Cons: "The FLIGHT!!!!! There were delays. Scheduled take of time was 6:59 PM. We took off at 735 PM. Once I was on the plane, I started kicking myself in the you know what because I knew immediately I was scammed. I had purchased a 1st Class ticket for $400+, only to find that my comfort would be the equivalent of that if I purchased a ticket in economy. My long legs would still be cramped. For the past few years, I have been purchasing 1st class for it's spaciousness. On this flight, on the RCJ700, I did not fly comfortably. The space was very tight, and I was able to stretch my legs as if I sat in economy. This was by far, my most uncomfortable flight ever. SMH; A WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!"

Pros: "But, this wasn't bad at all, even though we were on the very last seat of the plane. We were next to one of the flight attendants during take off and landing and she was very kind and we were speaking with her. The flight was smooth"

Cons: "I purchased a first class ticket in hopes that I would have a lot more comfort during the flight. It took me quite some time to get comfortable. The seat was ok, but I found the pillows to be very small and flat. I needed multiple pillows. The head rest was not adjustable, so I also found this to be uncomfortable. Usually when I fly AA, the headrest is adjustable. My final dislike was that the beverage selection was limited. I'm quite sure there was plenty of alcohol, but what about those customers who do not drink alcoholic beverages? I asked for hot chocolate, there was none. I asked for hot tea with honey, there wasn't any. So all in all my flight was okay, but that is solely because of the flight attendant and pilot. They did their jobs and they did an excellent job."

I didn't like that my flight time was changed more than 15 times with no reason why until boarding time. I didn't like the fact that I did not get a seat assignment until boarding the plane. I didn't like the fact that they couldn't manage to scramble another plane and crew, but instead forced us to wait over four hours for one that was stuck somewhere else in the country."

Pros: "The delta employees kept us informed of what was going on with the jetway which had broken. Despite the chaotic boarding, we arrived at our destination on time! Way to go! I do love delta."
Cons: "Due to the construction in the airport, there is a small area for this group of people to be ready to board, therefore, it was very difficult to move or get around, Suggest that employees give more instructions about boarding procedures and suggest that people line up accordingly in the right order. They should explain the order of entry, and ask for people who are the last group to stay back so that those who board first are allowed through."

We were Delayed, which is understandable, but not sure why we couldn't board and wait for crew to come on to speed up process rather than waiting for crew to arrive to even begin boarding process. I assume it's a safety thing but seems like there could be a better way to handle this and speed up process to make sure people aren't missing connecting flights."

The headphone jacks and headphones they gave us on the plane were not compatible. If it twisted even a bit, it would lose the connection. I understand these may seem petty, but they are things we've come to expect on airline travel. If they aren't going to be there, please let us know when we book our tickets so we can plan accordingly. The flight attendant for my section of the plane was cold and a bit rude. I didn't want to ask her for anything."

I had to go from gate E 6 to gate B14 in a flash at the age of 66 I barely made it out of breath and they were about to close the doors! I was not a happy camper when I was told in the flight 5406 that I had plenty of time!!! not to worry!!!"

Cons: "Got a notification of a TWO HOUR DELAY departing SFO. Rebooked into Charlotte instead of Dallas to connect to Fort Myers. THAT flight got delayed AFTER the doors were closed by another 45 minutes which caused me to miss my connection to Fort Myers AND have American Airlines leave my bag in Charlotte. I rebooked into West Palm Beach to drive to Fort Myers and my bag stayed in Charlotte even though there was ANOTHER 45 minute delay to change a tire on the plane. If I practiced medicine the way the airline handled customers, I'd kill every third patient!"

Cons: "It really wasn't "On-Time", but you couldn't tell that from the monitors. (I'm sure you like to keep your statistics "clean", but they shouldn't be dishonest.) A TSA? agent had us initially wait in a long incorrect line after we picked up our passport scanner sheets even though we told her we had a tight connection. Afterwards, she moved us along with a few others. That line could have swamped us!"

The flight it's leg was an hour and a half late leaving but only put us about 50 minutes late to our destination which eas great. Stewardesses seemed very angry and were visibly distressed. There's no reason or excuse for this. I work on hospitality and you always put your best face forward. Being short and calice with EVERYONE on the flight does nothing to help you."

Cons: "The flight was actual operated by American Airlines, so don't blame Finair. I had to call Finair for a question and they were polite and helpful. The crew on the plane on the flight from Charlotte to Rome were just mean, curt, and generally unhelpful. They did not collect trash or dinner trays for well over an hour after everyone had finished. The Italian gentleman next to us was so disgusted he got up and found the trashcan himself and refused to talk to the flight crew the rest of the trip.It didn't matter because they disappeared after dinner and no one saw them again for 5 or 6 hours. On the flight back from Rome the crew was nice but slack. They skipped all the back rows twice row 34 onwards) when they got distracted during a refreshment service. They also repeatedly told passengers they were out of a specific item on the cart but "you can go to the back and see for yourself if we have any".Customs is out of control. They refused to allow anyone off the plane for over an hour because they had another flight come in "from the islands". Then they yelled at us about calling relatives to let them know what the holdup was. It took 1 and 1/2 hours to get through customs because they made us use the new kiosks then go see a real person and answer questions there too."

Cons: "Prior flight was late getting in, but that was not communicated to us at the gate, even though that would require disembarking of previous passengers and boarding of new ones to happen in 6 minutes. Clearer communication would be better."

Cons: "The flight was supposed to arrive in Newark at 4:30. But it did not leave Charleston until 6:15 PM! This is not the 1st time this has happened with United. It seems that they are always some kind if “weather” delay with United flights arriving and departing Newark. Also, they are constantly cancelling flights to/from there. I would suggest looking at a different airline, perhaps one that cares more about the passengers iteneraries than the number of passengers."

Only as I was boarding the plane did I receive a late text telling me there was a Terminal change. The flight attendants passed me by with the drink cart and never came back to service me"

Cons: "Will never fly United again if I can help it. Friday afternoon out of CLT was cancelled and rescheduled for Sat afternoon, we had a Friday night wedding and had to get to Chicago. Agents were completely unhelpful over the phone, went to the airport agents at ticketing counter were also unhelpful and threw up their hands like there was nothing they could do to help us. Finally had to switch to Delta and got to Chicago at 1AM EST, missed the wedding."

I also liked the wifi which allowed me to check where my flight was in the air for free. Overall, I will say united is much improved from where it was - though I'd appreciate some free entertainment."
Cons: "Boarding was a little bit of a mess with our flight. We had a LOT of people on standby that were standing in the boarding lines because no one was communicating to them where they should be and where to go. This is something that should be worked on by them."

For health reasons I did not want the trip to baggage and I did not want to risk my bag being lost. I drive 3 hrs o the airport and I did not want to drive back or wait 3 days for a lost bag to be sent to me as I have before. The person at the gate was rude when I said you won't lose my luggage will you? he said Probably. I said really, and he said well you did ask."

If I were not paying attention my bag would have got left at the exit of the plane like one person from my group who had to stay in Denver to pick up his bag in the morning after being told his bag wasn't at the exit of the plane and he couldn't go check for it."

Cons: "We were grounded for over an hour, no fault of United. Spent a half hour on the runway, it would've been nice to be told that before taking off."

Cons: "The only thing I didn't care for is I sat beside a man that was 63 and weighed about 275 pounds and I had absolutely no room to sit. Also I couldn't buy any snacks on the plane because it only took cards ."

Pros: "I requested a wheelchair. My foot is in a boot and I am not suppose to walk any distance on it. I was told there were only 2 wheelchairs and that they were for 2 elderly passengers. I passed 8 more wheelchairs that were not being used. Very rude airport employees. I had to use an escalator and almost fell."

Cons: "The flight was delayed over 3 hours, putting me home at 4:00 am, instead of my planned 12:30 am. At that point, I wish I had booked a flight for Sunday. I was stuck in the ohare airport for hours while stores and restaurants were closed, without wifi, and tired. Then I had to wait for my paid checked bag once I landed in Charlotte."

Cons: "I didn’t like the costumer service, nor the way the airline handle my case."

Cons: "Other flights I have been on let us know what section or terminal we are being dropped off at before we take off and once we get there it is had changed. It helps people who are getting picked up a lot easier especially in a big airport."

Cons: "Charge for the luggage was $52.00 when I could buy on line for carry on for $37.00. On the way back the charge was $59.00 for the same luggage."

Cons: "Imagine an all you can eat buffet for $5 with all the best things like prime rib and king crab legs. The reality sets in when they charge you $55 for a plate and an $25 for a fork to eat with. If you want to drink there is an additional $25 water service fee. If you need to use the bathroom that will cost you an additional $50. Your $5 buffet has now cost you $160. The only difference between the above scenario and my flight was the buffet actually cost $300 to start with before piling on the additional fees. It is the only airline that flies directly to Myrtle Beach from here. I had no zero options otherwise without long layovers. The one redeeming thing about this flight was the crew."

Cons: "There was a weird smell in the row I was seated in. Passengers on later flight where excessively drunk and rowdy and this impeded other people from sleeping. My previous spirit flight made me uncomfortable because everyone was drunk in the exit row (which is supposed to respond in case of emergency)."

Pros: "I had more leg room than I thought I would. Also the window seats were nice. My personal item fit nicely under the seat in front of me too. Flight attendants were wonderful!"

Cons: "They put us on the plane only to have us sit in our tiny seats and wait for the luggage and fuel to be loaded and wait some more. Then charge us for everything -even water! Then hard bumpy landing that included a severe tilting of the plane to the left, which made the plane go quiet!"

Pros: "I like that you can use website to change and adjust your flights. I like technology."
Cons: "However, this website was not designed with users in mind. Not easy to find baggage additions and changes. Also, why would the system allow you to have baggage one way when you think that you have set the baggage to go both ways. At lease there should be a warning that you have only paid for one way so you can make adjustment."

Pros: "Everything was great about our flight on Spirit Air"

Pros: "Direct/Nonstop Flight from DTW is a plus. Low price for the most basic transportation. Cabin crew courtesy was acceptable but it's not hard to detect that they're not the happiest folks in the air these days."
Cons: "What can I say about the "Greyhound of the Skies"? These have to be the most uncomfortable seats in the airline industry, both in terms of cushioning as well as width and the inability to recline even slightly. There arent even seat pockets for the safety brochure...just a flimsy bungee cord. While I don't really have an issue with no beverages/snacks provided (I'm content to bring my own), I wish Spirit would knock off the low ball price game with everything being a cash grab including asking me to pony an extra couple of bucks so you can "green up" through the use of more environmentally friendly supplies (I don't know why...you ding people $10 for a boarding pass, and you on board refreshments are pay as you go). Crews seem to be stressed out whenever I fly....I guess instead of paying them more than their DEAD LAST payscale ranking indicate, the $ you make are passing them by on the way to the corporate board room and executive suite. SWA (and others) manage to have very successful low cost business models without reaching in my pockets at every turn. Given the choice...even if its a little more...i won't be flying on Spirit. Front office....get a clue and read the reviews, lest your aircraft find themselves parked in the desert somewhere alongside all the other carriers that went belly up. End of rant"

They were not only unhelpful and unapologetic, but actually quite hostile as they informed me that they would be offering no compensation or voucher, and would not place me on another flight for 2 days (although they were still advertising flights for the next day on their website)."

Cons: "I arrived an hour before my designated flight time but the line to obtain my ticket was so backed up that it resulted in me missing my flight. There were only two spirit agents who were taking up to ten minutes with each person that approached the desk which is outrageous considering the fast paced nature of an airport."

Cons: "The crew was extremely rude. My daughters luggage was severely damaged including the flat iron inside getting broken. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable and you have to pay for everything under the sun. My flight ended up being much more expensive than other carriers but Spirit was the only one that had an available route to meet our cruise ship due to the snow storm."

Cons: "The airlines lied outright to passengers regarding the reason for the 4 hour delay. Reported a ground delay to Laguardia because of ice and snow. It was 43 degrees in NYC!!!! When I pointed that I ought the agent just shrugged. When pressed repeatedly after several hours by various passengers they admitted it was a Spirit Air systems failure. The gate agents were less than helpful and were down right rude when multiple sought information regarding the delay. ( We boarded, pushed off the gate, sat on the tarmac, then were brought back and allowed to leave the plane and wait at the gate) I will never fly with then again."

Cons: "I am an average sized person. The seating is very cramped. My knees were pressed up against the seat in front of me, very uncomfortable!! Thank god it was only an hour and a half flight. I thought that the flight attendants were very unfriendly. ANd my cheap flight was not really cheap at all, with all the extras, being one suitcase.... Really 50dollars for one suitcase. Spirit ends up costing more than any other airline and they at least give you a snack and a drink, coffee, tea, water!!!!"

Cons: "I bought these tickets through Kayak, which then directed me to priceline. I had no idea during booking that this airline charges an exorbitant fee for every single courtesy. To carry on a bag is minimum $55 and maximum $100. To check a bag is $50. Please tell me, who flies internationally from Guatemala to Boston WITH NO BAGS?! Additionally, soft drinks, which should be complementary are priced at $3. Their motto is don't pay hidden fees for things you don't use, but tell me, who doesn't want a drink on a 2.5 hour flight? The seats were the skinniest, thinnest, most uncomfortable seats I have ever had the displeasure in sitting in and there were advertisements on the overhead compartments, as if I were riding on the NYC subway. Although when I purchased the seats I selected to have my husband and myself sit next to each other, during check in, they tried to charge an additional $10 to rearrange our incorrectly-ticketed seats, so we could sit together as I had originally hoped. We then had the worst layover experience I've had to date, and I've traveled extensively domestically and to 14 countries, some multiple times. We had a 40-minute layover in Myrtle Beach, where 130 people remained on the plane to continue on to Boston. However, nearly all those passengers had different tickets for the second flight and although we did not deplane, we were expected to move ourselves and our baggage to our secondarily assigned seats. For some reason, for our flight to Boston, my husband and I were separated. I would never have voluntarily chosen to be separated from my husband, and I have no idea how we had seats next to each other for our two previous flights, but then were asked to separate for our third 2-hour flight. How is it possible with modern-day computer technology that we could not just remain in our same seats, when we were remaining on the same plane? This was the worst travel experience I have ever had the displeasure of enduring and I will NEVER give my money to this airline again. This airline is a complete scam with all of its hidden costs, lack of customer service and completely inhumane treatment of its passengers. I strongly warn everyone to stay far away from Spirit Airlines."

Pros: "The woman at the Spirit check in counter in Myrtle Beach airport was friendly, cheerful and downright fun. She put in a lot of extra effort to get my partner and I seated together. Dark hair, I think her name started with an M, but can't recall exactly. Anyway it was one of the best check in experiences ever, and I've had many."
Cons: "Couldn't seem to pre check in without being forced to sign up for the 9-dollar fare club (which I tried for a year and I can say it's a waste - why wouldn't they just be more realistic - nobody expects to pay that little). Probably missed something but I was doing it on my iPad. Worse is being forced to sit through an intrusive an typically loud 2+ minute long commercial for the Spirit MasterCard on every flight! The blaring PA system is very annoying and interrupts any activity you are attempting. What's worse is the completely misleading claims that the gazillion bonus points you get for signing up right away amount to nearly 4 round trip tickets. I tried it once and quickly found that all of the bonus points didn't even cover a single flight. It's downright false advertising."

Cons: "Flight 711 out of Myrtle Beach,SC was cancelled without any notification! Only emails I got were one saying my flight was on time and then another, 20min later, saying flight was delayed. My wife and I and about eight other people were there without any notifications of the cancellation and the spirit workers had no remorse and were rude! They did not care we were late for our honeymoon. Thank goodness we at least got our money back but I think there should be something else coming from them for the hassles we had to tolerate yesterday December 14, 2015 considering we had to pay double the price of our original tickets on a different airline."

Cons: "I flew to SC on JetBlue, which cost me around $90 in total, because they let you fly with one bag for free. Because of scheduling, I flew home on Spirit. My ticket for the Spirit leg cost $78, but at the airport, I was charged another $75 in baggage fees!!! At the airport, Spirit charges you $50 to check one bag. To add insult to injury, they charged me an additional $25 to check my 44 lb bag because it was "overweight," Unbeknownst to me, unlike all other domestic airlines with a weight limit of 50 lbs, Spirit has a weight limit of 40 lbs. The same bag that I flew down on JetBlue for free cost me $75 to fly home, nearly (unexpectedly) DOUBLING my ticket price at the airport."
