Both of these airports had earlier flights BUT your booking service chose the MAXIMUM WAIT time at these transfer airports."

To add to the poor experience when boarding in Panama City, must pass through gate security with no access to a bathroom or ability to bring water on board. Given the inability to bring water, I would hope to have a water service at least twice during the flight in addition to the drink service with dinner."

Cons: "I went through security at Lima Peru (Jorge Chavez International), everything was fine. I arrived to Panama, and the gate was next door which is just great awesome. The bad part was that I had to go through a security check once again there, although I had not left the airport since I left Lima. I went through the exercise, I was told that there would be no liquids (8 oz bottle of water, soda, etc) allowed passed that check point. Yet they were selling these items next to the gate. It made no sense why this checkpoint and why the liquid restrictions. Once in the area if I wanted to go use the restroom or whatever I needed to go through the checkpoint. There were 6 Copa employees manning this station, that's extra expense that the company passes on to the flyer for a step that should be evaluated and look at to see why other airlines do not do this. I was not the only one getting frustrated with this setup, but also passengers that did not speak Spanish they could not communicate with Copa employees. I saw this liquid restriction with Spirit Airlines in Lima, and I decided not to fly with them any more, no matter how inexpensive their fares were. Spirit told us that it was US law that made them have people throw away their drinks, although they were bought in a secured area. To me this was just a way to charge for drinks on the plane. I never had to throw away my drink if I had bought it in a secured area."

Pros: "Loved the check in. No baggage expense. Up to two bags FREE! Then, we had a meal --that was included in the fare. The crew was pleasant and accommodating. Everyone was pleasant. To pass the time on the 5 1/2 hour flight, there were options for movies, TV, games and etc. Overall, it was a pleasant flight. When I book my next trip, I'm going to see if Copa goes there. If so, that's my first choice."

The boarding wasn't good due to the stupid restrictions the US imposes on flights to the USA. We didn't appreciate the fact that the airline didn't let us know in advance that we couldn't buy drinks at the airport. That was a waste of money. The food wasn't good at all though. The coffee was terrible and so were the eggs, but at least we got something."

When arriving at the airport in Tocumen, the agent told us our seats had been changed to the back. They said it was because they changed planes. New seats were in the second to last row, uncomfortable, noisy, and near bathroom. Instead of moving seats forward this is what we received. Disappointing:.."

Pros: "All of my grievances regard the Panama staff at the airport and on the plane, the staff and services at O'Hare were top notch. Customs was extremely fast and efficient and everyone was friendly and did their jobs well. As far as the Panama airlines go, the food was okay, nothing special but not disgusting, and not all the flight attendants were unpleasant."
Cons: "The worst thing that happened was mean spirited security guards at the airport did a security check before allowing us to get to our gate. They forced us to dispose of a bottle of water that we had bought at that very airport. We were then quarantined into a waiting area with no seating and no access to other water, bathroom or food. Then on the plan we were offered beverages twice, so I was only able to get about six swallows of water from Panama to Chicago. Dehydration makes a plane ride a lot less healthy and comfortable. The staff was mostly unpleasant, the seats were really small and uncomfortable (more so than any other airplanes I've been aboard), and for some reasons they kept turning the main lights on and off, allowing us to sleep and then waking us all up for no good reason. Unbelievable."

Cons: "Had over an hour for a connection at Panama city, however there was an additional security checkpoint at the gate so our entire layover was spent in line. There was no explanation for the additional security which was the first problem. Water bottles which were with us on the incoming flight leg were confiscated with no opportunity to replace them with unopened bottles due to the slowdown caused by the additional security. On a 6 hour long international flight, drinks were only served once and that was with dinner. Also, there was only a single movie and a 10+ year old television episode played as entertainment."

There were 3 different food options, and they all came with a little salad; the in flight entertainment was working and people seemed to enjoy it (I was reading a book instead). Boarding was easy and fast, the plane was surprisingly comfortable!"

With difficulty, I got her attention and asked for her help. Announcement made before descending that seat backs should be up. Person in front of me ignored instructions. Cabin crew walked up aisle so fast she missed that and I could not catch her attention. So, seatback was in my face, a safety hazard, the entire descent. When we left, crew muttered thank you for flying us while she was looking at her phone. Did you ever feel that the cabin crew was totally useless?"

We didn't and almost didn't have our cold weather gear for our Antarctic Cruise. Also, we had to leave the international terminal and walk a pretty long distance to the terminal for Ushuaia which was originally difficult to figure out as there wasn't a lot of signage"

It is important to stay hydrated on flights and the small cups of water delivered twice during the flight are not sufficient. No indication was given on tickets of what meals would be served. I ended up paying for a dinner in the airport only to be served a dinner at 12:30 am on the flight. It would make more sensed to have a light snack at that hour and a better breakfast served in the morning. The US Customs card handed to me was in Spanish only. An English option would have been good."

Cons: "Some grumpy crew members that obviously did not appreciate being on the special schedule flight departing at 4am. Priority Boarding had only one security check personnel (as oppose to the six people at regular boarding). This made the boarding process very slow. The airline should allocate personal to the priority boarding first and then move them to the regular boarding once priority boarding is complete."

Pros: "The flight itself was smooth and on time. I got from point A to point B as planned, which is the most important thing."
Cons: "After going through airport security there was another check where they physically went through everyone's carry on bags at the gate right before boarding. It took forever, but I don't begrudge the airline for the stupid things the TSA makes them do. What *was* disappointing and quite disrespectful was that all liquids were confiscated at this check, even though they had all been purchased in the terminal after regular airport security. Water bottles from kiosks and unopened bottles of wine from shops. No warning about this beforehand so we could avoid wasting a bunch of money. Then to add insult to injury, the flight attendants never once responded to the call bell. I was trapped in the middle of the row behind a sleeping fat man desperate for water and without my water bottle. One little cup with each meal didn't cut it, so I came off my 11 hour flight nice and dehydrated and feeling ill."

Cons: "The seats are the worst. Very uncomfortable and without head support. No entertainment on board."

Pros: "I liked the size of the plane. It made boarding quick and easy and there was lots of space for carry-on luggage. I also liked the amount of space I had for my feet. I was surprised we got a little snack and I thought the crackers, chocolate cookie, and lemon cookie were great."
Cons: "I wish I had had a pillow to sleep with. There was also some extremely rough turbulence when leaving Buenos Aires heading south and it made me really nervous, and I normally never get nervous on flights."

Cons: "Why the hell would you sell a flight with a 40 minute transfer between a domestic and international flight that were in different terminals?! The only reason I made it was because the airport crew was great in helping me get through the airport quickly. And the only reason my luggage made it on time was because my flight was delayed for two hours."

United seats are smaller more cramped than your competitors making for an uncomfortable flight. Flight had no in flight entertainment or ability to charge mobile devices"

Pros: "I am slow walking due to health issues. Coming from Kansas City to Chicago was a problem. My daughter who was with me is physically handicapped. There was no transportation to assist us to get from one terminal to another one when we arrived. Thank goodness we had a two and one-half hour overlay. Going home was a different story. Two wonderful gentleman met us as we disembarked and speedily got us to our flight. We only had 30 minutes and they made sure we were there. Issac and the other man are to be commended!"

Cons: "Polaris class - the configuration felt like a military transport. The business class configuration was like a pig sty.... bad bad. Seats facing backward..... but the look was like a crowded economy with flat beds. Looked like a college dorm. I've sworn never to fly United ever. I'll pay $2000 extra to avoid legs where they are flying. Food - flushable. Don't offer vegetarian food if you can't prepare it. I'll carry some Taco Bell. Horrendous. Service excellent, courteous people and prompt attention."

Cons: "The flight got delayed and we were told it was "basically cancelled" so we got on a different flight out for the morning but were told we couldn't get a hotel voucher because we volunteered to get off the flight. Very disappointed, will never fly united again. The flight ended up getting cancelled 5 minutes after we "volunteered" to get a different flight too. Luckily we were able to get onto a different airline who helped us out. United dropped the ball big time."

Cons: "There was a delay with the flight. I wish there had been earlier communication about what was going on, i.e. Why it was delayed, how long will the delay be."

Cons: "Plane didn't leave until 2.5 hours after expected departure time and we never got an actual reason why. This also made me miss my connecting flight so I had to spend an additional 6 hours in the airport waiting."

Cons: "My flight out of traverse city was cancelled but I rebooked on a different airlines through united to be able to get to my destination in time for an event that day. It was a long process but I made it and really appreciated all the work the agent on the phone did for me. When I arrived at the airport they had my resvervation but no ticket... luckily we worked it out"

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Cons: "Our flight home we couldn't land in Chicago due to storms and diverted to Madison. Sat on Tarmac 2 hours and some passengers from Madison allowed to end journey there. We had to wait for that approval and again had to wait for their luggage to be removed from the plane. My opinion is let them disembark but not the luggage. It was too long to be in that plane"

Cons: "The male gate agent in pittsburgh was the rudest and least helpful person I have every met in all my travels. When flight was delayed for weather reasons, and looking like we might not connect in ORD he could only say 'call united'"

Cons: "Most of the time, the weak link is in check-in. For CLE-ORD, too many huge personal bags & carry-ons slipped thru the process resulting in takeoff delay as the staff checked for overhead cabin space back & forth. Inside the jet, the crew had to look for cabin space, rearrange ridiculously large bags...in order to fit my backpack. More delay. Some "personal" items were larger than most carryons."

Pros: "They had movies you could watch, for a price"
Cons: "I think united pays it's staff to be unnecessarily rude. It's so much rudeness that is almost ridiculous. Their demands, censure and dismissals of customers would make you think that you are their servants instead of customers."

Cons: "During my round trip my flight was delayed 4 times and canceled twice. On the first cancellation I had to get a hotel room because the next flight wasn't for 24 hours. Then, that flight was canceled but the booked me on another airlines. At first they were going to make me wait another 24 hours until I had told her that I had already did that once. The desk clerks were rude on every encounter."

Pros: "I'm handicapped and the help getting from terminal to terminal. The people were very helpful."
Cons: "I have metal leg braces. I had to remove them to get in the seat. So the flight was uncomfortable. It would be nice if the plane could have handicapped seating.I know I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for comfortable seating."

Cons: "My itinerary had to completely change."

Pros: "Pilots and some flight attendants were kind and friendly."
Cons: "On the return home, I was seated in the last row right next to the lavatory. I was bumped into at least 25 times by other passengers and flight attendants. I would suggest removing the aisle seat on both sides."

Pros: "The crew was the most polite, calm and reassuring crew I've ever come across. When faced with the mounting frustrations of a cabin full of delayed passengers, these guys were smooth as silk. Bravo!"

Pros: "When l got to airport I was advised my flight had been canceled. Rerouted on United airlines thru Washington Dulles. Waited on Tarmac 2 1/2 hours due to bad weather, etherwise everything was good."

Pros: "I liked when I got home 12 plus hours later than I was supposed to!"
Cons: "The three canceled flights and 7 delays that I was out through were awful!"

Cons: "We got on board, waited 20 minutes. Capt said it was a bad reverser, and we were waiting on paperwork for 15 minutes. Long story short, they make us leave the plane after 2.5 hours. Then we wait in the airport for another 2.5 hours. I missed my connection and spent 10 hours in Chicago."

Cons: "The seats on the flight from LAX to ORD are built for people who are under 6' tall. You need to disclose the fact that your seats cannot accomodate a person who is 6'2" and 200 lbs. or you will need to accept medical responsibility for the damage done to a persons musculoskeketal system."
