of movie watchers and general quiet. What about my right to daylight, especially during a day flight from D' dorf to Atlanta? It's helpful against jetlag. 11 hours in a darkened pipe followed by arrival at night time are unhealthy. The film program is not intetesting enough to justify this decision."

Or at least done something to act like they cared. I am disappointed by the lack of initiative. I understand flights cannot wait, and I would have greatly appreciated being saved the trouble of running to a different terminal and instead taking that time to change my travel plans. They may see travelers struggling like this daily, but to each traveler, a hiccup in travel plans trip is stressful and urgent. I ask Delta staff to please consider that when they come to work. Thank you."

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

And to top it off my boyfriend and I had very expensive osprey packs we were traveling with .. We used a copa plastic bag to wrap them up in Vegas so the strings would not get caught .. When we received our packs in Puerto Rico YOUR employees had taken the bags off and cut my boyfriends 300 dollar bag! I will never fly again with your airline."

Upon arriving at Newark, the gate was not available. Come on United this is your hub. Final straw, the baggage took about 50 to 60 minutes to arrive."

Cons: "Bedlam at gate. Three overwhelmed employees trying to kick people off the plane. So many seats on this plane that there's no legroom, but also it makes the plane so heavy that it can't take off safely unless conditions are ideal. THIS IS A REAL THING THAT REALLY HAPPENED. We left 2.5 hours late due to "weather" (not because there are too many goddamn seats on the plane.) Then, before landing, we were asked to stay in our seats so people who are late for connections can get off first. Seems reasonable. THEY DIDN'T HAVE A GATE FOR US WHEN WE LANDED! The captain said 20 minutes til we can get a gate, but he'll try to get it sooner. He apparently didn't succeed, because it was 45 minutes (!!) before we got to the gate! As a result, 3 hours 15 minutes late. Officially this is "due to weather." Sure."

Nothing was provided (pillows, blankets) even though it was a red-eye, international flight. United has been the worst airline I have been on and I will stay away for future flights."

What, they expect you to travel abroad with only 2-3 changes of clothes? The price of the ticket was reasonable ($500), but you end up adding another $100 in luggage and food costs per person."
